The Batcave. Tim was, yet again, sitting at the Bat-Computer.
Tim:
Looks like Maxie Zeus has disappeared, probably to Greece.
AI:
DESIGNATION- HUNTRESS.
Helena arrives. Tim looks away from the computer.
Tim:
So how was training?
Helena:
Half good, half not good.
Tim:
Oh, why?
Helena:
Kacey almost got hurt and I might have gone too far with Mar'i.
Tim:
Lemme guess; Damian.
Helena:
He went to see her to fix what I broke. Those were his exact words.
Grayson Residence: Meanwhile.
AI:
DESIGNATION- ROBIN.
Damian arrives to see Koro waiting for him.
Koro:
I suspected you would come.
Damian:
How is she?
Koro:
Come see for yourself but keep your distance.
Damian:
You really know how to reassure people.
He and Koro walk to the Crisis Room. It is a room that Starfire asked to be built to test the children's powers and also to calm them and her down. It is virtually indestructible and soundproof. Damian approaches the door and can feel the ground shaking
Damian:
Come on, you can do it.
He opens the door and dodges several starbolts.
Damian:
Mar'i, it's me!
Mar'i turns off her starbolts.
Mar'i:
Damian, what are you doing here?
Damian:
I wanted to see how you were doing. And it seems to be getting better since your powers are working.
Mar'i:
Actually, I never lost my starbolts. It's just that I was afraid one of them would touch your sister. She really pissed me off.
Damian:

Silkie makes another noise.

Hey, Koro, did you feed Silkie?
Koro:
Yes.
Mar'i:
He's still hungry.
Koro:
Are you sure that's what he wants? He may need to be petted.
Mar'i:

Silkie makes a noise. Mar'i sighs.
Mar'i:

The front door opens. Starfire enters.

Selina enters the cave.

Selina:

Damian:

He walks up the stairs.
Selina:

She wears an outfit similar to yours, although very revealing.
Selina:

Wayne Manor. Damian enters through the Grandfather clock; it closes behind him. He enters the kitchen, where Alfred is making dinner.
Damian:
What are we eating, Alfred? Whatever it is, it smells good.
Alfred:
Lasagne, Master Damian.
Ace is at his feet, watching Alfred put the tray in the oven.
Damian:
Alfred, have you thought about feeding Ace?
Alfred:
I'm feeding all of you.
Damian:
I'll feed him.
Damian goes to the pantry and pulls out a bag of dog biscuits; he pours the bag into Ace's bowl. Ace begins to eat happily. Damian leaves the kitchen.
Grayson Residence: Meanwhile.
Starfire (Voice):
Mar'i, Koro, dinner!
Koro:
I'm coming!
Mar'i:
One minute!
Koro goes to the dining room where his parents are already seated.
Koro:
So what are we eating?
Starfire:
Meatballs with rice.
Koro (Sitting down):
Great.
Dick:
Mar'i, hurry up, it'll get cold!
Mar'i:

She flies to the dining room.
Koro:

They look down at her feet; they have almost doubled in size.
Koro:
Don't get upset.. It will be hidden by the holographic rings.
Mar'i:
Yes, fortunately. (She puts her rings on her fingers) Or not.
Koro:
You are always barefoot, though.
Mar'i:
Victor configured the rings to hide my body imperfections, not to change my clothes. Damn!
Koro:
You just have to say that you prefer to be barefoot today.
Mar'i:

Koro:

Mar'i:
I decided to be barefoot today and as a leader I allow anyone who wants to be barefoot to take off their footwear.
Alloroc:
I would only remove them if I need to go in the water.
Kacey:
Dad told me I should never take my shoes off when I run. You never know where you're going.
Lian/Olivia:
No thank you.
Jaden:
I need my boots to fly so no.
Lilith:

She takes off her shoes and walks up to Koro.
Lilith:
You should do the same, Koro.
Koro:

Mar'i:

Koro:

Lilith:

She turns her arms into tentacles and hugs Koro.

Murdoc (Thinking):

Damian:

Mar'i:
I decided to come barefoot today and as a leader I allow anyone who wants to be barefoot to take off their shoes.

Damian:

Now that we're all here, I'll explain today's training to you. I will pair up and you will face an enemy in the holographic training room. The goal of the exercise will be to beat him as a team.

She turns on the holograms modelled to resemble Slade-Bots. Koro lights his eyes blue and Lilith turns her arms into those of a gorilla. Lilith charges first, hitting any Slade-Bots in her path. Koro flies away and throws starbolts at those who approach her.
Mar'i:
Okay, time to make it more interesting.
Weapons spawn into the Slade-Bot's hands. Koro equips his bo-staff. He deals blows from his staff coupled with his strength, sending them flying far. Lilith resumes her normal arms and changes her legs to those of a gazelle to dodge shots so that she can stomp on opponents in her path, while telekinetically crushing bots with her violet magic.
Mar'i:
So far, they're doing well.
She turns off the holograms. Koro and Lilith stop. Lilith resumes her normal legs.
Lilith:
Already finished?
Mar'i:
Next pair. Superboy, Huntress.
Jon:
Are they still the same opponents?
Mar'i:
You'll each be facing different opponents; this is essential to prepare for any situation. We won't be facing Slade though; he's locked up in Maximum Security. I still have nightmares about him though; he tried to kill me when I was just a baby.
Helena:
Okay, let's get started.
She readies her crossbows, as Mar'i spawns in a different set of enemies; Shadow Assassins. Jon flies away and swiftly hits all the assassins in his path. Helena is surprised and arms an arrow but before she can shoot, there's no one left standing.
Helena:
Hey, it's teamwork!
Jon:
You could say I protected you.
Helena:
I don't need protection, especially against these kinds of adversaries.
Mar'i:
Stop! Respawning enemies! Now, do it again, as a team!
Jon:
After you.
Helena:
Thanks.
She shoots explosive arrow after explosive arrow at the assassins. Jon flies away and uses his heat vision to destroy those far from Helena.
Mar'i:
Now, that's better.
All the assassins disappear.
Helena:
It's still better when you let me attack.
Jon:
Yeah, sorry.
Mar'i:
Hornet and Kid Flash, you're next.
Jaden puts on his armour and Kacey crackles her fingers.
Mar'i:
Okay, you two. You'll be facing...
Kacey:
Stop the suspense, Miss Perfect!
Mar'i:
...Gordanian Bounty Hunters.
Kacey:
I feel ready to destroy them all and that will not make Miss Perfect happy.
Jaden:
Okay.
He flies off and activates his missile launchers on his shoulders
Jaden:
Goodbye, space lizards.
He launches the missiles at six Gordanians, destroying them.
Kacey:
Okay, I've waited long enough.
She rushes over and crashes into a Gordanian, disarming him and picking up his lance.
Kacey:
Nice. It's mine now.
She runs and stabs the Gordanians in her path. Jaden arms his two sonic cannons and demolishes the remaining Gordanians.
Mar'i:
Nice. Using their own weapon against them; a good strategy.
Kacey:
Thanks, Boss. It was, like yesterday, easy.
Mar'i:
All because of your hexes and speed.
Kacey:
So it's already over ?
Mar'i:
Yes. Damian and Murdoc!
Damian unsheathes his sword as he and Murdoc approach the combat circle.
Damian:
You shouldn't be using your demonic magic.
Murdoc changes his arms to a bear's.
Murdoc:
Don't give me orders, Wayne.
Olivia walks up to Mar'i.
Olivia:
Uh...why did you put these two together? They keep arguing.
Mar'i:
I hope they fight the holograms instead of each other.
Damian:
I don't want you to fail this exercise like you did yesterday.
Murdoc:
I already told you I didn't do it on purpose!
Damian:
All the more reason for you not to use your demonic magic!
Murdoc:
I'll do what I want! You're not the boss here!
He punches Damian across the room. Mar'i gasped; Damian gets up.
Damian:
You asked for it, Logan.
Damian charges at Murdoc, ready to swing his sword. Helena presses a button on her communicator; Lilith does the same to her communicator.
AI:
DESIGNATION- BATMAN. DESIGNATION- RAVEN.
Bruce and Raven arrive at the training room. Murdoc and Damian freeze.
Damian:
Hi, Dad. What do you want?
Murdoc:
Hi, Mom. What's happening?
Bruce:
I want you to stop fighting each other!
Damian:
Murdoc started it!
Murdoc:
Because you pissed me off!
Raven:
Enough!
She unleashes a black magic shockwave that fills the training room. Everyone is stunned.
Murdoc:
Sorry, Mom.
Raven and Bruce return to the Zeta tube and leave.
Mar'i:
Training is over for the day.
Olivia:
But I haven't even practiced!
Lian:
Me neither.
Alloroc:
It suits me, I don't really see how to fight with my powers in this room.
Paine:
These arguments are puerile.
Mar'i:

She rushes towards him. After several hesitations, Murdoc gives her a kiss on the cheek.

She turns on itself at high speed, causing a tornado.
Jaden:
Calm down, Kacey. I'm trying to fix the door.
Kacey stops.
Kacey:
Sorry.
Jaden:
Jon, can you help me ?
Jon:
No problem.
He uses his thermal vision to weld the two pieces of the door together then grabs the door and blocks it in its place.
Lian:
Olivia, I want revenge on yesterday.
Olivia:
As you want but there is a chance that I will win again.
They exit the training room.
Grayson Residence- Later. Mar'i is talking to her parents.
Starfire:
So what happened?
Dick:
Bruce told me Damian disrupted training.
Mar'i:
Well, I guess that means I have the Leader position.
Koro:

Mar'i:

Koro:

He walks out of Mar'i's room with his wife; they disappear downstairs.

It's so funny. If he had stayed, I would've continued by saying that you had a serious crush on Damian.
Mar'i:
Shut up! (Her hands begin glowing green) You tell Mom and Dad, and we won't be allowed back at Grandpa's.
Koro:
You won't be allowed anymore. Why would I be concerned? I don't have a romantic relationship with Helena. Yuck! And anyway, I was kidding. How are you going to do if you decide to get married? Or if you have children? You won't be able to hide it forever.
Mar'i:
We're not related by blood though.
Koro:

Koro laughs.

Okay, let's change the subject. Take off your holographic rings.
Mar'i:

Koro:
I want to see where your transformation is.
Mar'i:

Damian:

He pauses his video and Mar'i enters the room.
Mar'i:
I need to talk to you about something important.
She closes the door.
Damian:
This is about the birds and the bees isn't it?

She takes off the rings, unveiling her true appearance.
Damian:

He types it in; the internet comes back on. Helena finally wakes up.
Helena:
Oh, what a horrible nightmare. (She touches her face) And why do my cheeks sting?
Damian:

Why did you hit me?
Damian:
Because you passed out.
Selena:
What was that nightmare you had Helena?
Helena:
There was a monster with sharp claws sucking Damian's soul out of his body.
Damian growls, crossing his arms.
Damian:
You watch too much Harry Potter.
Helena:
No I don't.
Selina (Thinking):
It's intriguing. Mar'i has very long fingernails. Could it be possible that she has... (She shakes her head) No, impossible.
She turns to her daughter.
Selina (Out loud):
You're looking fine now. So I'll leave you.
She leaves. Damian sighs in relief.
Damian:
That was close.
Tim walks by, wearing a black suit with a red tie and his hair combed.
Helena:
Where are you going, Tim?
Tim:
Steph and I are going to the Theatre. We're seeing a ballet of 'Black Swan'.
Helena:
Okay. You should invite Mar'i, brother.
Damian:
No way. Everyone will freak out and she'll be hunted for sport, or mocked.
Helena:
What are you talking about? Since when is Mar'i going to be ridiculed or kicked out? She inherited the beauty of her mother, I think.
Tim:
That's right. She passed by earlier. She was radiant. On the other hand, I hope you are not going to be jealous, she teleported to the Logans. Probably to see Murdoc.
Damian (Thinking):
Okay, Tim didn't see Mar'i's real appearance but Helena? She must have thought it was a nightmare and that I didn't really kiss Mar'i. (Out loud) No, I'm fine. She's just going to tell Murdoc and Paine that she's changing the duets because of the problem we had earlier. I'm going to be with Paine. It'll be a lot better.
Tim:
Okay. She'd better not be a paine to work with.
Damian:
Very funny. Believe me, it can't be worse than with Murdoc.
Helena:
Enjoy the show.
Tim nods and leaves.
