Its been almost a week since Ross and Rachel got engaged and today, they were going to see their baby for the first three girls were at Monica's apartment casually talking about the wedding
"When are you guys planning to get married?" Monica asks her
"Around April 17th Pheebs. It would be a good date." Rachel tells her.
"That's cool. And how are things between you and Ross?" Phoebe asks her
"It's good. We both are really excited to have the baby." She tells her
Just on cue, Ross enters Apt 20.
"Hey Rach, we need to go to the hospital." Ross tells her while giving a soft peck on the lips
"Yeah. I'm seriously excited" Rachel tells him
"Its completely normal Rach. Soon you will pick up your ways of being a mommy
"She gives him a tight hug and they exit

They were excited to see their baby for the first time. Rachel was anxious at the same time excited to see her baby for the first time. She is excited to be a mother and even though she had experience with Ben, but this was different. It is going to be their baby.
"Is it normal to be excited and anxious about seeing our baby for the first time." Rachel asks him out of curiosity
"Its seriously normal and being honest, I am sharing with only one woman unlike the time when Carol was pregnant with Ben." Ross replied
Just then, the doctor arrived to check on Rachel.
"Hi Rachel. How are you doing?" Dr Long casually asks her.
"I guess I'm fine apart from that a bit anxious and excited." Rachel replies.
"Good. Now I'm going to see show you the baby." Dr Long puts some kind of a jelly on Rachel's belly and with the help of the transducer, They both see the baby on the monitor.
"That's your baby." Dr Long announced. " You are 8 weeks along and you are due somewhere around late August to early September."Dr Long tells her
"I can see it." Rachel announced.
"Good, I'm going to give you guys a minute." Dr Long exits the room
"Do you see the baby?" Ross questions her.
"No, I don't." Rachel suddenly burst into tears."I didn't want the doctor to think that I am a bad mother who cannot see her kid". Rachel tells him sobbing
"See this is our baby." Ross points on the screen while pulling her and pointing the baby on the screen.
"Still, I don't see it." Rachel cries and lies back on the table
"Do you see this little peanut. That's our baby." Ross pulls her back and points the baby on the screen.
"Thanks Ross. I don't know what would I do without you." Rachel tells him
Later the doctor re-enters the cabin.
"I'll give you the recording of your baby. And Rachel, if your morning sickness increases, I recommend you to have a herbal tea and I'll write down some iron supplements." Dr Long gives her the prescription and they exit the office.

It was the day when Ross and Rachel are going to tell the parents about their engagement and about the baby. Rachel was excited to meet her in laws who were like her second parents. Ross hoped that they would take the news positively. They both go to the Geller home to meet Jack and Judy. Ross knocks the door along with Rachel. Jack Geller opens the door.
"Hi dad, good to see you." Ross casually greets his father.
"Hi son. How are you doing." Jack casually asks his son
"I'm good dad. Is mom there. Rachel and I have something to tell you guys."
"She's coming. She just went to the club for some walk. She should be back soon." Jack tells them."How is your new job Rachel?"
"It's good Jack." Rachel tells him
Just then Judy enters the dining room where the senior Geller and the newly betrothed couple were sitting
"Hi kids, good to see you." Judy greets them and hugs them."How are you guys."
"We are fine Judy." Rachel tells them
"We have some news which we want to share with you guys. " Ross excitedly tells them
"Which is?" Jack quizzically looks at them
"Rachel and I are going to have a baby." Ross tells them.
"That's really good. I mean you guys are having a baby and you both are engaged. When is the wedding?" Jack asks them
"We planned it on April 17th dad. By then Rachel would be 4 months along and it would be the better time to get married." Ross tells Jack while Judy and Rachel went away from the men
"How far are you dear?" Judy tenderly asks her
"Around 8 weeks. I'm due somewhere around late August to early September." Rachel tells her.
"Welcome to the family dear. You were like my second daughter after Monica. Enjoy every moment of this phase. Its a beautiful phase of a woman's life." Judy advises her
"Thanks Judy. Yes it truly is." Rachel replies with butterflies in her stomach.

Later the day, they both go to Sandra Green's home. The house was seriously big. Ross and Rachel just are near the entrance. They told the Gellers about the baby and their engagement. They were happy about it. Now, coming to Rachel's side of family, it was a different story. They had to go to different houses with them being divorced and she knocks the door of her mother's home
"Hello dear. Good to see you both." Sandra greeted them as they approached the door.
"Hi Mom. Good to see you." Rachel greeted back as she and Ross were led to the living room.
"So, what's that it was so important to see me?" Sandra asks them
"Actually, its the news for both of us." Rachel tells her.
"Oh goodness. Are you guys engaged?" Sandra questions her while noticing the ring on Rachel's finger.
"Yes mom. But there is another news too." Rachel tells her while Ross squeezes her hand to continue." I...I am pregnant." Rachel blurted.
"That's good." Sandra was ecstatic.
"What mom, are you not angry?" Rachel was taken aback.
"Why would I be? I am going to be a grandma." Sandra replied."By the way, when is the wedding?"
"We are planning it to be on April 17th mom. " Rachel tells her.
"Why don't you guys stay back for some tea. I've got it freshly made." Sandra tells them
"No mom, Ross and I have to meet daddy. He got reservations for today." Rachel politely tells her."We need to tell him about our wedding plans and our baby." Rachel tells her
"Oh. Be careful dear. He might not be happy as I am." Sandra warned them.
"Okay Mrs Green." Ross answered her.
"By the way, when are you due Rachel?" Sandra politely asks her
"Somewhere around last week of August to first week of September." .
"Nice. Let me know whatever happens with my grandchild." Sandra tells them
"Sure Sandra, we will." Ross assures her.
They both exit the house and head to the car which Ross recently bought.
"I hope us both facing him is enough." Ross tells Rachel
"I hope so. I hope he agrees." Rachel silently hoped.

Later in the evening, they both meet Rachel's dad and are ready to tell him about their engagement and pregnancy. They both are nervous as hell and worried about what his reaction might be. They just hoped that he agreed. They spotted him near the table.
"Hi sweet pea. Good to see you." Leonard greets her. "Good to see you too Wet head." He referring to Ross and shaking hands with his potential son in law
"Hi daddy. Good to see you too." Rachel hugs him
"So what's new with you?" He casually asks her.
"Nothing much." Rachel replies nervously.
"What are you guys engaged?" He casually asks her noticing the ring on her finger.
"Yes daddy. I have another news to tell you." Rachel nervously tittered.
Just then, a waiter comes to ask their order. He takes their order and leaves. Dr Green leaves the table to attend a call
"Are you nervous. Your legs are shaking." Ross tells her noticing that she was shaking.
"Yes. I somehow need to tell him about the baby. He seems grumpy today. I suppose its a bad idea." Rachel nervously tells him while biting her fingers.
"No Rach, we need to let him know. Its his grandchild also." Ross tells her firmly. Just on cue, Dr Green finishes his call and joins them
"So, what's it sweet pea." Dr Green asks her
"I... I might be...pregnant." Rachel stutters nervously
"What are you pregnant?" Dr Green exploded
"Please calm down be happy for us. I am happy with him daddy" Rachel calms him down
"This is good. How long are you?" Dr Green asks her
"Around 8 weeks daddy. Ross and I are happy about it." Rachel tells her father nervously.
"I am happy for you both sweetie. So, when did you guys plan the wedding?" Dr Green asks them
"April 17th sir." Ross replies. Just then Rachel exits to the restroom and they both have a talk'
"Look Ross, I just want you to keep Rachel happy and I know you will and the reason why I believe you will is because you are the man that my daughter chooses to be with and I always wanted the best for my daughters." Dr Green bluntly tells him
"Sure sir. I love her and I will keep her happy." Ross assures him
"Good. And when is she due?" He asks Ross.
"Somewhere around end of August to first week of September." Ross tells him. Just then Rachel comes back on the table.
"So daddy, can you book The Plaza?" Rachel asks him
"Sure sweet pea. Let me know whenever you need and please keep me informed about the baby." Dr Green tells her.
"Sure daddy and thanks for being happy about it." Rachel thanks him
"No problem Rachel. I am going to be a poppy." Leonard tells her excitedly with a glint in his eyes.
The rest of the night goes well and more importantly, she had her father's approval and was happy for her and Ross.

They both reach Ross's apartment and relax and talk about the future.
"You are the bravest woman I've ever known Rach." Ross compliments her.
"Really?" Rachel looks at him puzzled
"Yes sweetie. I admire that quality in you the most. That's why back then I just fell for you because you befriended Monica when she was not that popular and you just gave up your old life to face the real world. Now, I'm just as happy that we are going to have a baby and we would make a great team" Ross assures her
"You are really cheesy Ross. I love you." Rachel tells him
"Love you too." He tells her.
They both fall asleep in each other's arms.
