"Where am I?"
Visions of blood-stained evergreen grass fields came to Ren's mind as he watched a battle rage on by the coast. A pair of men battling each other by the shoals, both of them were equals in skill and the match was close.
Ren watched in amazement as the two fought for each other. However, he knew the fight had already been finished as soon as the man with blue hair took out his spear.
It was beautiful, Shining red like blood, countless vines surrounded its shaft. He could sense it. The trait that defines this spear separate from the rest of its kind, its bloodlust.
Memories flooded in his head as he looked at the spear. Its name was Gae Bolg, or to be more accurate it is a Gae Bolg, a spear of mortal pain/death. The spear leaves behind but one regret: that it has only taken away the lives of his loved ones. It killed his one and only close friend and his son that grew up in a distant land, even though it was meant to have killed one woman before them.
"Gae Bolg!" The voice of Setanta reached his ears as he was snapped out from his trance. The air itself froze as causality itself was reversed, in that instant, Ferdiad's heart has been pierced before the lance has been thrust. After the heart was pierced and the lance was thrust, thirty barbs exploded from the spearhead and covered Ferdiad's heart, ensuring its destruction.
Ren watched as Cu Chulainn held Ferdiad's body, his fallen brother-in-arms, Ferdiad said his final farewell towards the hound of Culann. "Gáe Bolg is a glory given to only the most gifted of warriors. In that brilliant hall of learning, you were our pride." And with those words, Ferdiad left the world.
The next time the demonic spear was used was against a warrior that was his equal. The warrior forced Cu Chulainn into a corner and he was forced to use Gae Bolg. Before the young warrior died, he spoke his last words which were: "She didn't teach me that." Seeing the golden thumb-ring on the young warrior's hand and hearing his last words, Cu Chulainn realized that this young warrior was his son, Connla.
Twice was Gae Bolg called upon, and twice has it claimed the life of his loved ones. His brother-in-arms and his son who grew up in a foreign land when it was only meant to kill the woman before them. Despite the numerous tragedies in his life, Cu Chulainn not once regretted his life and kept on fighting as the shield of Ulster.
His death came from three crones who offered him the flesh of a dog. Being put in a situation where he is "Damned if he does and damned if he does not," Due to his Geass, he lost all his feeling on the left side of his body the moment he put the meat on his mouth. Despite that, he was still able to fight, and there in his last battle, he fell alongside his friend and charioteer, Laeg. He refused to die without any dignity and with great effort, he tied himself on a mighty rock using his own guts. For three days he stood there and only on the third day when a crow landed on his shoulder when the Lugaid and his army finally found out that the shield of Ulster was already dead.
Liath Macha, the king of horses and a good friend of the hound, ran back to protect its master, killing 50 men with its teeth and 30 on each hoof. When Lugaid tried to take Cu Chulainn's sword, it fell from the hound's arm and cut Lugaid's handoff, and killed a man. The king of horses, despite being mortally injured, from the magic spear from the sons of Calatin, as well from the exhaustion, of protecting its master, led Conall towards Lugaid for his master to be avenged, before falling.
Throughout it all, Ren watched without taking his eyes off at the scenes before him. All of Cu Chulainn's memories and skills were transferred to him without him knowing. Admiration and a desire welled inside his chest, to make Cu Chulainn, Setanta, proud.
His body was dead due to a decision from the almighty god of Isekai, Truck-kun, to send him off to another world. However, Kichur Zelretch Schweinorg intervened, taking the young man's soul and corpse before reviving it and fusing it with the class card that contains the heroic spirit, Cu Chulainn.
"To think that you out all people would have many interesting versions similar to one of my apprentice's lover and the idiot gallivanting with my adoptive granddaughter. Hound's sin of Wrath, Ren Cruz!" The second said with a chuckle and smirk as he watched red tattoos formed on the right side of the revived young man's body, the tattoo of a hound branded itself on his right upper arm.
"Now, young man! Go towards Teyvat and show me something new! Entertain me young an! Just like the way another version of you, the Dragon's sin of greed did!" Zelretch said with a grin as he pushed a button, normally, he would give Emerald to Ren to help him with his installs, however, since the heroic spirit Cu Chulainn, fused with the boy to create a Demi-heroic spirit.
Ren Cruz weakly opened his eyes and looked around to see himself in a black room,
His clothes changed as a white light enveloped him. A tattered blue cape with a fur-lined hood and shoulder pads connected by some chains over a black-sleeveless shirt. He wore blue pants with a waist cape tied by belts in a cross formation, on his feet, he wore steel-toed and heeled boots.
The last thing he could think of before he finished disappearing in golden dust was his childhood friend, Joanna Fluer, and the promise he made to her.
"I swear... I will definitely see you... once again."
