Hey guys, I'm here with a new chapter. I also wanted to let you guys know that I posted a new story. It's an emison one-shot. I would appreciate if you would check it out.
Chapter 3 – Getting To Know You
„What the hell are you doing? Did you forget that a few hours earlier she pointed a gun at your head? Or that we're in the middle of a robbery and she's a hostage? Are you insane?" Snaps at me Florence as soon as I closed the door behind me.
„Hanna listen-"
„Don't call me that!"
„Sorry. Listen I know what I am doing." I tell her.
„Well it doesn't look like it! You can't trust her or be with her at all!" She raises her voice again.
„We have this connection, I can feel it and it doesn't change anything." I reassure her and I hope that she will drop this but I'm sure that she won't.
„This isn't normal Paris! A few days later we will be out of here. What's your plan? You are going to bring her out with you and you two are going to live a happy life in an island or what?"
She's right, I haven't thought about any of this. I can't bring Alison with me, she would become a criminal too if she would be hiding with me. I can't ruin her life.
„I don't know…it's her choice. I like her and it won't effect the plan I promise, just please, don't tell the others." I beg her as I step a little closer to her.
„You know that I'm just looking out for you, right? I was terrified when she pointed the gun at your head, you're my friend. Just be careful, okay? Not just because of the plan but because I need you." She says and comes over to me and hugs me.
„Thank you. I will be careful, I promise." I say and pull back from the hug.
„Now go back and talk to her. I will say that you are on a break so they won't look for you."
„I appreciate it." I tell her and she nods and then left.
When I go back inside I see Alison sitting on the floor, right where I left her but now she has her clothes on.
„She won't tell anyone, she promised." I tell her as soon as I sat down in front of her.
I could see that she was afraid that this will get out and the others would do something to her but after I said that Hanna will keep her mouth shut she becomes relieved.
„That's good." She says.
„Yeah…" I trail off. I wanted to talk with her about us but I'm afraid. What if she doesn't want to continue this with me? What if this relationship only exits behind the bank's walls?
„Alison, what are we? I mean, I like you but I'm also going to disappear in a few days and then we will never see each other again…or if you think that we are serious then you can just come with us but I know I can't ask you to give up your life for a woman you've just met-"
„Emily, hey, stop." She tells me and motions for me to go and sit next to her.
„I like you, you know that and I really want to try this with you but I'm not sure if I'm ready to give up my freedom for that." She says after I settled down next to her.
„Yeah I get that."
She grabs my hand, interlocks our fingers and I bring her hands up to my mouth and kiss it.
„You know, I don't really know much about you. Except that you are a really hot secretary in the most beautiful city." I say and we both start laughing.
Her laugh is the most beautiful one I have ever heard and I will never get tired of hearing it.
„Okay...uhm where should I start…" She says when we stopped laughing.
„I was born in Rosewood, it's a small town in Pennsylvania, my parents are still living there but I wanted something else so when I finished university I came to Paris. It always had been my favourite place. I remember when I was ten I visited Paris with my family and I decided that when I will be older I will live here. I have a brother but we were never close, I don't even know which country he's in right now. He only calls me twice a year to make sure I'm alright, not that he cares." She says the last part in a very sad tone and I know that the relationship with her brother bothers her even if she doesn't show it.
„I'm sorry." I say to her and squeeze her hand.
„Don't be, that's fine."
„So you are living alone?" I ask trying to change the subject.
„Yes I have been living here for a year now. My friend was working here as a secretary but she didn't like it and started looking for a new job. Back then, that was the best opportunity I could get so I went for it."
„I'm glad you did." I say with a grin and she laughs.
„So I told my story. It's your turn now." She turns her head towards me and smiles.
I turn away from her trying to hide my frown. I shouldn't talk about my personal informations with her. I'm not even allowed to tell my name to my partners. I'm still not sure if I can trust her I mean the police eventually will get my face once the hostages get out but they won't know much personal informations.
„Oh I'm sorry. You don't have to say anything, I get it." She says once she realized what she asked me to do. „But…I want you to know that…I wouldn't tell anyone. Anything you say would stay just between us but I understand if you don't want to-"
„No it's fine." I say and turn back towards her. „Once the hostages get out they will portray my face to the police and they will get informations about me."
„I'm twenty six year old and I was born in Yew York. I dropped out of university when my father died. It destroyed me, I wasn't myself. My mother was even worse and she needed me, she needed her daughter but I let her down."
I pause because I still can't believe that I wasn't there for my mom.
„I started drinking and I lost all my money, that's why I'm here now." I finish and look at her to see a sad expression on her face.
„I'm sorry, I can't imagine how hard it must have been for you." She pulls me closer and I rest my head on her shoulder.
„I'm okay now." I whisper.
I stayed with her for another hour just talking about random things. I told her that I used to swim in high school and she also told me about her years in high school.
She was kind of a mean girl back then and she was ashamed to talk about it first but I found it kind of hot and just laughed a few times. I mean, she was just a kid and from what she told me I know that her parents never really cared about her and I'm sure that it hurt her even if she doesn't show it.
We shared stories from our childhood and had a good time even though I am a criminal and she's just a secretary and now our hostage.
Around 11 p.m. we layed down on her sleeping bag and blankets and fell asleep. I know that I still have a few hours with her until my break is over and they would start to look for me so I went to sleep too but when I woke up I saw that it's already 2 a.m. in the morning so I knew I had to go.
Alison was laying on my chest so I had to be very careful to not to wake her up but I managed to get out of the safe without waking her up.
When I get to the lobby I see Vienna and go over to her. I told her to go rest and I will watch the hostages. She didn't argue, I could see that she was very exhausted and stressed just like the rest of us.
When she came back from her rest around 6 a.m. we handed out some food and after that I went to check up on Alison.
When I entered the safe I found her sitting by the wall. She greets me and I sit down next to her.
„I brought food for us." I say as I hand her a sandwich and I start to eat mine.
We eat in silence and when we are done she speaks up.
„You know, it sucks being here, alone. I can't do anything all day."
„I know, I'm sorry. The doctors said that a few days later you will be fine and then you can go back to the lobby to the others." I tell her.
„No it's fine, I did this to myself anyway." She smiles then continues. „And I like that we have our little spot where we can do whatever we want."
After she said that the I lean forward and kiss her passionately and she kisses back. While we are kissing I get on top of her and lay her down on the floor which is covered in blankets.
She has her hands on my back, tugging on my hoodie, telling me to take it off. After I took my hoodie off I carefully took hers off too. I lean down and start to kiss and suck on her neck while she moans.
„Paris, please." She pleads and guides my hand to her thighs.
„Emily." I say when I pull away from her neck and look at her.
„What?" She asks confused.
„My name is Emily." Before she can answer I smash my lips to hers.
For an hour we are just lost in each other under the blankets. I didn't wanted to leave her but I knew I had to or the others would look for me and if they find out what I have been doing they wouldn't be too happy.
So after a lot of goodbye kisses I finnaly get out of that safe and made my way back to the lobby.
I'm surprised when I find Lyon there, watching the hostages. He's job is to keep an eye on the police, watching there moves and comunicating with them if it's necessarily.
„Is everything okay? Where's Vienna? She's the one who supposed to be here." I ask as soon as I'm by his side.
„We have a little problem…everyone is in the secretary's office, they're waiting for you so Sydney can tell all of you what's wrong."
I nod and without another question I rush to the office.
When I get there I see everyone is sitting either on a chair or on the couch by the wall.
„We have been waiting for you. Where have you been?" Asks Sydney when I sit down on a chair in the corner of the room.
„I was checking up on Alison." I answer.
She nods and then turns her attention back to the group.
„So we got a little problem with the police. They want us to give them some hostages or they will come in. I know that they can't come in but I don't want to risk it so I told them that they can make a list and if we don't need them for our plan I will let them go. Only seven of them is going out." She informs us and I suddenly feel very nervous, not just because it's a step back in our plan but because what if they ask for Alison?
„It's not really a problem actually because now we have a little time. They are dealing with the list and who they want us to give out and they lose focus on us. They will send the list later today and we will give the persons out tomorrow afternoon. I just wanted to inform all of you but now you can go back to work."
Without another word everyone is going out of the room but before I can exit the office Sydney calls after me.
„Yes?" I turn around and face her.
„How's Alison? When she will go back to the others?"
„Uhm she's getting better but she still needs a few more days." I say and she nods. I turn around and leave the room.
Through the day I can't stop thinking about what Sydney told us. I'm pretty sure the police will ask for Alison. The blonde was shot and they want to take care of her. The worst is that we don't really need her here, she doesn't help us with anything so Sydney probably will let her leave.
Me and Alison are really close right now and I'm afraid that once she gets out she will forget about me and move on with her life. Maybe it's for the best, we will eventually leave this place and it's better if I let her go now than later when I will be even more close to her.
I'm also a little bit afraid because what if she will tell everything I told her about me to the police? I just met her two days ago, I can't completely trust her.
Now it's after eleven and I bought her some sandwiches. I knew I shouldn't tell her about the list but I have to know what she thinks about it, about us.
„Ali?"
„Yeah?" She turns her attention to me after she finished eating her sandwich.
„I probably shouldn't tell you this but…the police wants us to let some hostages out and we didn't want them to do something crazy like trying to come inside so we said we would do it. They will send a list this afternoon and-"
„And I'm going to be on it." She finishes when she realised what I wanted to say.
„Well we don't know that for sure but yeah, probably." I say and look at her. I don't know how to ask the question that had been on my mind since Sydney talked to us but I think she knows what I'm thinking about.
„You want to know what I'm going to do once I get out." She states and I just nod. I can't say anything I'm too afraid of what she will say next.
„Honestly, I don't know. I know that I like you. I'm going to miss you so much. I don't wanna leave this place and I know it sound crazy but I feel so good here with you." I know that she still has things to say so I don't interrupt and just listen to her.
„But I also know that once this whole thing is over you are going to move so far away and I will never see you again."
I don't say anything for a minute because I know she's right, we will never see each other again after we get out.
„What if after I get out I will reach out to you? And if you still think we can work then we would start this whole thing over, outside." I tell her and her mouth hangs open and a shocked look appears on her face.
„Emily you can't do that! We have just met two days ago, you can't possibly trust me. And what if the message will arrive to someone else? The police would find you right away. This is a bad idea." She shakes her head and I just realised that it's really a bad idea. I can't tell anyone where I will be, that would be too risky.
„I just don't want to lose you. For the first time in my life I feel alive with you and I know that we deserve more than just a few days with each other."
She pulls me into a hug and we are just stay like that for minutes, just holding each other because we know that we can't say or do anything that would stop us from parting.
„We will figure something out. We still have a few hours. You should go back now, they will look for you. Come back when you know something, okay?" She says when we pull away.
„I will."
I give her a peck on the lips, stand up then exit the safe.
Through the day all I do is watch the hostages with Vienna. I'm very anxious, I can't stop checking the time and looking out the window, waiting for someone who would come in and give us the list.
Vienna noticed my behaviour and asked me a few time if I'm alright. I said that everything is fine even if it's not true.
Sydney's voice is pulling out from my thoughts and when I look up I see her and Florence coming down the stairs.
„They have the list and somebody will come in. Everyone put the mask on!" She orders and I put my black mask on while Sydney chooses a few hostage to stand with us in front of the door.
A few minutes later we open the doors and a man comes in with a folder in his hands. She hands it to a hostage who stands in the front and a few minutes later he's gone.
„He's gone! You can take your masks off! Paris tell everyone to come upstairs to the office which is in the end of the hallway, we will look inside this together. Vienna you're staying here, watching the hostages." Tells us Sydney and disappears with Hanna by her side.
I collect Kingston, Santiago, Boston like I was asked to, I don't look for Lyon because he's probably with Sydney already.
When we all get there I sit down in a couch next to Florence. Sydney is standing in the middle of the room. She opens the folder which has seven papers in it, each paper has a hostage's picture, name and the reason why we should let them go on it.
We already discussed four people, two of them were pregnant, one of them is a young teenager and the other one was an old lady who was in the bank the day we came in for unknown reasons. We don't need their help so we agreed that they can go. The next one was a man who helps us dig the tunnel but we won't use that tunnel, it's just a distraction so he can go. It's better this way because when he goes out he will tell about the tunnel to the police and they will concentrate on that tunnel and not on the one we will actually use.
„Okay, the next one is…Adan Cooper, he's diabetic. We don't need him, do we?" She looks up at everyone shakes their head.
There's only one more person and I'm literally shaking right now. Florence looks at me and she shows me a weak smile and I return it. I have a feeling that she know why I'm so nervous.
„And the last one is…Alison DiLaurentis, injured."
When I look up everyone is already looking at me and I just sit there paralyzed. I knew that this can happen, that there is a chance that her name will be on the list but now that Sydney actually read it out I can't believe it. I can't believe that mine and Alison's story ends here, that she's going out and I can't do anything to stop it.
