Luna Lovegood hummed to tune she remembered her mother would sing to. She cut up the pigeons she found in the area for her Tigers. Pilling the raw meat in a small bucket, Luna head outside to the little alcove where her babies lay sheltered. She smiled patiently at them as they all jumped to their paws, eyeing the bucket in her hand with trepidation. Luna started removing the meat from her onto the small dent in the ground, which was unanimously decided as their place to eat.

Luna walked back to her home with a slight spring to her step, pulling the little curtain of seashells away from the entrance of her home-away-from-home. She went to the kitchen and started a fire with a whisper of "Incendio" and put a small pan on top of the heat. Some soup would be nice.

It was an hour later when a Hawk flew into the small hut with a piece of parchment wrapped around its leg. Luna pet the great bird and fed him some of the fish she had saved, all the while making the bird preen under the attention and affection; "You're such a smart bird, aren't you Kenney?" she'd say.
Carefully extracting the letter in his claws, Luna unfolded the letter addressed to her and read it aloud:

"Dear Luna," It had read,

"-It's been far too long since I last saw you. Why don't you visit my cafe sometime? I've stocked myself on Jamba Juice. It's been awfully lonely here at the cafe without you and everything's too bright. Everyone's going topsy-turvy in New York! There have been really odd discoveries and Stark's made himself a metal suit and has been going around, calling himself Iron-Man! I'd bet Sirius' motorbike that the thing's barely got any Iron in it.
There's been say that some war hero called "Steve Rogers" from the '40s made his way back to the living. I've seen him around the neighbourhood, he looks like a bloody homunculus. Comes over to the bar every other night, tries to get drunk from time to time; he brings one of those secret agents with him -funny man, always looking rather down. Can't say I blame him though, don't know what I'd do if I skipped 70 years of my life.
I hope Colonel's not causing too much trouble, the old bird's a menace. Peter wants me to tell you he says 'hi', by the way. He's got some sort of crush on you lulu. I've got to get going, the orders don't seem to stop.

Come back soon,
Harry"

She smiled guiltily at the letter, feeling bad since there was no way she could head back to him before the end of November. Folding the letter, she placed it inside her trunk with a short sigh. There was a distant scream. Her eyes went wide as she surged to her feet, picking up her wand and holding it like a lifeline, before moving towards the direction of the noise after making sure that all of her babies were alright.

.

The man she'd found was thin, gaunt even, with slight stubble and short brown hair that curled around his ears. He was wearing crumpled, worn-out clothes that looked about a size too big and a small wristwatch that had a slight crack in the middle.

He seemed to have been bitten by a snake if the two punctured holes in the back of his ankle were any indication. Gently, she lifted the ankle and used her wand to extract the venom in his blood, letting it fall in a conjured tube. "Boomslang," she whispered, she was used to identifying the different types of venom -Professor Snape would give pop-quizzes about them every month or so.

Lifting him in the air with a quiet "Wingardium Leviosa" she led him back to the hut. His wounds would need a bit of cleaning to stop an infection, but the venom needed a much more permanent fix, as most of it had already coursed through the body. An antivenom potion, maybe? She already had the venom of the snake that bit the man in her hands.

.

He seemed very sad when he woke up. Dull, pale and subdued. Like Hermione's Periwinkle robes at the ball -someone had shown her a picture- but the colour had suited her; unlike him.

He seemed to worry of his colours, she noticed with an assessing gaze, seemed to think himself short. Like Harry would at Hogwarts.
