Lucy and Natsu, along with Happy were standing outside the guild doors. "What if they don't like me," started Lucy, mumbling and worrying.

"They'll like you Luce. It's Fairy Tail," said Natsu. "Aye," answered Happy. Natsu raised his foot and kicked the door.

"We're back," shouted Natsu, enter the guild hall with Happy flying besides him and Lucy behind him. The entire guild looked at him and started to ask him questions. They asked if he found his father, why he destroyed the harbour and many other questions. Natsu ignored the questions and punched the person who told him the news of his adoptive father. After that, the rest was history. The entire guild got in to a brawl.

So crazy and loud thought Lucy. She was happy to be here, but she never knew this was how it was. She walked to the bar, where she met Mirajane, a model for sorcerer's weekly and one of the strongest female mage in Fairy Tail. "Mirajane!" Lucy said in an excited voice.

"Well, hello there. Are you new here?" Mirajane asked Lucy.

"Oh, yes. My name's Lucy," she replied.

"Welcome to the guild, and just Mira is okay," Mira said.

Lucy was so excited, but was frightened when a loud booming voice came from the entrance of the guild. The entire guild had frozen when they heard the voice, making Lucy giggle.

"You brats, you've gone and done it again," said the figure.

It was a giant, that was until it shrunk to a short man, who had a grin on his face and a bunch of papers in his hand. "Are you knew here?" he asked.

"Um, yes," Lucy said.

"I'm Makarov Dreyer, the guild's master, nice to meet you. Welcome to Fairy Tail," he said. He then proceeded to jump up to the second floor railing, where he then began talking.

"You brats have gone and done it again. Just look at all these letters the magic council sent me. All of you have done nothing but make the council angry with me, but the council can eat crap for all I care," the master of the guild said, raising his hand fulled with paper.

"Ours is a power goes beyond the bounds of reason. Magic isn't some miracle. Of you spend time worrying about what those of authority think of you, your magic will never advance," he said, whil lighting the papers on fire and threw it at Natsu, who began to eat it.

"So don't let those idiots intimidate you. Follow the path in what you truly believe in. That is what it means to be a Fairy Tail wizard!!" exclaimed Makarov, with a smile on his face, looking at his guild, which he considers his family. They cheered and began to drink.

Lucy had just been given her Fair Tail mark. It was pink and was on her right hand. She was sitting at the bar drinking a strawberry milkshake, while reading a book. The guild was a little surprised at Natsu and Happy for bringing someone to the guild. After all it took some time before he got used to the guild when he was younger.

Sure Natsu was friendly, but he didn't warm up to people like he did to Happy, even though Happy was a cat, who he had found mistakenly in the forest. No one really knew what the pink haired dragon slayer thinked or what was going on in his head. Well maybe that's not true, the guild did know that he thinked about his adoptive father, food and fighting, but never girls.

Lucy did not notice that some of the guild members were looking at her, she was too engrossed in her book. It was not until Mira had asked if she had a place to stay that her focus on her book was snapped. She looked at Mira with an expression of utter horror and rushed out of the guild.

"Ara Ara," Mira sighed with amusement in her eyes, while wiping the counter of the bar.

Lucy was wondering the streets of Magnolia looking for an apartment. She was giving up, when Happy and Natsu approached her. "Hey, Luce," shouted Natsu with a grin on his face and Happy flying beside him.

"Oh, hey Natsu, Happy," she said, looking at them.

"You're looking for a place to stay right?" the dragon slayer asked.

"Yes?" she asked sounding like a question and statement. Lucy had a puzzled look on her face, while looking at her two guild mates.

"Well you could stay with Happy and I," Natsu suggested. Lucy was shocked and looked at him in surprise.

"Aye," said Happy, looking at Lucy waiting to hear her answer.

"Are you guys sure, I mean you just met me and well," before she could finish her sentence Natsu had cut her off.

"Of course we're sure. Come on."

Natsu grinned and grabbed Lucy's wrist dragging her to his and Happy's house in the forest. Natsu really didn't know what came over him when he offered her a place to stay, but was happy that she had decided to live with him and the flying cat.

Three weeks later, Lucy had finally settled in living with both Natsu and Happy. The three had cleaned, tidied and Natsu had added more space to his house by extending it. It now had three bedrooms, a kitchen, two bathroom, a living area and a library. Lucy had decorated the house and had furnished all the rooms. Natsu had paid for everything that she had bought.

At first she was skeptical and had tried to refuse him, but both him and Happy had persuaded her to let Natsu pay for everything she wanted to buy.

Lucy didn't know why, but she always felt safe with Natsu around. At first she had wondered why she had trust him and his blue haired cat. She felt as if she knew him, but didn't know from where. Lucy knew that if she told him he would think that she was weirder than what he thought she was, after all Natsu had told her many times how much of a weirdo she was over the past three weeks she knew him.

What Lucy didn't know was that Natsu thought the same of Lucy. He was always calmed by her scent and wanted to always be around her. His instincts had told him to protect her and see that whatever she wanted she got. He always went with his instincts.

She didn't know that he had over heard Mira asking her if she had a place to stay or that he had followed her around while she looked for an apartment.
