Perry got out of the hover-car and made his way into Doofenshmirtz lair, he cautiously maneuvered hoping to avoid getting trapped in a way that might hurt his arm. He didn't see anything and almost thought that doofenshmirtz had not set up a trap. He had almost reached the center of the room when a net came down from the ceiling trapping him. He stifled a gasp of pain as he was forced to the floor. Doofinshmirtz came in, he looked annoyed "Well it's about time Perry the platypus, I was beginning to think you weren't coming!"
Perry chatterd his apologies and Doofenshmirtz continued "anyways, so the other day…" As Doofenshmirtz continued his rambling Perry started to look for a way to escape, normally Perry would have been paying more attention to Doofinshmirtz but he was struggling to get out of the trap and he didn't want to seem like he was having a hard time.
Finally after what felt like ages (but was probably only a few minutes) Perry had untied enough of the net that he could slip out, once he was out he turned his attention back to Doofenshmirtz "behold Perry the platypus the melt-inator!"
Perry, after carefully calculating a good angle to attack from, launched himself at Doofenshmirtz and tackled him, forcing him to the ground. Perry went to punch him with his good arm but Doofinshmirtz moved out of the way at the last second and grabbed Perrys arms pinning him against the wall. Perry gritted his teeth and squeezed his eyes shut, stopping himself from crying out as a wave of pain washed over him, instead he pushed Doofenshmirtz off him using his hind paws and dropped to the ground .
Perry was out of breath, he did his best to hide it but he was too exhausted to make much of an effort. He got back on his feet and got back into a fighting stance, growling in annoyance. Perry paused, finding the placement of the self destruct button. Once he found it he ran at Doofenshmirtz slipping out of the way at the last second to avoid being tackled and pressed the self destruct button before jumping back into his hover car and flying away. "Curse you perry the platypus!" Doofenshmirtz yelled after him.
As soon as Perry was out of sight from D.E.I. he put the hovercar into ottopilot and collapsed back into the seat gasping for breath he held his arm close to him and did his best to ignore the sharp waves of pain. He stayed like this for a little while just trying to catch his breath. Once his breathing finally returned to normal he looked up and surveyed his surroundings, he was nearly back at headquarters. The hover car parked itself in his lair and Perry got out, welcoming the cool interior of his lair after being outside all day. He got out of the hover car, using his left arm to push himself to his feet, wincing as the pain from his right arm resurfaced.
Perry hesitated as he went to go over to the tree elevator, if he was quick he could go up to the medical bay and get something for his arm from one of the doctors there….. He shook his head, forcing the idea out to his mind, monogram might be there and he didn't want him to find out, and besides he thought I'm fine, I'm an agent for god's sake I can handle a little pain!
After finishing his internal debate Perry pushed the elevator button and quickly stepped in. When the elevator arrived at the surface he got out of the elevator and immediately took off his fedora and got down on all fours. This sent waves of pain through his arm, he gritted his teeth forcing himself to ignore the pain and go out to greet his owners. Phineas and Ferb didn't notice him at first, they seemed worried "I don't know Ferb, it's not like Perry to get home this late and he didn't show up for breakfast this morning." when Perry heard Phineas say this he hurried over chattering to get their attention. "Oh there you are Perry! I'm so glad your home boy, we were starting to worry." said Phineas.
Phinias and Ferb both gave him a hug before heading inside for dinner, Perry followed, trying not to limp, and waited to be fed "there you go Perry'' said Phineas filling his food bowl and Perry chattered gratefully before he started eating. He wasn't really hungry but he forced himself to eat anyway, he finished most of his food only leaving a little in the bottom of the food bowl.
After he ate he headed straight up to bed Phineas and Ferb were still eating so once Perry got to the stairs he was able to walk on two legs without being noticed. He made his way into the bedroom and collapsed on Ferbs bed. Perry lay face down on the bed, he was exhausted. He rolled over and lay on his back staring up at the ceiling, Perry was lost in thought so he didn't hear Phineas and Ferb coming up the stairs Phineas was talking with Ferb but stopped when he saw Perry. Lucky for him Perry had closed his eyes so his owners thought he was asleep.
"Aww how cute" said Phineas. Perry despite being awake kept his eyes closed and continued to pretend to sleep. He waited until his owners had gotten ready for bed and gone to sleep before opening his eyes and sitting up. He sighed, he had quite a bit of thinking to do.
