Chapter three
Asking the big questions
The night was calm. The nursery dark, lit only by streetlights outside the window. A gentle hum was heard as Piper rocked her daughter in her arms. The baby's eyelids fluttering as she began to fall asleep. Her mother looking down at her with love in her eyes and the warmest smile on her face. She felt safe and she felt loved. Her eyes finally closed and the tiniest breath was heard. The humming stopped as Piper carefully placed her in her crib. She stroked her little cheek and covered her up with a soft pink and white pokeadoted blanket she had just recently bought her, now that she was old enough to use one while in her crib.
Though it was peaceful and quiet in Melinda's nursery, down the hall it was chaotic in the room her older brothers shared. Chris was throwing his usual bedtime tantrum while in just his underwater. Wyatt had gotten up too early that morning and refused a nap, so he was extra tired and very grouchy. It was unusual for Wyatt to throw a tantrum but tonight he was. He had just gotten out of the bath so all he was wearing was his towel. The towel slipped off which annoyed the five-year-old. He grabbed it and chucked it at his brother. Chris screamed at him in response and stomped his feet. Leo sat on the floor in the middle of the room completely defeated. He held Chris's pajamas on his lap. Wyatt's clothes were scattered on the floor on account that Wyatt had thrown them. Piper walked through the door looking unimpressed.
"Shut up. You're going to wake your sister," she scolded them. Wyatt and Chris immediately silenced themselves and looked at their mother. She walked more into the room. "Wyatt put on your pajamas now. Chris, let your father dress you." Scared of his mother, Wyatt retrieved his underwear from the floor. Chris didn't budge until his mother came closer to him and give him "the look." He approached his father and held up his arms, keeping his eyes locked with his mother's. Piper stayed until both of her boys were completely dressed in their jammies. "Okay. Good night boys, I love you," she said to them in a naturing voice. She blew them a kiss goodnight before leaving the room.
Herny and Paige paced around the nursery. Tamora in Paige's arms and Kat in Henry's. They were attempting to have the twins fall asleep before putting them in their cribs to avoid having to hear them scream as they disagreed that it was bedtime. Their attempt was not working as both of their daughters were still wide awake. Paige looked at her husband for suggestions but he merely shrugged in response. An idea popped into Paige's head. She walked over to Henry and started singing a lullaby. Paige had a beautiful voice but had never thought to sing her children to sleep. It proved effective as halfway through the song the twins started falling asleep and were asleep by the end. Henry placed Kat down in her crib while Paige placed down Tamora in hers. The cribs were side by side against the right-hand wall. "Looks like we found a solution," Henry whispered. "Yes, it appears so."
Coop stood in the doorway of the nursery at his apartment, which in size was bigger than Paige's apartment. Phoebe was seated on the rocking chair with baby Prue in her arms. She was looking at her with a loving gaze, stroking her little cheek with her thumb. This right here was his favorite sight to see. His naturally caring wife with their beautiful baby daughter. Since P.J. had gotten her power of beaming the previous month, she had been more of a challenge. She did not like it when either of her parents left the house and would beam them right back in. Now, if either of her parents had to leave, they had to sneak out. Unlike her cousins, Prue did not attend the daycare at magic school. Phoebe was still on maternity leave and didn't feel comfortable leaving her child in the care of someone else when she did not have to. So, until she'd be back at work, baby Prue was staying home with her. She was even thinking about working from home. Elise wouldn't mind, she had let Phoebe work from home on multiple occasions in the past.
The next morning was cold and rainy but even the crappy weather and grey skies couldn't ruin the day. It was Melinda's first birthday and a small party had been planned. The party was to take place at the manor and only magical guests or mortal guests who knew about magic had been invited. This only made sense since Melinda didn't even know any non-magical children her own age and didn't have full control over her magic yet. She still adored orbing out when she pleased and was usually levitating in the air. For the party, Phoebe and Paige were going to dress up as princesses and Piper had invited some fairies. At her daycare, Melinda and her younger cousins were the only babies there, the rest of the children were toddlers, Chris's friends. Piper had invited a few of them with Chris telling her which kids to invite. He was very excited about his baby sisters' birthday. Piper had even summoned Grams, Patty, and Prue from the spirit realm so they could attend the party. Leo was in charge of the videocamera.
Prue had taken it upon herself to get Melinda all dressed up in a fancy red dress. Leo took care of getting Chris dressed whereas Wyatt didn't require any help. (Chris was starting to learn how to dress himself. He could put on his own socks and underpants. He could pull up his pants but if they had buttons or strings he required help. He wasn't able to put on shirts by himself yet though.) Patty was helping Grams hang up some more streamers.
"You look beautiful, just like your mommy," Prue whispered to her niece.
"She looks a little like you I find," Piper said as she entered the room.
"Really? Hmm. I don't see it. She's gotten bigger since I last saw her, all the kids have. Crazy how much they can change in just two months."
"I know. Wyatt's already five, Melinda's now a year old. Chris is going to be starting kindergarten in September.
"Really? He's only turning four in October."
"Doesn't matter. Westcott will take three-year-olds if they'll be turning four before January."
"That's not how it worked when we were in school. I had to start school a year after most kids born my year. Phoebe too had the same problem."
"I don't remember. Probably because I didn't have that problem seeing as I was born in August."
"When was Paige born?" Prue asked.
"The second of August, 1977."
Prue took the baby girl into her arms and carried her down to the living room with Piper following along. Leo and the boys were already in the living room. Patty was chasing them around which they found hilarious. Leo and Grams were both seated on the couch purposely not speaking to each other. They weren't on bad terms, they just weren't exactly fond of each other. Prue Piper and Melinda arrived in the living room. "Auntie Prue!" Wyatt stated. Prue handed the baby over to Piper and then got down on her knees as Wyatt and Chris came over to her for a hug. "Hey I heard you had your birthday Wyatt, how old are you now?" Prue asked him. Wyatt showed her his hand and said "I'm a whole hand." This made Prue laugh and after another hug, the boys went back to playing with Patty. Piper smiled at her son and placed her daughter on the floor. Melinda crawled over to Tamora and Kat who had just arrived with their parents. Phoebe and Coop beamed in, Phoebe holding her daughter in her arms. Patty rushed over and took her youngest granddaughter into her own arms. Prue approached them and smiled down at the baby named after her.
Paige was dressed as Cinderella, and Phoebe was dressed as Belle. Piper scooped up her daughter and brought her over to her aunts."Look, Melinda. Look who came to your party," Piper said. Melinda smiled as Phoebe took her in her arms. "Happy birthday princess," Phoebe told her as she gave her a hug then gave her to Paige. The boys finally noticed their arrival and ran up to them.
"Hi Auntie Phoebe," Wyatt said
"Wyatt, that's not auntie phoebe, that's a princess," Chris said
"No it's Auntie Phoebe and Auntie Paige in costumes," Wyatt corrected his brother
"Is not," Chris argued
"Is too," Wyatt argued back.
"Boys you don't need to argue, Chris honey it is antie Phoebe and Auntie Paige in costumes," Piper told them
"Is not!"
Chris was getting frustrated now but was distracted when the doorbell rang. "I'll get it," he shouted out as he headed for the door. "Ask who it is first," Leo called after him. Chris ran to the front door and shouted as loud as he could, "WHO IS IT!" "IT'S GRANDPA!" Victor shouted back. Chris laughed and opened the door. Victor lifted him up into his arms and the two shared a hug. "Hi Billie," Chris said, seeing her over his grandpa's shoulder. Victor turned around and stepped aside to let her in. Billie scruffed Chris's hair as she passed him. Melinda crawled up to her. She scooped her up and gave her a hug. "You can't be one already! You were just born yesterday," she said. She kissed the top of her head and let her back down. The rest of the guests began to arrive shortly after.
"Hello boys and girls, I am Princess Cinderella and this is Princess Belle, and we are going to have a dance party," Paige told the kids
"Ok, I need all the princes to find a princess to dance with. When the music is on dance, but when the music stops, stop dancing and don't move or you're out, ok princes take your princess's hands and start dancing," Phoebe explained.
Paige turned on the birthday music on a CD player and watched the kids dance, while some of the babies watched and some continued playing. Wyatt danced with his friend Emily and Chris danced with Emily's twin sister Olivia. Phoebe stopped the music and the kids froze, a few moved so they were eliminated. Paige turned the music back on and Phoebe waited a minute and then stopped the music again, this time Chris moved his hand to scratch which got him and Olivia eliminated. Four turns after, Wyatt and Emily got eliminated.
"And we have a winner, what are your names?" Paige asked the remaining children
"My name is Alex," the little boy replied
"And my name is Lizzy," the little girl said.
"Well Prince Alex, you get to have this crown, and Princess Lizzy you get this tiara," Phoebe told them as Paige placed the crown on Alex's head and placed the tiara on Lizzy's head.
"Ok it's time for the second game hot potato, everyone has to sit in a cercal" Phoebe said and joined the circle.
"Ok so what you have to do is pass the potato to the prince or princess beside you while we sing the song, when we finishing the song the prince or princess whose holding the potato is out" Phoebe explained.
Prue and Patty and a couple of parents joined in two of which were Piper and Leo. Phoebe passed the potato to Wyatt as they started singing the song, Wyatt passed it to Lizzy who passed to Olivia, who passed it to Emily who passed it to Leo, who passed to Paige who quickly passed it to Piper as they finished the song.
"Sorry princess Piper, you're out," Paige said
"Yeah, thanks sis," Piper said as she left the circle and gave the potato to the kid beside her.
That kid passed it to Patty who passed it to Alex who passed it to Chris who passed it Prue who Passed to a little girl with red hair, who passed it to a boy with brown hair, who passed it to his mom, who passed it to another mom, who passed it to her daughter, who threw it to a little girl with blonde hair as they finished the song. The little girl gave the potato to her dad and went to play with her baby brother. Her dad passed it to his son who passed it to Phoebe, who passed it to Wyatt, who passed it to Oliva, who passed it to Emily who threw it to Leo who passed it to Paige as the song ended.
"Sorry princess Cinderella you're out," Phoebe told her.
Paige gave the potato to the next kids and joined Piper on the couch.
"Ha-ha" Piper teased
Paige playfully slapped her hand and they watched as Prue got eliminated and joined them on the couch. After a few turns, Patty, Chris, Phoebe, and Leo had joined them, the only one of their family still in was Wyatt. However, after two more turns, Wyatt joined Chris and Melinda who were playing near their parents. When only one child was left, Phoebe and Paige went to her.
"We have a winner, what is your name?" Paige asked the little girl with red hair
"My name is Kia," the girl answered
"Well Princess Kia, your prize is this magic wand," Phoebe told the girl as she handed her the wand
"Thank you, princess Belle," the girl said then ran up to her parents.
"OK now we have to do something very important, we have princess and princes, but we need a queen," Paige told the children and she and Phoebe sat down
"And today is the queen's birthday, so where's the birthday girl?" Phoebe asked
Melinda orbed herself on Phoebe's lap and the kids clapped.
"Here she is, Princess Melinda, we need to make her a queen, so I need all the princes and princess to clap their hands," Paige said.
As the kids clapped their hands Paige put a tiara headband that doesn't fall out easily on Melinda. Afterward, the children all clapped.
"OK we have our queen, can I have the queen's brothers come up here please," Paige asked.
Wyatt and Chris got up and stood beside Melinda. Phoebe put Melinda on her feet and held her like that.
"Ok let's clap for Prince Wyatt," Phoebe said
"And clap for Prince Chris," Paige said
"And now give a big clap for Queen Melinda" Paige and Phoebe said together.
The children all clapped and Phoebe could sense nothing but happiness in the room. Leo then announced the royal supper was ready and Paige had to orb in extra tables and chairs. Shortly after supper Phoebe and Paige came into the kitchen singing while holding the cake that had a lit candle in the shape of a 1.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Melinda, happy birthday to you."
The sister placed the cake on the table in front of Melinda and had to help her blow out the candle. They then served the cake and Melinda found more joy in mushing the cake all over her face instead of eating it. Afterward, Melinda opened all her presents and had the biggest smile on her face as she opened them.
A few days had passed. School had just been let out for the weekend. Paige straightened her shirt before walking up the steps and knocking on the front door. It was a moment before the door opened and a middle-aged woman greeted her with a polite smile. "Hello, may I help you?" The woman asked. "Are you Winter Peters?" The woman nodded, she looked around nervously as she didn't know why someone would be looking for her. "My name is Paige Matthews. I'm a social worker for the department of child services. I'd like to speak to you about your daughter Kristina." Winter looked startled. "May I ask what this is about?" She asked. She had no clue as to why social services were interested in her daughter. Paige had thought up two reasons she could lead with. "I understand that Kristina is pregnant. We are concerned the father of the baby is dangerous." Winter's eyes widened. She stepped aside to let Paige in.
"Has Kristina arrived home from school?" Paige asked.
"Oh heavens no. She'll be meeting up with her friends. I won't see her until supper."
"That is fine. Is your husband at home?"
"No, he's still at work. He'll be home within the hour."
Winter led Paige into the living room and offered her a seat on the sofa. Paige accepted and Winter sat next to her but no close enough to invade her space. "I'm not sure I'll be of any help, Mrs. Matthews. Kristina refused to reveal the name of her child's father." Paige nodded. She reached into her purse and pulled out a notepad and a pencil. She wrote down what Winter had just said. "How far along is your daughter?" Paige asked. "Just about six months." Paige wrote this down. "She's having a son. She said the father will name him. Besides that, she hasn't told me or my husband anything about the pregnancy." Paige scribbled this information down. "Does she plan of keeping the baby?" Winter shrugged. "She didn't say. I asked once and she told me not to worry and that it'll all be fine." Paige nodded again in response as she wrote this down. "You have no idea on the father's identity? Never noticed any guys she may have been spending time with?" Winter shook her head. "The only friends she's ever brought around were girls." Paige wrote this down in her notepad. "If you don't know who the father is how do you know he's dangerous?" Winter asked suspiciously. Paige quickly thought up a reply. "Mrs. Peters, your daughter has been spending time with the wrong crowd. We have a good source. Don't feel bad you didn't know. Teenagers are very secretive and sneaky. You should have seen me at that age." Winter adjusted herself. "I think that's enough for today. I'd like to speak with my husband and daughter." Paige nodded and stood up. "I understand." She reached into her purse, pulled out her wallet, and retrieved the little card with her name and office number. She handed it to her and placed the wallet back into her purse.
Piper was preparing dinner while Leo was in the living room looking after their children. Melinda was levitating in the air above her playpen as usual. Wyatt and Chris got into an argument over if their aunts were princesses. Chris still refused to believe his aunts Phoebe and Paige were the princesses that had attended Melinda's birthday party. Wyatt knew the truth. Leo looked over at them. "Chris, knock it off. Wyatt is right." Chris got up and stomped his foot. "You always take his side! You don't like me and I hate you!" He orbed up to his bedroom. A flashback hit Leo's eyes. Grown Chris from the future explaining why he disliked him. "You were always there for Wyatt but you were never there for me!"
Chris was on his bed sulking when Leo came in. "I'm sorry," he said. Chris looked up at him. "I think you were right. Those were real princesses." Chris looked away. He didn't believe his dad really thought so. Leo came over and sat down next to him. He pulled his son onto his lap. "I love you." Chris looked up at him and smiled. "I love you too, daddy." The two then shared a hug. One of Leo's greatest fears of raising his children was that he'd let one of them down. Future Chris's words still rung in his head and he had thought he was doing well in giving Chris attention and affection. However, he'd never thought future Chris's issues with him was also about him always taking Wyatt's side over his.
It nearing seven and Paige was still sitting in her office at work. She only had a few sheets of paperwork left to fill out for the day and then she could return home for the night. Her attention was caught by a figure walking into her office. She looked up. Though she had never personally met the young pregnant girl that now stood in her office she knew exactly who she was. Kristina read the name written clearly on the traditional office name plaque that stood at the front of the desk. "You're Paige Matthews?" Paige nodded and the teenager walked straight to the desk until there was no space left to walk in that direction. "I'm warning you, stay out of my business. This baby is not your concern nor am I." Without waiting for Paige to reply, Kirstina walked out of the office. Paige stood up, walked over to the door, and closed it. She turned the lock and then called out for Leo. He orbed in. "Kristina just paid me a visit. Warned me to stay out of her business," Paige shared. "She threatened you?" Paige shook her head. "I don't think so. I don't know why but I got the impression that it was a warning like she was trying to protect me." Leo looked puzzled as he thought. "We assumed Kristina was simply part of the wrong crowd that happened to include a supernatural. Maybe she found herself in trouble and didn't know how to get out." Paige pondered over this. "Go talk to the Elders. I just have this feeling that the baby's father is mortal, not supernatural," Paige expressed. Leo nodded and orbed out.
Since it wasn't a school night and Wyatt wasn't yet sleepy, Piper had allowed him to stay up past his bedtime which was normally at seven. It was now almost eight. Piper was seated in the living room cuddling Melinda who was starting to get sleepy while Wyatt was seated next to them looking at a picture book. (He was able to read some words now.) Wyatt let the book fall open onto his lap and looked at his mother. "Mommy? Why can't mortals know about magic." He had never been told the exact reason, not at home nor at magic school. He had only been taught not to without being told the reason why. "Well honey, most people are scared by what they don't understand. Magic goes against nature, against science. For a mortal, it is very hard to believe something like that can be real. They're also scared because stories and movies have told them that magic is evil, that it can hurt them." She took a breath as Wyatt processed this. "Some magic is bad but some magic is good," he said. Piper nodded to him. "Yes, but some people think all magic is evil and that people who do magic are evil. Some mortals like grandpa, Darryl, Uncle Henry, Elise, can accept magic." Melinda fell asleep. "When people are scared by something, sometimes they try to hurt it or try to get other people to hate it too." Wyatt processed this too. "So that's why we can't tell? It's not safe for us?" Piper nodded in response. "How do I know who I can tell?" Wyatt then asked. "You can never know for sure. You take a chance and most of the time it will not go well. That is why we have the cleaners. They can erase memories of magic." Wyatt frowned at his mother's answer and curled himself up to her. Piper ran her fingers through his blonde hair.
Early on Saturday morning. Tamora and Kat in their high chairs having breakfast. Henry getting himself ready for work. Paige at the table in the kitchen enjoying toast and a glass of freshly bought milk. Leo orbed in and Paige stood up, swallowing the food in her mouth. They walked into the living room away from the ten-month-old babies. "So, what did they say?" Paige asked curiously. "You were right. It was confirmed Kristina is to be a future white-lighter if she dies a natural death, she will do something very good in her life to win her that honor. The baby though, that remains to be seen." Paige nodded but she wanted the answer to her question. "What about the father?" The sound of baby giggles came from the kitchen. "Mortal but the identity is not known. If Kristina gives him this baby, she will lose her destiny as a future white-lighter. They didn't explain further." Paige processed this as she looked over at her daughters. "The dark lighter, Rennek, he's still a threat. If he kills Kristina, she won't become a white-lighter because she hasn't yet accomplished the task that will earn her the title of white-lighter," Leo added.
It was now Monday morning and Wyatt was at school seated at the orange table. He was working on a drawing. He placed the blue crayon back in the white basket that sat in the middle of the table. "Do you guys think magic is evil?" He asked the other children at the table. "Magic is cool," Austin replied. "Magic is evil. Like in the wizard of oz," Jo-anne stated. "There's also a good witch in that movie," Dakota pointed out. She looked at Wyatt. "I think some magic is bad but some magic is good." "I think so too," Carter agreed. "I want to have magic powers," Kennedi shared. "Would you be a good witch or a bad witch?" Dakota asked her. "I would be a good witch." "What about you?" Austin asked looking at Wyatt. "I think magic can be good and bad. I would be a good witch but I don't have any powers." Jo-anne laughed. "Of course you don't. Magic isn't real. it's only in stories," She said. Knowing he couldn't say magic was real because it was against the rules, Wyatt simply agreed with her. "I know that," he said.
The bell rang meaning it was time for recess. "Okay, class. Line up at the outside door," Mrs. Wellington instructed. Wyatt got up from his chair and followed his classmates to the door leading to the outside play area. He stood between Dakota and Kennedi. Mrs. Wellington opened the door and the children escaped, scattering about. Wyatt went over to Darryl Junior was in the grade above him. Since they weren't in the same class they only got to play together during recess. Normally they played with other kids too but today they were playing with only each other.
"How did you accept magic?" Wyatt asked.
"I thought you weren't supposed to talk about that," Darryl recalled.
"I'm not so don't tell."
"My daddy told me your magic is good and not to be scared," Darryl answered the question.
"Okay, but how did your daddy know our magic is good?"
"Because he knows your mommy and aunties use their magic to do good things. To help people."
"Are you scared of the bad magic?"
"Yes, I am."
It was time for the evening meal. It was chicken with gravy (though no gravy for Melinda) and mashed potatoes. Veggies included peas, corn, and cooked carrots. Glasses of milk to drink. Leo, Piper, Wyatt, Chris, and Melinda sat around the table enjoying the meal. Melinda seated in her high chair which stood at the table in between her parents. "So if mortals see witches use magic to do good things then they won't be scared. That's what Darryl Junior said," Wyatt revealed. His parents both gave him their attention. "I asked the kids at my table if they thought magic was evil but don't worry, I didn't tell them magic is real." Piper swallowed her mashed potatoes and Wyatt took a sip of milk from his plastic red cup. Chris shoved too much food into his mouth and almost choked. Melinda put a handful of peas into her mouth and spit them right out. "What did they say?" Piper asked. "Jo-anne said magic is evil. Austin and Carter think magic is cool. Dakota knows magic is good and bad. Kennedi wants magic powers." Chris took a sip of milk from his plastic green cup. "Kids are different than adults," Leo said. "Kids believe anything is possible, that magic is real or could be real. Kids have an easier time accepting things like that." Melinda threw the rest of her peas onto the floor. "Why are they different?" Wyatt asked. "Because kids see the world as a perfect place where nothing bad happens. They believe everyone is kind and good. Adults know the truth." Wyatt chewed a piece of chicken and swallowed. Chris devoured the rest of his mashed potatoes. Piper grabbed Melinda's hand before she could chuck her chicken on the floor. "But Darryl Junior said he is scared of bad magic and he's a kid." Melinda started crying because her mom wouldn't let her throw her food. Piper stood up from her chair, lifted Melinda out of her high chair and her put her down on the floor. The baby collected her peas from the floor and stuck them into her mouth only to remember she hated peas and spit them back out. "Darryl Junior has seen bad magic. He knows the world isn't perfect." Satisfied with the data he had collected on the subject, Wyatt dropped it and resumed eating at a faster paste. "I'm done," Chris announced. "Okay, you're dismissed. Go wash your hands," Piper instructed. Chris nodded and climbed off his chair.
Piper was mixing the shampoo into Wyatt's hair as he sat patiently in the tub. "Do you think we can tell everyone about magic one day?" He asked his mother. Piper finished with the shampoo and dumped her hands into the bathwater to rinse them off. "I don't know honey. I hope so." Wyatt didn't appear satisfied with this answer. Piper grabbed the hand-sized bucket and glided it through the water to fill it up. "I hope so too. How do we make someone change their mind?" He lifted up his head. Piper poured the water from the bucket over his head to ring the shampoo out. "You can't make someone think a certain way," she answered him. She filled the bucket back up for round two. "I don't like that," Wyatt said. "No one does, honey. It's just how it is." She poured the water over his head and refilled the bucket for round three. "Can't magic make someone think a certain way?" Piper tossed aside the bucket and reached for the nearby bar of soap. She handed it to her son so he could wash himself. "Yes but that would be wrong. You should not take away someone's ability to think for themselves." This answer only made Wyatt more frustrated.
"Can I tell my friends?" Wyatt asked as his mother dried him off with a warm white towel. "That is not a good idea," Piper replied. She tossed aside the towel and handed Wyatt his pajama shirt. Wyatt put it over his head and stuck his arms through the armhole. He pulled the bottom of the shirt down. "Why not?" He asked. "Well, they might tell other people. The more people who know the harder it'll be to keep the secret from spreading too much." Wyatt pulled up his underpants and reached for his jammie bottoms. "You shouldn't tell someone unless you have to," Piper added. Wyatt finished dressing. "Okay," he said. He understood but he was unhappy he couldn't tell his friends. Piper retrieved Wyatt's hairbrush and began running it through his blonde hair. "You need a haircut," she told him.
Piper tucked Wyatt into bed and kissed his head. "You will make the world a better place one day," she whispered to him. Wyatt smiled at this comment. "You believe in a world where mortals can know about magic and still live with us peacefully. Keep thinking that and one day you might make it come true." She kissed his head again and made sure he was snugged in. "I love you, mommy." Piper smiled at him sweetly. "I love you too." She then got down to her knees to tuck in Chris who had already fallen asleep after having had a ten-minute tantrum over not being tired. She kissed the top of his head too before getting back up. "Mommy?" "Hmm?" "We are good witches, right?" Wyatt asked. Piper smiled and nodded to him. "Yes, honey." "One day, I want to help people, just like you do," Wyatt whispered. He rolled over and closed his eyes.
