"Which reminds me I am designing a new suit for you. That should protect you better than your current suit." I revealed. As I turned the sunlight lamp on, and started to draw blood from Kara's right forearm. Once the syringe was halfway full I turned the lamp off and removed the syringe. I can't believe it, soon I will be a Kryptonain. I grabbed a tube of Harun-El and filled the syringe until it was full. Once the Harun-El comes in contact with Kara's blood it should turn Silver as the chemical reaction takes place. I noticed that once the Harun-El came in contact with her blood it turned Silver in color.
"Lena, are you sure you want to do this?" Kara asks, concerned. I looked at her and nodded, then started to inject the Platinum Kryptonite into my left arm. I will finally be able to protect you better now, Kara. As I injected the Platinum Kryptonite into my arm, my veins started glowing Silver briefly. My veins feel like they are burning, my senses feel nonexistent. The Kryptonite must be breaking them down then rebuilding them.
"Everything is so loud, Kara. How do you stay sane with all of the noise?" I asked, as I gained the ability to hear again. This time I could hear cars, people talking, and hearts beating. This is going to take some getting used to but now I can hear Lex's plans better. Which I can protect Kara, oh he will regret the day that he comes after her.
"Practice." She answered. I can only imagine how long it took you to tune out all the other noises.
"Kara, your vision is wonderful." I commented, impressed. Now I was able to see through walls, and see people's thermal body heat. Wow, Kara, you have just opened an entire new world for me. One that I now get to share with you, and learn more about you.
"Lena to protect your identity you have two options. One is to wear glasses as Lena Luthor, the second is to wear a mask as your alter ego." Kara remarked. If I wore glasses Lillian would never let me hear the end of it. Since it would make the Luthor name seem weak, it would be better for me to wear a mask in my alter-ego. Because everyone knows who I am, so a pair of glasses won't change a thing like it does for certain reporters.
"I will wear a mask in my alter ego, because If I didn't wear a mask in my alter ego people would recognize me immediately." I answered. In my alter-ego, maybe I should let my Irish heritage show. So that way, people are thrown off even more. Then they would never expect me, Luthor to be the person under the mask.
"Lena, you need to close your eyes. Because I think your heat vision is going to kick in next." Kara says, worried. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. My eyes start to feel warm, slowly they become hotter. Heat vision is going to be the power that I need to learn to control. First because it is the most dangerous power. Plus it would give away my identity immediately if I don't learn to control it. I slowly begin to open my eyes as I feel them cool down.
"I think my powers will kick within the next couple days. Because my body's cell structure is changing." I remarked. I wonder if my metabolism is going to increase as well. Ohh that's why Kara is so fit given the way she eats, because her metabolism is going much faster than humans.
"Do you have an idea on what kind of hero you want to be?" She asked. I don't want to be like a public figure, since I already am in my everyday life.
"Yes, I want to be a vigilante. Because I want people to know that there is someone in the shadows looking out for them. Also because it would be nice to have some privacy for once." I commented. That seems like the best option for me because I don't think the Deo. Would be open to working with a super powered Luthor. Plus I could protect Kara without my reputation being affected.
"How would your alter ego react to Supergirl?" She asked, intrigued.
"She would have a love hate relationship with you." I answered with a grin. Slowly I would get you to fall in love with me even more, now that we both have powers. Lex would flip if he heard that I am now a Kryptonian. If he tried to do anything to Kara I would use heat vision on him.
"Why?" She asked.
"Because if I act like I was friends with you, people may start thinking about who I am. Also I would act like I wasn't sure what to think of you being an alien. But then slowly we would start working together more often. I have a feeling the Deo will try to capture me, however you would try to fight me. But I would beat you, then we would have a complicated relationship." I explained. The Deo is going to be in for a surprise, since I can easily hack into their system and get information on threats to National City. This way, I know what steps I need to take to prepare for becoming a vigilante.
"Basically it sounds like a forbidden love story." She says while smiling. I look at her with one eyebrow raised. That's part of my plan. Plus now I could embrace the Luthor in me and use it for good. "Anyway do you have ideas for your suit?"
"Yes, I was thinking about a nanotech suit similar to your anti-kryptonite suit. It would be a black bodysuit, with Silver and green armor pieces. I am thinking about a hood with a black Domino mask that would cover my face. It would have a voice modulator, as well as a filter system for Kryptonite. I am thinking about having batons as well as special wrist gauntlets that allow me to access into my private database system on L-corp projects as well as police scanners." I revealed. My suit will be equipped with everything I will need to stay safe and protect Kara and National City from threats. "I was thinking about me mainly using my batons to fight, then keeping my other powers secret until necessary. So that way people think I am an easier target."
"You know once you reveal your powers. I will have to interview you for Catco, right?" She asked. I promise to let you have a wonderful interview with me. That will make you a legend here in National City. After all, your cousin is known for interviewing Superman. Then again Superman is his alter-ego, he is probably going to flip once he hears that I know his identity.
"Yes, after all you seem to be able to get interviews with Superheroes and vigilantes. That makes sense given how Superman or should I say Clark Kent also seems to be able to do the same." I remarked, smugly. Kara started to blush a little bit, I could hear her heart beating faster. Oh, I am going to enjoy having powers.
"How?" She asked, amazed.
"It was easy to connect the dots, plus he uses the same disguise as you. A simple pair of glasses, honestly I am still amazed no one has figured your identity out. Then again your alter-ego personality is much more confident then your civilian identity." I explained.
"You remind so much of one of my friends, his name is Oliver Queen. If you ever meet him, I could see the two of you getting along so well." Kara commented, while thinking about him. Just from the name, he sounds like someone that is rich. Wait, that name sounds familiar. Maybe I can do some digging, because he could possibly help me.
"I think I have heard of him before." I comment, while deep in thought about where I heard the name before. Wait, I know where I heard the name before he was shipwrecked on an island for 5 years. Everyone thought he was dead, then he was found alive. But he was injected with a Japanese serum known as Mirakuru. However as time went on he began to change. Now he has a much darker personality then before. However, he is now in a relationship with Helena Bertinelli. The Daughter of the late crime boss Frank Bertinelli. "Why do I feel like Oliver Queen is a hero like you?"
"It depends on what earth, have you heard of the multiverse theory?" Kara asked.
"Yes, it is the existence of infinite universes that comprise everything that exists. Each universe within the multiverse is referred to as a different "Earth," and each vibrates at a different frequency so that they could not normally interact with or be seen by each other." I answered. "Given what I know about you now, I presume that the multiverse exists?"
"Yes, the Oliver Queen I was referring to is the one of Earth 1." Kara remarked. "You see each Earth has doppelgänger's that made a different choice that affected that earth greatly. For example, on one earth I could have landed on earth before my baby cousin. Which the world knows as Superman, you could have been Lillian's biological daughter."
"I understand, so basically it is that each earth is like an alternate timeline of our own earth?" I say, understandingly.
"Exactly!" Kara exclaimed. Maybe there is an earth where I am possibly married to Kara. If so I need to find a way to contact that earth's me. There are so many different possibilities with the multiverse theory being true!
"Kara, by chance is time travel real?" I asked, hopefully. She looks at me nervously and starts fidgeting. "Kara Danvers!"
"Oh, look at the time I gotta go bye!" She says, as she sprints out of my lab. Once I have my powers under control we are going to have a long talk about different theories that are actually real.
