So, finally! After three thousand years, Sakaki and Kaorin are here! And all of the craziness in between.
One peaceful morning, Kagura was running to school. Her face was sweating really hard, so she stopped to catch her breath. But when she looked up she saw something, no, someone special. She was a lean and tall girl with long, jet black hair. The girl was a silent but strong type, a type that even scares Kagura, so she backed off from challenging her.
In the classroom, the tall girl sat at her desk, which is next to the window. She sighed to herself, thinking about something she likes. Meanwhile, on the other side of the classroom, Kagura started to explain her discovery to her friends.
"So, I was running to school this morning when suddenly, I came across a tall girl with long black hair," The dark-skinned girl explained, "She seems to be that delinquent type that I always feared, so I backed off from challenging her. In fact, I didn't get her name!"
"Oh, her name is Sakaki Fujiwara," said an unfamiliar voice.
The other girls turned their heads around to see the source of the sound: A girl with a bob haircut wearing the same uniform as the rest of the girls.
"Who in the hell are you?" Tomo asked.
"Oh, I'm Kaori Aida," Kaori introduced herself, "And Sakaki-san is the most popular girl in this school!"
"Kaori," Yomi said, "We're just starting our first year of high school."
"I know, I know," Kaori said back, "It's just that she's so beautiful and tall and has long hair and-"
"Oh, back in my empire," Chiyo interrupted, "There were some women who were as tall as Sakaki-san and have long hair like her."
"Oh really," Tomo teased, " Then show us the proof!"
Chiyo then pulled out a photo of Chava Shapiro from 1894 and showed it to her older friends, who were amazed by the old black and white photo.
"Yanno, Ah've been thinkin' about Sakaki-san's personality," Osaka stated, "What is she like?"
"Frankly, I don't know," Kaori answered, "Sakaki-san's so scary-looking that everybody in the school is afraid to talk to her about her interests."
"Well, I hope that she's a nice person," Yomi added, and the other girls nodded in agreement.
After school, Sakaki was walking back home. Her cold blank expression turned into a warm smile as she starts to run. Then, on top of a wall in her neighborhood, she noticed a grey cat sleeping on it. Sakaki smiled. "Now's the chance," she thought to herself as she put on her hand towards the cat. But, as soon as her hand was near the dozing kitty, it woke up and bit her hand. The cat ran away and Sakaki's hand was bleeding from the bite. Just then Kaorin walked up to her and started to tend to the wound.
"Thank you," Sakaki thanked Kaori, which made the smaller girl blush.
"Uhm… you're welcome…" Kaori said back.
"Kaorin, you feel so warm. Are you blushing?"
"No, no I'm not! I'm just not worthy to hold your hand!"
"Oh…"
"Say, I need to ask you something."
"What is it, Kaorin?"
"What do you like?"
Sakaki blushed. She never heard somebody asked her that question before, but become she could answer that, Chihiro and Kotori show up, which made Sakaki nervous.
"Uh Kaorin…"
"What is it, Sakaki-san?"
"I have to go."
"But, I-"
And with that, Sakaki's gone, and Kaorin was disappointed.
The next day at school, Sakaki was staring out the window, still thinking about the grey cat.
"Maybe he was in a bad mood," Sakaki murmured, which cause Chiyo to look at her.
"I wonder if she got in a fight," Chiyo thought to herself.
But before the little girl can talk to the tall girl, Yukari had an announcement to make:
"Listen folks! PE is your next period, so boys, get out before the girls will slap you for seeing their underwear!"
All boys got out of the classroom, and then, the girls start removing their hakamas. Kaorin was still lovestruck, her heart pounding every other minute.
"Kaorin, what's wrong with you?" Kotori asked Kaori.
"Oh, it's nothing more than a crush on Sakaki-san," Kaorin answered, blushing in the process.
"Whoa, you got a crush on Sakaki?! That's so amazing! You might be the first person in the school to have a crush on the sexy, gorgeous-"
But then, Sakaki dropped down her kimono, and Kaorin saw something that she didn't expect from Sakaki…
*MEOW!*
… and Sakaki covered that up with some red bloomers (not the underwear-looking one, perverts!), black stockings, and a white sailor middy blouse.
"Kaorin, you're blushing again," Kotori said.
"Kotori-chan…," Kaori muttered, "I saw some cat underpants on Sakaki-san…"
"Cats… Sakaki-san… okay, now you talking about weird stuff."
On the field, all of the students line up in front of their PE teacher. Their teacher was a young woman with short black hair with two long sidelocks wearing a dress suit, and her name was Minamo Kurosawa.
"Okay class," Kurosawa said, "Usually, I would make you all play badminton, but today, we're going to some track running."
"ALRIGHT! I'M CHALLENGING SAKAKI-SAN IN A 100 METER DASH!" Tomo shouted at Sakaki, "Meet at the starting line, sucker!"
Sakaki and Tomo were now at the starting line and the taller girl was feeling a little annoyed.
"Wait!" Tomo yelled, "I have an 8-centimeter disadvantage! Sakaki-san, move back 8 centimeters!"
"Seriously, 8 centimeters?" Yomi commented.
"That's cheating!" Kagura added.
"It ain't cheatin'," Ayumu added, "Tomo-chan's advocatin' for girls with small boobs."
And then, the two girls were off. Tomo's struggling to keep her speed, but Sakaki kept on running 'til the end. And at the end of the track, Sakaki made it, but Tomo fainted.
"Welp," Yomi sighed, "looks like you're-"
"SEMI-VICTORIOUS!" Tomo shouted, "Look at her, Yomi! Sakaki-san must join the baseball team!"
"You know what, you're right, Tomo!" Kagura said, "I mean, Sakaki's so fast and athletic!"
"Not to mention that havin' the scariest girl in our team will make the boys shiver in their pants," Ayumu added."
As the girls praise Sakaki, the taller girl then blushes, and then simply walks away.
"Huh?" Chiyo noted, "Where's Sakaki-san?"
After school, Sakaki, now in a burgundy kimono, was walking in the streets, looking at the windows of the local toy store and seeing the latest craze for kids: Neko Koneko. The tall girl then entered a movie theater and bought a movie ticket for a certain movie. She then entered the auditorium and then, the movie began.
There was a cat on the screen, meowing as it was floating in a box at sea. The cat then got out of the box and was on the streets. It walked around, trying to find something important to it. It then found a little girl and leaped into her arms.
The movie ended and Sakaki was crying really hard. She got out of the movie theater and sighed to herself.
"I wish mom would let me own a cat," Sakaki muttered to herself.
Still, the tall girl kept on walking through the streets, until she spotted something very special. It was a large dog with a slender build and a wavy white coat of fur. The dog's slender snout pointed at Sakaki, and the dog barked.
"Ah, Sakaki-san!" Chiyo said, coming from behind the dog, "Nice to see you again."
"Chiyo-chan, who is that dog?" Sakaki asked.
"Oh, he's Mr. Tadakichi. He was once dad's hunting dog back in Russia, but now he's just a family dog."
"Is he friendly, Chiyo-chan? I mean, a bite from him would be disastrous, not to mention that he was once a hunting dog."
"Oh, you don't have to worry, Sakaki-san. Mr. Tadakichi's a man of character for a borzoi!"
And with that, Sakaki placed her hand onto Mr. Tadakichi's head, and to her surprise, he didn't bite her. Sakaki continued to pet Mr. Tadakichi until it became dusk.
"Well, Sakaki-san, I should go back home," Chiyo said, "You want to join me?"
"Yes," Sakaki simply answered.
Chiyo then climbed on the back of Mr. Tadakichi, and she and Sakaki walked to the mansion.
At the Mihamovsky mansion, Chiyo and Sakaki went inside, and they saw the rest of the gang along with Chihiro and Kotori.
"Oy Chiyo-chan!" Tomo shouted, "You missed the tryouts! And we got Chihiro and Kotori into our team!"
"Oh, that's wonderful!" Chiyo cheered, "By the way, I think Sakaki-san could join our team!"
"No, it's okay," Sakaki spoke.
"Come on, Sakaki-san," Tomo said, "If you join, you can have some quality time with the dog!"
Sakaki then processed the information she's given, and give a confident nod.
Outside of the mansion, Kaorin was walking out when she heard a *cling* sound. She then looked over the fence and saw an amazing sight: Sakaki batting a piece of fruit during the sunset. Kaorin then climbed over the fence and fell into the yard. Tomo then noticed Kaorin lying on the ground with some blood on her face.
"Chiyo-chan!" Tomo yelled, "We got a Kaorin in the yard nose bleeding!" But, there was no response. "Welp, I guess you're in the team, Kaorin."
And with that, all nine members of the baseball team are gathered. And the uphill battle has begun.
Now, the next chapter is more filler, so expect that to happen.
