Delta awoke to find himself still contained within the metal cage he had been stuffed into, it soon became apparent that his optical and audio receptors had gone offline for a period of time since they were rebooting when he woke up. It took a few seconds for his eyes to get back to 100 precent and a little bit longer for the night vision software installed within them to kick in, which he was thankful for when it finally did, at least now he could see his surroundings, while he waited for his audio receptors to finish rebooting. Delta glanced around the room which he was locked away from, it was filled with different types of technology most of which Delta had never even seen before, which made them look very menacing. He gulped quietly in fear, he didn't like the look of this room one bit. It looked very advanced and futuristic which scared him, lights were flashing away on several control panels in an almost hypnotic way.

They were so hypnotic that Delta had to look away as they were messing with his vision, he tried to move his arms and legs but they still wouldn't move, clearly they hadn't recovered from the shock he had received but he hoped they would soon. Not being able to move made this whole thing much scarier. Just then he was suddenly able to hear again, his audio receptors had rebooted finally. The only noise he could here was a faint bleeping which he believed was coming from one of the panels in the room, Delta was already finding the noise annoying. He really just wanted to know where he was and why he had been taken, Delta then felt a sharp pain in his back where he had been attacked. Now he wished he couldn't feel pain as it really did hurt, if this is how much it hurt him to be stabbed he could only imagine how much it would hurt a human. Finally and much to Delta's delight he discovered that he was now able to move, how much use it was while he was locked in the cage was unclear, but he didn't really care.

While he tried to block out his pain Delta heard footsteps approaching, almost instinctively Delta moved towards the back of the cage. "It seems our little guest is awake." A voice said, Delta watch as a face moved into view. It appeared to be a human but their skin was almost a light blueish colour, so clearly not an Earth human but some humanoid species. "You rebooted a lot quicker than I thought, your programming must really be something." The person said, Delta was almost shaking, no he was shaking he couldn't help it. "Who…Who are you? And where am I?" Delta stuttered, he wasn't even aware his voice module had started working again. "My name is Roman and as for where you are your on Tencamaria." Delta was confused, he had never heard of a planet or place called that before. "Why did you take me?" Delta asked, "You don't need to worry about that." Replied Roman with a smirk. "What are you going to do with me?"

Even though he had asked the question, Delta wasn't too sure if he wanted to know the answer. "We're going to upgrade your program and give you a new robotic body, so in the end you will serve a new master." Delta was confused, "But… I don't have a master." Roman stared blankly at him. "What about that red haired girl?" Roman asked, Delta knew who he was referring to. "Lexie's not my master, she's my family." Delta cried, he had never saw Lexie as his master ever. "But she created you did she not?" Questioned Roman, "Yes but she's not my master." Roman simply laughed. "Well in that case, I'll have the pleasure of being your first master." Delta was horrified, "You will never be my master, I'm loyal to one group of people only and that's the crew of the USS Enterprise and when they find me you'll be sorry you ever took me. I'll never obey you!" He said bravely, but that soon faded when he heard Roman laugh. "Oh but you will obey me, after we upgrade and alter your programming that is." Delta gulped, "Umm 'us'? what do you mean?" It was then when he noticed several other men walking towards his small prison.

"Allow me to introduce my henchman. Adam, James, and Oscar. They'll be in charge of conducting your upgrade." Roman stated as the three men stood beside him, Delta pressed himself up against the bars at the back of the cage. "I won't let you do anything to my programming!" He cried as he watched one of Roman's henchmen unlock the cage door, "You're in no position to dictate what we can and can't do." Roman called. Delta tried to fight the hand, which was reaching for him, but he wasn't strong enough to do anything. The hand soon dragged him out from the cage with Delta still struggling, "Put me down! Put me down!" He screamed. "Oscar make him shut up, he's giving me a headache, but don't damage him." Roman growled, Oscar nodded as he raised his other hand up to Delta's face, a taser in hand. "I suggest that you mute your voice module, otherwise I'll do it for you!" Oscar snarled, Delta immediately went quiet out of fear since he didn't want them to hurt him.

Roman smiled smugly, "That's much better, you're already starting to obey orders." Delta hated knowing he was right, but what else was he going to do. Oscar walked over to one of the many machines and went to place the little robot down when Delta bolted, since he had his wings Delta was able to fly. He was just thankful they still worked, he took off like a rocket. But there was one problem, he had no idea where the hell he was going to go! So he just flew up as high as he could, hoping he would be out of reach. "Adam, teach our little friend what happens to those who disobey orders." Roman said as he turned to face one of his other henchman who simply nodded, Adam then pulled out some sort of pistol. Quickly taking aim Adam fired, instead of firing a bullet the gun fired a bolt of electrical energy. Delta didn't have time to even comprehend what was coming towards him, just like before his internal systems slowly began to shut down including his wings, which caused him to crash forcefully onto the ground, luckily nothing broke which Delta was grateful for.

As Delta was trying to gather himself he saw someone step over to him, once again Delta felt himself being picked up but he was too tired to fight back this time, so he just let it happen. "I suggest you don't try that again, otherwise your systems may not reboot the next time." Adam said smugly as he stared into Delta's saddened eyes, Delta didn't bother replying since he knew what ever he said wouldn't make any difference. Adam then placed the robot into the machine, as soon as he was placed inside Delta felt several wires attach themselves in various places on his metallic body. "Adam you upgrade our guests AI program. James, Oscar go and make the final adjustments to his new body." The henchman all nodded and hurried off to follow their orders, while Roman wandered out of the room. Delta sat and watched as Adam typed away on a screen.

He was clearly trying to get into Delta's programming which appeared to be causing him some distress, several times Adam muttered something under his breath and one time even slammed his fist down on the console. "How many firewalls do you god dam have you little brat?" Adam muttered, Delta smiled smugly. "What can I say, my creator is a genius." Adam growled as he continued to struggle with the protection that Delta's systems had. Lexie had always been concerned about someone trying to hack Delta, therefore she put in place some security… Ok maybe she went a little overboard with the security, but for once Delta was thankful that she had gone so mad with it since it was buying him some time, what for he wasn't sure yet. Once again Adam cursed under his breath as he once again failed to hack into Delta's system, "How old was that bloody human when she created you?" Delta didn't know if Adam was expecting an answer, but he chose to give him one anyway just to annoy him, "She was seven if that makes you feel any stupider." Adam whipped his head around and just stared at him, Delta quickly realised that annoying him may have been a bad call.

"Listen here you poor excuse of a tin can, I don't take too kindly to sarcastic remarks!" Adam yelled menacingly which caused Delta to quiver in fear. "Haven't you finished yet Adam?!" Yelled Oscar as he wandered over, Adam turned to face him. "You try hacking into this brats system." Oscar simply shoved Adam away from the console and tried himself to gain access to Delta's programming. But it was clear by the look on his face that he was also having trouble with it, "Bloody hell, this is impossible." Oscar stated as he threw his hands up. "I told you." Adam said as he removed Oscar from the console and tried again. "See! No matter what I try to do, I just can't gain access. Anyway have you finished with his new robotic body?" Adam asked, "Of course I did, James is just doing his bit. But the boss ain't gonna be too happy about this." Oscar stated. "For once you're right, I hope he has a backup plan for this." "You hope I have a backup plan for what?" Both men froze at the voice which had spoken, they slowly turned around to see Roman standing behind them. "Is there a problem gentlemen?"

He asked calmly, but both men didn't answer his question, it took until Roman asked again for one of them to give him one. "We're having a few problems with accessing the robots programming, we just can't get pass the security which has been put in place." Stated Adam nervously, clearly he was afraid of what Roman was going to say. Even Delta was slightly nervous, "I had a feeling that this would be an issue, so yes I do have a backup plan." "What would that be boss?" Questioned Adam, "If we can't alter the current programming, we simply control it." Delta felt his circuits twitch, what did he mean by that? Did Roman really have a way to control him? "Come, we have a few more alterations to make before we can begin." Roman said as he turned his back on them and began to slowly walk away, "What do you want us to do with him?" Adam said as he gestured over his shoulder at Delta. "Throw him back in the cage, he can stay there until we're done." Adam nodded as Roman and Oscar walked off, he turned and removed Delta from the machine, then walked back over to the cage. Adam opened the door and quite literally threw Delta inside, "Enjoy your last few minutes of freedom pipsqueak because you won't have it for much longer."

After struggling to sit up Delta just sat there, his back against the bars of the cage. He was so scared and felt so alone, never before had he been away from Lexie like this. Delta sniffled as he drew his knees up to his metallic chest, he just wanted to cry. Delta closed his eyes and thought about the Enterprise and Lexie, he believed that if he concentrated on some of his good memories it would make him feel better, but he only felt sadder. He soon came to his earliest memory, the day Lexie created him. He remembered opening his eyes for the first time, the first thing he saw was a young Lexie smiling at him. It was a very strange feeling when he woke up, he didn't really know what was going on or what he really was. That was until Lexie explained everything to him, the only part he was confused about was his name.

Lexie had told him that he was an advanced AI program, so why did she bother to name him? Lexie went on to explain that he was much more than that, he was her friend and they he deserved to have a name and Delta seemed the most fitting. Delta was missing Lexie so much, he just wanted to be with her, wrapped up in her protective arms once again, to hear her soft voice. He was also missing the Enterprise and her crew, he would give anything to hear Scotty's voice right now or even Chekov's, he would even settle on hearing McCoy's grumpy voice. "Lexie, where are you? Please find me, I don't want to be alone." Delta whimpered quietly, he knew that Lexie would have discovered that he was gone and that the Enterprise would be looking for him. At least that's what he hoped.

Several hours passed before someone came to remove Delta from his prison. "Let's go pipsqueak!" Yelled Adam as he grabbed the little robot firmly with one hand, which caused Delta a bit of pain. Once again Delta didn't fight or struggle, he didn't see the point. He was dealing with beings who were several times bigger than him, not to mention how much stronger they were, Lexie didn't build his robotic body for combat. With Delta in hand (literally) Adam wandered out of the room, Delta moved his eyes around to observe his surroundings. Everything looked so futuristic, but dull. There was no colour anywhere, which gave Delta the chills. They soon entered into a large open room, the white lights which hung from the ceiling shone brightly. Delta had to close his eyes, he had been sitting in the dark for so long that his optical receptors had become attuned to the low light levels. When he finally did open them again they quickly fell upon something which stood in the centre of the room, it was a gigantic robot which almost seemed like a scaled up model of his own robotic body. "Here's the brat boss." Adam stated as he held Delta out in front of him, Roman walked over and took him in his own hands. He then turned to face the robot, then he clicked his fingers and the chest of the robot opened up. "Welcome to your new home." He said smugly. Delta's eyes widened as he turn to look up at the man's face, "Wait what?!"

Before he got an answer Roman shoved him inside and the chest closed back up. "Hey! Let me out!" Delta cried as he banged loudly on the metal, it was then he heard a faint buzzing noise. Suddenly he felt several wires get jammed into his head which caused him to squint his eyes in pain, then the noise slowly got louder and louder. Delta began to feel strange, as if he was losing all self-control. "What are you doing to me?!" He yelled as he placed his hands on his head, hoping to get the pain he was feeling to stop. "I'm taking control of you. Even an advance AI like you can't handle supersonic vibrations like this, you will obey me." Roman replied. Delta could hear his voice very clearly so there must be a com somewhere inside his new prison, the buzzing noise got even louder and in turn the pain Delta was feeling grew worse. He was in agony but he refused to give in, he refused to be force to obey his captors. Roman gritted his teeth, clearly he hadn't expected Delta to put up so much of a fight. "Stubborn little brat! You will obey me!" He then pulled out a remote from his pocket and pressed a button, inside the buzzing noise was now at a deafening level. Delta tried to shut off his audio receptors but he couldn't, so he had no choice but to listen to the painful sound. If he was able to cry real tears Delta would be in floods of them, the pain was unbearable at this point. "Lexie…Help me! Please!" He cried as he continued to fight, but for how long he was going to be able to was unclear.
