Chapter 2
"Don't be ridiculous Mineta. That is like saying we don't trust all men just because you are a pervert," Momo Yaoyorozu (Creation) said, getting nods from most of the other girls and some of the guys. "Midoriya seems to trust them and so does Todoroki. That means I do too." She paused as the diminutive Mineta said she and the other girls only liked David because he was hot. "We aren't you or Kaminari," she snapped walking off with the other girls except Kyoka Jiro, AKA Earphone Jack, who wasn't ready to side with either Momo or Mineta. Momo looked over her shoulder at Kyoka "Leave her" she said. She wasn't mad as much as she was disappointed at those of the class that didn't show suport for thier new teacher or classmate. She heard Kaminari explain what they had learned to Bakugou who laughed but didn't say anything about agreeing with the perverts.
"Where's the funeral?" Aizawa asked as he approached his students. "Who we let teach or attend school here is not your concern. I can assure you those two are about as far from Villains as you can get," he added just as Rhazhah and All Might came up beside him. "Your secret is out. It seems some of the class thinks they know better than the adults and pros," Aizawa said using his Quirk to erase the quirks of those students stupid enough to try and attack their new teacher. Not that he could completely blame them. Things had been a little tense since All Might had retired. "Enough! We are all wound a little tight so why don't we all turn in...wait where are Midoryia, Todoroki, and David?" he asked realizing three of his students were missing.
In David's room, the three young Heroes were eerily quiet. Midoriya had one arm crossed over his body his hand holding onto his other arm head and gaze focused downwards. "Why did you do that Shoto?" he said using Todoroki's first name. "If you wanted to ask about his grandfather you should have waited until we were alone with him." Midoriya's was voice slightly strained as he fought over reacting.
"It's okay. I understand why he did what he did. He didn't want the others to think I was hiding something that could be seen as bad. Don't let this put a strain on your relationship." David was met with panicked, wide eyed stares that he could not see but he could tell he had spooked the two teens who asked in unison how he knew. "It's your heart beats. When you're apart they are like any other heart beat. But when you're togther they are calm and beat together. I have only encountered this in couples truly in love and compatible," David explained. "I'm not trying to embaress you or anything. That is why I asked to speak to you privately, not knowing if the others know about you so I figured this was the safer plan."
David chewed on his lip a bad habit of his. "But there is another reason I wished to speak with you." He was speaking more to Deku by this point. "I have a question about someone that like All Might is an uncle to me. Mirai Sasaki, better known as Sir Nighteye. I know you were there Midoryia both at his last fight and in his last moments. No one will tell me what really happened. I was hoping you would. All I know is it all happened when you all fought a Villain called Overhaul who you later beat proving the foresight vision wrong." David was quiet as he waited for an answer. "No he needs you here," the blind teen said when he heard Todoroki move to leave so the other two could have some privacy. "Dad remained close to both my uncles even after they stopped talking. He tried more then once to talk some sense into them but, well you've met them both so I am sure you can guess how that went." David went quiet again.
"Well I'm I mean... I don't think I'm the.." Midoriya stumbled over his words. "I want to tell you I really do. But, I don't know that I am the right person to tell you. Or that it is even my place." He was finally able to force the words out. He felt Todoroki's hand on his should for comfort and encouragement both of which he really needed at that moment. "But you deserve to know, so here goes nothing." He launched into a detailed explanation, praying All Might would not be too angry at him. Tears sprung to his eyes as he remember Nighteye's last moments. He felt Todoroki rub his back to comfort his boyfriend. After Midoriya was done all three teens were sad, two had tears in their eyes. After a few moments spent in silence Todoroki began to speak.
"It's about time you talked about that," Todoroki said placing a soft kiss on Midoriya's temple. "It feels nice for one of our classmates to know about us," he added. Todoroki shifted his eyes to look at the blind teen and smiled gently after a moment shifting his gaze back to Midoriya. "Izuku wants to," he said when David asked why they kept things a secret instead of telling their friends. "I'm well to be honest I am worried about certain peoples reaction. Though we have told my mother. We told her when I brought Izuku to the hospital to meet her," the youngest Todoroki said castng his eyes down and to the side. Suddenly there was a heavy loud knock on the door. Todoroki who was closest pulled the room's door open to reveal All Might and their new teacher.
"Young Midoriya, Young Todoroki, I hope my nephew isn't causing you two trouble." All Might saw the tears in David's and Midoriya's eyes and instantly had a bad feeling about what had been taking place in the small room. "What did you do young Midoriya?" he asked knowing they were not going to like the answer.
"What you guys should have I told him about Sir Nighteye. It's wrong that you guys took away his right to know the details of someone he loves last fight and moments. You know what? I am not sorry he had every right to know and both of you know it." Midoriya took a protective stance in front of David joined by Todoroki. They may have just met David but they did not want to see him hurt and felt the need to protect him. "If you died All Might would you want me kept in the dark? Oh and don't worry about Shoto, he knows about One for All. I don't keep secrets from him." Midoriya thought All Might would be angry with him but was relieved when his teacher just nodded giving them a smile. "I'm sorry I didn't ask before I told him." He had more to say but his teacher shook his head telling the boy he had nothing to be sorry for. "Did you need anything else before its time for bed?" the green haired teen asked David who nodded but said it was a private matter. The adults took the hint and left pulling the door closed behind them.
"What is that boy up to now?" Ren muttered meaning his son. The old friends helped Aizawa check on the rest of class 1-A who were in their rooms by that point. Then the three men made their way to the faculty dorm building. "I'm sure it will be okay, you have known David all his life. He would never intentionaly hurt anyone. He is not his grandfather," Ren said having been told by the girls about Todoroki's question. "That being said I still want to strangle that pompous prick Endevor's kid," he said smiling.
"What did you need to talk to use about?" Todoroki asked from his now sitting position in the chair at David's desk. "Also why weren't they mad at Izuku?" he asked. He was not good at showing his emotion but his boyfriend was helping with that.
"Oh, I uhh... I wanted to ask both of you if you will let me see you more clearly. You see if I touch your faces my Quirk will help show me a more detailed version of what you look like. Most blind people do not know what colors are but my Quirk has allowed me to learn so if you tell me what color your hair, eyes, and skin are or if you have markings like freckles or scars or even tattoos, my Qirk will help my mind paint a picture of you. Like I know my hair is silver blond and my eyes are a shade of silver that would make me look blind even if I wasn't. My way of 'seeing' is different but it works for me. I am not using my Quirk right now so I am just a normal blind person which is why I am on the bed right now and not moving since I don't know the room yet. As for why Uncle Toshinori wasn't mad at you I'm not sure it could be because of many factors." David was thrilled when both his classmates agreed to let him use his Quirk to 'see' them more clearly.
"Shoto," Todoroki said when asked by David who had sat down first. "Okay. First, my hair is weird one side is red the other white." He took David's hand to 'show' him which side was which. "My eyes are strange too one is gray the other turqouise that one is surounded by a large burn scar. I guess I'm pretty pale but I don't have freckles or any othe marks other then my scar." Todoroki stood switching places with Midoriya.
"Umm, my hair is darker green," Midoriya started "My eyes are green as well and I have pale skin with lots of freckles does that help you?" the flustered teen asked. He beat his boyfriend to the next question. "Why us?" he asked "Wouldn't the girls be more interesting to 'see'? I mean Mina is pink after all," Midoriya said.
"I'm sure I will use my Quirk with most of the rest of the class at some point but I needed to start with you because well... because I think I have a crush on both of you. This is based on what I know about you from Uncle Toshinori and press releases as well as hearing about you from the TV and my uncle's police contacts. I know about Stain. I begged Uncle Toshinori until he told me when we were on the phone." He was rambling. "I will not try to break you up because I like and want to be with you both if that's even possible." David couldn't stop himself from confessing. Sure he was worried it would drive them away so he quickly finished his thoughts. "If that is not possible I want us to be close friends." He 'saw' the panicked light vibrations and heard their hearts speed up and his own heart sank. "Of course," he said when his classmates asked if they could have time to think about it. "There is one more thing and it can not leave his room not even Father or Uncle Toshinori know about this," David said in an urgent tone. He knew he had just met them but he had no one else to talk to.
"You can tell us anything we are already friends" Midoriya assured feeling Todoroki squeeze his hand in support and heard him agree. "As for the other thing we need time to talk about it but we will try to answer soon," he added smiling, taking David's hand and lifting it up to 'show' the other teen his big smile. He could tell David had his Quirk deactivated and was just a normal blind person right at that moment. He had a bad feeling about what David had to tell them and when the blind teen began to explain his worst fears were proven true and then some.
"Right after Dad and I came to Japan I got lost while out exploring on my own. I was found by some very bad people they were with your local Villain group. If I remember correctly the leader or at least one in charge of that small grup at that moment called himself Dabi. He was with two others a girl named Toga and a guy called Twice. They knew all about my grandfather. They told me if I was smart and knew what was good for me I would join them. That I would never truly be accepted by Heroes just like my dad. They let me go to think about my answer but warned me if I ended up saying no I would suffer in the worst way possible." David felt both other teens put a hand on one of his shoulders. He ears pricked hearing something outside the room but, having a pretty good idea what it might be, he said nothing focusing instead on his new friends.
Kyoka Jiro pulled her jack out of the door to David's room. She had been using her Quirk Earphone Jack to listen to her classmates. Lucky for them she had only been there to hear the last bit thanks to having to wait for the teachers to be gone. Then she had had to sneak to the boys' roooms. She slipped off down the hallway talking to herself sounding a little paranoid.
"Tell the teachers or confront David. I wonder what I should do. Should I stay quiet risking he is like his grandfather and is only acting like a hero or should I trust him."
