Zoro grabs his black pea coat and helmet as he walks out passing the police officer that took the shift after him. He walks out to his motorcycle that Frank had made him. It's a cross between a cruiser and sports bike. It is black with a green tiger on the side that glows in the dark brighter than if it were seen during the day. Zoro sat in the seat putting his helmet on.
"Oh, did you finally finish the paper work?" He turns to see Smoker coming up to him. He must have just finish walking around. Zoro lifts the visor on his helmet up.
"I finished a while ago bit had to wait for for my shift to end before I could leave, good thing to I'm tired as hell." Zoro puts his gloves on.
"Well see you tomorrow." Smoker walks away as he waves goodbye. Right before Zoro starts to drive he feels a vibrate on his back. He takes his backpack off and looks for his phone. He sees Luffy is calling. He takes his helmet off to answer and puts the phone to his ear.
"Hey, Luffy can you call me back, I'm about to head home."
"Really? Perfect timing then. Come to Grand Line academy, everyone finally gathered and we're having a party the only one missing is you and Sanji who should be here soon."
"Can I skip? As much as I would love to see everyone I'm kind of tired and would like to go home to sleep."
"No!" He yells making Zoro jump pulling the phone away from his ear. "We all made a pact to reunite, we are all going to be here now get your ass here."
"Fine. But I won't stay long." Zoro says as he hangs up putting his helmet back on and gloves. He starts to drive towards the school. He really didn't want to go. As much as he loves his friend he didn't want to see Sanji, he hasn't gotten over his feelings for him and before they talk or see each other again he wanted these feelings to go away. He had thought that after getting rejected it would be over but that didn't work. He felt happy, he felt light but he still loves the cook.
Zoro rode his motorcycle onto the school grounds and rode in towards the music and noise. When he turn the corner he saw a big feast and a crowd of people, more than just their group. He saw Ace, Sabo, Law and their friends as well as the straw hat group. They all turned to him not realizing it is Zoro, they all looked like they were ready to fight him except of course Ace, Sabo and Luffy who knew who it is. "Zoro!" Luffy said as he ran towards him.
"Zoro!" Everyone yells. Franky face palms himself.
"I can't believe I forget my own SSSUUUPPPPPEEERRR motorcycle I custom made for Zoro." They all gather around him as he takes his helmet off.
"When did you learn how to drive a motorcycle?" Usopp asks.
"I've been knowing since high school. I just never had the opportunity to ride the one I had." Everyone talks to him and follows him asking about how the state let him drive a vehicle with his lack of directions. He got off of it and walks towards the table of food. It is just like old times, enough to make him forget he didn't even want to be there in the first place.
"My hero!" Zoro turns to the familiar voice. He looks down to see her there. Luane, the little girl he saved three nights ago. He spits his food and almost chokes falling down to his knees trying to catch his breath.
"Hero?" Sanji walks up behind her. Zoro flinches at the sound of his voice. It hasn't changes one bit. He slowly turns his head to Sanji, who had his hair parted covering his right eye instead of his left, and more facial hair on his face. Zoro stands up now able to breath.
"Yeah, my hero. He's the one who saved me not the scary one who was with me when you picked me up." She turns to hug Zoro's leg, the girls all awe at the sight. "Thank you for saving me." She says. He looks down at her not sure if he should hug her back. He looks up at Sanji.
"Thank you for saving her." Sanji said as he peels her away from him.
"It's OK it is my job." Zoro gets down on his knees to her eye level and pats her head. "I'm glad your safe and with your father." He smiles and she smiles back. Sanji pulls her away. Everyone stares at him and Zoro at first is shocked by the sudden move but then he knew. Sanji must not want Zoro touching his daughter. The group got ready to say something but is stopped by Sanji.
"Job?" The blonde asks confused. He didn't know? They all thought he would know. It wasn't a secret. They all made fun of him at first because how could Zoro become a cop with no sense of directions.
"Zoro is a cop." Usopp said as Zoro stood on his feet. The fun died down, they didn't like the way Sanji pulled his daughter away from Zoro with an expression like Zoro will do something to her. They all observe Sanji as he pulls Luane close to himself like they were surrounded by zombies or something equally as bad.
"Let's eat!" Luffy yells averting everyone's attention. A good move on his part because the exciting atmosphere start again. Zoro chose to ignore what just happen. His attitude might help Zoro finally forget Sanji. They all laugh and dance just like when they were in high school. With no cares in the world.
Zoro spent most of the time ignoring Sanji and vice versa. Zoro knew Sanji has a problem with him being gay but it still hurt a little, being rejected so much that he didn't even want his own daughter near him.
"Can I say something?" Robin asks bringing the attention of everyone. After knowing she has the attention of everyone she begins, "I'm moving back."
"What about your university job?" Nami ask.
"I only started teaches to help a teacher and it soon turned into a job so I decided to teach somewhere else. Here to be exact." She points to the school building. Everyone cheers and congratulates her. Then many others reveal that they are moving back causing more celebration. Everyone smiling like there's no tomorrow, shouting like they are the only ones in the world. Zoro felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He took it out and look at the screen, his smile disappears.
"What are doing calling me?" He asks moving away from the group to a more secluded area. Nami stares at him and moves close to listen to the conversation as she tries to not look like she's eavesdropping on him. She look nonchalant and notices Sanji and Luane taking glances at him. They both seem to take a liking to the cop so why did Sanji act the way he did. Zoro hangs up his phone and puts it back in his pocket. He grabs his helmet and goes to his motorcycle he starts it up and Luffy walks up to him.
"Going already?"
"Sorry, got some personal business to tend to." With that everyone waves bye as he circles around them and leaves, leaving a dust trail behind him.
"What's with that look?" Nami says at Sanji who sat in the sidelines while Luane plays with Luffy and his brothers.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Sanji, I don't know what's wrong but if it's because Zoro is gay you might want to get over it. You live in this city now you never know when he's going to be the cop showing up at your place when you call. Let him off the hook for whatever problem you have with him. You have no idea how long it took him to finally confess." She stands up still talking as she she walks away. "He kept coming up with stupid excuses to not confess when we asked. No matter what we told him he came up with something turning our suggestions down.
"What you all knew?" Sanji asks, Nami turns back to face him.
"Well yeah, it was obvious." She says before joining the others. Sanji couldn't believe it, everyone knew and didn't say anything about it. Thinking about what Nami said, he couldn't help but feel sad about the fact that he and Zoro couldn't be friends. Zoro being gay didn't sit well with him bit he doesn't know why.
