"Settle down, Gil, please!" Mrs. Swimmer called out to her son. "I don't want you hurting yourself."
16 month old Gil was swimming all around the living room. And boy, did that Guppy had a lot energy. He was moving so fast that his mother couldn't keep up with him.
"Slow down, Gilly," the mother tiredly called out to him. But little Gil just kept on swimming. Mrs. Swimmer let out a sigh. It was exhausting watching her energetic son and often wonders when he is every going to wear himself out.
"Why don't you rest with me, sweetie?" the mother said. She managed to catch her little ball of energy and sit him down on her lap, though the blue-haired Guppy was squirming around as he sat.
"Now, doesn't this feel nice to take a break from all that swimming?" Mrs. Swimmer said gently to her squirmy baby. She was able to relax for while after all that running around.
Too bad it didn't last long, because little Gil broke free of her grip and started swimming around the house again. He swam from the living room to kitchen.
His mother sighed as she picked up the toys that was on the floor. "What am I going to do with that boy?" she wondered out loud.
As she put all the toys back in the toy box, she heard a loud bang coming from the kitchen. The mother rushed into the kitchen to see what was going.
"Gil, are you okay?" she said in a worried tone. She saw that her son open the kitchen cabinets and some pot and pans fell out.
"O-kay!" Gil said with a smile. His mom sighed in relief.
Just then, the blue-haired toddler started to bang on one of the pots as if it was a drum. The mother laughed as she listened to him make some noise.
"Oh, Gilly, that's not how you play the pot," chuckled the light-haired mother. She held out two wooden spoons and hit a pot with them. "This is how you play the pot," she said.
Baby Gil clapped his hands as his mom rocked a pretty sick beat. "Me pway!"he exclaimed.
So, his mom handed the spoons to him. The little merboy had a lot of fun playing with pots and pans. And his mother was happy because not only does she get to enjoy her son's little concert, she can finally get a break from all his swimming around.
