Hi,
Guest: Lydia saw nothing wrong in marrying…
Thank you for the time you put it on my comment.
-Yes, I read p&p. That's why I am here.
-You are right about Lydia and Darcy. But Lydia was a child, a stupid and foolish child. Children can't discern "right from wrong", that's adults' job to do that. And I didn't say that Darcy forced Lydia to marry Wickham, I said Darcy forced Wickham...
-But Lydia isn't my concern, my concern is how we see Darcy/Lydia pairing.
IF…
Darcy saw Lydia as a child, younger than his sister, the sister of his love, then he shouldn't listen to Lydia and must do the right thing. The right thing from Darcy's view was something that he would do if it was Georgiana in this situation. "Having relation with a man like Wickham before her marriage." He never would let his sister marry him. Even if Georgiana loved Wickham and didn't know the true nature of him, even if he must lock her in a room in Pemberley.
Maybe he wasn't changed at all, and he didn't give a damn to others and he was still selfish and he just cared about people that he deemed them worthy of his care!
But I don't think so, he was a changed man, it's the case.
OR…
Darcy didn't saw her as a child and saw her as a grown woman who could decide for her life at this young age. If it was the case, then Darcy/Lydia pairing isn't Child/Ped****.
I call this kind of situation, Double-Standard. Darcy/Lydia, oh! child/p***. Wickham/Lydia, she deserved it.
We need to be fair so at least if we couldn't be fair for the sake of being just that, for the sake of ourselves, then others would be fair to us when we need them.
I respect if you don't like Lydia character, it's interesting that I also don't like her at all, but her actions make me laugh. And why not try something new for fun?
"Anyway, I'm not here to undermine others' perspective of P&P.
I'm here to suggest some pairing, maybe odd. So if one pairing gets the most vote, then maybe a writer see that it isn't bad to write about that pairing."
**One of the dear reviewers suggested Mary Crawford/Darcy. I didn't read S&S, but I watched a s&s movie, and I kind of liked her character, I think she had a complicated personality. Though it's a crossover, I think their pairing is one of the good matches.
I'll add a pre chapter. I shall write pairing, first the odd ones, then others, if you have any idea you can add to the list and I will count reviews for all the pairing, and I shall say which one has the most positive vote.
Be Happy, Delkash
