626 lowers the charge back to normal and sees that his suit is at 89% battery life. His mind starts to slow back down and he begins to think clearly again. He sees the experiment log is still open and takes one last look at Leroy and smiles.
626: Wait for me, cousins.
626 walks over to Hämsterviel and takes his keys to the police cruiser, as he heads out he starts thinking of a plan to break his cousins out of prison. He increases the charge on his suit a bit to help him think while being mindful to conserve battery. Before he's out he sees a prototype helmet Hämsterviel was making for the suit, 626 takes it just in case. He gets in the ship and sets the coordinates for the prison, meanwhile Jumba still in hyperspace is in a panic worrying his worst fears have come true.
Jumba: Fear not 626, I'll be there shortly.
Stitch: Hmm?
Jumba: Oh, uh yes, we are very close. I need for you to be ready in case Hämsterviel chose to hide in my lab. We must get there quickly before he has the chance to create anything.
Stitch: Ih.
As they exit hyperspace and approach the lab, they notices a large blast hole in the side door of the lab.
Stitch: Choota!
Jumba: Yes, it is as I feared.
Jumba grew frustrated, fists clenched thinking what Hämsterviel could have done to his experiment. They land and exit guns drawn slowly approaching and sneak inside through the blasted door. Jumba is surprised at how quiet the lab is, there's not a single sound coming from anywhere inside the lab. They carefully look through the rooms and just see all the cabinets and drawers have been opened, documents scattered all throughout.
They eventually reach the main lab and see the floor littered with broken glass, Jumba notices the larger pieces have deep scratches embedded into them. He picks one up to inspect it and confirms it was done by one of his experiments.
Stitch: Goocha!
Stitch alerted Jumba and when he looked he saw Hämsterviel laying on the floor on his side, it appeared as though he was thrown across the room away from the fusion chamber. Jumba approaches and checks to see if he's okay, he notices some scratches and bruises on his chest and face.
Jumba: He is alive but unconscious, I had better call Lilo.
Jumba takes out his global communicator and calls Lilo via video call.
Lilo: Hey Jumba, did you find what you were looking for?
Jumba: Eh, you could say that.
Jumba points his communicator at Hämsterviel and shows Lilo his lab and all the mess that he has made.
Jumba: I suspected he might have come here to hide but was not expecting this.
Lilo: Whoa, did Stitch do all that?
Jumba: N-no, 626 has been with me the entire time. Hämsterviel was already like this when we got here.
Stitch: Ih, maybe was cousin.
Lilo: It definitely looks that way but we haven't heard any reports of Stitch's cousins going missing, which one could it have been?
Meanwhile just outside the prison, Gantu sits in the deck of his ship staring out though windshield. He worried about Reuben and considered the possibility he helped Hämsterviel escape. This made him feel worse and wondered if Reuben would ever be released from prison. The thought of his last day in the prison with Reuben came up once again. He saw himself kneeling in and giving Reuben one last hug before he said goodbye.
Gantu: I'm sorry Reuben
Reuben: Wait you can't just leave me here alone, there's gotta be something you can do right Gantu?
Reuben: Right...
Armada Soldier: Captain, we have just gotten reports of Hämsterviel's capture.
Suddenly Gantu is snapped back into reality.
Armada Soldier: He is in custody and is being taken to Planet Turo to receive medical attention before being sentenced to questioning.
Gantu: Oh, I see. Very well, begin ordering everyone back to their posts. There's something I wanted to do before we leave.
UGF troops and ships gradually begin leaving the prison area as a lone police cruiser enters the vicinity. 626 sees the place swarming with ships but no one seems to notice him. He takes a look at his suit and sees the battery is at 80%, he figures he has enough and decides to put on the helmet to better conceal himself. 626 notices the parking garage to the prison is open as UGF ships exit the prison. He takes advantage of the situation and goes inside, once in he parks the ship close to the prison and steps outside. He looks around and spots an exhaust vent and crawls inside sneaking into the prison through the ventilation system.
Back at the lab, while Stitch is busy putting Hämsterviel into Jumba's ship, Jumba is still anxiously talking with Lilo.
Lilo: All of Stitch's cousins are accounted for including Leroy's clones, could Hämsterviel have created a new experiment?
Jumba: It's highly unlikely he would be able to create a new experiment in such a short amount of time.
Lilo: Well I'll let the Grand Councilwoman know to send an alert to watch out for anything.
Jumba signs off and is relieved he can keep the lie going a little while longer.
Jumba: ((Where could he have gone? What did Hämstervile do to keep him alive?))
Stitch: Meega pitcha, akootah
Jumba: Very well, let's get going.
Jumba and Stitch head back towards their ship as Jumba struggles to think what to do next. As far as he knows he is the only person who knows the true identity of that experiment and figures it can't be traced back to him. He's hopeful the experiment will be found before Hämsterviel wakes up.
Back at the Prison, 626 navigates the air vents trying to make his way towards Leroy's cell memorizing the layout of the prison to plan the escape route. He looks out through one of the vents and sees the entrance to the main prison.
He gets close but sees there are no vents that lead into the main prison, likely for security reasons. He notices UGF troops constantly leaving the main prison and sneaks inside while the door is open. He crawls up onto the ceiling as quick as he could hoping to not be seen. The cameras on the cieling are more fixated on the prisoners so he safely navigates the prison unseen looking for Leroy, he finally spots his cell and waits for an opportunity to approach.
Leroy sits inside his cell lying down on his bed face up staring at the ceiling. Suddenly he hears a thud and the glass door of his cell opening. He looks over at the door expecting more UGF troops to watch over him but sees what appears to be an experiment wearing a black and red suit. The design of the suit had Hämsterviel's handiwork written all over it, Leroy could tell it was made by him.
626: It's time to go cousin, quickly there isn't much time.
Leroy: Cousin? Wait so you weren't sent by Hämsterviel?
626: I'll explain once we've escaped, there's no time right now. Do you know where they're keeping your clones?
Leroy: Yeah they're in the main security room behind a huge vault. Good luck trying to get that thing open though, it's designed so none of us would be able to break it.
626: That won't be a problem, let's go
Leroy: Whoa hold on, if we're leaving we gotta break Reuben out too.
626: Oh that's right, there was two of you here wasn't there. Do you know where his cell is?
Leroy: Ih
Leroy and 626 crawled back onto the ceiling with Leroy leading the way as they made their way towards Reuben's cell.
Leroy: The yellow one, that's him. He can crawl on walls like us but isn't as good or as fast.
626 looks around and tries to come up with a plan, he turns up the dial on his suit slightly and Leroy takes note.
626: Ok, wait here and keep your eyes on the cameras, when you see the lights stop blinking go in and break Reuben out. Take him into the vent just outside of the main prison and I'll meet you there.
Leroy: Alright, I hope you know what you're doing, cousin.
626 exits the main prison and crawls back into the vents making his way towards the security room. With his charge still turned up slightly and having been memorizing the layout of the prison he quickly darts his way towards the security room. Once there he peeks in through the vent and spots the vault. He waits for an opportunity and breaks in.
Security Guard: Hey who's that?
Security Guard 2: Quick hit the ala...
Just before the guard could finish 626 rushes in and knocks him out, he looks at the other guard who reaches for the alarm and manages to strike him down before he does. Once both the guards are down he locks the door into the security room and jams it with one of the metal chairs. He walks towards the security camera control center and shuts off the cameras. Leroy sees the lights have stopped blinking and rushes towards Reuben.
626 finds the vault and tries forcing it open but can't, he turns up the charge over 50% and tries again. The nodes on his palms turn on and 626 struggles to force the vault open. He notices green sparks of electricity coming off of his hands onto the vault from where he's holding it, he found this strange but was beginning to get angry trying to force the vault open.
626: *pant* Man, he wasn't kidding. Alright time to put this thing to the test.
He turned up the dial even more up to 80% testing the limits of his new powers. He grabs the vault door again and pulls harder than before sending even more electricity around as he pulled. Even at 80% he had no luck, he began to growl in frustration pulling more and more. The door began to creak as he grew angrier, his feet started to dig into the floor. He remembers his cousins are waiting for him and gets angrier as he struggles to get the vault open.
626: Argh... DETAKAAAA!
626 turns the charge up to the max out of anger and his eyes and suit began to glow a bright green, his angry expression turned sinister and he tried pulling on the door once again. The hinges and locks on the vault screeched as he pulled on the door with all of his strength. His sinister smile turned angry again and he shouted one last time sending green electricity all around him. The door finally swung open with incredible force hitting the nearbywall nearly breaking a hole though it.
Nearby Prison Guard: Hey what in the world was that?
Prison Guard: Sounds like it came from the security room.
626: Tch, choota!
626 could hear the guards on the other side of the door, he grabbed the small cylinder container holding all of Leroy's dehydrated clones and quickly dashed into the vent.
He turned his charge back down again and saw he was at 62% battery. He made his way back towards where he came in from and saw his cousins there waiting for him.
Reuben: Whoa is that Hämsterviel?
Leroy: No, he said he's our cousin.
626: That's right, come on we don't have much time.
626 led the way back out towards the ship, he sees a shortcut but they need to get out of the vents to make it back to his ship. He notices the cameras are still offline and figures it's safe for them to sneak around the prison.
626: That door leads to the garage, come on we're almost out of here.
The three cousins step outside of the vents and make their way towards the exit. Prison Guards finally manage to blast open the security door and see the two security guards passed out on the floor. They see the vault door has been forced open.
Prison Guard: What the heck happened in here?
Prison Guard 2: Hey look the cameras were turned off.
The guard turns on the cameras and sees Leroy is no longer in his cell. He quickly skims though the rest of the monitors and sees the 3 experiments running towards the exit. He hits the alarm and grabs the intercom.
Intercom: Alert we have two escaped convicts headed towards the garage, all available troops report to the lobby immediately!
Gantu still sitting just outside the prison notices the alarm has been activated.
Gantu: Blitznak, that had better not be Reuben.
Inside the prison the cousins scramble for cover as they rethink their escape.
Reuben: Oh no, what are we gonna do?
Leroy: Choota, they'll be here any minute
626: Through there quick!
626 points them towards another door that should lead them to another exit, they run towards it but before they get there it opens. A group of prison guards ambush them and take aim, 626 and Leroy jump behind cover but Reuben isn't so quick and gets blasted by the guards. He is hit by multiple plasma blasts sending him flying and lands near the cousins as they watch in horror. Leroy starts to get angry seeing his best friend and the only person left he had in the prison get hurt like that, Reuben laid there still scorching and wasn't moving . Leroy's fists clenched and he began grinding his teeth unable to control himself. 626 sees this then looks at his palm and smiles. He turns up the charge on his suit once more until the node on his palm lit up again.
626: Don't worry cousin, I've got your back
Leroy looks back at 626 who is reaching his hand out him, Leroy grabs it and 626 tightens his grip. As he does the same green lightning from before starts to pass onto Leroy engulfing him and charging him up. His eyes slowly began to glow green and his voice became distorted just like 626's does. He finally lets go and the suit goes back to regular charge despite the gauge being turned up, 626 watches as Leroy gets angrier and angrier growling before finally looking back at the guards.
Leroy: MEEGA NALA KWEESTA!
Leroy shouts in with the distorted voice sending chills down the guard's spine as they see Leroy charging towards them. The guards take aim and begin firing at him but Leroy dodges them all with ease, he's significantly faster than before. Leroy rushes in and starts going berserk on the guards who shot Reuben showing no remorse in his state of bloodlust. More guards come in through other doors and Leroy quickly disposes of them too, 626 is mending Reuben and attaching the container holding Leroy's clones to him.
Prison Guard Radio: Leroy is too much for us, we'll have to retreat.
Security Guard: Where's that record we were told to play in case Leroy was ever planning an escape?
Security Guard 2: It's in the vault, quick play it over the intercom.
As Leroy continues his rampage suddenly the door to the garage is blasted open, UGF troops storm in with Gantu not too far behind them.
Gantu: So you were planning to escape all this time weren't you, where's Reuben.
Leroy hears Gantu say Reuben and stares right at him, Gantu aims his blaster at Leroy and Leroy simply smiles back and laughs. He gets on all fours and begins running towards the troopers, as he does the song "Aloha Oi" can be heard over the intercom. Leroy trips and starts short circuiting.
Gantu: Wait don't shoot, that won't be necessary.
626 watches as Leroy collapses on the floor and stops moving. He continues to hide behind cover and turns up his dial but the charge won't go up anymore. He looks back around the corner and sees guards swarming in as they approach Leroy.
626: Choota, what now.
He considered trying to activate the Leroy clones but figured the song would make them short circuit too. The rest of the guards enter the prison along with Gantu and they pick up Leroy's unconscious body. 626 begins to panic seeing both his cousins are down and he can no longer power up. Reality slowly starts to set in and he begins to accept his fate.
626: Forgive me brothers, I have failed you
626 feels something grabbing his leg and sees Reuben face down struggling to look up.
Reuben: H-hey it's fine, cuz... I-I'm just glad there was someone out there, who cared enough about us to, to want to break us out...
Reuben lets go of 626 and he passes out again. 626 sits there in defeat as he thinks of his cousins never getting to experience true freedom. He began to tear up as he awaited his fate then the suit started to glow green again, the dial was still set to the charge 626 left it on last and the suit begins to power up to that level. 626 lifts his head up and notices the lights on his palms are on again. One of the UGF troopers sees the light and approaches.
Trooper: Captain I found the other prisoner you were looking for, wait it looks like there's someone else with him.
Gantu: Don't shoot, you might hit Reuben! You there, come on out with your hands up, there's nowhere left to run.
626 checks the battery on his suit once more and sees it's at 34%, he thinks to himself for a sec before finally turning up the dial to the max. As soon as he does he smiles and vanishes.
Trooper: What, where'd he go?
Trooper 2: He moved so quick I could hardly see him.
Trooper 3: Up there!
626 is up on a wall looking out through the window planning his final escape, the guards shoot at him and once again he vanishes.
Gantu: Behind you!
One of the guards is suddenly hit and thrown towards a group of troopers knocking them down, 626 now holding Leroy quickly jumped and put him next to Reuben.
626: Wait here cousins, we'll be out of here shortly.
626 started to growl and the spines on his back began to pop out ripping thought he suit with lines of green electricity flowing through them. His extra arms come out too tearing holes though the suit.
626: My turn...
626 said in a distorted sinister voice, then without warning he lunged at the troopers and started going berserk similar to Leroy but more coordinated, he picked up four of of the trooper's high powered blasters and started shooting everyone in the room.
Gantu: Get down!
Gantu jumped behind cover and watched as one by one his troopers were swiftly being taken out. He tried to shoot at 626 but couldn't focus on him, out of nowhere a volley of plasma blasts begin to fire in Gantu's direction. He gets back into cover and when the shooting stops he peeks around the corner again but sees nothing but his troops scattered throughout the floor.
626: Looking for something?
Gantu turned around and saw 626 aiming 4 blaster cannons right at him.
Gantu: Oh... Blitznak
626 fires sending Gantu flying back into the prison. Gantu lies there trying to get up and looking around at all his troops, 626 turns the dial back down on his suit and casually walks back towards his cousins. He picks them both up and makes his way towards the exit.
Gantu: Wait, d-don't take him. If you do they'll lock him in prison for the rest of his life.
626 stops and turns up his dial again one last time.
626: Hmph, whether he's in here or serving someone else he's in prison, I'm finally setting him free.
626 kept on walking , Gantu sees a nearby blaster and grabs it.
Gantu: N-no, I won't let you take him!
Gantu shoots and 626 jumps doing a back flip while holding on to his cousins and lands behind Gantu. Gantu looks back and 626 kicks him towards the nearest wall and finally knocks him out. He exists the prison and sees the Big Red Battleship parked inside the garage with the door wide open. He walks inside and places his cousins down then makes his way towards the deck, he checks the battery on his suit again and sees it's at 13%. He sets the coordinates back to the lab before collapsing onto the floor.
