Sorry for the wait. I am rather ashamed that I didn't update my first three stories all this time but they were cliche stories. And the thing about stories about certain cliches. They are god damn hard to do it right. Especially neglect fit like this. I could probably write many chapters about some power fantasy but what I'm trying to do is not that. I am trying to write something actually good and it is harder than it looks. Especially when it doesn't turn out good. Rant over. Here's the newest chapter hope you guys like it. ENJOY!

CHAPTER 3

To live in a place like the Elemental Nations, where ninjas roamed the world, one would need to know how to read a person. To learn this skill you either had to grow fast or live a long life, so it was no surprise that Zelretch being a master at reading a person good enough to read someone like a good written novel. He had more than a few hundred of years under his belt after all.

So there was no way he couldn't not see the changes of Naruto, he had been watching him since his birth after all. So no change in Naruto's behavior could escape his attention.

Normally any time he gave his student a break, Zelretch would find him in his room in the cave or in one of the training areas. His student would just lay down and look at the ceiling with a lost look that held nothing, but Zelretch could see the feelings of his student from his eyes. They would held hurt, betrayal, sadness, anger and, in some of the rare occurrences, hate. It wouldn't take a genius to realize that his student was thinking about his biological family and the way they treated him.

During the years he had trained Naruto, Zelretch made sure that he knew that feeling anger was normal, however one should never let the anger and hatred control their actions or judgement. For that would only lead to a dark path filled with pain and misery, a path that was best to never walk. He also made sure that Naruto knew that he would be more than willing to talk with him if his student needed someone to talk about his problems, it was something that brought a little peace to Naruto but one could still see the sadness in his eyes every time he thought about his family.

So it was quite easy for Zelretch to notice the sudden change in behavior of his little student, since his student was lying on the floor not with sadness but with a little and calm smile that showed peacefulness. Which made Zelretch wonder what happened to his student after ending the training yesterday.

"You look pretty happy brat, care to share what got in such a good mood?" asked Zelretch with one of his eyebrows raised, getting the attention of the younger blonde, who just smiled at his trolling addict sensei before explaining the choice he had yesterday.

While the way his student had decided to sever his connections with his family was a bit disturbing, it was also a something that made Zelretch really proud. To no longer care about such things would let him mature and get stronger in an even faster rate. He knew that his student hadn't completely severed his emotions with his family and the scars he got from his days alone would never leave him completely alone, but even so his student showed a great maturity with leaving them rather than fighting them all the time.

"Well what do you know, you actually did something smart!" Zelretch said with such sincerity that Naruto didn't realized that he was mocked for a moment. When the real implications of what his sensei had said, a several tick marks appeared on his forehead and did the only thing one could actually do to Zelretch. Exploding on him with righteous fury.

"What does that supposed to mean you annoying blood sucker!?" yeah this was reaction common while Zelretch was close.

"Now don't get mad brat or I might not teach you about magecraft." If nothing else these words would definitely calm his student down. Which it did. Before he exploded with excitement.

"You are actually serious this time, right!?" He had been waiting for this for so long! Ever since he learned about his pseudo magic circuits!

"Yes brat, now calm down and read something while I can draw the circle." Zelretch dismissed his student, not realizing his students curious nature wouldn't leave him alone.

"What exactly is the circle for?"

"We are going to learn your Element and Origin."

This was the second most important thing about learning magecraft. The first being the magic circuits, as you could do jack shit without them after all.

Element was what a magus had an affinity for, most families shared Elements. Though just like Shinobi and their own affinities, a magus could learn magecraft that wasn't aligned with their element. Though it would take a long time and as most Magus was in a race for knowledge, they just stuck to their own element. Which is what made people with more than one Element valuable and Average Ones a literal goldmine for knowledge.

Origin was a bit more tricky. It was the core of the person. Something that defined what they were, their part in the root. It wasn't exactly something that influenced the magecraft, as long as it was different from the Element, but it showed a magus what they were. The direction they took in their magecraft and their life.

"Okay, we're ready brat, get in the circle."

Naruto sat down, giddy at the prospect of learning anything about magecraft. Maybe he could use jewel magecraft his teacher was quite good at. Maybe an elemental to the point of surpassing humanity. Or maybe even True Magic like Zelretch. He was so excited that he did not see the expression of shock on Zelretch's face, which disappeared a moment after and replaced with a clueless frown and then into his original impish face.

"We're finished brat."

Naruto jumped at his teachers words, a smile completely overtaking his face.

"What is it? Come on tell me!"

Zelretch was quite honestly amused by this side of his student. Since most of the time Naruto would either be stoic or just try to hit Zelrecth in meaningless anger, ungrateful brat. But it was nice to see that his student was still a child. A very complicated and messed up one, but a child none the less.

"Yeah yeah, calm down kid."

It was rather futile. Naruto had wanted to lean Magecraft for a long time. It would be something that would separate with not only his relatives, but also with anyone in this world. Something that would make him special.

"You have several elements, which is good as you can learn more now. They are fire, earth and as far as I can understand, destruction."

Naruto did not understand the last one. How could destruction be an element?

"I can see the confusion on your face brat."

Drat.

"You need to understand that element is not truly made out of… well, elements. They are affinities. Destruction means that you will have easier time to use magecraft to battle and attack your enemies."

That sounded awesome!

"So I will be super strong in battle!"

'Ahh the naivety of youth.' The Wizard Marshall could only sigh at his students naive way of thinking.

"No. It simply means that you will find it easier to use magecraft in battle. That does not simply make you super strong."

Before Naruto could do anything else his teacher brought out a very large book.

"Here is a book on runes. Learn them and I will test you in a week. They are one of the few magecraft that you can use regardless of your element. I will teach you how to use them after you learn which is which."

Zelretch declared with a superman pose, feeling like an awesome teacher. Though his student was too busy with the new source of knowledge he had obtained to comment on it. Or the fact that Zelretch did not tell him about his Origin. But that wasn't important to Zelretch for one reason, the brat was ignoring him! How dare he! So the Wizard Marshall did the mature thing to do and kicked his apprentice. Sending him to the wall of the room, flying.

"Not here, stupid student!" The Wizard Marshall yelled to his student with a comically giant head.

"You have academy in two days and you should be seen around the village a bit more. No reason to make people suspicious yet."

While Naruto didn't think anyone would get suspicious because of his absence, Zelretch had taught him that assuming was a very good way to make an ass out of himself. But there was one problem that was making no sense.

"Why did you call me here if you were just going to send me back?" Seriously, there couldn't be any logical reason to it. But Naruto forgot about one thing…

"Because I could!" His teacher did not care about logic. And proved that by screaming out proudly. No wonder he was the sole student of his that hadn't lost his mind in a few days.

So he just left, not seeing the serious expression on Zelretch's face. And the vampire had some serious questions. His student's Origin was unsettling, but not as much as what else he found out. Shinigami better had some answers on what the hell he had found in Naruto. Because Zelretch was sure that the Blank Card did not have anything that would give his student that in it.

Training Ground 44, as known as the Forest of Death. Though calling it a 'training ground' wasn't exactly accurate since no shinobi would use the dangerous place for training. Therefore it was mostly used as test a test ground for Chuunin Exams. But there was one person who actually used the forest for training, and to blow off some steam. Uzumaki Naruto had always found the forest to be intimidating but it also brought out certain instincts in him. He knew that the forest was simply too dangerous to train in. But whenever he came in, he felt calm. Not even Zelretch's training could truly help him with forgetting his rage and hatred for his family. Even if he decided to let go, he still hated them deep down. But being in the forest, fighting the giant animals in it, it calmed him down. How ironic that he felt peace and serenity only when he was in battle.

This was also one of the reasons he didn't like Namikazes. Their obsession with peace. He didn't believe humans were creatures of peace, Zelretch's shows of history confirmed that. And the calmness he felt during his fights against these animals made their wish for a world without conflict a truly bizarre concept for him. He had these thoughts in his head as he sliced a giant cats throat with his kana and hit another one with a palm strike.

Kasha, in legends it is a cat demon that eats corpses. In Konoha, it is one of the stronger creatures in the Forest of Death. A panther that was averagely ten meters from tail tip to nose and weighing around eight hundred kilograms to a ton, with claws and fangs strong as steel. Very few in the forest would challenge these big cats. Naruto was one of those few. With his strength and speed being far beyond his peers, he could match Kashas without much difficulty. And to him, it was nothing more than a simple training exercise. Kashas were strong but they had no true skills compared to shinobis. They were dangerous only because of their physical abilities, in his mind anyone could defeat these creatures with few simple plans and chuunin class physical strength.

As he thought that he used another palm strike on the top of another Kasha's neck, causing a very loud cracking noise. His third and last kill of the day. He could probably try to study the runes Zelretch gave him a bit more but he felt like that he would be doing it only for the sake of being done with it. He wanted to do something else before going back to Academy. And he knew exactly what he wanted to do. Something that would close the remaining gap between him and his siblings have in advantages.

A summon.

Kuchiyose no Jutsu. A space time ninjutsu that can be used by almost anyone. All one needed was to sign the contract of their summon. But there was one other use this jutsu had. Using it without contract would work as a reverse summoning and send the user to the summon realm they were more suited to. The reason most didn't do that is because there was a chance that the summons might not accept them. It doesn't matter if you are suited to them if one was not worthy in their eyes. Not that such outcome was in Naruto's mind for even a second. He would get a summoning contract or die trying. And he didn't feel like dying today.

Boar—Dog—Bird—Monkey—Ram

"Kuchiyose no Jutsu!"

And he disappeared with a cloud of smoke.

Not noticing the burn marks around where he stood.

Then he appeared with another cloud of smoke. As he looked around he realized that he was in another forest, even though this one did not have the unnatural feel of the Training Ground 44. This one felt just as dangerous but the nature itself also felt more… natural.

As he walked around he tried to figure out exactly what kind of summons could be living in this place. He knew that it wasn't toads, snakes or slugs. Jiraiya had told about those places to him and his siblings when he was a child and none of them were described like this. The closest one, Shikkotsu Forest was described as an overly humid forest with bones of many giant animals in it. This forests air was humid but not overly so and there wasn't any bones, let alone giant ones.

There were only trees, grass, bushes, a little cat, small ponds, blue skies… wait a second!

He looked back and realized that he wasn't imagining things. There was a small cat sleeping under the trees shadow. Though it did wake up when he got closer to it. It was actually disappointing. The cat wasn't anything impressive. A simple orange ball of fur with faint stripes. He was hoping for a summon that could fight against other boss summons, beings that could destroy armies in right circumstances. That kind of giant animals was what he was looking for. Disappointed he turned around to explore the forest, in hopes that he could at least find something interested or at least their government. Only to come face to face with giant fangs.

What was front of him looked just like the little cat but, much bigger. Even bigger than Kashas! As a matter of fact this thing should be around almost twice the size of the biggest Kasha he had ever seen, which was fifteen meters!

He wasn't in a realm of cats.

"ROOOOOAAAAR!"

He was in a realm of tigers!

Zelretch finally managed to come to his destination. The gap between the realities, a place that would have disassembled his atoms if he wasn't a master of the Second Magic. Serious dangerous place where his object of irritation resided.

"Corpse face, we need to talk." For the first time Zelretch had no interest in fun. He wanted answers, and he was here to get them.

Shinigami didn't look too impressed by Zelretch's new nickname for him. Though you could ever tell with him. His gold eyes in black sclera rested on Zelretch as he thought if getting help from this guy was actually worth it. In the end he decided that it was and waved his hand, causing two leather armchairs.

"Then let us talk, Zelretch." The embodiment of the concept of death sit down at one of the chairs and a pot with two cups appeared in front of him. "Tea?"

Zelretch wasn't exactly impressed by the being trying to be funny but he never dished out anything he couldn't take so it was no problem. Though actually there was one problem.

"I don't drink tea." Shinigami didn't look impressed.

"What do you drink then?"

"Not tea." With a sigh the living concept waved his hand once again, turning Zelretch's cup of tea into a big mug of beer.

"Will that suffice?" He asked, looking tired, and Zelrecth nodded with a big grin. He might not be able to get drunk anymore as a master of Second Magic and a Dead Apostle Ancestor, but he still liked the small things in life. Just like with magical girls!

"Tell me what is it that you wanted to speak of, Zelretch."

"Ok, what the hell did you do to my student?"

Shinigami had a small smile on his face, what Zelretch was talking about was something he was quite proud of and the fact Zelretch had figured out that he did do something this soon made it clear that the old vampire was the right choice as Naruto's teacher.

"Please elaborate, I did lot of things about young Naruto."

"So it is because of your machinations that his family neglects him." Zelretch stated. He always had the suspicion but one could never be sure when it comes to high beings like Shinigami.

"Yes, but actually no." The living concept of death smiled at Zelretch's confused frown.

"Kami, Yami and I might be beings of unimaginable power to mortals but we have rules too. Making someone magically think the way we want them to think is not something we can do as gods." He waved his hands, creating several disks and making them float above one another.

"Being a god does not mean you can do anything you want. Even us, living concepts, have to abide by certain rules. Put in place by the closest thing people of your world believes to be the biblical god. A being that cares about free will. Even if we're summoned, we can't just change the way they think. I simply multiplied their thoughts about certain things and divided their worry and care about Naruto. I used what was already in there. And even that is about to end soon. They will probably be back to normal concerning Naruto in a year or two, probably around his graduation. They only need someone to point them at Naruto's direction."

Zelretch could only frown at that. What Shinigami said meant that Naruto would have been neglected anyway but he made it worse. To the point where Naruto would trust a complete stranger as long as they told him what he wanted to hear. He didn't like this, he would never admit but he loved the brat. The thought of Shinigami trying to use him brought a foul taste to his mouth.

"Then couldn't Kami and Yami do the same thing?"

"In a way, they already do." Shinigami smiled a nasty smile. "I am the only one that can be summoned, therefore I am the only one that can cause major changes to the mortals but that does not mean they don't have their own influence. A branch or a rock that would trip you to a secret place of power or a small guest of wind that might turn them towards something they have been searching. They can cause small things like these to affect the mortal world. They choose those that are likely to work towards their goals and cause small things to help them. But none of us can simply control mortals." The living concept finished explaining the nature of his siblings. The way they operated for all these years. Even with their childlike minds, neither would ever break the rule of free will. Even he wouldn't dare to do what he did if he did not have the advantage of Shiki Fuujin.

Zelretch took a few moments to process what he learned. He was definitely happy to learn that these guys couldn't just control them as Shinigami with his twisted morals was the only one of them that could be considered good. The other two were simply breaking humans for their pissing contest after all. But this wasn't what he came to learn today.

"Did you have anything to do with Naruto's Origin?" The Shinigami only raised a brow at that. Looking at Zelretch like he was a moron.

"I am flattered but no. I do not have the power to influence the Root, forge of all creation. No one does. What is his Origin anyway?" Zelrecth grimaced at that.

"Fighter." Shinigami understood why Zelretch wasn't happy with his student having such an Origin. While something like 'Warrior' or other such Origins would make him suited to fight for a certain ideal and protecting other, 'Fighter' was different. People who were suitable for that Origin were the kind of people who could be obsessed with their cause but more importantly, they were the kind of people who couldn't truly become a part of peace.

Uchiha Madara and Eren Jeager were such people.

"That might complicate things but as long as you make sure he doesn't just go insane it should be no problem." Zelretch nodded at that, though still not happy about it. But…

"That is not all." He stated while glaring at Shinigami who looked puzzled.

"Why does Naruto have divinity?" At that realization dawned on the living concepts face and he smirked.

"So you know it."

"It turned out while I was testing his Origin and Element. It's very small but he definitely has it. Question is why?"

Shinigami let his cup of tea down, which disappeared before it could contact the floor.

"I used the reincarnation system of course." He admitted. "Having the power of a deity will serve him well after all."

Zelretch could only look shocked at that. "You put the soul of a GOD in him?! That can kill him!" His voice was raising as he continued speaking, finally ending his sentence with a shout.

"Fortunately, Ashura and Indra's chakras made sure that wouldn't happen." Shinigami smirked at Zelretch confusion.

"Contrary to what most believe, those two don't reincarnate. Their will are passed through their chair in the transmigration system. And contrary to another belief their chakra can be passed to someone not related to them. They simply choose not to, but I made sure that both of their chakras are Naruto's now. With such chakra he can carry the soul of a god when it truly awakens." Shinigami explained his plan, which had calmed Zelretch down a bit. Though that did raise a question.

"Does that mean Naruto might awaken Rinnegan?" To which Shinigami shook his head.

"No. Madara got it only because his chakra was Indra's and Hashirama's cell he implanted on himself had Ashura's chakra. In Naruto's case, he has divinity inside him, the end result will be different. The most likely scenario is him getting some kind of advanced mode like his counterparts Kyuubi Chakra Mode." Shinigami explained. This was one of the reason he had no issues with using Ashura and Indra's chakra, the divinity inside Naruto would make sure his power wouldn't be connected to Hagoromo's stupid family.

Zelretch was frowning, that was why he didn't like higher beings like Shinigami, they made him frown all the time. Though this conversation had still one question.

"Which god was it?"

The living concept of Death smirked at Zelretch and opened his mouth…

Naruto probably should have thought a lot more before trying to get a summon. After the giant tiger stopped roaring, he demanded Naruto to follow him. He didn't like it but he still had survival instincts. The tiger was too big fro him to defeat, for now.

The tiger, who had introduced himself as Rajah, had taken him to what could be considered as a palace. Though it looked more like the ruins of one, all the walls cracked and the ceiling gone. The most intriguing part was definitely the tigers around though. Most of them smaller than Rajah though there were a few just as big and one even bigger.

The bigger one was laying on some kind of altar and as far as he could see, this one was a boss class summon Bigger than most buildings he had seen. Though there were a few smaller tigers around him and those had, for some reason, blue fur.

"They are Maltese tigers." The boss tiger rumbled from his position. Naruto's cheeks gained some color when he realized that he had been staring for too long.

"They aren't actually summon animals like my tribe." The boss continued. "But in the past they were believed to be good luck so your Daimyos had hunted them for a few decades. Of course they have no such power but I did not like the way human disrespected those tigers so I offered to sanctuary." The giant feline finished as he remembered the old days.

"I admit that it's a surprise to see a human in our lands. I am Maoz, the leader of the tiger clan. Who are you, cub?"

"I am Naruto." He answered, not liking being called a 'cub'.

"And what is your purpose is here, young Naruto?" Maoz asked. His eyes looking like it was seeing through Naruto, which caused the young blond to gulp. He took a deep breath and reminded himself that he survived dealing with Zelretch on a daily basis, this should not be any harder.

"I am here to make a contract." He said with conviction.

Maoz closed his eyes for a few seconds before letting out a breath.

"Very well." And then his tail went to the stall next to him and brought it to Naruto, who was shocked.

"Just like that?" He had expected much more than that. Like some epic fight. Maoz sighed once more before speaking.

"No. This is a temporary contract." He took a breath before continuing. "You are still young and I can see that you have potential, therefore I am giving you a chance. In three years, you will be tested if you are worthy. Until then, you can consider this a testing period slash training time for you." The boss tiger explained it to Naruto who, while a bit miffed at not being a true contractor, did not see a problem with that.

"What will be the test?" Naruto enquired.

"Combat." Rajah answered from behind him. "And for your sake, I hope you pass it." He finished with a grin, showing his fangs.

Naruto could only nod at that and bit his thumb. Using it as a make shift brush to write his name on the scroll. When he finished, his body was engulfed in smoke and he was sent back to Konoha.

OK. This took a lot out of me, no lies. But feels good to finally update this. As you all have seen I made some reveals about Naruto and Shinigami. Putting rules and making sure that they weren't completely controlling everything. That was the one thing I didn't like about 'Naruto of Chaos'. Now please guess which gods soul Naruto has. Those that do correctly will have some say about where the plot will go. Well more than normal readers. And one question, shall we have a Satsuki in this pic like the original 'Naruto of Chaos, if we shall, shall she be Sasuke's sister or a fem Sasuke? Lastly please sent me your ideas for teams. Cause I am a bit stuck on that. So please tell me how you want the teams. Which sensei and shall the teams remain as three man cell or become four man cell?

Anyway, hope you enjoyed it. Please follow, favorite and REVIEW!
