Hello all Storm here with a new chapter! Here we'll be seeing Naruto, Magik, and Raven's time outside of Konoha, along with seeing a certain warhawk making plans back in Konoha. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
Sitting in his base underneath Konoha, Danzō Shimura was feeling less than pleased as he read over the latest report from his agents monitoring the Kyūbi Jinchūriki, one that he received three days ago. Something the warhawk has been doing more actively, since learning that the weapon had met with, and was being trained by, two foreign girls.
When he'd learned this, he began going through all the possible reasons for who these girls were, and what their purpose was. Unable to see if they were spies, sleeper agents, infiltrators, or if they were meant to get close to the Jinchūriki and make it defect from Konoha. No matter what the reason was, Danzō had his ROOT Anbu begin watching them more closely, but making sure they stayed at a distance to avoid being sensed or located.
Only being all the more convinced they were spies, meant to gain the loyalty of the Jinchūriki, after learning about the strange abilities they seemed to possess. Believing these girls were sent specifically to seduce the Jinchūriki to create powerful offspring, as well as getting it to defect to whatever village they came from. Something Danzō refused to let happen, while knowing his old friend/rival Hiruzen would never be able to do what's necessary to ensure the weapon remained loyal to Konoha. Unfortunately, he also couldn't just grab the three of them, knowing the Sandaime would immediately suspect that he was behind it.
Luckily, Danzō got the perfect opportunity to grab the three children, after learning that the weapon's landlord had employed a foreign Ninja Team to kill them, after antagonizing them. With this not only giving the warhawk the chance to grab them, but also a useful scapegoat to pin the blame on, both the landlord and whichever village he employed the Ninja from.
After learning which team he hired, Danzō had his agents dispose of the team and take their places, with their orders being to capture the weapon and the spies. Then kill the landlord, while planting evidence of what the landlord did to point at him and Amegakure. A simple plan that had no way of failing, and yet somehow that's exactly what happened.
Danzō wasn't sure on the exact details, only that his agents and the landlord were killed and the bodies disposed of, while the weapon and the girls had vanished. While the boy was still inside the village, the girls were nowhere in sight, meaning the Jinchūriki left a clone in his place while the three of them left the village. Something, Danzō couldn't even reveal to be able to hunt them down and capture, not without exposing himself and how he knew this.
So, as much as he didn't like it, his hands were tied at the moment until they returned for the finals, fully knowing the boy wouldn't go back on his word to avenge the Hyūga girl. A foolish sentimentality, and only proved Danzō right that emotions are a weakness for Shinobi to have. Since, if the boy was smart, he wouldn't set foot back into Konoha and keep running.
'But as he's proven before, the Jinchūriki thinks more with his emotions than with his mind. And when he returns, he'll be turned into a proper weapon loyal only to Konoha.' Danzō thought, refusing to standby now after this blatant treason, knowing if something wasn't done, then Konoha will lose the Kyūbi.
Even better, that he'll be able to take care of multiple problems at once during the finals.
"Torune! Fū! Locate Orochimaru and tell him his presence is required, and that it's not a request." Danzō ordered, not even needing to look to know that his two guards had already left to fulfill their orders.
He was aware of Orochimaru's planned invasion and his alliance with Suna, along with how the Sannin was hiding within Konoha, but didn't say anything about it given the benefits he'd reap afterwards. With the invasion, it'd not only provide him a chance to become Hokage, after Orochimaru kills Hiruzen; something that's admittedly regrettable, given his rivals strength despite his age. But also necessary due to his refusal to do what needs to be done, always preferring the peaceful and weak option.
Which would in turn give Danzō the opportunity to attack Suna and remind the nations why Konoha is the strongest village. With the attack giving them the chance to take Suna's secrets for their own, as well as extract the Ichibi from their own Jinchūriki and place it in a Ninja loyal to Konoha and Danzō, himself. Then the rest will begin falling into place, as they deal with the other villages and capture their Bijū as well, until Konoha was the undisputed power in the world.
Though with these recent events, Danzō had to make some slight alterations to his plan, namely ensuring that Hiruzen does die during the invasion. And also taking out Orochimaru as well, ensuring he'll be seen as a hero for killing the Snake Sannin; making it easier for him to become Hokage.
As for the Kyūbi and those girls, the Jinchūriki will be shown its place, while the girls will be interrogated for anything that they know, then used to create a new breed of Ninja with their powers.
'No matter what, Konoha will be standing at the top.' Danzō thought, assured everything will play out as he envisioned it would, and he'd soon have the entire world under his control.
*With Naruto, Raven, and Magik*
Meanwhile, Naruto, Raven, and Illyana has resumed the whiskered blonde's training after they made it out of Konoha. Along with taking a few moments for Naruto and Raven to come to terms with the fact they actually killed people. Even if they'd been planning to kill them, it still shook both of them to have taken human lives. While Magik wasn't as affected, thanks to her time in Limbo making her use to the idea of killing, with the mutant merely comforting her friends.
Afterwards, they kept moving, wanting to get some distance away from Konoha to avoid being found and taken back. Once that was done, the three had setup a makeshift campsite before they resumed Naruto's training the next day; with the addition of Naruto also learning from the Forbidden Scroll. The most useful of which being when he read the part about Shadow Clones, learning that not only did they create physical copies, anything the clones learned was also transferred back to the original.
Something that excited Naruto, especially with how many clones he could create, only for Magik and Raven to stop him before he could try it. Both girls admitting that Shadow Clones would be able to help him with his training, there was also the chance that making too many of them could be more harmful. Given all the memories that'd come rushing back to Naruto could potentially damage him mentally.
Though they did agree to let Naruto use Shadow Clones to get more training done, they set a limit of no more than twenty-five. Which, while not a lot, still gave Naruto an advantage; given how much time they still had until the finals, to become even stronger.
With the clones being split into groups of five each, with one group working on Chakra Control and meditation, the second working on Taijutsu, the third working on Genjutsu, the fourth working on Ninjutsu, and the fifth working on magic and recreating Raven and Magik's abilities. While the real Naruto continued to do his physical exercises, something that didn't transfer back from clones.
And after three days, Naruto's begun improving even more than he was before, with Illyana and Raven believing that he should take another step in his training.
"Naruto, Raven and I believe that you should speak with the Kyūbi inside of you. To see if the both of you can come to an understanding to work together." Said Magik, while they took a break from training, making Naruto look at her with a frown.
"Why would I try to work with the fox?" Naruto asked, not really interested in talking to, let alone working with, the Kyūbi; given it's the entire reason he was hated.
"We know how you feel, but if the Kyūbi is as powerful as you say it is, and you could potentially use that power, wouldn't it be better to work with the Kyūbi than ignore it. At the very least, being able to use its power as a last resort." Said Raven, with Naruto's frown deepening, since he couldn't deny that logic.
"At the very least, speak with the fox to see if it'd be willing. If it is, then you'll have access to a new power. If not, then nothing will change and we can continue as we've been doing." Illyana suggested since Naruto could at least speak with the Kyūbi, the Uzumaki sighing before nodding.
"Fine, I'll talk to the Kyūbi. But how am I supposed to do that?" Questioned Naruto, not sure how he's supposed to talk to the Kyūbi.
"You'll have to enter your mindscape, the physical representation of your mind. I've done it before, so I can help you. Thankfully though, it's a lot like meditating, you just sit and focus on entering your mindscape." Raven replied as they sat across from each other in meditative stances, before closing their eyes and focusing.
Naruto focused on his mindscape and the Kyūbi sealed inside of him. What it'd look like, how the seal would appear, before he soon felt his conscious slipping away.
*Mindscape*
When Naruto opened his eyes again, he was surprised when he suddenly found himself standing in front of a large cage; held closed by a piece of paper with the kanji for "seal" on it. Though confusingly, there was also the presence of five other glowing purple kanji surrounded by purple flames surrounding it.
"What the hell is that?" Naruto said in confusion at what those symbols were, and why they were in front of the cage, before his eyes widened at remembering what happened in the Forest of Death.
When Orochimaru grabbed him and slammed his hand into his stomach, right where the Eight Trigrams Seal was.
"Is that what he did, he put this seal on me? Is that why my Chakra was messed up, during the preliminaries and when Ebisu was training me?" Said Naruto, looking at the Five Pronged Seal, before tensing when he heard a growl coming from the cage.
"You're surprisingly right for once, runt. That snake put this seal here to block your connection to my Chakra, leaving me even further trapped in this damn cage, as well as messing up your already poor control." Kyūbi said as it stepped out into the light from the darkness of the cage, trying to push its claws out between the bars, only for the Five Pronged Seal to stop it
Naruto gulped as he stood before the Kyūbi, for once seeing just how massive the fox really was, before he shook off his fear and looked up at the fox.
"I'm here to-" Naruto said only to be cutoff.
"I know why you're here! This seal keeps my Chakra inside, but that doesn't mean I still can't see and hear what's happening around you. You're here to see if I'd be willing to work with you and let you use my Chakra. And all I have to say to that is this, what reason would I ever have to work with a human?" Demanded Kyūbi while glaring down at Naruto.
"I…I don't know. I don't really have anything to offer, since I'm not letting you out if it'd kill me." Replied Naruto, not really thinking of anything he could offer the Kyūbi, that'd convince the fox to work with him.
"Tsk, at least you're honest, unlike the rest of your kind." Kyūbi stated, seeing Naruto didn't bother making empty promises or offerings in exchange for its power.
"Okay, then what exactly do you want? Given that you're at least talking to me right now, means you at least are considering the chance of working together." Naruto said, since if the Bijū was going to reject the offer, it would have so by now, or not even bother speaking to him.
"Maybe, I still haven't heard how I'd benefit in this agreement." Said Kyūbi, much to Naruto's annoyance.
"And I still haven't heard you ask for anything." Naruto retorted, not wanting to waste time, if they were just going to keep going back and forth.
"Hmph, you try being sealed away for over half a century with nothing to do, over twenty of which being chained to a giant boulder; and then tell me, if you wouldn't try to find entertainment whenever you can." Kyūbi said, having been stuck for several decades, sealed away with nothing to do.
"But I suppose I could give you the privilege of using my power, if only to remind everyone that even when sealed away, I'm still the strongest thing on this planet." Stated Kyūbi, surprising Naruto that the fox would just agree to work with him.
"Just like that? You aren't just tricking me, or something?" Naruto asked with narrowed eyes, making the Kyūbi growl and glare at him.
"No, because unlike you humans, I have no reason for lies and deception. Something I'm sure you're more than familiar with, now." Kyūbi retorted, having never seen a need to lie or deceive anyone, given it has no reason to.
"…Fine. I guess I'll see if Raven and Illyana could remove this seal." Said Naruto, motioning to the Five Pronged Seal, only for the Kyūbi to shake its head.
"Leave it, while it may block you from using my Chakra and mess up your own, it'd also be beneficial to your training, if you work on your Chakra Control and train to overcome it. And I said I'd be willing to let you use my power, not rely on it like a crutch. You want my power, then I'll let you use it, but only when you need it; but don't expect me to save your sorry ass, every time. If you aren't strong enough to solve your problems yourself, then you aren't even worthy to use my power." Kyūbi said, refusing to become a crutch that Naruto will lean on, every time things get difficult.
If he wants to be able to use its power, then he'll prove it first by showing his own strength.
"I'm not, as long as you actually agree to let me train to use your power, for when I'd need it." Replied Naruto, not wanting to become reliant one thing, since that'd just leave him helpless if he lost it.
"Like I said, I don't rely on lies and deception like humans. And be grateful I'm agreeing at all, if you were still the same loudmouth brat, I'd be trying to kill you instead. Though you still are a loudmouth brat, at least now you're starting to see what that village is really like, that you've always been nothing but a tool and a weapon." Stated Kyūbi, pleased that its host wasn't blindly loyal to Konoha anymore, that he's now seeing it for what it really is, with Naruto glaring at the Kyūbi.
While his faith in Konoha is shaken with all the secrets he's learned, it was still his home.
"That's not true! Konoha is my home, and even if there are those that don't like me, I still have people I care about there!" Retorted Naruto, which only made the Kyūbi growl in annoyance.
"Like whom?! Besides those humans at that ramen stand, and those three brats that follow you around, name one person in that damn village that has fully supported you?! To be honest with you, and never once tried deceiving you?! Go on, name one?!" Kyūbi demanded, angry that even now he was still loyal to Konoha.
Naruto tried thinking of a name, only to freeze when he couldn't think of anyone that hasn't done any of those things. The old man lied to him about his parents and having godparents, his own godfather doesn't care about him, his godmother wanted to take him in but she was blocked and is dead now, his former classmates never really supported him. Even his own team, while getting closer since the Wave Mission, still didn't fully support him. While even Iruka used to hate him and see him as a monster, before that incident with those Taki Kunoichi.
"You can't, can you? That's because you've just been lying to yourself, refusing to accept the truth, that no one cares. Not your sensei, not your teammates, not the Hokage, no one! To them, you're either the deadlast, a no-name orphan, or a troublemaker; and to the rest of the village, you're a monster or a weapon. And it doesn't matter what you do, how hard you try, you will always be a monster. You could save them from utter destruction and it still wouldn't change anything. Even if by some miracle they did "accept" you, it'd only be because of what you could do for them, and the instant you don't meet their expectations and standards, they'll go right back to hating you. Because that is the way humans are, hating or fearing what they don't understand and can't control, while only caring so long as you prove yourself useful. And you wanna know the best part, being a Jinchūriki is just an easy excuse for humans to hate someone. Those villagers you want to earn the respect of so much, hate anything and anyone not from Konoha, even a foreigner who moves to the village and becomes a Ninja would be hated. Hell, they'll even hate and ostracize their own comrades and war heroes, if they do something that they don't like; such as valuing the lives of their comrades, over the success of a mission. Despite what that sensei of yours had told you, about how one should value the lives of their comrades over the sake of the mission; and in fact, he should know that more than anyone. They can preach about valuing comrades and their precious "Will of Fire" as much as they want, but in the end they're all the same. Go ahead, try and tell me I'm wrong, I dare you." Kyūbi said, looking down at Naruto, who could only glare up at the fox while shaking at everything it just said.
"We're done." Naruto retorted, before leaving the mindscape, with Kyūbi shaking its head.
"Deny it all you want runt, but eventually you'll be forced to accept the truth." Stated Kyūbi, knowing from experience what humans are like, before the fox glanced at one of the dark corners where it saw something moving in the shadows.
'And it seems that someone's getting an early wakeup call.' Kyūbi thought while smirking, before a pair of red and black eyes opened up from the darkness.
*Real World*
Opening his eyes, Naruto stood up with a scowl, getting the attention of Raven and Magik.
"What happened? Did the Kyūbi refuse the offer to work together?" Raven asked, guessing the fox rejected the offer and did something to upset Naruto.
"No, the bastard fox agreed, it just wouldn't stop making up a bunch of lies to piss me off." Said Naruto, angry at what the Kyūbi said.
"What did it say?" Questioned Illyana, wondering what the Bijū could have said to upset Naruto this much.
With Naruto telling the girls everything the Kyūbi said about him and about Konoha, how they'd never trust him or care about him, that they'd only ever see him as a monster or a weapon.
"I had to leave before I said anything, but that bastard doesn't know what he's talking about! Sure things aren't great, but I just have to keep trying until the villagers finally start accepting me!" Naruto said, believing he just needed to keep trying and eventually he'll be accepted, only to see Illyana and Raven were strangely quiet.
"Uh, Naruto…I don't mean to upset you, but I have to agree with the fox." Said Magik, much to Naruto's disbelief, even more so when Raven nodded in agreement.
"I have to agree too, since while it could have been nicer, the Kyūbi does make some good points." Raven added, both of them seeing where the Kyūbi was coming from and what it meant.
"B-but how could you say that?! Yeah, Konoha isn't perfect, but it's my home and I want to earn the recognition of the villagers to be seen as me!" Naruto argued, not expecting them to agree with the Kyūbi.
"That's the problem, you shouldn't have to work to earn anything. I told you back on my planet how mutants were looked down on my humans; but it wasn't just them, it was everyone who was different, even other heroes. Before I went to Limbo, I learned about other heroes, many who were treated with mistrust, despite the good they do. Along with one, who was even hunted down to be captured and experimented on, simply for possessing a power he never asked for; forcing him to run away from his life. While yes, there were those that loved and admired the heroes of my world, there were always those that hated and feared them for their power. Even for something as simple as wearing a mask to hide their identity, no matter what they did." Illyana explained, knowing of several heroes that, despite the good they did, were still hated and feared by people.
"While I don't know a lot about the heroes from my Earth, I know that some of them were treated the same way with how powerful they are. And I don't need to tell you again, how I was seen and treated because of my heritage." Said Raven, having heard of how some of her own Earth's heroes were seen and treated; whether from working outside the law or because of their power.
Naruto was rendered silent again at their words, trying desperately to think of something he could say in defense of Konoha and the villagers. But once again, he couldn't think of anything, as the more he thought about their words, the more he began seeing they were right; as much as he didn't want to admit it.
"M-maybe we should think of moving to a different location, soon. I was thinking we could go to the Land of Waves to get some new clothes to better avoid being found or spotted, and I could even grab Zabuza's sword so I could start learning to use one." Said Naruto, deciding to push those thoughts and feelings aside, and instead focus on his training.
Raven and Magik nodded in response, not saying anything else, knowing that Naruto desperately wanted to believe that he could still earn the villagers' recognition. Despite believing he shouldn't need to earn anything, when he's hated and feared for something out of his control. They just hoped he'd start seeing the truth, before something happens to completely destroy him.
*Timeskip-Five Days*
Five days have passed since the trio made their way to the Land of Waves, with them arriving the next day, where Naruto was surprised when they arrived at Tazuna's bridge. All three being surprised, when they saw it was called the Great Naruto Bridge. Something that really surprised Naruto, that they named the bridge after him, when he felt he didn't do much during the mission.
With the three wearing cloaks to avoid drawing attention, given Raven's and Illyana's unique appearances, and that Naruto would very likely be recognized. And while he'd like the chance to visit Tazuna, Tsunami, and Inari, he didn't want to risk word getting back to Konoha of them being here.
So, the three had gone to a clothing store to buy some new outfits before heading to Zabuza and Haku's graves, where Naruto paid his respects before taking the Kubikiribōchō. With them then setting up camp again; ironically enough, inside Gatō's abandoned base, which gave them plenty of privacy and less chances of being found.
The three having then resumed Naruto's training, but with the addition of Illyana teaching him how to wield a sword. Which was rather easy, due to the similar size and shape of her Soulsword and the Kubikiribōchō. Allowing her to teach Naruto the style she uses, rather than learning a completely different style. Naruto also told them about the Five Pronged Seal, which they took a look at and agreed they could break it, when Naruto wanted it gone.
The trio was also now wearing their new attire as well.
With Raven wearing a royal blue blouse, a navy blue jacket, a pleated, navy blue mini skirt, matching fingerless gloves, and black boots.
Magik was wearing black heeled boots that went up to her thighs, black short shorts, a grey shirt, a black leather jacket, and a black fingerless glove on her right hand.
And Naruto was wearing blue-grey shoes with red soles, blue-grey pants with silver armored kneepads and two dark blue straps around both legs, a blue-grey shirt, a red hooded vest, and a brown strap going diagonally across his chest to hold the Kubikiribōchō.
With Naruto silently admitting that Illyana and Raven both looked really pretty in their new clothes, though he was confused by how they looked at him after seeing him, before looking away with red faces.
After a while, the three soon stopped and sat down to take a break.
"You've certainly come a long way in your training, Naruto. Even more so, after you learned about Shadow Clones transferring memories back to the original." Raven stated, knowing Naruto's gotten much stronger during their training and would be more than prepared for the finals, with Illyana nodding in agreement.
"Agreed, by the time the finals begin, you will be more than ready to defeat the rest of the competition and emerge the victor." Added Magik, with Naruto nodding in thanks at their words.
While originally he only cared about beating Neji and keeping his promise to Hinata, after everything he learned and everything that old pervert said about him, Naruto fully intended to win the finals. Not only to show everyone how far the deadlast has come, but also to show Jiraiya that he didn't need him or anything he had to teach.
And if he ever tried approaching him with the offer of training or anything else, Naruto was going to tell him exactly where he could shove his offers and his damn prophecy.
"Thanks, but I couldn't have gotten this far without either of you helping me." Naruto replied, smiling at the girls, thankful for their help in training him.
"Nonsense, you would have been fine without us, with your potential and determination. We merely pushed you in the right direction on where to start to improve." Stated Magik, believing even if they didn't show up, Naruto would have been fine.
"She's right, you do have a lot of potential Naruto, all you needed was the determination and direction to unlock it. Having the right teacher to help is just the first step, it's up to you on how strong you'll become." Raven said, aware that a student is only as good as their teacher, with the reverse also being true.
"Still, thank you both, since you're the first people to want to really help me." Said Naruto, given all his past teachers never really taught him much, the most he learned being Surface Walking from Kakashi and Water Walking from Ebisu.
"Well, there is one other thing we may be able to help you with. Have you heard of genetic memory?" Illyana asked, making Naruto look at her in confusion.
"Genetic memory?" Questioned Naruto, not sure what that was.
"It's the idea that memories are passed down through ones family line in their genetic code, from the point they're born to when they're passed on into the next generation. An example could be the Yamanaka Clan you told us about, that can enter another person's mind, say they entered someone's mind depending on what they can do and how strong they are, they could potentially look at the memories of that persons parents, grandparents, or even ancestors." Explained Raven, much to Naruto's amazement.
"Raven and I would also be able to access such memories with our magic. So, if you wished to, we could let you view the memories of your parents to learn more about them." Magik said, making Naruto's head snap towards her in shock.
"Y-you could…do that?" Naruto asked, hopefully at the chance to learn more about his parents.
"Yes, if you wish to. We didn't tell you earlier, as we wanted to let you process everything you already learned, as to not overwhelm you with even more surprises that you could see in their lives." Replied Magik, with the whiskered blonde nodding in understanding, given with everything else he learned, actually seeing his parents lives would have been overwhelming.
"If you could, then I'd like to do it now." Said Naruto, wanting to get the chance to learn more about his parents, with Magik and Raven nodding in agreement.
Before they had Naruto lay down and placed their hands around his head as they began chanting. After a few moments, the environment around them began changing until they saw something…strange. Rather than seeing the birth of either or both of Naruto's parents, they instead saw a baby boy with tanned skin and black hair.
"Who's that?" Naruto asked in confusion at what they were seeing, since he expected them to see his parents, not whoever this was.
"I'm not…quite sure. We should have seen your parents' memories first." Replied Raven, just as confused at these memories.
"Perhaps it's your grandfather or an ancestor." Magik suggested, as that seemed the most obvious.
Though those suggestions were thrown out the window when they heard that the baby was named…Hashirama Senju!
"Wh-what?! W-why are we seeing the Shodaime Hokage's memories?!" Said Naruto, now shocked that this was the Shodaime Hokage's memories they were seeing.
"I…think I just realized the problem." Raven said, realizing what could have happened and why they were seeing these memories, with Illyana coming to the same conclusion as well.
"What is it?" Questioned Naruto, wanting to know what happened.
"The spell we used, it was meant to be used on regular people from our Earths, and while you and the rest of the humans here are physically identical to humans from our Earths, we didn't take into account your Chakra. Something you also inherit from your parents and ancestors, so it may stand to reason that memories could also exist in your Chakra." Explained Illyana as best as she could, as from the way Naruto explained Chakra to them, it did seem to act like a second nervous system.
"The best guess we have is that your Chakra is identical to the Shodaime Hokage's, which shouldn't be possible; as from what we've sensed, everyone's Chakra seems to be unique to them in how it feels. For yours to be identical to his, it's likely that we're seeing isn't your ancestors memories, we're seeing a past life." Raven continued, much to Naruto's shock as he realized what they were saying.
"Does that mean…that I'm…the reincarnation of the Shodaime Hokage?" Naruto asked in disbelief, with Raven and Illyana nodding in response.
Naruto could only look at them in muted shock. Having never would have believed he'd be the reincarnation of Hashirama Senju, the Shodaime Hokage and God of Shinobi.
Turning back to the memories, they watched Hashirama go through his life, growing up on the battlefield during the Warring States Period. With his three younger brothers soon being born as well, including Tobirama Senju the Nidaime Hokage. Only for their brothers Itama and Kawarama to be killed during battle and buried, leaving only Hashirama and Tobirama.
Though even more surprising was when Hashirama met and befriended Madara Uchiha; with neither of them being aware they were members of their respective clan's rivals. The two becoming close friends, almost like brothers, and bonding over their desire to create a new world, where children weren't forced to fight and kill each other. With the whiskered blonde being surprised that the mountain they were sitting on was the same one that would eventually have the Hokage's faces carved into it; seeing the place, where Konoha would eventually be built.
But then things ended when they learned the truth of who the other was, but still chose to warn the other that their fathers and brothers were coming to ambush them. Leading to Hashirama and Madara interfering to save their remaining brothers, eventually becoming enemies.
Then Naruto was shocked, amazed, and even a little afraid at witnessing every battle Hashirama and Madara fought against each other, seeing they reshaped the landscape with each encounter.
'I thought Kakashi-sensei and Zabuza were strong, but these two…' Thought Naruto, having believed he knew what real power was during the Wave Mission and in the Chūnin Exams.
But seeing Hashirama and Madara fight, he began seeing that compared to these two, everyone else might as well be children playing pretend. Hashirama with his Mokuton to create an entire forest in seconds, and Madara with his Mangekyō Sharingan to create the massive Susanoo.
He saw why they were both still regarded as the most powerful Ninja to have ever lived.
What was really surprising though, was that Hashirama never gave up on their dream to create a better world, having always tried calling for a ceasefire and create an alliance between their two clans. Even willing to give his own life to show Madara his desire for peace, when he could have killed the Uchiha. Something that finally convinced Madara to make peace with the Senju Clan, leading to Konohagakure finally being created, with Madara himself being the one who named the village.
Even more shocking was when Hashirama married Mito Uzumaki and allied with the Uzumaki Clan as well, which was just another secret that Naruto saw was being kept from him. While becoming angry at learning the red swirl on the back of Konoha's flak jackets, they were his clan's symbol!
'And no one even remembers them!' Naruto thought, angry at how there's never been any mention of the Uzumaki Clan before.
But then things changed for the worst when Madara started becoming disillusioned with Konoha. Having overheard the conversation that Tobirama and Hashirama had, where the former spoke of the Curse of Hatred and pushed for Hashirama to become Hokage; despite Hashirama's desire for Madara to become the Shodaime, since he hoped that the village would help fill the void that the death of his family had left. How Hashirama eventually relented and allowed the village to choose who the Shodaime Hokage should be, with him ultimately being chosen over Madara. Leading Madara to believe that his and the Uchiha Clan's position in the village was being diminished, after seeing how the Senju Clan was being favored, until he finally deemed Konoha a failed experiment and left.
Only he returned with the Kyūbi now under his control and faced Hashirama again in battle, with this one leading to the creation of the Valley of the End and Madara's death. With the Kyūbi being sealed away inside Mito for Konoha's benefit, while the other Bijū were soon rounded up and captured as well. Something that made Naruto wince as he heard the fox roar and thrash around inside his head, angered at watching it once again be sealed and locked away.
Naruto then watched the first Kage Summit, where Hashirama offered up the Bijū to the other villages, much to his disbelief and slight anger. That he'd give them away to be used as weapons, while believing it would lead to peace.
Only it didn't, as they watched as the peace Hashirama tried create soon deteriorated as wars broke out, with the newly created Jinchūriki sent out as weapons of war against the other villages. With Hashirama soon dying of natural causes, before the first Shinobi War even began, emboldening the other villages to start the First Shinobi War.
"That was…a lot to take in." Naruto stated, not expecting to see all that, learning Hashirama and Madara were once best friends turned enemies, the creation of Konoha, and the existence of the Uzumaki Clan.
"Agreed, I can see why Hashirama was respected and feared as a Ninja. But as a man and leader…I believe he comes up rather short." Said Illyana, willing to admit Hashirama was powerful and did care for his village and people, but he didn't seem to make the best decision.
"Yeah. Trapping and then giving away the Bijū to the other villages, he should have known how that would have ended. He even gave one to a village that tried to assassinate him." Raven added, seeing how Hashirama gave the Nanabi to Takigakure, despite how they sent someone to kill him.
As much as Naruto wanted to defend the Shodaime and his past life, he couldn't since Raven and Magik…were both kind of right. It was foolish of Hashirama to give away the Bijū, leading to them being used as weapons.
Thankfully, their attention turned back to the memories as they changed, now showing two different scenes.
"Ah, here we go. I believe now we will see your parents' memories." Illyana stated, making Naruto perk up and focus on the memories.
Watching the two different scenes, one of a redheaded baby girl and the other of a blonde baby boy, both of whom Naruto knew had to be his parents.
The trio watching as the two grew up and went through their lives, Naruto taking in the sight of Uzushiogakure and the Uzumaki Clan. Before watching as his mother was taken from Uzushio to Konoha and, to his shock, was meant to become the Kyūbi's Jinchūriki after Mito Uzumaki.
Naruto laughing tearfully at his mother entering the Academy and her declaration of being the first female Hokage, followed by his father declaring his own desire to become Hokage. Only for the three to laugh at Kushina beating up several other kids that called her "Tomato". Before growing somber at how she was treated, both for being an outsider and for her red hair, with the whiskered blonde realizing that the Kyūbi had been talking about his mother before.
Though when he saw the Kumo Ninja kidnap his mother, Naruto grew angry that they were going to take her and what they had planned for her; but was relieved at her leaving a trail behind by plucking out her hair. Which his father had found and followed saving her, much to Naruto's amazement that even as a Genin, the Yondaime was strong enough to take down adult Ninja.
The rest of the memories flew past as they watched his parents grow up and get together as a couple, with Naruto being thankful that Raven and Magik skipped past some parts he really didn't want to see. With the Jinchūriki only feeling further angered and betrayed at seeing that Kakashi had been his father's student, meaning someone else had lied to him. Though was surprised at similar his father's team was to his own, with the prodigy, the deadlast, and the Top Kunoichi that likes the prodigy and is liked by the deadlast.
Though he did find it ironic that the Uchiha was the deadlast on his father's team.
Naruto was surprised at seeing his mother had been friends with both Hinata's and Sasuke's mothers as well. Even more shocking was when he learned that his godmother was actually Mikoto herself, the same woman the Sandaime blocked from taking him in, before she was killed.
'Murdered, by Itachi.' Naruto thought scowling, now partially understanding why Sasuke hated his brother so much and wanted to kill him.
He never got the chance to meet his godmother, making him want to kill Itachi now, too.
The trio was amazed though, at seeing the skill and power his parents had, seeing firsthand why they'd been regarded as two of the strongest and deadliest Ninja alive.
Then they finally got to, that night. With the memories merging into one, upon his birth. Causing Naruto, Raven and Illyana to realize that the memories they're watching had shifted to Naruto's memories, his earliest memories.
Though it was hard for Naruto to watch his own birth at first, but he felt happy and glad at seeing how joyful his parents were when he was born. Only for it be ruined when a Masked Man appeared killing everyone and taking him hostage, with his father managing to save him in time, but was forced to leave his mother to be taken.
Making Naruto want nothing more than to rip the Masked Man apart, realizing that he must have been the one that extracted the Kyūbi from his mother and unleashed it onto Konoha. That this Masked Man was the true mastermind of the Kyūbi Attack; that both he and the one that leaked his Jinchūriki status to the Village, were the ones responsible for ruining his life.
Eventually, Naruto's father returned with his mother, with it breaking his heart to see her in such a weakened state and at death's doors, after seeing how strong and lively she was all her life. How she held onto Naruto and comforted him, until his father teleported the Kyūbi to their location, so he could seal it into him. With his father sealing half of the Kyūbi inside himself, and the other half into Naruto. But not before both his parents were impaled on the fox's claw to save him, much to his shock and horror.
With the Jinchūriki falling to his hands and knees at hearing his parents last words to him and the fact they sealed part of their Chakra into the seal, as well. Everything returning to normal once the sealing had been completed, as Kushina told the Sandaime his name and asked him to take care of him, before her death.
"Naruto? Naruto?!" Magik said as she and Raven kneeled down beside him, looking at him in worry at his expression as tears fell from his eyes, only to be shocked when they looked at the ground beneath his hands and saw roots begin growing.
'Kyūbi! You killed them, you tried to kill me!' Naruto thought, angry at the fox for killing his parents, only to be met by the Bijū roaring at him from his mindscape.
"They were already dead before I stabbed them! Kushina from having me extracted and Namikaze from using the Dead Demon Consuming Seal! And yes I was going to kill you, because I refused to be sealed away for a third time! Both Mito and Kushina only ever saw me as a monster that needed to be locked in a cage, that only hatred would come from using my power, yet they had no problem using it when it benefitted them! I refused to have gone through that again and I'd kill anyone who attempts it! You want to be angry and hate me, fine I already despise your kind anyway! But don't forget, none of that would have happened if it wasn't for that damn Masked Man, he's the real reason they're dead runt." Growled Kyūbi, before cutting the connection.
Naruto gritted his teeth in anger, since as much as he hated it, the Kyūbi was right, none of that would have happened if it wasn't for that mask wearing bastard!
He just wanted to be angry at someone for what happened and he had no idea where the Masked Man was, or even who he is, leaving only the fox to be angry at. Something Naruto knew wasn't fair, since the Kyūbi had been controlled and hadn't wanted to be sealed again. After taking a few breaths to calm himself, Naruto decided to take a page out of Sasuke's book and focus both his anger and hatred into resolve. Resolve to hunt down this Masked Man and kill him, avenging both his parents and himself.
'I'll ask the fox about this Mask Man and apologizing to it for my outburst, once it had time to cool down.' Naruto thought, now that he managed to reign in and focus his anger, refusing to be like the villagers by blaming the Kyūbi, when it was just as much of a victim as him and the rest of Konoha.
"Naruto?" Said Raven, pulling the Uzumaki from his thoughts as he stood up and wiped is eyes.
"I'm…I'm fine. That was just…a lot to take in." Naruto replied as that was even more than he expected to see, before he looked at the ground and was shocked to see flowers, roots, and plants growing out of where his hands just were.
"Wh-what?" Said Naruto, wondering how that just happened.
"I think that seeing Hashirama's memories helped awaken his power that you inherited, including his Mokuton." Raven said, much to Naruto's shock that he just unlocked the Mokuton, let alone that he actually had the Mokuton.
"What do you want to do now? We could take a break from training, if you wish to rest and recover." Illyana said, only for Naruto to shake his head, knowing that with everything he learned and seeing that he just unlocked the Mokuton, he couldn't afford to slack off now.
"No, no, I want to keep training. Even more now, with what I saw and everything that my parents and Hashirama knew; I want to learn everything they did. Especially the Rasengan, Adamantine Sealing Chains, Fūinjutsu, and the Hiraishin. Along with mastering the Mokuton." Said Naruto, knowing he now had even more he needed to learn, but not for the finals.
With everything he saw, the finals just fell from the top of his priorities list.
"The Masked Man?" Raven asked slowly, sensing Naruto's emotions, with sadness, pain, anger, rage, and vengeance being the strongest right now.
"Yes. He took everything from me, ruined my life, and for what? For peace, for war, for what purpose? I honestly don't even care. All I know, is that I'm gonna find him, and then I'm gonna kill him, slowly." Stated Naruto, swearing he will find the Masked Man and make him pay for what he's done.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we see Danzō making plans in Konoha to take over and turn Naruto into a weapon as well as Raven and Illyana into breeding stock. Then we see the trio outside of Konoha and continuing Naruto's training, with the addition of learning from the Forbidden Scroll, including what Shadow Clones can really do. Before Naruto meets with the Kyūbi and come to an agreement, with the Kyūbi also insulting Naruto for his continued loyalty to Konoha despite everything he's learned, with Raven and Magik agreeing with the fox. Finally they head to the Land of Waves to get some new clothes and Naruto getting Zabuza's sword before getting another surprise as the girls offer to access his parents genetic memories inside him, which Naruto eagerly accepts, only for them to be shocked when they see Hashirama's memories first, given Naruto's his reincarnation, see his entire life from his birth to his death before going onto Minato and Kushina's memories where he also learns the truth of what happened the night he was born and about the Masked Man, who Naruto swears to get revenge on for what he's done, with him now having access to many new abilities he'll learn to use, including Mokuton. So, review if you liked go away if you didn't.
Storm out
