Alrighty, let's get started with the next chapter. And I typed this while listening to the Animaniacs soundtrack XD
"LIL PETEY! KID WHERE ARE YOU?!" Petey screamed for what seemed like the millionth time that afternoon. "Petey, chill." Dog Man said. "Hey guys! Look!" Ashley pointed at a tree with a piece of paper on it. She pulled it off and read it out loud.
"To my son, and his idiot friends,
Me and Dexia have your friends. And you're not getting them back! Muahahahhahahaha!
Grandpa"
"I am going to KILL my father!" Petey shouted. "Does it say where they went?" Dog Man asked. "No. But that crack in the ground tells the story." Ashley said, pointing at the ground. "Well then let's go." Dog Man said, running after Ashley with the others behind him.
Meanwhile…
After escaping Grampa, Yakko and Li'l Petey continued running through the dense forest. The rain was coming down hard, and Yakko's jokes once they had gotten to shelter were NOT helping very much. "Guess that was inDENSE!" Yakko said, joking about the dense forest. "Don't you know anything that's not a joke and that's actually comforting! I can tell that's not helping you any either!" Li'l Petey said. Yakko sat across from him, feeling bad for the small kitten. He was so little and Petey was losing his mind looking for one of the few people he loved.
A lightbulb went off in his head. He knew something that would help! "I think I got something that'll help us both." Yakko said. "Everybody lives on a street, in a city, or a village, or a town for what it's worth…" By the time he was done singing, Li'l Petey was fast asleep.
Meanwhile….
Even after the rest of the group had stopped to rest, Petey refused to stop looking for his son and Yakko. Wakko and Dot were still holding on to hope for their brother's safe return, but everyone else, besides Ashley, who never gave up hope, had given up hope. Wakko remembered the brave sacrifice Pinky had made when he first met Ashley.
"You IMBECILE! Why did I ever call you my daughter?!" Travis yelled before throwing Ashley off him, sending Pinky(Who was on Ashley's shoulder) flying into the metal wall, catching everyone's(Except Travis and Alva, who took that chance to get away).
"PINKY!" Everyone screamed, running over to the mouse in a flash. Pinky was still alive, but was bruised and battered more than he was when the Warners found him.
The moment flashed through his mind like a nightmare. Petey's mind, on the other hand, wouldn't stop thinking about Li'l Petey.
"Petey, relax. I'm sure he's fine." Ashley said. "No! I'm not sleeping till I find my son alive and safe!" Petey said. "He's fine! Yakko is a good protector. You don't have to worry." Ashley reassured. "Fine." Petey finally gave up and headed to the rest of the group
