Chapter 3! It's been like 6 days since I started this story, and I just realized that every 2 weeks is a very long time. Soooo that time frame is going out the window. Expect these... every week or so? I don't know, my schedule isn't very concrete at the moment.

Disclaimer: I don't own Percy Jackson or Harry Potter. They belong to Rick Riordan, and J.K. Rowling respectively.

Percy looked around as he stumbled out of the portal. He was standing in front of a train station with people walking in and out constantly.

For some reason, everyone here was really tall.

"Welcome to London Percy," someone said.

Percy looked around for a moment before he saw the person who had spoken, "Oh, hi Hecat- wait what?" Percy's voice was an octave higher than normal.

Hecate coughed into her hand and said, "Yeah, you had to be... younger for the duration of this particular mission,"

"What! Why?" Percy asked, not very happy with this turn of events.

"I'll explain later," Hecate said as she walked briskly away.

"What is it with you gods and not answering questions!"

"What do you think? This is where we are going to be staying for the duration of this mission," Hecate asked, gesturing forwards.

"It's... interesting," Percy said hesitantly.

It was a refrigerator-sized cardboard box.

Hecate ushered Percy towards the box.

"Wait, that wasn't a joke? I'm really starting to question you sanit- what?" Percy stopped.

Hecate opened the front flap of the box, revealing the real house.

The house was set up like an ancient Roman villa, with most of the house centered around a courtyard with a beautiful garden in the center (they look kind of like Mulan's house in Mulan).

"It looks-" Percy stopped and then sat down on a nearby chair. Hecate sat next to him.

"It looks like something Annabeth would have made," he said quietly.

Hecate grinned, "She did,"

Percy's head popped up, "What? But she... died,"

Hecate ruffled Percy's hair, "After she died, Annabeth got the chance to become Architect of the Underworld with Daeladus. We thought you might want something to remind you of home. So I convinced Hades to allow her to make this, and Kairos volunteered to turn it into a pocket dimension,"

Percy hugged Hecate tightly. "Thank you," he said, his voice slightly muffled.

Hecate patted Percy on the back, "You're welcome Perce."

"Right!" Percy said, sitting back, "You still haven't told me what I'm supposed to be doing here, what being the Champion of the Thrift is means, or why I have a tattoo now."

Hecate coughed, "Would you accept an answer of later? Also, you're Champion of the Rift, not the Thrift,"

"No, I would not," Percy said, ignoring her second point.

Hecate sighed, "follow me,"

Hecate tapped the small screen on the end of the dining table, and a hologram appeared overtop of the table.

"Woah! That's so cool!" said Percy, waving his hand through the hologram.

Hecate cleared her throat, "Percy, do you want answers, or should I just leave?"

Percy immediately stopped playing with the hologram and sat down on a chair, "What was it you were saying?"

Hecate rolled her eyes, "You're like a child. Anyway, the reason you are here is to help Harry Potter defeat the dark wizard Voldemort, also known as Tom Marvolo Riddle,"

Percy blinked, "Voldemort,"

"Voldemort,"

"You're telling me, this dude Tom, decided that Voldemort is a better name than Tom. That's stupid."

Hecate scratched the back of her head, "Well yeah, most wizards aren't known for their ability to make rational decisions,"

Before Percy could interrupt further, Hecate decided to continue. "So Harry Potter is currently the same age as you look. When you two turn 11, you will receive an invitation to the most prestigious wizarding school in the country, named Hogwarts.

And as you may have predicted, Percy thought this was hilarious.

"Hogwarts! They called a SCHOOL Pigpimples! HAHAHAHA,"

"Are you done?" Hecate asked after a good 2-3 minutes of this.

Percy snorted, "Hogwarts, yes I'm done,"

"Finally, now until you turn eleven I'm going to be teaching you magic," Hecate said, exasperated.

"Wait, I thought you guys couldn't really do anything here?"

Hecate stared at Percy dumbfounded, "Percy. I am the goddess of MAGIC. This is a world with MAGIC in it. Perhaps you might be able to see a correlation there."

"Oh, uh, I kind of forgot about that,"

Hecate waved her hand, "You're not really wrong, I'm still not actually allowed to interfere directly. But I can answer those questions later. I'm just going to answer your other questions. For now, being Champion of the Rift means two things."

She raised a finger, "One, you can access every kind of magic in existence and occasionally specific scientific phenomena, but only in the dimension it originates from."

She raised another finger, "And two, you can access the Hall of Dimensions, and due to a couple of little adjustments this house as well."

Before Percy could say anything, she continued, "That tattoo is your sigil as Champion of the Rift, and it usually grants a couple of powers as well. I don't know what yours does, each Champion gets a different one. You got a dragon, which could really be anything. The only thing that is certain, is that they are always powerful."

Hecate stood in front of a chalkboard holding a wand. Percy was sitting at a desk with a piece of paper and a pencil.

"Is this really necessary?" Percy asked, not very happy about having to take notes.

"Yes, it is," Hecate said, "Now we're going to start with a very basic question, What is Magic,"

Percy raised his hand and Hecate called on him.

"Yes, Mr. Jackson?"

"It's... you wave your wand and sparkly bits come out that do fancy things," Percy said, ever so eloquently.

Hecate facepalmed, "This is going to be a long year,"

She sighed, "No, you aren't even trying. Magic is the manipulation of mana to accomplish a goal. Fairly straightforward. Now, next question, where does magic come from."

Percy thought for a moment, "Doesn't it just... happen?"

"No, magic does not 'just happen', it comes from somewhere. That somewhere just happens to very relevant to us. Mana comes from the interactions of dimensions and the space between them, called the astral space. Next question-"

Percy raised his hand, "I don't get it. Why are you asking me the questions if I have almost no chance of answering them correctly,"

"Yes! Finally. That the first point, I was trying to make!" Hecate said triumphantly, "Magic is about asking questions! Why does this work? How does this happen? You have to know when to ask questions and failing that, figuring it out yourself. Understanding the theory is almost as important as actually casting spells,"

Here she paused. "I'm getting ahead of myself. We have to take a look at your other subjects,"

"So what are they then?" Percy asked.

"We can go over that in a minute. First, we need to take a trip to Diagon Alley.

And that's chapter 3. Hope you enjoyed. If you did, reviewing would be greatly appreciated. If you hated it, I'm assuming you aren't here but if you are I would like to know why.
