Chapter: Moving On...

Han has a pack of cigarettes and a bottle of Lena's reposado. He hasn't opened the pack. He stopped smoking when she kept throwing them away. He reaches for the bottle and ignores the cigarettes.

"This isn't going to work."

"This wasn't the plan."

He made her choose. Han told her the Yakuza money was going to stay. There was no way to buy them out and she'd have to make a decision... Was she going to be in it with him? Or...

Galena stared out the window, ignoring the people around her. She'd come to Tokyo with a dream, in love and happy. A tear slides down her cheek, her vision blurs and she's miserable.

How had it all come apart? And why would Han choose to stay? Why would he ever make her choose? Did he really think she'd be that selfish? That she'd ever willingly put their baby in danger?

Galena learned her lesson a long time ago. She'd been luckier than Jakob and she wasn't going to jump back into that life. She wouldn't raise her child that way, no matter how much she loved Han...

Their baby needed her more.

Letty's waiting at the curb when Galena comes out of the airport doors. They share a look and Letty has her sister in a fierce hug before her first tear falls.

"Say the word," Letty gruffs into her sisters hair. "Le mocho las pelotas."

She gets a little bit of a laugh and they step back from each other.

"His balls belong to the Yakuza now." Lena wipes her eyes and drags in a breath. "I'm hungry and I'm craving a milkshake."

Letty smirks. "We can stop at Ortega's. " She grabs the rolling suitcases and heads to the trunk. "So, how fat are you?"

Lena just ignores her.

Ana Ortíz has plenty to say and its I told you. 24/7. 'Pero a mi no me hacen caso. Que voy a saber yo.'

'Y ahora que vas hacer con un hijo?'

'Ese mal parido, bueno para nada. Te dije que no te convenia, pero no hiciste caso. Y mira nadamas!'

Letty has enough of their Mom's acid tongue. "Lets go."

"Y tu que haces? Leticia!"

Letty ignores their mother and takes Lena's stuffed suitcase to the curb where Vince is waiting uncomfortably.

"Put it back, Letty." Galena mumbles from her pillow. She's too tired to get up and she's allowed a couple days to mope and be sad.

"Get up. I swear, Lena..." Letty warns as their mother tried to open the bedroom door. Letty just slams it shut again and then starts dumping more clothes into the 2nd suitcase.

"Just leave me alone." Lena covers her head with the blanket and tries to burrow into the mattress.

"No! You're not some broken girl, Lena! Get off your ass because I'm not leaving you here, con esa bruja, another day." Letty pulls open the door startling their mom. She shoves past her and heads outside. She can hear their mother's voice already scolding Lena.

"Dom!!"

He crosses the street hearing Letty below his name. He knows she's pissed and he doesn't blame her. Which is why he has no problem following her back into the house and grabbing Lena, along with her blanket and a pillow, and heading back outside.

"Que fregados, Dom?" Lena startles but then she has to cover her eyes from the bright sun.

"Letty's worried. Thinks you need a break from your mom's... loving care."

At that, Galena scoffs. Dom smiles too.

"I'll make her leave you alone for now." Dom assures. "But you better come down for breakfast or I'm letting her lose on you."

Galena groans.

Dom doesn't usually involve himself in the sister's relationship. This is one of those exceptions and he tells Letty to take it easy with Lena. "Dont foget she's pregnant."

"That lame excuse again?" Letty scowls. She threatened to fly to Japan and rip Han a new one... Dom calmed her, put the girls in front of the tv with a tray of junk food and let them watch movies the rest of the night.

Dom waits for the line to pick up. "So, you remember when I said I'd hurt you if you hurt Lena?"

Han drags in a pained breath. "She left me."

"Now why would Lena do that?" Dom sarcastically questioned.

"Guessing this wasn't her idea of ride or die-"

"I'm going to ignore that, Han." Dom's voice gets hard. "Galena chose you over her parents. You fucked it up, Han. If she left, you made her leave. And she's pregnant with your kid. So what are you going to do about it?"

"What am I supposed to do!? She left me! She doesn't want a gangsters life for the kid..." Han trailed off, the anger washing out of his voice. "I dont blame her... Just, keep an eye on her? Let me know if she needs anything..."

Dom hangs up. He could tell Lena was hesitant about getting involved with Han. At first he'd thought it was becuse of... But then she'd made that announcement in front of all of them.

"This is my boyfriend. His name is Han and I'm not a virgin anymore. We've been having sex the last few days."

Galena glances around before walking out the back door and starts dialing. She sort of hopes he doesn't pick up and she can leave a messa-.

"Yeah..."

She stops. For a second she cant get her breath and there's a sharp pain in her chest. "Its...me."

"Lena...?" He tries to sit up but the room spins and he knocks the empty bottle to the ground.

"Yes," she hurries into the garage where she wont be overheard. "I'm just...I wanted you to know I'll be taking out some cash from our account."

"Yeah, sure. Uh, how much do you need?"

"I dont know. 6k..." She wonders if he'll ask about the baby...

"Okay..." Han doesn't know how to ask her. Does he have a right to? He made her choose and he lost his girl to their baby...

Galena waits but he still doesn't say anything else so she hangs up without another word. She chucks the cell phone and screams.

Letty finds her crying on the couch and a mess of tools on the ground.

"I don't care that you're pregnant. You're cleaning this up."

Lena flips her the bird.

"Ni siquiera pregunto por el bebe." Lena looks up and the hurt is all over her face. "I called to let him know I'm going to withdraw some cash from our account and he just said 'ok'. Asi nomas! 'okay'...?"

"Did you want him to say No?" Letty leans up against the covered charger and crosses her arms.

"I wanted him to say he'd changed his mind, Letty!" Galena got to her feet. "I wanted him to choose me! Us!"

"You're the one who left." Letty reminded her.

"Tu saves por que." She shook her head and plopped down on the couch again. "I learned my lesson, Letty. I'm not going to bring my kid into a life of crime."

Letty just watches her sister wipe more tears from her face. She wonders if... "Did you tell him?"

Galena looks up sharply. "We promised, Letty."

"Did you tell him?" Letty asks again.

"No, because we agreed... the four of us would never bring it up again. Ever."

Letty nods.

Dom's staring at the bird Lena just bought. "Are you sure you can fly this thing?"

Lena scowls at him. "Dont bash my bird, Dom or you'll find something extra in your charger."

"Whoa, I'm just asking."

"Para esas preguntas..." Lena huffs and moves past him.

Step 1 of the plan is set. Step 2 is going to cost more than she has and she doesn't want to call Han again. So she's entertaining Letty's hesitant offer to drive with them.

"I swear, Lena. Its not like... before." But Galena hadn't answered. She left Han because she didn't want their kid to live with criminals. So what was she going to do?

Letty's in the waiting room, avoiding her mother. The woman is angry... Galena told the doctor and nurses she wasn't going to have anyone in the room. Letty helped drag her mother out of the delivery room...

Dom had driven Lena to the hospital when she'd yelled at him from the back porch.

"Hey! I need a ride to the hospital stat!" He'd run out of the garage to find her having a contraction. "So," she dragged in a breath and slightly straightened up. "Maybe, hose this mess off the back porch and I'll meet you out front? Okay."

Dom could laugh about it now. He'd done what she'd asked and found her trying to get in the passenger seat.

Galena tells herself she's not alone. Her parents are there, so is her sister and Dom... but the one person she wants to share this with is halfway around the world.

They tell her to push and she does. They ask if she's ok, but she just nods yes to everything. This is supposed to be a happy moment... but she's just sad.

"...there, he's a healthy boy."

They have a son.

Letty sneaks in with help from Dom who's distracting their parents.

"Oh wow." Letty quietly moves closer to the bed. "You're a mom."

Lena looks up and more tears fill her eyes. "He's not here..."

Letty glares. "I'm here. That's all you need, Lena."

Dom gets up, groaning as he sees the bright LED on the clock mark 3am. "Like clock work, kid." He finds Galena with the baby on the back porch.

"Sorry, Dom..." But he just shakes his head and drops into the chair. "You don't have to drive with us, Lena."

"I'm not calling him..." Which means she'll have to earn the rest of the cash herself. "Just give me a few days."

Dom's not sure Lena's ready to leave the baby. He needs drivers that are focused on the job and Lena's been glancing at her watch and fiddling with her cell phone... she's already called Mia twice. "No cell phones. Cant risk it, Lena."

She's sitting on the back porch, rocking the baby to sleep. Its been 4months and she's more in love with him than she was that first day. "He'd fall in love with you on sight, amorcito." She presses a kiss to the top of his head and smiles. Han hasn't called. Galena refuses to call him again. She should... to tell him about Jace.

Han's been staring at the picture on his cell. He got the text during another party at the garage.

'Our son.'

This is who he lost his girl to.

'She named him Jace.'

Han chuckles. After all the arguing about the name...

He almost dials... and then puts it away. Because didn't he tell her to choose?
