A/N: Hey Everyone! Here is Part 3! I hope you are enjoying the story. Sorry this took a little bit. I'm going back and forth between this story and my Forgotten story. Fight scenes take so long to write lol. Let me know what you think about Tokoyami's parents.

Part 3

"Wait a minute!"

Aizawa turned his head to see Present Mic chasing after him.

Mic quickly caught up. "Why are you considering this? Doesn't this violate student privacy?"

"It doesn't hurt to ask, Mic," Aizawa said before continuing to walk.

"But if they say yes. What will you do if she starts losing it at Tsu and yells?"

"How much yelling is a deaf woman going to do?" Aizawa smirked at the snarky comment. Mic wasn't as pleased with the comment. He saw the disgruntled look on his partner's face and sighed. "I think if there is any kind of altercation it can be resolved quickly."

"Parents will do anything for their kids. Just think what you would do for Eri!"

Aizawa shot Mic a glare. Mic flinched before Aizawa turned away. He sighed once more. This was truly an exhausting day. "Having Eri is what gave me the instinct to trust Mrs. Tokoyami."

They reached Tsu's hospital room and knocked. Mr. Asui opened the door. "Aizawa sensei. Present Mic sensei. Please come in."

They entered the small room. Tsu looked even smaller in the bed. The blood bag hug from an IV stand that towered over the teen. Her heart Monitor was beside that. She was fairly curled up for being hooked up to so many gadgets.

Tsu sat up quickly when she saw her teachers. "What's going on? Did they find Tokoyami?"

Aizawa shook his head. "We haven't found him, yet." He made sure to add yet. Asui was not usually very emotional. Being able to read her face meant she was feeling that way, intently. "I have spoken with Tokoyami's parents. They have asked to speak with you."

All members of the Asui family shared a look with each other. "Why do they want to meet with Tsu?" Bura asked.

"I'm not sure," Aizawa admitted. "I know they thought Tsu was taken as well. Maybe they want to make sure we are not lying about that. I didn't ask why. I thought asking if you were comfortable with meeting them was more important."

"Well Tadpole," Ganma turned to his daughter, "Do you want to see them?"

Tsu thought for a moment. Somehow she shrank in thought, making her look even smaller in the bed. "I would like to apologize to them," she finally said.

"Apologize for what, Asui?" Present Mic asked.

"I could tell Ochaoc was acting weird, and I never questioned it. If I would have trusted my gut, Tokoyami might still be here."

Present Mic opened his mouth to speak, but quickly closed it. How was he supposed to respond to that? He wanted to comfort the girl, but didn't know how.

Aizawa was always better at this sort of stuff. "It's a hard way to learn to trust your instincts. I don't think you will ever make that mistake again, even if it isn't your fault." Asui nodded and lowered her head. "It was a very good disguise. Others fell for it as well. Toga came with the intention of getting Tokoyami. It is unfortunate that you were hurt in the process, but I have a feeling she would have done anything to reach her goal. Know that your classmates have now been working on ways to always identify who each of you are. My hope is that this will keep you all safe for any future disguises. I'll go get the Tokoyamis. I think you will feel better if you talk to them."

Aizawa and Present Mic left. Tsu attempted to hug herself but stopped when the IV pinched her arm. Bura patted her daughter on her knee. "You can't blame yourself for this."

"But I knew something was off," Tsu said with tears in her eyes. "Aizawa is right, I'm never not trusting my gut immediately again."

"You were not the only one tricked. Didn't you say other classmates were with you as well? What more could you have done? Ganma asked.

That question made Tsu think. What more could she have done? She was even going to leave Toga alone, but Toga dragged her along. If she would have refused her friend in front of Iida and Todoroki with no real reason, they would have thought she had been the strange one. Was she supposed to fight Toga right there when she thought it was Ochaco?

If there was nothing she could do, then why did she feel such an insatiable amount of guilt? Why did it feel like it was all her fault? Why did it feel like Tokoyami traded his life for her own? Her stomach twisted into knots as the questions danced in her head.

"They better not yell at you," Ganma said.

"Ganma, why would you think that?" Bura asked.

Ganma shrugged. "They are hurting, maybe they think it's Tsu's fault."

"Or maybe they just want to see who their son managed to protect," Bura said. "People do this. It's the same with organ donors. People meet up with the donors they saved."

"I'm still going to be cautious," Ganma said in a disgruntled tone.

Knock, knock.

There was a soft knock at the door. Ganma looked to Tsu. "Are you still okay with this?" Tsu nodded and Ganma opened the door.

Aizawa was the first one who entered. A taller man with a black bird head and yellow beak entered. He looked like an older Fumikage Tokoyami. The Differences from Fumikage and his father were yellow eyes and the tips of the feathers on the back of his head were all greying.

A short woman with long black hair followed. Her red eyes popped in the white room. She looked directly at Tsu.

Tsu made eye contact with the woman. She lowered her head. "I'm so sorry. I should have trusted my instincts. It's my fault Tokoyami is ta-"

Tsu stopped speaking when she felt a pair of arms wrap around her. Tokoyami's mom was hugging her. The embrace was strong. She pulled Tsu closer to her. Tsu felt her shaking. Tsu felt something wet. At first she thought it was Tokoyami's mom's tears, but when a drop slid down her nose, Tsu realized she was crying. She caved into her emotions, Holding Tokoyami mom tight as well, and quietly sobbing.

Aizawa stood in the back of the room. He couldn't help but sigh with relief. There wasn't going to be any confrontation. This was simply a family looking for comfort from another family in the situation.

"I know this is strange," Tokoyami's father said. "But Hibiki can't hold our son. So she thought maybe holding someone else's child would help." He had his hands in his pockets. Though he looked calm, his arms had the slightest quiver.

Ganma saw the fellow father falter. He walked over to the man and placed his left arm around the other's shoulder. Mr. Tokoyami, though, skinny, had a sturdy stand. With his right hand Ganma stuck out his hand. "I'm Ganma Asui."

A small smile crossed the smaller man's face. "I'm Fuhimito Tokoyami." He pointed to his wife. "My wife is Hibiki Tokoyami. She's deaf, so if you say anything to her, she may not have understood. She's pretty good at reading lips, but at home we sign exclusively."Fumihito pointed to his beak. "Fumikage and I both have beaks so…" He trailed off, eyes watering.

"You okay?" Ganma ask.

Fumihito clasped his hands to his head. "They sent us part of his beak. My poor boy! They're mutilating my boy!" He was now sobbing.

Ganma pulled him into a tight hug. He glanced over to his wife who had a face of horror. Tsu held Hibiki closer. This was disturbing news. The Asui's would not turn down a family in such despair. They all now knew there was a high chance Fumikage Tokoyami wasn't making it out of this alive.

"I know it is just words, but I assure you we are doing everything we can in the safest and fastest way," Aizawa said. He moved towards the door. "I know UA is setting up a room for you all. We wouldn't want you to go home to an unwanted surprise."

"What about our other children?" Bura asked.

"We are preparing to send a car with Heroes Ectoplasm and Snipe to meet them at home. I wanted to ask if either of you," He looked back and forth to the Asui parents, "would like to accompany them to gather things as well."

Bura and Ganma looked at each other, they then looked to Tsu, and then to the Tokoyamis trying to end their sniffling. Bura nodded. "I will go."

Aizawa motioned her to follow him. "Come with me. We will take care of this." As Aizawa walked by Hibiki, he pulled a chair behind her and pressed it against her legs. She looked behind her, nodded a small thanks, and took a seat in the chair, releasing Tsu.

"I think that being here there is more comfort and support for you," Aizawa said to Fuhimito. He turned to Ganma and then Tsu. "I hope you don't mind until the room the rooms are ready."

"I don't mind," Ganma said. "Do you, Tsu?"

Tsu shook her head. "It's fine. I'm actually just happy Tokoyami's parents are not mad at me."

"We are not mad at you," Fuhimito said. "We are glad you are alive."

He tapped his wife's shoulder. She looked to him and he signed Tsu's concerns. Hibiki placed her hand over her heart. She shook her head no. She grabbed Tsu's hand and shook her head no. She squeezed Tsu's hand. Tsu squeezed back.

"I think that concern is settled. Mrs. Asui, let's go." Aizawa and Bura left the room.

Tsu laid back in her bed. She held Tokoyami's mom's hand as her eyes closed."Please be okay, Tokoyami," Tsu thought as she drifted off to sleep.

The world was black and silent. Fumikage had no idea where he was. He tried to move forward, but he couldn't walk. In fact he couldn't move his feet at all. He looked down to see a black mist flowing Where his ankles would be. He was trapped.

His heart began to race. He turned his head to look around. It was only darkness. Black in a variety of shades filled the space. The texture of the dark mist on the ground is the only indication of up or down. There was no place for him to go.

"Dark Shadow, where are we?" He said out loud.

Silence.

"Dark Shadow, come out," Fumikage ordered.

There was nothing. He didn't even feel Dark Shadow. He felt nothing inside him. He was empty. That menat…

"No." Tears began to fill his eyes. "They took Dark Shadow. They have him and now I'm powerless. No, I must be dead."

Fumikage stared out into the sea of Darkness. "This is my fate. I am forever alone in a void of inescapable darkness."

He couldn't stand anymore. He took a seat. The dark mist swirled about his chest and face. His feet were planted to whatever sort of ground there was. He hugged his knees, resting his chin on his head.

"I won't ever get to see Dark Shadow again. Nor my parents. I won't get to become a hero. I bet Hawks is disappointed in having such a weak intern."

He sighed and stared into the abyss. "I hope my parents are not too sad. I don't want them to live in despair. It's not fair to them. Maybe my choice in being a hero wasn't fair to my parents? They were always so kind and encouraging. But what else would Dark Shadow and I have become?"

His mind began to think through the events that had led him to his current state. He was sitting in his room, reading one of his dark fantasy novels. He loved the world, the characters, and the relationships that were building. He was in the middle of a rather large series. He had to put his book down when there was the knock at the door.

Fumikage's eyes were wide. "Did anyone find Asui?" Now he was distressed. Who would come looking for her in his room? Seldom did anyone enter his room. The door was closed. They probably wouldn't enter until he was shown to be absent from class. And Asui… Tsu… She would probably have passed as well. Bleeding out in his own room. All alone and in pain. She didn't deserve that kind of death. Would she find herself in a similar realm as he had? Doomed to live while planted in a black abyss?

"I hope you are not in a place like me, Asui," Fumikage said. "It is too cruel to be in an eternity alone."

All Might waited anxiously outside the UA hospital. The driver should be pulling up at any moment with Bura Asui, Her two youngest children, and Snipe and Ectoplasm. He need the two heroes.

The long black SUV pulled up. Two children hopped out, one to look about ten, the other seven or eight. Mrs. Asui followed, then Ectoplasm and Snipe. All Might rushed to see them before they could even open the trunk for the family's bags. "Snipe, Ectoplasm! You need to go to the conference room. I can take it from here."

"We were asked to escore the Asui family," Ectoplasm said in his low voice.

"Yes, but Hound Dog is back. They need you up there," All Might explained.

"Did they find Fumikage?" Bura asked, intruding on the conversation.

Snipe tipped his hat to the woman. "If they need us, then I think that's a yes. We better get up there."

Ectoplasm bowed and he and Snipe raced to the conference room.

The conference room was near the staff lounge. It made it easier for teachers to meet, and for heroes to plan for incredibly difficult feats. When Ectoplasm and Snipe arrived, they were left to find seats closest to Present Mic. Hawks, Best Jenaist, Fatgum, Mirio, Tamaki, Aizawa, and Mic sat around the edge staring as Hound Dog stood over a map projection. In the center of the table, Nezu sat with his paws on his feet, examining the map.

With his finger, Hound Dog drew a circle around a building. This is an abandoned factory on an old military base. When Nezu pulled up the schematics, we saw there was an underground laboratory. That means there is a place where nomu could be grown. I knew I could smell Fumikage Tokoyami in this facility."

He pulled out of his pocket a long tube. "This is a camera. I snuck around the facility until I found a crack to stick the camera in and observe from my phone. Watch this video."

Hound Dog displayed the video on the wide screen It was pixelated, clearly not meant for such a large screen. What could be made out was a room with a bright light. One or two nomus walking in the background. Several empty stands were off to the right. However, to the left, there was a closed tube filled with some sort of green liquid. Though the image wasn't clear, the broken beak and bird head made it easy to identify the figure in the tube as Fumikage Tokoyami.

"Are there things in Tokoyami's back?" Mic exclaimed.

"They're pickling the boy!" Fat Gum hollard.

"No," said Best Jeanist. "They are turning him into a nomu. This looks like the beginning stages of what I saw back when we rescued Bakugou in Kamino."

Hawks ran his fingers through his hair and gripped the ends. He was furious; furious at himself, and furious at the League. How could they do all this to a kid? Did this mean the Tokoyami was gone? Had they successfully killed his Mentee?

Fat turned to Best Jeanist, jaw ajar. "Does that mean they killed him?"

"Ragdoll was pulled from one of these alive. Do you think the same can be said about Tokoyami?" Aizawa asked. I can't believe he would go down without a fight."

Hound Dog cleared his throat and pointed to the screen. "Watch Tokoyami's left arm."

He played the video. All the heroes watched in silence. The first minute went by. The only movement being a nomu in the background. Then, Tokoyami's arm twitched. A dark purple mist glowed from his hand and it began whacking the edge of the glass. It then switched to punching the glass in front of him. The nomus noticed teh commotion and walked over to Tokoyami, who immediately placed his hand down. Hound Dog stopped the video.

"Was that just reflexes?" Ectoplasm asked.

Nezu shook his head. "It is unlikely for reflex to change directions. That seemed intentional."

Fat Gum couldn't contain his excitement. He stood up and cheered. "Yeah! I knew that kid would fight back!"

Hawks' eyes were fixed on the screen. A small smile crossed his face. "Good job, Tokoyami."

Mirio joined in on the cheering. "He's alive!"

"Yes," Aizawa said, standing up. "Then let's make a plan to get him out of there. We don't know how much longer he can fight."
