Ishiro, Akane, Dhuveena and Menma huddled into a corner, discussing a plan of action. Kakashi saw this and walked over, neither one of the genin made any moves.

"You know, you should find a better location…" Kakashi muttered, throwing four kunai, making all four of them disperse into spikes of ice, which all launched at Kakashi, shocking the latter. "Ice? Who can use ice, let alone clones made of ice?"

"I can." Ishiro said.

As Kakashi jumped back to dodge the spikes of ice, four clones of Menma emerged from the ground and attempted to grab onto all four of Kakashi's limbs, for Kakashi to jump up, which was already predicted, as a large hawk summoned by Dhuveena bore its claws at Kakashi, making him duck down, as Akane jumped to Kakashi's level, and slashed with her sword, cutting the string to the bells and taking them.

"Well well, you all pass." Kakashi congratulated, "Including you, Ishiro. The test was about teamwork, and it wouldn't have mattered if you didn't get the bells."

"Huh?" Dhuveena asked.

"As an old friend once said… In the shinobi world, those who break the rules are trash, but those who abandon their friends for the rules, are worse than trash." Kakashi stated.

"Yay, lets celebrate!" Menma exclaimed, making the rest of his teammates sweatdrop.

"I have to go…" Ishiro stated, leaving in a whirl of leaves.

"Well he's consistent at least." Kakashi stated, before disappearing himself. "Great work team, you are dismissed!"

-With Ishiro-

"Father… I've made friends, or at least comrades… I've gotten promoted to a rare rank… I just hope you're proud of me…" Ishiro stated in front of the tomb. "But I think this is just obsessive. I'll move on, I'm sorry, but I won't come here everyday anymore…" Ishiro then looked down onto the ground. "Mother… I-" Ishiro was about to speak, until he was placed into a vision of his parents' last moments.

-Ishiro's vision-

Fugaku and Kagura stood in front of a newborn Ishiro, both being impaled by one of the Nine-tail's claws, trying their best to shield Ishiro from the beast's savage attack. Before they died, Kagura began to weep.

"Ishiro… Listen well now… Don't be picky, eat lots and grow strong… Make sure you bathe everyday and stay warm… Also, don't stay up late… Make friends! You don't need that many, just a few, that you can really, really trust, and always hold them close to you, always protect them…" Kagura stopped to cough blood before continuing. "Remember to study and practice your ninjutsu hard… Oh, and this is important, the Three Prohibitions of Shinobi… Be extra careful about borrowing and lending money… Put your wages into your account… People would say no alcohol until you're twenty… But drink whenever you want to… Just drink in moderation… The last prohibition is about women… I'm a woman, so I don't know much about this but… All you need to remember is that the world is full of men and women… So it's natural that you get interested in any girls… Don't get hooked on a bad woman… Find someone like your mother… Speaking of the three prohibitions… Seek out Anko…" Kagura stopped to cough blood once again. "Ishiro… From now on, you are going to have to face a lot of pain and hardship… Be true to yourself… Have a dream and have the courage to make that dream come true… There's so much... Oh, so much more that I want to pass on to you... I wish I could stay with you longer… I love you." Kagura finished, before she and Fugaku slumped to the ground, dying.

Ishiro knelt on the ground, as tears streamed down his face. 'I promise you, kaa-san, I will do all that you had told me to…' He thought, before he stood up, and turned around, as Kakashi appeared.

"Well, should've known you'd be here, wanna have some ramen or something?" Kakashi offered, before Ishiro nodded.

Kakashi and Ishiro walked to the ramen bar, where Ayame took their order, right as a voice called from behind them.

"Oi, Kakashi! You actually passed a team?!" Kurenai asked from behind.

"Yeah, it has to happen at some point." Kakashi replied.

"Is that one of them?" Kurenai asked, pointing at Ishiro.
"No, Ishiro was the one promoted to elite genin, and he was assigned to my team this week." Kakashi explained, as Ishiro waved. Shortly after, the genin of Team 8 appeared behind Kurenai.

"Wait, Ishiro, my mom invited you to the Inuzuka Compound tonight, she says she wants to apologize or something…" Kiba said, with clear embarrassment in his voice.
