Several days after taking the commission, Aether went back to his apartment in Liyue. The events that transpired back then still bothered him. He needed some time to think about it. Paimon tried to make conversation in hopes of cheering Aether up but the fairy could not muster up the courage to do so. It was not until then that Aether spoke first.
"Hey Paimon, you're awfully quiet. Are you okay?" said Aether to the worrying fairy.
"I- I should be the one asking that Aether, but yes, I'm fine. I'm just worried about you seeing that your sister is allied with the Abyss Order." Paimon said.
"I… just have trouble taking all of it you know? It is hard Paimon but we can't dwell on it for too long. Anyways, why don't we have dinner for now? I'm starting to get hungry." Aether said.
"Alright then. I'm getting Jade Parcels!" Paimon said excitedly.
The two then went to Chihu Rock going to Wanmin Restaurant where Xiangling and Chef Mao cook. They are two great chefs that can deliver high expectations to their guests. They can even whip out special orders and make it for you on the spot which is a nice experience.
Upon arriving, Paimon and Aether sat next to the entrance and made their orders in which Xiangling complied. Aether ordered Squirrel Fish and Qingce Stir Fry while Paimon ordered Jade Parcels and Jueyun Chili Chicken. The two ate their fill and departed Wanmin Restaurant shortly afterwards, waving their goodbyes to Xiangling and Chef Mao. Paimon and Aether went for a quick stroll around Liyue. First, they went to Feiyun Slope then they went to Yujing Terrace. They passed by Madame Ping and chatted for a bit and went to Yuehai Pavilion.
The scenery was beautiful at nighttime as you could see the stars in the sky clearly and that you can see Guyun Stone Forest and Chihu Rock in the distance. Aether noticed that the pavilion's lights were out, assuming that everyone already went home for the day. He stared into the distance, leaning against the stone railing overlooking Chihu Rock, being deep in his thoughts. Paimon simply took in the night scenery, from the warm lights to the still waters of the harbor.
"Lumine… I do not understand. What should I expect at the end of my journey? What do I do? "What do you mean 'We always have time?'" Aether muttered to himself while trying not to cry.
It was then that he heard footsteps behind them. A purple haired girl appeared before him. It was the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing, Keqing.
