Act 1: Forgotten
Look I know the last was one was short and had some very similar plot to xc2
The first act was kind of hard for me to think of, so I'll just borrow some plot from it.

Chapter 3
I'm pretty sure I was dead. I had a sword run through my heart and I was bleeding a lot, but for some reason, I didn't feel pain, the area where the sword pierced through was just cold. I slumped to the floor, dizzy from the loss of blood. Jess was yelling at Silverius "How could you kill her!" she exclaimed "You could've just kicked her out you know!". ""Please, I've killed a lot of people in my lifetime, another one wouldn't matter." He simply replied. "I can't believe you're this disgusting, you can just go around killing people!" she furiously ranted."Calm down Jess" the man said. "No you shut up Corvin! " she snapped back. Meanwhile I was lying on the ground, wondering what Silverius said, my lifetime? How long could that be? Suddenly, something fast moved in and struck Corvin so hard he got launched out of his chair. "What th-" Silverius managed to say before he had to counter the stranger's sword. I looked at him and realized that it was the figure I saw before boarding the vessel.
The stranger sparred with Silverius with lightning fast moves, impressively, Silverius could keep up with him. I felt someone pick me up and drag me somewhere, it was Jess. "Alright give me a few seconds to heal you" she raised her hands and immediately I felt better, but still weak. My sword fell out of my grasp when I tried to draw it to counter Silverius. Suddenly the sword changed its form, becoming longer and more decorated. Silverius noticed this and grunted "So it is you old man, I've never had a fight this intense in ages." he swung his sword and knocked back the stranger who simply returned fire with some sort of magic that froze him and Corvin. He quickly gestured at us to follow him and Jess practically had to drag me most of the way. "I-I'm fine, I can walk now"I tried standing up and the world spun. She caught me and held me up. "Do you both have some way to escape out of here?" the stranger asked. "No we have no escape craft and the pressure is too high down here." Jess said. "I suppose there is only one way out" and he pressed his fingers to his temples. Immediately we all heard a roar so loud it shook the ship. "Alright I hope you have some oxygen tanks or suits to breathe." I activated mine and Jess put on a helmet she found. She called her blade to her which turned out to be a small human like figure with a hood on so I couldn't see its eyes. "The names Zero" He said "No time for introductions!" the stranger said. "Alright everyone get ready" he did something I had never seen before, he encased his fist in some white energy and punched through the wall of the sub, water started to flow in and alarms blared overhead. We swam out and immediately felt the pain from the pressure, then I saw a sea serpent charging towards us. "Oh great, we're dead" I thought, but as it got closer it looked so familiar. "Gran!" I shouted. Unfortunately, she carried us using her mouth. "Hold tight we all heard!" she said. Cannons from the ship fired at us, and we could hear some of them hitting Gran, and every time something hit she just grunted and swam faster.
Suddenly, I felt weak again and blood started gushing out of my wound again. "How?! I just healed you, you should be fine?" Jess cried. "It's that damn bastard's sword, he had something on it that makes the wound unhealable" the stranger replied. "There is one way to save you though" He took something off his chest and Jess gasped and scooted away from him"You! Yo-you're th-" "Yes I am now shut up if you want me to heal her." he grabbed my hand and placed it on something I couldn't see and I just blacked out.
I woke up on an island. That may not seem like much but islands were very rare in the Sea of Chaos where most of the land had sank millenia ago. I saw that this island was part of an archipelago, high island cliffs surrounded my island. I looked around and I saw the stranger. I walked up to him and asked the most obvious question "Am I dead?" He simply chuckled and replied "No, though you came close". "What is this place?" I asked "And if it's above the Sea of Chaos, shouldn't it be more, you know chaotic?" "This is a place where I came from, where once it was peaceful, but I ask you something, do you wish to live?" he asked "Of course I do!, who wouldn't?" "But why do you wish to live?" That question made me pause, I thought about it. "To protect. Protect who I love most and the world, that's why I took the job as a pilot." "Very well" he said "I shall let you come back but on one condition, you help me come here" "Deal, but at least tell me your name," I said. "My name is Avalon and all you need to do is touch the crystal on my chest, but be warned I give you a choice, you can stay dead and rest easy or you can come with me for a future of pain,death but possibility." he warned. I saw the crystal on his chest and exclaimed "You're a blade?" "I am more than that, but place your hand on the crystal if you want to honor our deal." And so I placed my hand on his gold colored crystal and it began to shine brighter and I felt something on my chest….. "Now is the time to wake" was the last thing heard him say before I blacked out again.

So as the first act is done, do you want me to continue onto act 2 or should I just retire? Though I admit the second chapter didn't feel right
