{Last time on Max Steel: The Next Gen;
"Spark! You know what ultralink we got?!" Ethan asked as he was dodging the flying debris.
"Ethan?" Spark asked.
"Yeah?" Ethan replied with curiosity.
" It's Mega Metal Elementor" Spark said with an anxious voice
"Oh scrap!" Ethan replied with eyes wide open and no plan to defeat the beast of an ultralink. }
"Oh look, it's the puny offspring of my arch enemy Max Steel." Mega Metal Elementor said with a deep voice.
"What would my dad do if he went against this guy?" Ethan asked Spark.
"Calm down, and remember what your dad said." Spark replied.

"Remember this Ethan, when you are ready to become the next Max Steel. Don't think about how I would have handled the situation, you'll stress yourself out and you might lose the battle. Think about how you will handle it, you're a very smart kid Ethan. Then and only then will you be able to defeat your enemies, and you'll be the best superhero you can possibly imagine."

"Alright, I got it. I remember my dad telling me that when he battled these ultralinks, he shot at the cores on his head. So we just have to wait for an opening and take the shot. But first contact Dad, and then contact HQ. The ultralinks only attacked the holding cells and the first two levels. The weapons area is on level three, so ask if they can get the containment fields." Ethan said to Spark as they were dodging flying debris from left and right.
"K, got it. Already contacted….. Ethan?
"Yeah?"
"Where's Mr. 5 brains?" They saw half of the pier fuming with smoke and ash. It had been completely scorched. Just then, Mega Metal Elementor picked up the giant piece of rubble that Ethan and Sparker were hiding behind, and threw it straight at them. They quickly dodged, but found themselves in the hands of Mega Metal himself. Each couple of seconds tightening his grip on our heroes.
"A.. RGH! Sparker get…ready to…go Turbo Pulse! " Ethan said, as he was trying to breathe despite the crushing pressure of MME's fist.
"GO TURBO… PULSE!" Ethan exclaimed. As quick as the transformation, BOOM BOOM, BOOM BOOM, went his Turbo Pulse. Or at least that's what it felt like to MME. MME suddenly let them go while he clutched his head as the pain grew. Ethan and Sparker immediately drew back as they thought of a plan.
"Hey E, I've got an idea."
"What is it Spark?"
"I remember Steel telling me about a battle he and your dad had with some Elementors way back when. Their weak spot is the orb on their head."
"OK, are you sure you wanna do it? I thought you didn't…
" Hurry up before I change my mind! "
" OK ok. Let's do this!"
"GO TURBO… BOOMERANG!" Ethan and Sparker exclaimed as they immediately transformed back to normal Turbo mode. Ethan generated enough Turbo energy into Sparker so that they could successfully defeat Mega Metal Elementor. Sparker increased speed as he continued to make his way to the orb on MME's head.
"AAAAGGGGHHHHhhhhhh…." MME cried out as he then was knocked out because of his Achilles heel. Sparker unlinked with Ethan's suit and then exclaimed
"HA HA! IN YO FACE ULTRALINKS!" which resulted in a laugh from Ethan.
"You said it ro-bro!" Ethan said as he high fived his ro-bro.
"Excuse me? Excuse me?!" someone exclaimed. Ethan and Sparker turned around to see a group of reporters asking them questions.
"Who are you guys." "Where did you come from?" "Are you the next Max Steel?"
"Yes""No". Ethan and Spark said at the same time. "Will yah let me talk?" Ethan asked Spark, and Spark gave him a no, by shaking his head. Then Ethan let out a small frustrated sigh.
"Yes and no. I am the son of Max Steel, but I like to go by E-Spark. Either one is ok with me." Ethan stated.
"There you have it folks! The new Max Steel, aka E-Spark! Another beloved hero of Copper Canyon!" a random news reporter reported to the live audience.
"Well.." Ethan started as Spark finished saying, "if you'll excuse us." as they transformed into Turbo Flight mode and flew back home. Once they did, Ethan immediately took out his phone to call Emily to see if she was ok.
"Emily? Hey are you ok?"
"Yeah,I'm ok. Are you?"
"Yeah, I'm sorry I left you like that. I went to try to get some help."
"It's fine. I'm just glad you're ok."
Ethan chuckled then said under his breath, "Some first date, huh?" Then blush rose to his cheeks, and because the line went silent for a few seconds, he was starting to think that Emily heard him.
" I'm sorry, I had to check on my little brother. Did you say something Etahn?"
"Uh n-no. I didn't. I'll see you at school tomorrow."
"Ok, see yah! Bye!"
"Bye"

Ethan let out a long sigh, before he got ready for bed. He put on his pajamas, and layed in bed staring at the ceiling. It's almost crazy what happened in a day, first he went to school, second he received an emergency alert from N-Tek and found it being attacked by ultralinks, then he became the next Max Steel. Ethan couldn't believe it, in one day he went from a regular high school student to the next hero of Copper Canyon. Today was a lot for a 17 year-old boy, and this boy needed some rest, especially if he was going to be battling ultralinks in the future.
