Russell sighs for the tenth time. He's been working non-stop to hatch the best plan of action to mess with the timeline. Even if they were messing around, it doesn't hurt to be careful.
Aife had been a surprise. Honestly, if he hadn't listened to his friend talking about FGO and how Aife should be an available servant, then he would have mistaken her for Scathach.
Still, finding out that the servant was suffering existential crisis was an eye-opener. The world of mythology was vast, it had many heroes, but most of them were less known.
Aife was the prime example, despite being a hero. She was less known compared to her twin. So he thought of how many more heroes had gone under her shoes. His bad luck was likely the reason he even summoned her.
Scathach was the one he summoned, but his luck interfered, and Aife heard his call and took that opportunity.
"You're over reaching you're opponent!" Aife yelled. "That's not a kick! That's just throwing your damn leg!"
Turning to his window, he saw Karla and Aife sparring, or in this case, training. Karla had requested Aife to train her, which was surprising. He knows the Kure was an expert fighter, but her fights were human or superhuman. Facing a servant was like trying to match a nuke missile with a peashooter.
She might win against some servants, but that was fifty-fifty.
Now here she was, trying vainly to hit Aife. The servant was happy, but she was strict with her. She was a perfectionist. Anything Karla does that looks sloppy. She will point it out like a drill sergeant. And her method of training was unique.
Most would let any mistakes happen before fixing them, but Aife would intercept any of those and correct them. Like Karla's punch, the moment it reached its peak. She would seize it and change it to a better position than it suited to Karla's rhythm.
It was like she knows what style fits you more. The minor changes she made had given her more speed and power than her original style.
She wasn't just enhancing Karla's fighting style. She was remodeling it to suit the user.
Russell even noticed himself during his fight. She wasn't just fighting him that night; she was guiding him. His swordsmanship had improved. His abuse of Observe gave him a pseudo-photographic memory. His style had improved by 50%.
Scathach's equal indeed.
Still, this begs the question, what did Aife want? They already told her about the grail's corruption.
Watching the spar, Karla finally drops on her knees, completely exhausted, sweat dripping all over her body.
Okay, he's scared. If Aife can make a Kure almost pass out from training, then imagine what she'll do to a deathmatch. Even his spar with Karla or any Kure barely had any sweat, and he dragged those fights for hours.
"So, any idea on what your going to do with Sakura?" Gin asked, emerging through a portal.
"Sigh, I don't know. I know how her life was and would be, but now? I don't know what I should do. I just wanted to check if Gilgamesh was any threat to me, but seeing her state personally, I just snapped."
If anyone said Gin smiled, he would wipe their memories. Despite his hate for his in-law. Russell was a good man, a good, psychopathic, megalomaniac man. Which was weird, as most would go evil and start making everyone miserable, but for him? All it did just made Russell a bit more open.
"That's what makes you special, Rory. Most of our kind would have taken this opportunity and mold her to their ideal waifu."
Russell glared at him. "Like hell, I'm gonna be some piss of shit who's desperate." He growled. "And I believe you." Gin said. "You don't have to decide it immediately, but Sakura shouldn't get involved with this, with us. We're in a war zone."
Looking at the albino, Russell took a deep breath. "You think she'll be safe with Him?" He asked. Gin nodded. "Better him than us. At least she'll have a normal life, a life she deserves." He said.
Russell laughed. "I never thought I'd see the day we agree on something."
Gin smiled before looking at the sky. "How's Viola? Is everyone okay?" Russell asked. He needed closure. "She's fine, but your parents... They never stop looking for you. He'll even Jackie, never stopped looking even when he's in college." The striped-hair adult flinched. His parents, bless their souls, didn't deserve what they were going through. His mother was blaming herself for his 'death.' His dad was probably pushing himself.
"How did you die?" Gin asked.
Russell looked lost. To this day, he still can't figure out his death. There weren't any trucks, guns, wounds, nothing. It was like he got snatched out of existence.
"I don't know, one minute I was going groceries, the next I was Gamer in another world."
"Wait, what? Come to think of it, the police went to investigate that place and found a footage of you."
"Excuse me?"
"The cops went to the last place you went and found a recording. I was the one who saw it since your parents were far away that time, so I volunteered."
"So what happened that day?"
This time Gin looks just as confused as him. "That's the weirdest part. The camera just started glitching the moment you came out. The police were at least able to tell that you weren't alone."
This Russell's eyes narrowed, rage slowly building up. "What?" He growled.
Oblivious to his anger, Gin answered. "There someone else with you that time. So they thought it was a kidnapping or an abduction since the culprit didn't make any demands."
BAM!
"I'LL KILL THAT SON OF A BITCH!" Russell roared, throwing a punch to a wall. Even if this person gave him his Gamer, Russell would flay him alive and drop him in the ocean. Rage and bloodlust were visible in the air. Russell was so angry that he had entered Limitless Demon mode by instinct.
The rest of the group rushed to them, but Gin quickly stopped them and explained everything. Russell huffed before he entered his dungeon with the hardest difficulty.
"You know I feel sorry for the poor sod who just angered master." Aife said. Karla and Blaire agreed they already saw how Russell treated his enemies. And this person didn't just piss him off. He officially reached top 1 on Russell's most hated list, and that's hard because Gin was on top.
Within the dungeon, the NPCs had gained sentience that the sight of Russell's enraged state caused them to run away upon seeing him.
Karla and Blaire had to deal with the constant notifications about Russell leveling up.
When he finally calmed down, Russell came out looking like he came out of DOOM.
Out of habit, he checked his stats.

ARE YOU NUTS!? Ahem, Congrats, you broke the damn dungeon. I don't know what else to say. Congrats, asshole, you just made my job a living hell.
Russell laughed nervously. He was never this angry but finding out that he never died and the news of family had just opened the damn. He couldn't help it.
"You good?" Gin asked, sitting on a sofa drinking a lemonade.
"Satisfied?"
"Not even a little."
Gin raised an eyebrow as if he was debating on his answer. "Well, it's almost time for our debut, so you better get ready."
"Thanks." Russell then left to change his clothes. "Wait, who's going to watch Sakura?"
"Oh, don't worry, my clone is taking her to the park."
"How long would it last?" Russell asked.
"Give or take five hundred years if he doesn't take a fatal injury."
Russell whistled, now that is a clone.
Timeskip
Russell was now under his Butcher attire with a minor change. Robe of the Ogre a plague doctor mask. The emperor had replaced his kevlar armor, Great Ouroboros, as his gloves.
"Are you ripping off Chisaki or something?" Gin asked.
"Nah, just a coincidence." Russell shrugs. After all, in his eyes, criminals with no reason are nothing but diseases to be cleansed. Most of his targets were human traffickers, rapists, loan sharks, and molesters.
Drugs and weapon smuggling were some things he put little focus on. What's the point, anyway? Even if he destroyed those, people can't change unless he traumatized them, and they knew what they were doing.
He was monologuing again. Damn, he thought he got rid of that. "Master, everyone is in position," Aife said, coming out of her astral form. "Should I introduce myself?"
Russell shakes his head. "Not until Diarmuid, makes the call. Once that happens, we wait for Artoria that's when you move."
And so they waited until Diarmuid cause a small energy pulse. A few more hours, Artoria and Irisviel appeared. "That's your signal, go get 'em."
Aife nodded and jumped down. Russell watched his servant fall and noticed something was different in the air. He just can't put his finger on it.
Aife P.O.V.
The warrior queen dropped herself to the ground. However, her mind was on her master. He figured out her true identity in a single day. This act had gained him her loyalty and coupled with his strength. For centuries, everyone ignored or forgot her name. It was always her sister; she was her equal, but no one recognized except her defeat against that man.
Her hatred for him had no limit. He humiliated her with his dirty trick. No doubt her sister had a hand on it. Made her bear him a son, only to kill him!
She loved that boy with every ounce of her being. Hearing demise was already heavy, but finding out the same man who defeated her was responsible. If she ever has a chance in finding him, she will castrate him to eternity.
Back to her master, she silently wished he had been born in her era. The queen of Alba thought of many battles they could have taken part in and maybe had a child together.
She shook off her thoughts; he gave her a task. If her focus isn't on the mission, then she will bring nothing but shame.
The servant of lances noticed her as well. "Oya? I wasn't aware that there would be an eighth servant."
Aife scoffed, arrogance and pride presented to everyone. "Then you thought poorly, Lancer, I'm Aife, Queen of Alba, rival of Scathach."
Her announcement surprised everyone. Every servant knows that revealing their name means opening many doors how to be taken down. However, her master realized her advantage. Because they obscured her legend, no one knows how to beat her, and her chariot and horses are noble phantasms. Which that the trick used in the past was no longer valid.
"Ho... to face against the sister of the Queen of Shadow is an honor. Unfortunately, my master has forbidden me from giving my name."
"I understand Lancer, however, due forgive my master for using trickery."
Diarmuid frowned. "I thought you warriors had a code of honor." Saber said. Aife laughed. "Oh, we do Saber but remember the name of this battle. Holy grail war, not holy grail duel. In my master's eyes, honor has no place in war however he won't involve the civilians." Aife said.
Both servants frowned, totally on edge, eyes looking for her master. It was true there wasn't a rule on how they should engage in combat. They only chose how they approach it. In war, there was no honor.
Even Saber knew this. For all her chivalry, she had used deceit frequently. Even Diarmuid's king was no exception.
Kayneth scoffed at the idea of disgraced magi using cheap tricks, while Kiritsugu quickly placed Aife's master in one of his top priorities.
"I see, then it is unfortunate you have master like him." Diarmuid said.
"On the contrary, it is refreshing to hear him talk about his view in honor and chivalry."
Artoria took a deep breath. Whoever this master is, they had a twisted view, but she sure they and Kiritsugu would get along.
"But enough of this. We are not here to banter. We're here to battle." Aife went to her battle stance, so did Diarmuid.
Artoria summoned her armor before readying herself. All three waited for the first move. And the first one to move was Artoria, her target? Aife.
Aife deflects the first blow before countering it with her second weapon. Artoria blocks it with her gauntlet. Diarmuid joins in the fight as he tries to strike Aife through her open side. But the warrior queen dodges it and tries to stab Diarmuid through his back. However, the lancer dodges the blow before being intercepted by Artoria.
The three servants battled, occasionally working together. However, all of them can tell that this battle has just begun.
"Excellent! Lancer, you truly have earned your place as a lancer." Aife said with a crazed grin. "As do you Aife, your ferocity and skill with those weapons rivals your beauty."
Aife smirked before charging in. "Try this!" She thrusts her spear, which multiplied to twenty. "Is this her noble phantasm? No, I didn't sense any signs of it being activated. Then this is raw skills, she's able to mimic a noble phantasm through skill alone."
Diarmuid braced himself for the incoming blows. But Artoria comes in and blows Aife with her wind. The foreign servant spun around before landing on the crates.
"HAHAHA! I never had this much fun in ages. Come, let us dance some more!" She said, bloodlust erupting into the air. Saber and Lancer jump backed as they sensed the danger coming towards them.
Aife brutally drop kicks Diarmuid before jumping off and attacks Saber. The ground they stood upon turns into a crater.
"Ora, ora, ora, ora! What's the matter, Saber!? You're slowing down!"
Saber remained stoic. "She's good, she's not giving me any counter."
Iskandar's POV.
"Is she a berserker?" Rider muttered. The amount of bloodlust the woman was showing was a clear sign. But she just doesn't fit in that criteria.
He watched the woman stomp ground, creating a column of ice, heading straight for lancer, as she went melee with Saber.
"This is unreal, she's taking them both on like its nothing."
"Boy, what do you know of Aife?" Rider asked. "Only the basics like being a rival to her sister Scathach, losing to Cu Chulainn and having a son with him."
"I see they rarely mentioned her legend, making it obscured that even knowing her name is not enough."
Rider said.
"But you can take her, right?" Waver asked. "HAHA! Of course, I'm a rider, my mobility is greater than any of these servants."
Saber quickly moves back as she saw Diarmuid on the move towards her.
Aife turns and blocks the spear Diarmuid wields in his right hand while Artoria dodges his left hand.
All three stopped planning their next move. Aife received a cut from Artoria while Diarmuid was sporting a bruise, and Artoria had a scratch from Diarmuid. Both spear wielders agreed Artoria had the advantage so long as they don't know her weapon. But Aife was getting a feel on how long it was.
Russell's POV
Russell watched his servant fight with glee. "See? I told you she can handle it." He said. "She's having fun too."
Gin shakes his head. "Okay, you win this one. So when will we strike?"
"What are you doing, Lancer!?" Kayneth yelled. "Don't let this drag this battle out any further. Defeat them now."
"Yes, master." Diarmuid then unravels his weapons. As the fight resumes for a few more minutes. Iskandar came with his master and the events of fate zero happened.
Russell grins. "Girls?" He called.
"Yes?"
"It's time."
Kayneth P.O.V.
After he ordered his servant to reveal his noble phantasm, a child no older than seventeen appeared out of nowhere and started attacking.
"Who are you!?"
"Someone who wants your command seals."
Kayneth scoffed before ordering his mystic code to attack. The child easily avoided them before several pumpkins appeared.
Sensing the danger, he quickly covers himself with magecraft. When the blast settled, Kayneth glared at the culprit.
"Hi~" The witch-themed woman sang while having her hand.
Kiritsugu POV
Seeing the explosion caused the magus killer to shift his view. "Maya, what's happening?" He asked. "Someone is attacking Lancer's master."
Aife's master was already on the move?
"Any descriptions?"
"One is an adult with purple hair while the other is a sixteen-year-old."
The magus killer frowned that there was a teen in the war. He was about to tell Maya his plan. A gust of wind stops him, followed by a man with a striped hair color appearing in front, followed by another with white hair.
"Hey, pleasant weather we're having."
Silence.
"Seriously, Rory?"
"Oh, like you got anything better to say."
Kiritsugu wasted no time and jumped over the rail.
"Oh no, you don't." The albino raised his hand and stopped the magus killer's fall.
Noticing he can still move, he turns and fires his gun. He wasn't expecting the man's companion to swat the bullet like a fly.
"Hey man, we just your command seals." The stripped-haired stranger said.
Clicking his tongue, he grabs a flash bomb, taking the two in surprise.
"MY EYES!"
As his descent resumes, the master of saber turns. "Time alter: Triple accel!" He chanted. Time slowed down for him and before he reached the ground, he quickly pushes himself landing in a trash bin.
Avalon was already fixing his injuries, making him able to run somewhere.
Aife POV.
She blocks Lancer, and Saber's blow before disengaging. "Aife, have you no honor!?" Diarmuid yelled. "You would dare attack my master in our sacred duel?"
"Diarmuid, I warned you, did I not? My master sees no honor in war. And is it deceit if your masters know it's coming? He could have attacked your master without you knowing anything."
The two frowned but can't find any rebuke. Their masters knew such an act was possible however, in Diarmuid's case, his master just simply believed such an act would not happen.
"Still, you have a shrewd master, Aife." Diarmuid said.
"As do yours, Diarmuid."
Then he appeared. "In a single night, not one but two insolent knaves dare call themselves kings in my presence."
All four stared at the man in gold. Everyone can tell that out of all of them this one was the most dangerous. There was no sound as the staredown continued. Until Gin's voice echoed.
"Hey, Gilgamesh... OH SHIT! Its Gilgamesh, we're fucked RORY!"
"DAMN IT GIN! YOU BLEW OUR COVER!"
Here we go, the third chapter of this fanfic. What do you think? Write your reviews and which Gilgamesh should I use in the next chapter? You can answer in the poll. Take care and have a nice day.
