The days worked the same as they did in the human world. Luz had been stuck on the isles for 8 months ever since the portal got destroyed.
"What are you doing Luz?" King asked
Today is Mother's Day in the human world, but it's also in the witch world I checked the calendar. That means I have to do something nice for Eda." Luz said. She was in her room. A piece of paper in front of her. She was carefully making a card.
"Alright I'm done with the card" Luz said. "What do you think?"
King came over to look. One the card was a picture of Luz and Eda. It read. "Happy Mother's Day to my second mom"
"It's hideous" king said but Luz ignored him.
"Alright on with the next thing" Luz said. She got up and went downstairs king fallowed.
"What are you doing?" King asked.
"Making Eda breakfast!" Luz chirped.
"Don't you already do that?" King said.
It's different this time. Usually we have eggs, bacon or sausage, but today I'm making waffles!" Luz said.
"What the heck is a waffle?" King asked.
"Just you wait king!" Luz said. She went to the pantry and found the waffle maker. Eda probably had no idea what is was. Then the found the ingredients for waffles. While doing this she started singing Hamilton because why not.
Right as Luz finished Eda came into the kitchen. "Why the heck am I hearing Hamilton at nine in the morning?"
"Good morning Eda!" Luz said. "Happy Mother's Day!"
Eda finally realized what was happening. " Luz you didn't have to do all this"
"But I wanted too!" Luz smiled. She grabbed Eda's arm. "Come sit down "
"What is this?" Eda said once Luz put a waffle in front of her."
"It's a waffle trust me it's really good" Luz said.
"Yeah it is!" King said his mouth stuffed with waffle.
Eda took a bite. " ok a trusted you and you were right. This is good."
Luz smiled. "Oh I almost forgot!" She hands the card to Eda.
Eda reads it. She looks and Luz and smiles. Thank you Luz."
"I knew you would like it!" Luz said she gave Eda hug.
