Chapter 3: Harsh truth Dr. Tank: "Yoshi, I'm ready for you to come in."
Yoshi: "Ok Tank! How Birdo? How much it cost?"
Dr Tank: "About $150"
Yoshi: "Me went home and got it! Here!" (Yoshi gives Tank the money)
Dr Tank: "Honestly Yoshi, Why did you pay for a servant of Wart!?"
Yoshi: "Birdo was freezing. Me found her crying. How could I leave her there to die? Well how is she?"
Dr. Tank: "First off, her mouth was sealed shut. Looks like a genetic mutation from birth. A few of her organs were damaged from the cold. I will need to perform surgery on her. With that being said, I'm not sure if you could even call Birdo a she."
Yoshi: "What that mean? Birdo is a boy? But her nose is a girls nose!"
Dr Tank: "You've never heard of swyer syndrome have you?"
Yoshi: "What that?"
Dr. Tank: "That is the condition in which a boy is born with girl parts. Nose, face, shape, even the voice sounds like a girl. But all his insides are normal. Can't have any kids. In fact, you're unable to tell a swyer boy apart from a normal girl. Even the boy doesn't know "she" is actually a boy until an x-ray"
Yoshi: "That mean! I gonna call Birdo a girl! It not her fault! She born with girl parts, she a girl! Just cause of some stupid swyer syndrome!"
Dr. Tank: "Call it what you will, I'm just warning you not to get any ideas."
Yoshi: "What that supposed to mean?"
Dr. Tank: "The law of Yoshi's island says marriage is for the purpose of reproducing. It is illegal for you two to kiss."
Yoshi: "Why does everyone think me wanna kiss Birdo? I not even know her! Besides, the type of girl Yoshi want not even exist anyway."
Dr. Tank: "Whatever. I will unseal the flesh from her mouth and fix her organs. It will take up to a week to complete all the surgery. If I am right about her mouth being sewn shut since birth, she will not know how to talk, but she will be able to understand."
Yoshi: "I teach her!"
Dr. Tank: "I advise against it, but I ain't your papa. Because she is young, each organ I fix, she must have at least 14 hours to recover. You can come in at times 6-9PM. You can try tomorrow."
Yoshi: "Alright! Me gonna do that! Bye Tank!"
(Yoshi leaves the hospital) Dr Tank: "If it wasn't my job I guarantee I wouldn't be doing this Birdo!"
(A tear falls from Birdo's eye)
Dr Tank: "A servant of Wart is not to be-…" (He notices a tear.) "Well. We'll see how you turn out."
(Back to Yoshi. He walks outside where he is greeted by Boshi)

(Penny, the light yellow Yoshi comes in)
