Amends of those who have wronged us
Nobody is sure how it happened, after all, it's not something somebody can stumble on easily. You know, one minute there is a 5'6 woman in her office and in a second there is now a 3'4 kid in her place. The girl looked around her office in fear, where was she? Where was Lex? Her father? "Daddy?" she called, she tried to get up but her clothing drowned her. Despite the fact it had shrunk quite a bit, it wasn't kid friendly in length. Especially someone as short as baby Lena. "Daddy?" she called again. He did work in an office and the screen said L-Corp, although Lena heard her Daddy call it LuthorCorp.
The door suddenly flew open and Lena screamed, she jumped and turned around to see… her mother? "Oh ..hello," the woman said with a frown. "I didn't realize Lena was babysitting," she said.
Lena frowned and opened her mouth to speak but somebody else walked in, "Excuse me, but I don't need permission to see my daughter— oh my god L-" Lillian stopped talking and stared at Little Lena.
"Right. Sorry Miss Luthor," Jess said and she then walked out. Lillian walked over to the girl and Lena stared at her.
"Mummy?" Lena asked as she shivered a little.
"Hello …Lena," Lillian said with a confused look on her face. How was this her Lena? "What-what are you doing here?" she asked.
"I-I don't know. Mummy, I'm scared. I went sleep and then I woke'd up and I'm here!" Lena said. Her green eyes filling with tears as she tried to get to Lillian. Lillian looked at the little girl again and hesitantly picked her up. Lena latched into Lillian, not even caring she would probably get told off later for being too emotional.
"Oh. Okay," Lillian looked around and placed Lena on the couch. She then took the huge dress off her daughter and saw how thin Little Lena truly was. She was small for her age, a bit on the too thin side and her hair was shoved in a quick ponytail. What on Earth happened.
Lena shivered as she was only in her panties and hugged herself. Lillian found Lena's (big, adult Lena's) jacket and coat hung up. Lillian grabbed them and put her jacket on the younger version of her daughter and picked her up.
Of course. We have Aliens and now people turning back time into kids, she thought bitterly.
At Lex's mansion (yes Lillian knew about it, it was her sons and she helped him come up with the password) Lillian set Lena on the sofa and went to get a drink of anything strong. "Mummy, where's Daddy and Lex?" Lena asked as she walked into the huge kitchen. Lillian stiffened.
"Lione— Daddy is on a work trip Lena and… Lex is with him," Lillian lied. Lena cocked her head and frowned at her mother.
"Lex went with daddy? He hates work trips. He told me once. He don't want any'fing to do with the work much," Lena said with a sigh. "When I was sad he would come into my room and tell me all the things he wanted!" she smiled at the memories.
Lillian grabbed her hand and pulled her upstairs (it was natural to her, what she used to do years ago when Lena was naturally six years old) and into her old bedroom. Lena held back a cry at the normal treatment from her mother. Lillian heard the little sniffle and turned to see she was holding Lena's wrist a bit too hard for the child's fragile bone and promptly let go. Lena held her wrist and wiped some tears away. "I'm…. sorry Lena," Lillian said. Lena looked surprised as she held her wrist to her body. Since when did her mummy apologize for hurting her? It was usually her Daddy or Lex that said sorry for her.
"Why are you 'pologising?" Lena asked softly. Lillian didn't know what to say, this was all knew to her. She was never close to Lena when she was younger. All that she had told her at prison was true, she did gravitate to Lex because of Lionel. However, it was because she knew that Lionel had cheated on her. She didn't want that constant reminder and ego bruiser to be around her all the time.
"Because I hurt you. A mother shouldn't hurt their child. No matter what," Lillian replied. She didn't look at the shocked girl, just tried to see if there was anything left behind. This place hadn't been used in years.
She almost missed Lena's small, heartbreaking reply. "But you do," she whispered, a tear falling down her cheek. Lillian held back her own tears – she wouldn't cry, no matter how much she has changed and how badly she wants to try again and look after Lena – and kneeled down. She hugged her tightly and Lena flinched a little at the contact. A lone tear fell slowly down her cheek as she hugged the little girl.
"And I am so sorry about that Lena. I will try and do better," she said sadly. "Come on little miss. Let's get you dressed. I found some pajamas from when you were five. They should fit seeing how small you are," Lena nodded and wiped her tears away.
"Okay mummy," she said. Lena walked off and rubbed her eyes, she was a little tired.
Lillian watched her go and let out a shaky breath. "I am so sorry for all the pain I caused you. If only I didn't have an ego the size of the ocean," she said to herself. "I will help you this time. Let's get our girl back," she grabbed Lena's phone (she had snatched it from her office) and found Kara D. and pressed the contact. Don't ask how she knew her daughters password. She knew that Kara Danvers had an FBI (DEO maybe) sister and said agent had a cop girlfriend.
She would save her daughter. Find out who did this. Why they did this. However for now, she would take care for Lena. Like she should have. "Mummy! Can I have some hel— wait second! I have it," Lena yelled. Lillian heard the slight fear in her voice and concluded that she was scared to ask for help. That's when it hit her.
The last time she could remember Lena asking her for help as a child was when she had been living with them for a year. She was five and wanted help with something at kindergarten (did they go kindergarten at 5?) and Lillian had yelled at her because "Luthors don't need help! We solve things on our own because in the real world people will stab you in the back without mercy!" and then proceed to be horrible for an hour.
Lillian thought back at how she treated Lena back then. All because Lionel cheated. "It's okay honey! I'll be there in a minute!" Lillian replied. She set the phone down; maybe she can enjoy it for the day.
