(BEASTBOY'S PERSPECTIVE)
"TELL ME WHERE TO FIND PROFESSOR CHANG!" a female nearly strangled a man's neck.
"I- I don't even know who you're talking about!" the man cried.
"Yo! What's your deal?"
Cyborg cocked out his canon and shot towards the criminal.
She held up the man in front of her, allowing him to soak up all the cybernetic energy.
The lady slammed the male on the ground and stepped right over him.
The female had chalky long hair and a mask over most of her face. One side of the mask was orange and the other was sable. Her uniform was shiny and dark besides the light blue parts of her arm and torso. Grey patches reinforced her knees, metatarsals, shoulders, elbows, and outer thighs. She had dual katanas, knives, and daggers at hand.
She reminds me of Slade for some reason.
"A new villain means a new ballgame." Robin cracked his knuckles.
"Tell me about it." Cyborg aimed at his target, this time more hesitant.
"Who are you? Why are you hurting such innocent people?" Starfire's eyes lit up.
"That's what villains do honey."
She dusted off her hands and trotted closer to us.
"Do you ever oughta think, where would I be without the bad guys? Would I uselessly sit and wallow with my superpowers? Would I be forced to live a normal life? You all owe us a lotta credit and don't even realize." she smiled cunningly.
"Um... sure? I mean, when I think about that depressing type of stuff I just eat tofu and play video games. I also have a short attention span so I don't really sit and 'wallow'." I responded, tapping my chin.
"Well, breaking news Titans, I am going to make you sit and wallow today."
Her metal shoes crushed the pebbly cement.
"Quit small talking," Robin scolded me, "Who are you and why are you here!" he yelled at the lady.
"My name defines me perfectly. Ravager: to cause severe and extensive damage to. Damage, destruction. The perfect way to claim what is mine and earn back my father's name."
She smirked and stepped up to Robin's face.
She curled her hand into a fist, gave Robin an uppercut.
His spine crushed against the ground in an instant.
"She's Slade's daughter." Raven revved up her powers.
"Obviously." I glanced at her mask and recalled my connection earlier.
"Titans, go!" Cyborg yelled, being the first one to charge towards Ravager.
The half-robot blasted at Ravager a few times, missing her because of her quick backflips.
Cyborg grunted and jumped in the air.
"HGGGGGGRAHHHH!" he attempted to slam his electric fist into Ravager.
She adroitly took his hand, elbowed him in the ribcage, flipped him over her head and onto his back.
Robin brushed himself off and regained his posture.
"Wow, she's good." I stuttered.
"We shall see about that!" Starfire took Robin into her hands and flew him a few feet up.
The alien projected Robin as he reeled out his bo staff.
"HYYYYYYAH!" Robin thwacked Ravager which sent her sliding back a little.
But she was still on her feet.
Her back was slightly bent and she leaned up in slow motion with a grin on her face.
"I know Father taught you better than that." Ravager scoffed.
Robin struck at her several more times but she dodged each attempt deftly.
"He taught me something I would never have taught myself: that I have to take my own path and not be led by his delusions, which clearly you are." Robin gritted his teeth as his staff hit Ravager's dagger.
"I'm giving him what is due. Where's Professor Chang and General Immortus? I must get revenge on them. They have stolen something from my father which I must get back." Ravager spat.
"Okay, okay, fine, but there's no need to disturb the lives of innocent people and waste our time." Robin returned.
"I'm kicking your sorry butts because you all treated my father like trash." Ravager dug her dagger straight into Robin's gut.
"AGH!" Robin fell to the ground and Raven went to help him.
Starfire took charge and pelted the ground in hot green spheres.
"HA!" her eye beams ripped the streets into fragments.
Ravager didn't flinch and still stood up without a scratch.
I ran up to help my friend.
Starfire tossed kicks and punches at Ravager. The villain took out her katana and tried to slice at Starfire but Starfire's gauntlets kept her secure. Exchange after exchange, Starfire lost track of Ravager's quick speed and fell to the ground.
"Make this easy on both of us and stop fighting. You've already lost." Ravager poked the tip of the katana into Starfire's chest.
I turned into a bird and flew in front of Ravager's face. She got annoyed and blindly slashed her weapon anywhere and everywhere.
Once I got her away from Starfire, I turned into a skunk and gave her a spray.
"Gah! This stuff stinks!" Ravager stumbled back and fell to the ground.
"Magic can clean you up a bit. Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!" Raven locked Ravager's body into a sheet of black sparks.
Ravager growled then snapped the energies. Raven's loose magic flung her and I into a car. We rolled on top of each other until we hit the wall of a building.
"Oi, she's knocked all the sense out of me." my back was lying on top of the empath's.
"You have sense?" Raven asked sarcastically.
I frowned at her comment and stood up.
"I don't think any's left after that hit." I offered her my hand and she took it.
Raven grasped her head and tumbled.
I involuntarily grabbed her slender waist and held her up.
She gasped and became shy.
"Are you okay, Raven?"
We locked eyes with each other.
The world became mute and my eyes recorded everything in slow motion. My mind began to mix up colors, numbers, and shapes as I gazed at the girl.
I kinda liked how close we were in the moment.
Her lavender scent and amethyst eyes struck me like a lightning bolt.
"Yeah, I feel a migraine coming on." she muttered.
"We've been dealing with one for a while now." I looked at the three Titans combat Ravager.
"Let's get rid of it then." Raven wiggled out of my arm and flew away.
Dude, I am never washing my hand again.
I smirked and ran to the villian.
"Fallback! Titans, fallback!" Robin flung a fog disk and we retreated.
We hid in the clouds, finding it hard to see each other.
Ravager was smart.
She kept silent and waited for us to make noise as the fog cleared up.
Starfire blasted her in the back and she skidded back.
Ravager kept her eyes in Starfire's direction but traced them elsewhere.
I turned into a wasp and stung her in the softer part of her uniform.
She screamed in pain, dropped her weapons, and fell to her knees.
Cyborg shot Ravager in the chest and he back slammed on the concrete.
Raven captured the girl in another lock, this time Ravager was too weak to react.
"Ropes. Can't go wrong without 'em." Robin brought out ropes, pulled Ravager's stubborn wrists behind her back and tied them in the knots.
"Let. Me. Go!" Ravager howled.
"You have a long time until you get that wish." Raven still had Ravager locked in her magic.
"We need to get you disinfected and relaxed." Cyborg glimpsed at the circle of blood in Robin's uniform.
The police sirens wailed through the streets.
They left their cars and approached Ravager.
"For real, those blades were scary. I'm surprised I didn't get sliced." I declared.
"I should be able to hold up for a bit. Raven put a numbing spell on the injury."
Raven smiled proudly.
The police collected the criminal and threw her in the truck.
"I will get revenge! I will not sleep until I terminate all of you just like Father wished!" Ravager screeched with a cracking voice.
"It's crazy, you know? I didn't even know he had a daughter. I wonder why she's so obsessed with revenge and all of that stuff. I guess we'll look more into it later. Plus, I had no clue Slade had a family. For one moment in my betrayal, I felt like I was a part of his family. He filled that void that I lost a long time ago, that mentoring, teaching fatherly void. Only a bit." Robin sighed, holding his wound.
"You have a family right here." Starfire reassured.
"Yeah, and I wouldn't trade it for the world." Robin smiled.
"Alright, let's stop the smushy stuff, I'm hungry. Pizza, we out?" I cheered.
"Yup. I call shotgun!" Robin leaped to the T-Car.
"Robin, no fair you sit in the front all the time!" I shouted.
Robin was right.
I wouldn't trade this family for the world.
The joy, the conflict, the memories... none of it.
