Blue eyes scanned the crowd around him as he half listened to the excited mumbling of his friend next to him.

"-I wonder what type of Quirks we'll see from the other people in the exam!" The greenette next to him had an awkward smile on his face as he rambled. Jordan loved listening to his best friend's muttering, the hero nerd often giving him new ideas for new uses of his own "Quirk", though he preferred "curse".

"As long as we ace this exam, other people's Quirks don't really matter to me. Except yours, obviously. Speaking of, did you get it?" Izuku had told Jordan about All Might's plan to train him almost immediately after, knowing Jordan wouldn't tell anyone, like there was anyone for him to tell.

"Yeah! I haven't had any practice yet, but I received it this morning." Jordan stared at Izuku in disbelief. He'd only just got the Quirk? Was he aware of how dangerous that could be?

"If you get hurt due to his negligence, I'm killing him. You should have got it earlier than this." He sighed in exasperation, obviously annoyed. "I'll have a talk with him after the exam. God knows the man needs to think more."

Looking up at the gates in front of them, a small smile formed on Jordan's face. "We're here Zu. UA High." The greenette next to him jumped in excitement before he was pushed out of the way by a familiar face to the two.

"Out of my way, extra! Get in my way and I'll set you on fire!" Bakugou shouted at Izuku, a sneer on his face as he walked past. His eyes landed on Jordan briefly and narrowed before he turned away and continued to walk. Izuku flailed next to the nicer blond, his face contorted in an awkward expression.

"Don't listen to him, Zu. We both know he won't do anything at UA, plus I'll knock him down a peg or two if he does try." Black flames licked at Jordan's cheek subconsciously before he shut his Quirk down, grabbing the shorter teen by the arm and dragging him towards the school in front of them.

"WEEEEEELCOME TO THE UA ENTRANCE EXAM! CAN I GET A HEYYYYYYY?!" A blond man with a ridiculous hairstyle shouted at them from the stage, a grin over his face. Silence was his only answer, although Izuku was muttering loudly next to Jordan. "Tough crowd, huh? Alright! As I said, welcome to the exam! After this brief presentation, we'll get started with the written section before moving onto the physical portion of the exam! ALRIIIIIGHT?!"

More silence followed, seemingly making the loud blond sag slightly. He began the presentation, explaining the rules of both parts of the exam. Jordan looked at Izuku as he muttered, nudging him slightly so he focused on the presentation.

"Excuse me!" A blue haired teen shouted, interrupting Present Mic. "On the presentation, it lists three types of enemies while on the paper it lists four! If this is a mistake, it is a grievous error for a prestigious school such as UA! And you!" The teen pointed at Izuku. "You've been muttering this entire time! If this is a joke to you, leave and give everyone else a chance to focus!"

Jordan bristled at that, standing up while narrowing his eyes. "Hey, leave him alone! He's here to become a hero, just like you. Let him mutter, no one else is complaining, plus he does it to understand what's being said. Also, the fourth enemy type isn't worth any points, or can't you read even with your glasses?" Jordan glared at him before sitting back down, nodding at the greenette next to him.

"Examinee number 7135, you're exactly right! The fourth bot is worth zero points, it's kinda like a Thwomp from Mario, there to distract you!" Present Mic shouted, nodding as he spoke. The teen bowed before sitting down. "Now that that's cleared up, on with the written exam!"

Jordan stretched with a groan as he walked to his designated area for the physical portion of the exam. "God I hated that. I may need to ask Zu to tutor me some more." The blond took his jacket off, tying it around his waist and rolling his shoulders. He took a look around at the competition, noting a student with what seemed like extended earlobes and one with... Grape hair? He shook his head with a sigh.

"ALRIGHT! THE EXAM BEGINS NOW!" Students made noises of confusion, prompting Present Mic to explain. "No countdowns in the real world, folks! Just look at that student!" A robot melted down within a second as Jordan sped through the crowd of bots, fire coating his fingertips. The other examinees rushed in, attempting to get more points.

Jordan threw his hand forward, flames rushing from them and incinerating a three pointer. He smirked, jumping over another and shoving his hand through it's metal plating. "That's 8." He ducked under a two pointer and grabbed it, using flames to propel it into a group of bots. "No idea how many that was. Oh well." He rushed past students, noting one with purple hair struggling and not using any noticeable Quirk. He ran over and slammed a fire coated fist through the metal of the bot he was fighting.

"Thanks for the assist." The purple haired teen said, a small smile on his face. Jordan nodded, running after a group of bots and jumping above them. Fire coated his body and he brought his hands above his head, focusing the fire into them. "Incineration Burst." A wave of fire burnt the bots to a crisp and propelled Jordan upward, the teen taking the chance to look around for any more robots. He let off small blasts of fire to let himself fall slowly, the blond not noticing the shaking ground until he landed. Jordan turned and narrowed his eyes at the large robot mowing down buildings.

"Well then, let's see if you'll be more of a challenge!" He rushed forward, crouching and focusing fire into his feet. Releasing it, the ground was left burnt as he launched into the air. He pulled his arm back and coated it in fire, reaching forward. "I'll have to thank Bakugou for this at some point." He let the fire implode, a large explosion slamming into the Zero Pointer's metal body. A hole melted straight through it, the robot stopping as it struggled to comprehend the damage. A buzzer sounded as Jordan used his flames to slowly lower himself down.

Jordan blinked at Izuku, the greenette covered in bandages. "Explain." Izuku then launched into an explanation about how he wasn't able to get any points but he managed to save a girl who was trapped, before she saved him in return. Shaking his head, Jordan slapped him on the back of his head lightly before beginning to walk with the shorter teen. "Be careful next time."

'I made it... Mom.'

A/N: So... It's been a while. I'm sorry about that, I got distracted after the second chapter and then COVID happened and... It's been a weird year. I'm finishing school in a week or so, meaning I should be able to update weekly. Hopefully. Once again, sorry, but I'll try and post. Someone said in a review they're hoping for flashbacks and I'll most definitely be doing that. The name thing is due to his mum being British, but I'll get more into that during future chapters.
