Kensi was so peaceful when she slept. All curled up on her side, hands gently holding the blanket to her chest. Breaths easing in and out in a slow rhythm. Closed eyes, twitching every now and then while she dreamed. Her nose twitched, and her mouth slightly open, doing that little "snort snore" every now and then.
Deeks smiled, tucking a strand of wild brown hair behind her ear. Kensi shifted and unconsciously moved closer to him, smiling a little bit. Deeks wrapped his arms around her and tugged her too him, gently carding his fingers through her hair.
Kensi sighed blissfully, snuffling into his shirt. She unfolded herself and stretched out, her bare toes brushing his. Deeks couldn't help the smile that came over his face as emotion overwhelmed him. This was his girl, and no one was going to take her away.
He pressed a kiss to the top of her head and tugged her closer. For a moment, a split second, all was right with the world as Deeks watched her sleep, tucked safely in his arms.
