Valentina was walking through the busy airport alongside Abigail and Josh. Valentina was wearing a pink shirt with a laughing cartoonish T-Rex, light red shorts, baby pink sneakers and a pink backpack. The toddler was also wearing her mother's red scarf, which Abigail and Josh adjusted so that Valentina wouldn't walk on it and trip to the ground. Valentina's hair was tied into pigtails which bounced whenever she hopped or bounced. But the real reason as to why Valentina loved pink was that her parents raised her into the belief girls must wear pink and boys blue.

The threesome made it's way through a line of people being checked by security personel and National Guard personel. Even though, Valentina was so nervous to go at her uncle and cousin's home that she didn't say a single word, fearing she might mess up with Kate's stuff. However, Josh and Abigail assured the toddler everything would be just fine. Before leaving Valentina, the Duncans accompanied the toddler through the checkpoint, where four National Guard airmen stopped them.

"Hi. Where you going?" the leader asked.

Abigail, knowing what to say, replied, "We're bringing the kid through the checkpoint before going back home."

The other National Guard members checked the Duncans' papers and allowed the trio to proceed, after which they arrived at the boarding area, where Josh and Abigail said their farewells to Valentina.

"I'm going to miss you, Sweet Pea." Abigail said while hugging Valentina.

"I am going to miss both of you." Valentina replied as Abigail let go before Josh hugged the toddler.

Before Josh let go, he gave Valentina a small pink box with a small pink ribbon wrapped around it. Josh then said wiht a smile, "Your parents wanted to give it to you for Christmas. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to give it to you now, so I do it."

Valentina gently took the pink box and opened it. She discovered a fossilized Utahraptor claw. Valentina giggled and put her new necklace on. The toddler loved Utahraptors and Dromeosauridae dinosaurs in general since they were her favorite dinosaurs. Her Daddy and Mommy would read her Alan Grant's book about his encounter with them. A giggling Valentina looked at the Duncans.

"Thank you, Josh." the toddler happily said.

Abigail then informed Valentina, "And don't worry about Jurassic World. They have so much security that no dinosaur will ever harm you."

Then, the announcer said from the loudspeaker, "Ladies and gentlemen, the next flight to San Jose, Costa Rica is due for takeoff in twenty minutes."

"Bye, Sweet Pea." Abigail told Valentina.

"We'll miss you." Josh finished as Valentina ran through the boarding corridor.

When Valentina got on the plane, she took her seat in the middle row and patiently waited until the plane took off to Costa Rica. During the whole duration of the takeoff, Valentina looked at the window, thinking about her parents and wondering about her new life with her uncle and cousin. While most kids wouldn't wonder about such, things Valentina did, since she didn't know if her teenage cousin and the latter's father would accept the toddler for who she was. Valentina then silently prayed for a different life.

"Pwease, pwease, pwease wike me." Valentina whispered before falling asleep.

Owen and his daughter were in their house, setting up the final details for Valentina's room to make it look child-friendly. They and Barry worked together to build Valentina's room. The room wasn't fancy but simple. Owen had put a pink bed, a pink carpet, stuffed dinosaurs stored in a pink princess-like chest, a pink desk with a miniature bookshelf filled with children's books, a pink wooden chair and a pink closet for the toddler's clothes. The room had been painted pink with a window with pink curtains. The omnipresence of pink was due to Kate having been observing Valentina's former bedroom in Milwaukee.

Kate's new bedroom was painted green with brown curtains, a green desk with military-related books and school books, a dark blue bed, a dark blue chair and a brown closet for Kate's surplus-bought clothes. Kate also made sure Valentina wouldn't find her video games, which were stored in a soldier-shaped chest, neither would Valentina find Kate's weapons, which were fortunately locked in a safe.

Owen and his daughter also built a fence to avoid Valentina wouldn't drown going in the lake or attracting herbivore dinosaurs. While Owen had made a tire-swing for his niece, Kate had built her safe, which contained a Colt M4A1 carbine, a Beretta 92FS pistol, a Glock 17 pistol and a Benelli M3 Super 90 shotgun for Kate, as well as Owen's Marlin Model 1895 SBL rifle, Glock 19 pistol and Heckler & Koch USP pistol. Alongside the always-locked gun safe was Owen's shed, where his tools were stored. Right next to the tire-swing, was a pink playhouse with toys, a sandbox, and a miniature flower garden with tropical flowers had been set by Barry and the other workers with him. But even with those extensive works, Kate and her father were still nervous at how Valentina would welcome her new home.

Speaking of whom, Owen was getting dressed with a pair of bronw hiking shoes, blue jeans and a blue t-shirt to meet Valentina at the docks while Kate, wearing an ex-Czech Army vz95 jacket, surplus British Army Multi-Terrain Pattern trousers, a pair of ex-Bundeswehr combat boots and an ex-US Army patrol cap, prepared her Colt M4A1 carbine and her Beretta 92FS pistol in case a dinosaur would escape. Once done, they went to Owen's jeep and drove to the docks, where they would first meet Barry. Once reaching Jurassic World, Kate fired two bullets of her rifle at the ground near a Compsognathus scout, scaring it away, before her father made his way to the pier and saw Barry there.

"Are we late?" Owen asked as he stood next to Barry.

"No. Actually you're minutes early. I think having your niece forced you to do what you did with Kate." Barry joked, knowing Owen was always late at work while Kate was always late at home.

Owen, letting out a sign with Valentina's full name replied to Barry, "Yeah. Now hold this."

"Why am I always the one doing the nasty job?" Barry complained. "By the way, where's Kate?"

"First, rock beat scissors. Second, Kate stayed near the jeep to repel Compies." Owen answered, knowing he played with Barry rock, paper and scissors.

Barry sighed, knowing he had been beaten fair and square by Owen, even if Barry himself beat Kate. The behavior annoyed Barry, who knew they would need to entertain Valentina.

Speaking of Valentina, the little girl was seating in the ferry after the plane landed at the Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose, Costa Rica. She and the tourists went off the plane and were bused to the ferry sailing them towards Isla Nublar, where Jurassic World was. Valentina was seating near the window of the boat when she heard some laughters. Valentina turned around and saw two sisters alongside their mother talking about Jurassic World. The four-year-old felt pain in her chest, since she had no more parents, and wished her parents were here instead to speak with Kate and the teen's father. Now that her parents were no more, she only had her grandparents, uncle and cousin.

The ferry then landed at the pier and opened it's gangplanks, allowing the passengers to disembark. Valentina, fearing to get lost, tried to spot anyone with a sign reading her name. Looking upwards, the toddler saw an Afro-Frenchman holding a sign with her name on it alongside a man dressed in blue clothing. Wondering who they were, Valentina went towards them. Barry and Owen then spotted Valentina stopping near them.

Fearful and excited to be here, Valentina didn't say a word until Owen bent down to his niece's height. Barry, thinking it would be a good idea to inform Kate here, texted the teenager to wait for them in Main Street. A mere seconds later, Kate replied she would meet them there.

"Hi, Valentina." Owen softly greeted.

"Hello... Who awe you?" Valentina shyly replied while mentioning Barry.

"Name's CWO 1 Barry Sembène, former French Foreign Legion." Barry replied.

Intrigued by Barry revealing his past, Valentina asked him, "Fwench Fo-weign We-zion?"

"Wanna see your new home?" Owen asked his niece, deciding to switch to another conversation topic.

Valentina nodded at her uncle, curious about what her new house would look like. So Barry, Owen and Valentina walked through the alleys of Main Street, where they saw Kate waiting for them next to the Starbucks shop. Valentina saw many shops, restaurants and cafés with people coming in and out. Valentina then saw the Tylosaurus Arena and got a view of the Tylosaurus itself as it jumped from the bottom of it's pond and caught a shark from a hook before diving, reminding the toddler how dolphins were getting fish from their trainers at the Ocean World. Valentina was so awed by the huge reptile she ran for the arena, causing Kate to run for Valentina, upon which the teenager reached the toddler and lift the four-year-old while slinging her M4A1 rifle. Valentina then began whining, sad no to have seen the Tylosaurus.

Kate then carried her cousin to the jeep, where the teenager forced Valentina into the baby chair behind Owen's seat. Then, Kate went next to her father before Owen drove to the house. Valentina then sadly looked at her Utahraptor necklace, wishing her parents were with her. But she now wondered whether her uncle and cousin would accept her as she was or not.

The whole trip was earily silent, with Owen worried that Valentina wouldn't like her new life with him or she would be still traumatized by her parents' death. Kate, meanwhile thought about Valentina's hobbies being incompatible with hers. Soon they reached their destination. Valentina peaked out the window and saw a simple but pretty house with a friendly atmosphere. Valentina saw the tire-swing, the playhouse, a sandbox and a small garden. The nice fence could also prevent Valentina to get lost or worse.

"Here we are." Owen said as he helped his niece out of the baby chair. "It's not much but home sweet home, right?"

"For her. Not for me." Kate replied while carrying Valentina's stuff with her right hand.

Kate then went first and opened the door with both one hand and one foot, displaying the clean and simple inside to her cousin. Valentina saw the blue sofa, the brown carpet, the 4K television screen and two armchairs in the living room. Valentina then went to the kitchen, which was pretty much conventional in terms of layout.

Owen then led his niece to her new bedroom while Kate lagged in behind due to the weight of the luggage she was carrying.

"This will be your room." Owen revealed to Valentina as he opened the door to the toddler's bedroom.

Valentina went into her room and gasped at her room, remembering how much she liked her former room. The toddler then excitedly jumped on her bed while Kate went inside the room, panting from her effort despite her exceptionally robust physique.

"Toilet is down the hall next to Dad's room, mine is next to the bathroom. Bathroom itself is right under your room." Kate explained her cousin.

Valentina nodded before flopping on her bed and shaking her limbs while Kate herself undid Valentina's stuff and put them in the right place. Once done, Kate went down the stairs and met her father. Judging by the way Owen looked at her, Kate knew it was important.

"What's the matter?" Kate asked.

Owen, thinking his daughter wouldn't like it, said, "Listen, Kate... I want you to know life will change. You'll have to get used to Valentina, who doesn't know as much as you do. So please, just tolerate her, okay?"

"Look, Dad. I don't fucking mind who she is, there are rules in our household. Means she'll have to adapt to them." Kate replied.

Owen nodded, knowing how serious his daughter was. The two of them then went in the living room before Kate went in the bathroom, where she took a shower before putting on a pair of green shorts and a green t-shirt. With that, Kate left the bathroom so that her father could take a shower before going in her bedroom. Suddenly, the doorbell rang, prompting Kate to open the door. Fortunately it was her friend Annie.

"Hey, Kate. Ready for karaoke night with the others?" Annie asked.

Owen, who heard the conversation peeked his head through the door and said, "Annie, if you go to karaoke night, then do it at the karaoke bar in Main Street."

"Hi, Owen. That's where we're going actually." Annie said in an honest voice.

Owen then nodded to his daughter to have some fun before going to get dressed. Kate then put on a pair of sneakers and ran to Annie's car, where two other schoolmates were in the rear seat. But Annie herself sat next to her mother, who then drove away. Valentina, however, heard all of the noise and walked to her uncle. Owen then went out of the bathroom and saw his niece.

"Uncwe Owen. Whewe's Kate?" Valentina innocently asked.

"She's going with some friends for a karaoke night." Owen explained.

"Ka-wa-oke?" Valentina asked.

Owen then decided to show what a karaoke night was and picked up his niece before walking to his jeep. Owen then put Valentina in the baby chair before taking the wheel and driving to the Iguanodon Karaoke Bar, owned by Anita and Dana, two friends of Owen's. Once they reached the parking lot, Owen saw his daughter at the computer choosing for a song. He then picked up his niece and brought Valentina with him in the bar.

"Evening Owen. It's your niece I suppose." Dana, the owner, said. "Sorry about your bro and your sis-in-law."

Owen nodded while Anita remarked Valentina's scared look on the little girl's face, since nearly everyone in the bar were either employees' children or Camp Cretaceous campers aged 13 to 19.

"Sorry about your bro and your sis-in-law. Now you gotta take care of your niece." Anita then said Owen.

Owen, knowing news must have spread, replied, "Yes. She was wondering what a karaoke night looked like, so I brought her here."

Dana then motioned the two adults to look at Kate who chose Kenny Loggins' song named "Footloose". Kate then took one mic before testing it. Valentina looked with curiosity at her older cousin and other teenagers, who were all clapping to encourage Kate to sing.

"Go on, Kate. You're the best." Annie said before music commenced.

Dana then commented, "Come on, darling. Set the stage on fire."

"Go on Kate, you can make it!" Anita said.

Owen then said, "Come on, Kate! You did it numerous times!"

Kate then nodded to her classmate Kelsi to start the music. Then, Kate began untying her hair as music started. Everyone, minus Owen, then started dancing around as Kate started to sing.

"Been working so hard - I'm punching my card - Eight hours for what? - Oh tell me what I got. - I got this feeling - That town's just holding me down - I'll hit the ceiling - Or else I'll tear up this town - Tonight I gotta cut - Loose, Footloose - Kick off your Sunday shoes - Please, Louise - Pull me offa my knees - Jack, get back - C'mon before we crack - Lose your blues - Everybody cut Footloose - You're playing so cool - Obeying every rule - Dig way down in your heart - You're burning, yearning for some - Somebody to tell you - That life ain't passing you by - I'm trying to tell you - It will if you don't even try - You can fly if you'd only cut - Loose, Footloose - Kick off your Sunday shoes - Oowhee, Marie - Shake it, shake it for me - Whoa, Milo - C'mon, c'mon let go - Lose your blues - Everybody cut Footloose - You've got to turn me around - And put your feet on the ground - Now take a hold of all - Four, whooooooooa, I'm turning it - Loose, Footloose - Kick off your Sunday shoes - Please, Louise - Pull me offa my knees - Jack, get back - C'mon before we crack - Lose your blues- Everybody cut, Everybody cut - Everybody cut, Everybody cut - Everybody cut, Everybody cut - Everybody cut Footloose"

As she was singing "Footloose", Kate herself danced alongside the others. Valentina then started to wonder if this was also a live show or a dance contest, since it reminded the live shows and dance contests her parents often watched on TV. Valentina also saw Dana and Anita, the two owners of the bar, were also dancing while Kate sang.

Fortunately for Owen, there was free food at the counter for everyone coming in the Iguanodon Karaoke Bar, which was plain cheese pizza, pizza with cheese and pepperoni, pizza with cheese and tuna, pizza with cheese and chicken and fruit. Owen took a big slice of pizza while his niece, who happened to be thousand percent veggied just took an apple and a pear. Kate then left the stage and took two slices of pizza and one big pear before eating them.

Annie then began singing Kenny Loggins' "I'm free", prompting everyone who had finished eating to dance as Annie did. Kate herself had finished eating and tossed what little remained of her pear before dancing with her friend. Some songs and improvized choreographies at the bar later, the Gradies drove back home as did everyone else while Dana and Anita closed their bar since it was now 11:00 PM.

Once they arrived home, Kate and her father came in the house first, where they brushed their teeth, like Valentina did. After washing up a little, Owen helped Valentina get washed up while Kate herself prepared her clothes for the next day. Kate then helped her cousin get dressed in her pink pyjamas. Kate then tucked her cousin to bed before setting the bedlight, making the toddler feel comfortable.

"Night, Valentina." Kate said in a rather tired voice.

Hugging her stuffed Utahraptor Honey, Valentina then said closing her eyes, "Nighty-nigh Kate."

Kate then left her cousin's bedroom and switched the light off and was about to go down the stairs when she heard her cousin's little voice from behind, causing the teenager to stop in her tracks.

"Kate?"

"Yeah, what?" Kate asked annoyingly while turning back.

Valentina then said while tucking herself deeper in her blankets, "Can you stay with me fow tonight? I'm scawed of being awone again."

Kate then looked at her cousin with no trace of emotion then decided the best thing to do for now was to sleep alongside her cousin until she could sleep alone. Kate then went to the bed, where she stopped and sat down.

"Sure. But watch where you step. I'll sleep next to your bed." Kate said, managing not to swear.

Valentina then smiled before letting a small yawn and going to sleep. Kate then looked at the picture of her uncle, who was under her father's care when Grandpa was at war. Kate knew her great-grandfather was a USAF P-38 Lightning pilot in the Mediteranean while her grandfather served in the US Marines from 1965 to 2008. Kate herself thought about if she served in the US Army before falling asleep.

While sleeping, Kate thought about a man she was irritated with. Vic Hoskins, the chief of security at the park. Thanks to Hoskins, the security and their training had been dramatically improved, as was the satisfaction rate of the visitors. But the only thing Kate couldn't stand was Hoskins' impatience to move the Utahraptors to a larger holding pen in Main Street, turning them into circus animals. Kate was especially concerned with Hoskins' reaction to meeting Valentina, since she and her father didn't hire a sitter yet.

But time flew by and Kate woke up very early, knowing she had to make breakfast as she usually did since her mother died when Kate was only 10 years old. Kate then stood up and silently walked to the kitchen, where she saw her father had already woken up. The teenager then made pancakes for Valentina while Owen baked eggs for him and his daughter. Then, Kate heard footsteps and instinctively put her hand on a kitchen knife before seeing Valentina. The little girl's hair was very messy and she was rubbing her eyes with one hand while holding Honey with the other.

"Morning. Breakfast ready." Kate announced.

Letting a cute yawn, Valentina tiredly replied, "Good mowning Kate. Good mowning Uncwe Owen."

Kate then sat at the table bringing pancakes with her while Owen sat next to his daughter with the eggs for both of them. Owen then helped his niece up the chair before feeding Valentina with her pancakes. But Kate being a fast eater, she finished her eggs first and put her dish into the sink before walking to her room, where she got dressed. After breakfast was done, Owen washed the dishes while Kate, now wearing an ex-Polish Army wz93 jacket, an ex-Swiss Army cap, ex-Australian Army DPCU trousers and ex-Canadian Army combat boots, prepared her M4A1 carbine and her Beretta 92FS pistol before walking to the house.

Coming in the house, Kate told her cousin they were going somewhere special. And being the curious toddler she was, Valentina couldn't help but ask her cousin.

"Whewe awe we going, Kate?"

"Will see. Now get dressed, and Dad is gonna show you." Kate replied.

Overexcited and exceedingly curious, Valentina got down from her chair with Honey and ran to her room, where she got dressed. Kate shook her head as she took her bag and went back to the gun stash, where she loaded four spare magazines for her pistol and six spare ones for her rifle. Meanwhile, Valentina put on a Utahraptor hoodie with a tail included, pink pants and baby sandals. She giggled, thinking she was a baby Utahraptor since she was looking like one. Valentina then quickley grabbed her pink backpack and excitedly rushed downstairs with Honey in her arms and saw her uncle had just finished dressing up for his day of work. He turned around and smirked at his niece, seeing how cute she was wearing her outfit. Owen then helped Valentina to get in the baby chair he put in his car while Kate took her backpack, even if she was on Christmas holiday like other employees' children. While Kate sat next to her father, Valentina was sitting in the back with Honey close to her chest. Owen then drove his car to a particular paddock. Once the car reached it's destination, Owen got out of the jeep before helping his niece out while Kate took her equipment before going first to the paddock. Valentina saw said paddock had a railing, on which Barry was standing.

As he was going down the stairs, Barry joked, "Owen, you're early. Normaly, Kate does the job alone."

The rifle-holding Kate and her father chuckled, knowing Kate would always come early after school or during vacation time to help Barry out with the Utahraptors. But Owen has begun changing his behavior since he now had a niece to take care of. Suddenly, Kate's phone rang and the teenager took the call.

"Hello?" Kate asked.

"Hi, this is Abigail Duncan. Don't take Valentina near a paddock. Last time this happened, she fell in a polar bear's paddock at the zoo. Here's how it happened. First, Valentina looked at the polar bears and she intentionally climbed on the railing while no one was paying attention to her, since her parents were busy. Then, she tripped and fell headfirst in the polar bear paddock. The bear licked Valentina, but gave her back to the zookeeper." Abigail explained on the phone.

"How the fuck did the zookeeper manage to take Valentina back?" Kate asked.

"Well, the bear was a female. And the zookeeper was a woman." Abigail replied.

"I see. Girls understand girls. And I bet Valentina was laughing like a fucking idiot when her fucking parents took her back." Kate said as she ended the call.

Kate then turned to her father and put her phone in her pocket. Looking at his daughter, Owen knew she had something important to say. Once he was close to his daughter, Owen began to wonder what happened. The curious Valentina didn't pay attention, even if the toddler heard everything.

"Dad, don't stray from her. Valentina fell in a polar bear's paddock back in Michigan. The only reason said polar bear and the zookeeper didn't confront head-on was both of them were females. And I think Valentina fucking loves falling in paddocks, so we musn't give her any fucking occasion to climb any fucking railing." Kate informed.

Owen nodded, fully understanding the importance of his daughter's revelations. Owen then heard Valentina cry. Valentina cried even louder as her remaining family went upstairs. Valentina wanted to be in a paddock! She wanted to see dinosaurs up close! She absolutely wanted! But Kate decided otherwise, since the teenager knew how Utahraptors could rebel themselves.

Then, Kate rolled her right sleeve and displayed a big healed scar, much to Valentina's awe. The toddler then happily asked, "Whewe di you get this scaw on youw awm?"

Kate, knowing why, replied, "I got it when I fell in this paddock. A Utahraptor named Echo fought with the Beta, named Blue. So Echo decided to munch me and bit my right arm, which I had put in front of my eyes to protect my head. But much to Echo's astonishment, I fired my Glock at a rat, prompting her to let me go and eat the dead rat instead. So don't climb on any fucking railing and don't fucking feed any fucking dinosaur. Understand?"

Valentina, shocked by her cousin's coarseness, began to cry. Valentina wanted to give the dinosaurs some Oreo cookies. Kate then glared harshly at her cousin, letting the latter understand not to mess up with dinosaurs or other people in the park. Valentina nodded while whining before Kate went up to the railing, followed by Owen who was carrying his niece.

Kate then reached the catwalk while Owen stopped near Barry. In her uncle's arms, Valentina looked tearfully at the paddock, wondering what was below. Then, a heavy-set man came up the catwalk and stopped near Barry and Owen, causing Kate to groan. Vic Hoskins.

"Hi guys. I'm just coming here for an assessment. To see if the Utahraptors are ready for transfer to Main Street or need more training." Hoskins said in an honest voice.

"I see. But look who's here." Kate yelled at Hoskins due to the distance between them.

Turning around, Hoskins saw Owen's niece cowering into her uncle and remembered a worker named Pedro informing him of Owen's brother and sister-in-law. Remembering Pedro's story, Hoskins gave a sad look to the toddler while Owen nudged his niece to stop hugging him, since he was choking.

"Sorry for your fam, dude." Hoskins said. "But how about the assessment?"

Barry, who had composed himself, replied, "Good idea. Let the chase begin."

"Whewe awe we? And who is this?" Valentina fearfully asked her uncle.

"The man here is Vic Hoskins. He is tasked with testing dinosaur safety rules. And here is where I work, alongside Kate if she has some spare time." Owen replied to his niece.

"Bet you didn't know about the daycare center. They just opened it up, on Zara Young's suggestion." Hoskins informed Owen.

"What's wouw wowk?" Valentina asked again.

"They are ethologists here. Means they study animals and design a doctrine combining welfare and safety for both people and animals. In our case dinos?" Hoskins vouched for his two friends.

"What kind of dinos?" Valentina asked again.

"You'll see. Now just watch your cousin in action." Hoskins told.

Owen then nodded gratefully to Hoskins, who then gave Kate a thumbs up sign. Kate then turned to a worker, who nodded her. Kate turned to her father and saw the whole staff was gathered. Valentina, meanwhile saw them coming and setting near the railing and wondered if these persons were the audience.

"Good for Pig Chase!" a worker yelled.

Kate waved at him, meaning she was ready. Another worker then took the remote as Kate let out her clicker. The worker pressed a specific button and released the pig. The pig then ran through the jungle, squealing in fear. Valentina watched the pig sadly, knowing the pig was running for it's life. But she was caught off guard when she heard loud footsteps and hissing sounds from the forest below. Valentina knew these were the animals chasing the pig. But just as she was about to ask, the four animals revealed themselves as four Utahraptors. There was a grey one with a blue stripe on it's side, followed by a black-striped green one, a teal one and a black-striped and snout-scarred brown one.

"Hold!" Kate yelled from the catwalk.

The four Utahraptors stopped in their tracks and watched as their meal made it to safety. Then, Kate loudly whistled, catching the four dinosaurs' attention. Valentina sighed of relief upon knowing the pig was alive. Hoskins and Barry chuckled at how Valentina awed at the Utahraptors.

"Eyes on me!" Kate yelled, seeing the Utahraptors weren't looking at her. She decided to call the first one, "Blue!"

But Blue didn't look at Kate, which made Valentina giggle. The toddler quickly deduced her cousin was a glory-hungry idiot, but couldn't get more wrong. Indeed, Kate quickly gained control of the situation.

"Blue!" Kate sternly called, finally getting Blue to look at the teenager. "Watch it! Charlie!"

The green Utahraptor, named Charlie, was actually Kate's personal favorite, since the teen and the dinosaur quickly formed an unbreakable bond. But Charlie snapped her jaws at Kate, who remained stoic. "Don't give me that fuck!" Kate scolded before turning to the teal dinosaur. "Delta!"

Delta displayed her razor-sharp teeth at Kate, who immediately ordered, "Delta! Shut the fuck up!"

Echo then looked up at Kate, who said, "Echo! Good! And we're moving!"

Kate then walked sideways to the bucket at the other end of the railing as the Utahraptors snapped at each other. Once reaching the bucket, Kate stopped.

"Hold!" Kate yelled while the Utahraptors looked at her as if they were going to eat her.

The unfazed Kate, who knew them since their birth then said using her clicker, "Good! That was fucking good! Very fucking good!"

Kate then took a huge dead rat from the bucket. Valentina being a veggie, she was disgusted and coughed, finding it gross to eat meat. Valentina was a thousand percent veggie and never ate meat, fish or eggs. Kate didn't take care of this and fed her Utahraptors one after another.

"Charlie, that's what you get!" Kate said tossing the rat to Charlie.

The green Utahraptor caught her food and swallowed it like a teenager would swallow a cookie.

Kate then called "Echo, her you go!" before giving Echo her food. Kate then did the same to Delta.

The teenager then took a huge rat and displayed it for Blue. "Blue?" Blue looked at her dish while Kate shook it to make sure Blue was focused on the dead rat. "This one's for you!" Kate then gave Blue her food, who ate it within seconds.

"Hold!" Kate said while they looked at Kate's left hand, Kate being a lefty. "Eyes up! And... Off!"

The four theropods then ran under Kate. Owen then clapped at his daughter while Valentina clapped. Hoskins, Barry and everyone else cheered, knowing it was a good day.

"You finally did it, Kate!" Owen congratulated his daughter.

"Good job, Kate!" Barry told her.

Kate then shook hands with him before meeting Hoskins face to face. She knew the chief of security wanted another test to see if the Utahraptors needed more time to adjust or not.

"What do you want?" Kate asked in her usual demeanor.

"I think you should get up close and personal to them. Oh, don't think I want them to munch you. But I read that confronting your fears was the best means to overcome them." Hoskins reassured Kate.

Owen, agreeing with Hoskins, said to his daughter, "I agree. You overcome your fear of heights when you were around seven years old. You weren't scared of close spaces and dark places at age eight because you ventured in tunnels."

"Right. I'll try the up close..." Kate began just before hearing someone yell about the pig pen button.

Kate turned around and saw Barry put Valentina down before going to help with the button. Suddenly, an employee named Leon ran with a snare pole in hands and stopped right where Valentina was. Then, Kate turned around and nodded to her father and Hoskins, silently telling them she would overcome her fear of being in the paddock again.

"Pig loose! Pig loose!" Leon yelled.

Kate turned around and saw Valentina had climbed on the railing and was now feeding the dinosaurs with Oreo cookies, thus proving the toddler was willing to risk her own safety just to see dinosaurs up close. Just as Leon caught the pig, it was caught by Echo, dragging Leon and Valentina down. Knowing she had to react, Kate turned to Hoskins and her father. As Leon fell on his back, Valentina fell on Leon's stomach, causing the poor worker to yelp in pain. Blue, Charlie and Delta turned around.

"Dad, Hoskins! Go in the barbican! Do what I say!" Kate instructed.

Owen and Hoskins then ran down the stairs to reach the barbican. Once there, both came inside before locking it from the inside. Hoskins then opened the inner gate while Kate directly jumped in front of Leon and her cousin. Once between the three Utahraptors and the two humans, Kate spread her arms in a defensive posture. Valentina then rolled on her side, not knowing she bumped into her cousin's left boot due to her hood covering the toddler's eyes.

"Blue! Stay where you are!" Kate sternly instructed Blue.

But Blue didn't display any agressive behavior as she usually did. Kate then spotted Charlie and Delta trying to flank her. Knowing this hunting strategy, Kate was no fool as her father and Hoskins went in the paddock. Hoskins dragged Leon to safety while Owen picked up his niece.

"Charlie! Delta! Back off! I see both of you!" Kate said the two theropods.

But the two theropods saw Owen reaching the safety of the barbican. Kate still looked at the three dinosaurs and heard Hoskins and Leon reaching the barbican, too. As an idea came to her mind, Kate said, "Close the gate!"

Hoskins, who saw Owen carrying his niece behind him, told Kate "You crazy?"

"Just do it. Trust me." Kate said as she sensed the Utahraptors were becoming agressive.

Hoskins then pushed the close button. Kate made a few steps backwards before running to the gate and sliding beneath, barely escaping the Utahraptors' jaws as they chased the teenager. Blue, Charlie and Delta then banged on the iron bars before shaking their head and hissing at Kate. The teenager stood up, finally confident about her ability to train Utahraptors. Kate then saw her giggling cousin removing the hood on her head, which displeased the teenager.

"Who you laughing at?" Kate asked.

The giggling Valentina then replied, "I'm waughing because they considew me as one theiw fwiends."

"Fuck!" Kate yelled, causing her father, Hoskins and Leon to snap out of their thoughts. "I already told you not to mess with dinosaurs. What did you do? You fed them with Oreo cookies! Don't you fucking know they can only eat meat, dumbass?" Kate angrily screamed at her cousin.

"I'm sowwy. I pwomise I won't evew do that again!" Valentina replied whining.

"You'd fucking better!" Kate angrily snapped back.

With that, Kate unlocked the outer gate, allowing her father to go to the jeep with Valentina in his arms. As she got a nod from Hoskins, Kate walked to the jeep, where an employee gave Valentina her pink backpack and Honey after Owen sat his niece in the baby chair. Kate shook her head, knowing it would be tough job to take care of a toddler who always had what she had whined for.

Sitting in her usual seat, Kate angrily punched the inflatable ball. Owen then looked at his daughter with an attitude, letting her know she had to take anger management lessons. Kate nodded, still angry at her cousin, before Owen drove to Main Street.

Meanwhile, Barry and Hoskins thought it would be a good idea to know what made Valentina so special.
