Maisie walked slowly up the front porch steps as she slowly entered the house, her coat thrown onto the front door hallway and not caring at the moment to put up the coat on the hanger. Tears fell from her eyes as she walked up to her, Raylee, and Lesley's room and collapsed onto the bottom bunk, her bunk. With her face buried into her purple pillow, she cried, cried until her pillow case was damp from her tears. She heard the door open and she did her best to stop, but it did nothing and the tears continued to fall. Looking up from her pillow she saw Raylee standing there.

"What's wrong little sis?" Raylee asked softly.

"I-I-I...I..." Maisie tried to tell her big sister what was wrong, but she couldn't find a way to do so. "Can you sing to me? Please? It'll make me feel better."

"Okay, scotch over baby sis." Raylee agreed and Maisie did and was know leaning against her oldest sibling. Raylee pressed her kiss to Maisie's forehead and then she started.

A gentle breeze from Hushabye Mountain

Softly blows over Lullaby Bay,

It fills the sails of boats that are waiting,

Waiting to sail your worries away.

It isn't far to Hushabye Mountain,

And your boat waits down by the quay.

The winds of night so softly are sighing,

Soon they will fly your troubles to sea.

So close your eyes on Hushabye Mountain,

Wave goodbye to the cares of the day,

And watch your boat from Hushabye Mountain

Sail far away from Lullaby Bay.

"Lewis got mad at me," Maisie finally felt like it was time to admit to her big sister why she was crying. "He tried to ask me out and I said no and...he yelled at me."

Raylee brought Maisie into her lap and kissed Maisie's forehead once again and Maisie moved her head under Raylee's.

"I'm so sorry, I'm so, so sorry, Mai." Raylee could only whisper in response.

"It's fine, I...I was actually going to tell him that I didn't want to be friends with him anymore." Maisie added on to what she said earlier. "Guess I'll try again later."

More tears left Maisie's eyes and Raylee kissed the top of her head. "You'll be okay, everything will be okay."

So close your eyes on Hushabye Mountain,

Wave goodbye to the cares of the day,

Maisie felt her big sister's heartbeat in her ear, with along with her sister singing, really started to make her feel better and curled up even more in her eldest sister's arms.

And watch your boat from Hushabye Mountain

Sail far away from Lullaby Bay.
