Miracles of the Creek

Chapter 1: The Red Creature

Creek World

The Stump Kids were inside the Stump discussing what to do with the kwamis and the box.

"I think we need to find out who or what this red creature is. Kit maybe know about what this is" said Craig putting the kwami inside his pocket.

"And what are we going to do with this box? We can't bring it with us" said Kelsey.

"Maybe we can. It does look like a regular sports ball" said JP, trying to understand more about the object.

"I think that it would be better if we leave it here. Whatever this is, it seems important. And it would drag a lot of attention towards us" said the map boy, receiving to nods from his friends.

"But where could we hide it?" asked the knight girl.

"Maybe with our food" answered the older boy.

"Good idea, JP" said Craig, hiding the box in the middle of their secret food supply. They decided to get out of the stump, to continue their quest.

They were really confused about what this all could mean. A red creature, a box and these earrings seemed to be so random. But something inside them felt there might be something bigger with them.

Foundation Prime

At Lord Vortech's dimension, Marinette's class were locked in cells in the middle of an empty dimension. The only thing beside the cells was a dimensional sky, a fortress that was being built and a purple sand.

Peahen Knight and King Moth had just arrived with the blue-haired girl. Without any care, they throw her in the cell with the rest of her class.

"Hey, you can't do this to her!" screamed Alya, trying to protect her best friend.

"I don't know if you have noticed but we are the ones in power here. You all are just prisoners" said Moth King, with a malicious grin.

"Come here and fight me if you think you are the ones in power" screamed Alix, full of fury for what they were doing with her friend.

"We don't have time for any of this silly stuff. We have a universe to conquer" said Peahen Knight, moving away with the king from the class.

Alya and Adrien approached the girl, in an attempt to see if she was okay.

"Marinette are you okay?" asked the aspiring journalist. The blue-haired girl started to cry.

"No… I failed… I was supposed to save the miraculous and to protect them from the villains… but I failed. I am the worst Ladybug ever" said Marinette, disappointed at herself.

They were all feeling sad by that statement. She was one of their best friends. She was always there for them. To help, to listen, to care for them. They weren't always as grateful as they should, but they couldn't agree on what she was saying.

"No, you are not! You are the best Ladybug we could have ever asked! You are kind," said the blonde boy.

"Brave," said Alya.

"You are always there for us," said Nino.

"We can always count on you," said Mylene.

"You never give up," said Alix.

"And is always outsmarting the villains," said Max.

"You are our everyday Ladybug. Our hero. We trust in you. And we know you are going to find a way of saving us" said Adrien, giving a kiss in her cheek.

The blue-haired girl got the confidence she needed. As she looked around, she started to develop a plain.

"You guys are right. I never give up! And I won't do it this time! We are going to find a way out of here and save the universe!" said Marinette, motivating the rest.

Creek World

The Stump Kids were walking at the direction of the Trading Tree. In the way, they found Bobby and his candy, Jason and the junior scouts, The Time Keeper with her instrument, the Ten-Speeds with their bicycles and a lot more.

"What do you think this is? I believe it's a little alien who needs our help to go back to his planet," said JP. The boy was older than his friends. But, he was the most innocent out of the three. He always tried to stay positive and rarely cared about what others thought about him. His main reason of doing what he did was to help the people he cared about.

"No, it's probably a fairy that needs our help to save her kingdom from a terrible dragon. Of course, they would need someone as powerful as the great warrior Kelsey" said Kelsey, in an epic tone. She loved fantasy books with detailed and epic battles and loved to pretend she was one of those knights she read about. Sometimes, she would even narrate to herself like she was in one of those books. She was also always accompanied by her bird, Mortimer.

"Whatever this is, it seems to be important," said Craig. He was the most creative of the three. He always created some inventions to help the trio. He loved to draw and to make maps about the creek. He was also dedicated and loved to see his friends and family okay. Most of the plans usually came from him. He was also really good at math and helped everyone he could, even though he could make some mistakes along the way.

As soon as they arrived at the Trading Tree, they were soon attended by Kit.

"Greetings, merchant" said the knight girl.

"We need some help," said the older boy.

"With what. I can't waste time I could be using to make more trades" said Kit, with the same professional tone from always.

"Well, we found this red thing, and need help to understand what it is" said the map boy, handing over the kwami.

Kit grabbed her magnifying glass to take a closer look at the object.

"Well, I would say that it is a toy, but there is but it has no brand name tag. I also have never seen this model before. You guys should see if the elders have anything to do with it. They are the ones who would know if this is old or not" said the merchant, handing them the toy.

"Thanks for the help" said Craig, putting the kwami back in his pocket. As they left the place, they soon went to the place the elders used to live at.

As soon as they reached the Elder Rock, the three kids were already bowing in a sign of respect.

The Elders were the oldest people to visit the Creek. All the kids believed they were these old and wise people that they could trust and ask anything, but they were just some teens that had issues with leaving their childhood things.

"Great Elders of the Creek, can you share with us a part of your infinite wisdom and tell us what this ancient artifact is?" asked Craig, handing one of them the kwami.

"It seems to be so soft" said Elder David, quickly grabbing the kwami. However, as soon as he caught it, another elder grabbed it.

"It looks like a toy. But have never seen this kind of stuff before" said Elder Mark, without any ideas of what the object could be.

"So, it probably isn't something old, we should go and talk to someone who understands about futuristic stuff" said the map boy, with the scientists in mind.

The Scientists were an interesting group that lived at the Creek. They were formed by three kids. Faraday and Carl were more focused on the real, and less on theorical stuff. Biology, some basic physics, and calculations were stuff they could handle.

The third, and technically the leader, of the group was Wren, however. She had these absurd theories of time travel, interdimensional portals, body swapping and a lot more. Usually, the other two treated her as crazy, and there was this subtle rivalry between her and Carl, but they were all friends, none the less.

"So, you need us to discover what this small creature is supposed to be?" asked Faraday, slightly intrigued by the request.

"Exactly. We found this close to the Stump, but no one knows what it is supposed to be? Do you guys have anything scientific to say?" asked the map boy.

As the two most realistic scientist took a look at the object, they didn't seem to have any different opinions on the little creature.

"It doesn't seem to be an animal. It is too big and humanoid to be a normal ladybug," said Carl.

"It's probably just a regular toy. There isn't anything special about it" said Faraday, clearly disinterested about it.

"You guys are wrong!" said Wren, invading the conversation.

"This is clearly an interdimensional being" said the scientist girl, leaving the Stump Kids with a lot more of doubts than answers.

"A what?" asked JP, clearly confused.

"Oh no. Not again" said Faraday, knowing that her friend would start to explain one of her crazy theories.

"This creature is not from our world. She is from another one. That is probably different from ours" said Wren, continuing her theories.

"How can you be so sure about it?" asked Kelsey, also confused about it.

"Well, I have seen signs and detected unusual dimensional phenomenon. There is probably a powerful and smarter being that wants to talk to us. And this little creature was send as a message" answered Wren, starting to laugh like a mad scientist.

"I think it would be better if we talked about someone who was a broader area of knowledge" said the knight girl, already with someone in mind.

As soon as they arrived at the library, they were already ready to explain the situation to their friend.

"Stacks, we found this mysterious artifact. So, we believed someone with such a large amount of wisdom could tell us what this is" said Kelsey, explaining the situation to her friend.

Stacks was a girl around their age. She had a secret hiding place at the library, where she would do kids's book related homework. She usually didn't involve herself directly in the adventures, but her knowledge used to be pretty useful.

"Give me some seconds" said Stacks, quickly running through the bookshelves flipping through every book she could lay her hand on.

"Maybe, it could be this! No, forget it…" said the librarian girl, throwing one of the books away.

"It might be this! Who am I kidding? They are nothing alike" said Stacks, throwing away another book.

"There is a chance that it could be… no, it is silly to imagine that" said the librarian girl, throwing another book on the ground.

The Stump Kids were worried they have never seen their friend take so long to find out something.

"Stacks is everything all right?" asked Kelsey, worried about her friend. Stacks let out a deep sigh and laid down on the ground out of exhaustion.

"I am sorry, guys. But there is nothing that looks like this creature in my books. It seems like it doesn't even exist. I am going to need more time to find out something concrete" said the librarian girl, leaving her friends slightly disappointed.

As they left the library, they were trying to figure out a new plan. All of the people they thought about didn't have any idea about what this thing could be.

"I believe we should talk with Wildernessa. She is an expert in nature," said Kelsey.

"But this doesn't seem to be an animal. The scientist and Stacks couldn't even wonder what this should be" said Craig, as clueless as his friends.

"Maybe it's something related to the witches. They are magical after all," said JP.

"Or maybe just some lost object from Junk Lord. It could be a lost warrior on a mission to help her king" said the knight girl.

"Or maybe, it could be something from the Other Side of the Creek" said the map boy. The atmosphere in the place became very tense. Mentioning the other side of the place always made the Stump Kids uncomfortable.

The Other Side was so scary. A cruel king, a group of children who acted as servants, and all their cruel and unfair hierarchy. And the worst part is that they could invade their side of the stream at any time and leave everything the same for them. Those children are strong threats and needed constant vigilance.

"Probably not. Green Poncho would have warned us, his trusted warriors, if this had anything to do with the Other Side" said Kelsey, trying to calm her friend down.

"You are probably right. But this is all so mysterious. No one seems to know what this red creature is. It could be something not important, but I feel there is something bigger behind this all" said the map boy, making his friends join him in this creepy thought of something bigger happening under their noses.

Suddenly, their alarms started to ring. It was time for dinner. They all said goodbye to one another and returned to their homes.

Foundation Prime

Marinette and her class were still trying to find a way of running away from that awful prison.

"Max, can you even wonder what these bars are made of?" asked the blue-haired girl.

"It doesn't look like any type of metal I know. It is also impossible to be wood, because it is to plain. Doubt it is marble," said Max.

"So, you don't know what it is?" asked Alix.

"Affirmative" said Max, disappointed at himself for not knowing what it could be. He was one of the smartest students, and yet, he couldn't even guess what this could be.

"Well, this doesn't seem to be made of normal matter. It even looks like it is sort of magical" said Mylene.

"It could be a trick from cruel witches," said Rose. Chloe, that had been quite this whole time, couldn't stand it anymore.

"You idiots! Stop trying to be stupid and do something useful soon!" shouted the spoiled girl.

"Chloe, we are trying to. But we have never been in a situation like this before" said Marinette, trying to calm her down.

"This is all your fault, Dupain-Cheng! If you had given me my miraculous at that precise moment, Queen Bee would have paralyzed those two and Paris would have been safe!" screamed Chloe.

"Chloe, you helped Hawk Moth! You don't deserve this miraculous anymore!" said Alya, trying to defend her friend.

"Look, journalist girl, don't dare talk to me like this! You are no better than me!" screamed Chloe.

"Screaming won't help anyone! We need to stay focused to find a way of running away from this place and save the universe" said Adrien, trying to calm his friends.

The atmosphere of the place became quiet once more. Everyone was sad, confused, scared and full of doubts. Suddenly, a new portal appeared, and Lord Vortech, Moth King and Peahen Knight appeared. They had captured two more teens, Kagami and Luka.

"You are going to pay for that, Peahen!" said Kagami, as she was put in the prison with the others.

"Doubt you can do anything from here" said Peahen Knight, with a cruel smirk on her face.

"Okay, what do you three want? Why are you kidnapping us? We are not with the miraculouses!" asked Marinette, not understanding why they were needed for their plans. Lord Vortech started to laugh maliciously.

"You are right. You guys don't have the miraculouses, but you will help us find them" said Lord Vortech, leaving the class confused.

"We will never join your side!" said Alya, full of rage.

"Who said you guys will have a choice?" said Lord Vortech, laughing again. As soon as she heard that, Lila noticed she had an opportunity.

"Did you three know that I used to help Hawk Moth?" said Lila, scaring the rest of her class.

"What are you talking about, Lila?" asked Rose, confused.

"I hated Ladybug, and he gave me a chance of destroying her once and for all. And I took it and would do it again" said the liar, with a malicious grin.

"Wasn't she your best friend?" asked Kim, making the girl laugh once more.

"You are all just stupid kids! I have been lying from the moment I entered in school and manipulated you all so easily" said the liar, laughing again. As soon as they heard that, they started to understand what it all meant.

"Prince Ali…" said Rose.

"Jagged Stone…" said Ivan.

"All of those promises were just a bunch of lies," said Nathaniel. The whole class glared at her. They felt mad and betrayed.

"As you guys can see, I am pretty smart and useful. With me at your side, we would be unstoppable" said Lila, trying to convince the king.

Moth King and Peahen Knight approached their cell. Maya opened the door and entered it and stood right in front of the liar.

"Maya, what do you think we should do?" asked Moth King with an evil smile.

Peahen Knight did that same smile. She opened her hand fan, and, with just a part of her strength, she used the object to slap the girl in the face, making her fall in the ground. It hurt a lot.

"I guess you had your answer" said Peahen Knight, with a cruel smile, as she left the cell. Lila never felt more humiliated than now.

Creek World

Craig was in his bed, trying to sleep, but it was basically impossible. He couldn't stop thinking about the red creature. This mystery couldn't let him focus on anything else.

"What can you be?" asked the map boy, giving one last look at under his bed, were little creature was staying at. He closed his eyes and tried to relax. He needed to have enough energy on the next day to find out what this little object could be.

After some time, he finally relaxed and fell asleep. A few moments later, however, her heard someone eating something. The noise was coming from under his bed. He was worried and scared, but curiosity was louder.

As he looked at under his bed, he saw the little creature eating one of his old choco rolls he had there.

"You are alive!" said Craig, trying his best to stay quiet, to not wake anyone.

"I am, and I got something really serious to tell you" said Tikki, finishing one of the choco rolls.

"I think it would be better if we talked at somewhere more private" said the map boy, receiving a nod from the kwami.

As soon as they arrived at the bathroom, Craig already started to ask questions.

"Who are you? What are you? What is that box?" asked the map boy, incredibly confused about everything that had happened.

"I am Tikki, the kwami of creation, and I need help to save the universe" said the kwami, leaving the boy shocked.
