France felt the steady and soft breath on his neck. Slowly, his consciousness came to reality. He opened his eyelids sluggishly. Those blue eyes saw the blurry room where he slept in. A few times, he blinked his eyes to get a clear sight. The first time he realized, this was not his room in Paris. Before he could wonder in his mind, a naked figure suddenly broke out from France's embrace and running out to the bathroom this morning.
"Angleterre?" He muttered. Quickly, his brain caught up with real life. "Oh." He remembered, he stayed in London after the meeting with the Queen of England and the President of France. He was so thrilled when England's doctor confirmed that they will have a baby. A human-like baby. Took after them as the parent.
His train of thought was cut when he heard an unpleasant sound from the bathroom where England went. It was suspiciously sounded like vomiting. Then, France knew it. He ran to the bathroom, worried, "Angleterre!"
Several minutes later, England laid down weakly on the bed after wore green sleepwear. France who stood beside the bed looked at him with frowned eyebrows. He put down the hot tea he made on the tableside. "You never told me you're sick, Arthur," he said.
"I'm not sick," England sat and took the tea. He blew it softly before sipped it.
France who wore an unbuttoned cream casual shirt with short taupe pants sighed then sat on the edge of the bed. "I carried you after you vomited," he reminded the younger nation.
"It's part of being pregnant, Wine Bastard," England scowled and blushed at the same time. He put down the teacup, insisted, "I'm not sick."
"Seriously?" France was surprised. He was not familiar with pregnancy symptoms.
England sighed and explained, "Dr. Reed told me it's normal to feel sick in the early stage of pregnancy. He said that the body change to support the baby so this so-called morning sickness is normal."
France noticed England was pale and weak. He was not that rough last night since they need to bear in mind that there was a baby inside England. Plus, they did it only once. Seems like, this pregnancy thing wore him down. France worriedly asked, "How long will you have this?"
"He doesn't know. It's different for every pregnant human. Some would have it throughout the pregnancy but mostly only have it for the first semester."
"First semester?"
"The first three months," England reached for his phone and searched the pdf file from his doctor. "I'll send you the file that I got from Dr. Reed. It's about pregnancy. Well, human one but better than nothing," he sent it to France's email.
France checked it on his phone. He read the first pages while England enjoyed the warm tea. Minutes passed, France looked at England, "If what Dr. Reed said, or predicted, that this pregnancy will take twice longer than normal to reach full term, then is that mean you will have morning sickness for 6 months or longer?"
England blinked and the realization sunk in, "Damn!" He didn't think about that and there was the possibility of longer morning sickness.
France looked at his phone again and muttered, "Je suis désolé, Angleterre..."
Green eyes looked at him. France said fornlonly, "It's my fault and you have to go through this..."
"Well, it's not like we know we can have a child from having sex. I doubt other nations aware of this possibility," England said. 'It's not your fault' was left unsaid but France heard it. He knew England's 'language' by heart. England was not a liar but he won't fully put his heart into words. He held back some truth to protect his heart also to concealed his shyness. France always thought it was annoying yet endearing at the same time.
The older nation smiled. He leaned forward to kiss England's forehead, "Merci, Mon Cher Amour..."
England blushed, mumbled, "Whatever."
When France's palm touched England's belly, he asked, "How's your feeling?"
"Better, that tea helps a lot."
"What do you want to have for breakfast? I'll cook anything you want." He kissed the younger nation's cheek.
England refused softly, "Nothing. Maybe later." He laid down on the bed. "I don't want to eat anything for now." He closed his eyes. He was tired.
France a bit apprehensive but couldn't say anything since he saw how England in the bathroom just now, he won't push it. He could understand. He caressed England's bed hair. "Tell me if you want something," he said gently.
Green eyes opened slightly to looked at blue eyes. France smiled lovingly with softened eyes. All of those screamed love which made England blushed again but smiled in the same manner. He slowly went back to the dream line with a smile still on his lips.

Another morning, France and England worked together on England's study room. They rearranged the invitation for the next world's meeting. Both of them wore their formal suits. When France who sat in front of England read one invitation, he was quite surprised. He waved that invitation in his right hand, "Are you inviting Germany along with Gilbert too?"
It was weird nowadays since Gilbert not a country anymore and the younger brother of him, Germany, was the one who usually handles everything. Hence, France a bit confused with his friend's name on this invitation.
England stopped his hand which doing the same thing as France. They were here to double-check the invitation before send them tomorrow. He looked at France, "Don't you think it's necessary? He may not have any land like us anymore but he still one of us. If he gets pregnant or knocks someone up, he should know the possibility of it. Aren't we doing the world conference to remind everyone to be aware of this?"
"Indeed," France nodded, "Looking back to Gil's love quest, it is necessary. One night stands and his kinks—"
"I don't want to talk about Prussia's sex life, Frog," England scowled and continued his work.
France chuckled and followed his suit but then he read another invitation, "You are inviting your brothers too. Have you told them in person?"
"No," England replied coldly.
"Why not? Our baby will be their nephew or niece."
England said flatly, "Do you think they will care?"
The older nations flinched. He remembered England's brother left him alone when he was still a child. Even throwing him with rocks. To have done that to their little brother, what will make them care about the child of the said brother?
"Good point," France nodded solemnly. He glanced another name in the invitation, "Ah, Mattieu and Alfred, have you told them? I'm thinking we can talk to them before the conference—"
England stiffened, France noticed, " —Arthur?"
"No... I haven't told them."
France realized the tone England used was slightly off. Green eyes looked down at the table, averted blue eyes which bore into him. France stood up and walked to his side. England's relationship with his brothers was not complacent. But... it's different with America and Canada. He raised them like a family.
"Shall we invite them to dinner and talk about it?" France asked. England kept silent.
"Non?"
Again, silence answered France.
Blue eyes looked down at messy blond hair. He knew England was being worried but for what? Therefore, he inquired, "Do you think they won't care like your brothers?"
"No..."
"Do you doubt that they won't accept their new sib—?"
"I don't say that!"
"Neither you agree with dinner talk plan," countered France. "They will know at the world conference after all but, Arthur... they are our sons. Don't you think it's better if they knew from us?
England let out a deep sighed. He put his elbows on the table and rested his forehead on his joined hands. Closed his eyes, he said, "I know... but I don't know, I can't shake this uneasy feeling if they learn about our baby..."
Personally, France failed to see the reason for England's distress. He didn't think Mattieu will have a negative reaction. As for Alfred, he maybe not care much. But, again, looking back at England's history with his brothers, his past may haunt the younger nation how the others will treat this baby like how his elder brothers treated him badly. Logically, America and Canada were not the Kirklands. However, Dr. Reed told France that England may get emotional or overthinking due to his unbalanced hormones so he suggested taking it carefully and not dismissed it lightly.
"I get it, Arthur," France leaned his hips on the table before squeezed England's shoulder. "It's fine if you don't want to but you know that Alfred will come to your house after the conference should he knows it?"
"Ugh," England could foresee it. America will demand more information. He was so keen on something rare or new. England sighed. "You are right, we have to spill the tea before the conference."
France chuckled.
Then, he called their sons to invite them to dinner.
—000—
"It has...munch munch.. so long for...munch munch.. to have dinner...munch munch munch," said America chewing a hamburger made by France.
"What are you saying? Don't talk when your mouth is full, Alfred!" scolded England. They were sat in the dining room at his house. Since it was family dinner. They wore the casual outfit. America wore a blue shirt England wore long sleeves black shirt. France who sat beside him wore the navy jeans shirt. Lastly, Canada who sat beside America, opposite their parents, wore a red hoodie.
Canada poured his sibling a glass of water, "Drink this."
Four of them finally finished their meal. France served them their sons favorite for tonight. Hence, America still munched anything within reach but it was old news. They used to it. While America was drinking, Canada smiled at France, "It's delicious, Papa, Merci beaucoup."
"De rien, Mattieu," smiled France happily. To have dinner with your beloved ones truly warmed his heart. He poured a bottle of wine for the boys and himself but not to Arthur. Canada noticed and found it a bit strange since England loves to drink. "I'm glad both of you can come today, we have something to talk about before the conference," said France while exchanged glances with England.
"Oh, the conference is next week, right?" America drank his wine. They received their invitations when he arrived in England's house. " 'Sup?"
"Well, we want you to know this before the world knows it at the conference later," France looked at them. America and Canada stared at him expectantly.
"By 'we'... Papa, you mean, you and Dad?" Canada asked France but glanced at England who looked gloomy. The youngest nation didn't think England mad but that serene look was a sign of something big.
"Oui," France nodded. "Arthur and I have news for you two."
Silence followed that which confused the younger blondes. America and Canada exchanged curious glances. "What's the news?" America asked. He couldn't hold back his curiosity. The brothers saw how France took England's hand in his then both the older nations stared at the younger ones.
"I'm pregnant," stated England.
Seconds passed, America burst into laughter, "Have you drunk already, Mom?" And laughed more. Even Canada chuckled but halted when he remembered that France didn't pour the wine into England's glass. To make sure, he glanced at England's, and indeed, it wasn't wine.
Amethyst's eyes widened.
America laughed, "Nice one. You almost got me! I know sometimes we called you Mom but—"
"W-wait, Alfred," Canada cut his brother's accused their 'mother', America turned his head to him. Canada pointed at England's glass, "Dad... He didn't drink wine..." His voice turned doubtful.
America blinked, followed his brother's index finger direction to found it was true. "Huh?" America tilted his head. "Then, is it April fool today?"
"Non," France took out England's ultrasound picture and gave it to the boys. "It's not even April anymore, it's May, Alfred. It's not an April Fool's joke."
Blue eyes and amethyst eyes glued at the picture. They saw the name of 'Arthur Kirkland' and 'Dr. Reed' also the date of the examination. America has prediction but he asked, "What exactly I'm looking at?"
France sighed, he explained how to read the photograph, "This is the baby inside Arthur."
"I don't see a baby," America said confusedly.
England pointed out a circle on the picture, "How blind you are! This is the baby!"
"It's a black circle, not the baby, Mom!"
"Fool! It's still 8 weeks old so it's hasn't fully developed yet!" England snapped. America and Canada were surprised to see England looked upset just because of a question. He looked so serene a second ago. His mood changed in the blink of his eyes.
America asked again, "Then, who is Dr. Reed?"
"My doctor," England confirmed. "Like Dr. Smith to you."
At that statement, the boys felt the weight of this situation. Eyes on the picture. They may not know all the names of each doctor (due to the person will change every several decades) but they knew the oath of each country's doctor. Despite America was easy-going personality, his doctor was not.
"So, it's not a joke?" America looked back at the older nations.
"No," England replied solemnly. "I just found out a few days ago."
France stared at the boys who looked quite a loss, "My reaction was exactly like yours when Arthur first told me. This news is the reason the next conference will be here in London."
Heavy silence blanketed them before Canada broke it by asking, "H-how... it's possible, Papa?"
England and France looked at each other before summarized their discussion with the Queen of England and the President of France. England ended it with, "At the meeting next week, I will tell them this too and ask their cooperation to let their doctors work together with Dr. Reed."
"So, we can get pregnant," said the boys at the same time. America sounded amazed. On the other hand, Canada was terrified.
"Another brother!" America's joyful laughter filled the room. "I will teach him everything so he can be a hero like me!" Blue eyes under those spectacles shone brightly.
France laughed as well, "Hey, hey, it may be your little sister."
"Then, I will protect her as a hero!" America exclaimed and his excitement to have another sibling become the main topic here. France joined the excitement, "We should have another statue for her!" While Canada timidly said, "I wonder will she like maple syrup too?"
The trio, well, mostly France and America have lively discussions which made England was in awe. He overjoyed that his prediction was failed. No rejection came from the boys and he was pleased. A smile slowly formed on his lips before he laughed at the other three.
"We still don't know it will be a girl or a boy, git," he said with a laugh. The other three stopped their talk and looked at England. Three of them glad that England finally smiles tonight. They shared a knowing smile. France ruffled England's hair, grinned at his beloved before kissing him deeply.
"Guys!" America covered Canada's eyes quickly, "Control yourself, please! There is a child here!" America scolded the older nations. Canada blushed, protested, "I'm not a child, Al!" But didn't remove his brother's palm on his face.
England shoved France and broke the kiss. His face was as red as a tomato, "Damn you, Pervert Frog!"
"I can't help it, Angleterre," France sighed fondly, "you are so cute!"
"Ew," America commented, "So cheesy!"
England, still with a red face, accused, "You traumatized the boys, Stinky Wine!"
"Nope! I can handle it, Mom! Coz I'm the hero!" America let out his trademark laughed. England, France, and Canada sweatdropped.
When the pregnant nation sighed, Canada asked England, "A-are you okay, Dad? Is it hard to be pregnant?"
"I'm fine, Matthew," he smiled at Canada's kindness. The boy was always obedient and considerate towards others. "It's a bit tough with morning sickness but, don't worry. Dr. Reed said that it will only last the first months," he reassured the youngest nation.
"Ah," America interrupted, "That reminds me, I think our doctors should be in the world conference as well. It's easier to explain. It will be like killing two birds with a stone."
"It makes sense," England said, "Dr. Reed also want to ask all the doctors from each country to do test for their country. Alright, I'll send an email for the doctors to come too."
Suddenly, America remembered something important! He leaned forward, "Wait! Is that mean the baby will have a bushy eyebrow too?"
England scowled, "Shut up!"
"You two," France addressed the boys who were laughing, "Don't tell the other nations until the world's conference. No matter how close you are to them." The older nation emphasized the word with a knowing grin.
The boys sweatdropped. America whispered to Canada, "Do you think they know about our boyfriends?"
"Dad may be oblivious but Papa..."
"Yeah, I think he knows."
Canada nodded.
Thanks for reading! Can you guess who is the boyfriends of America and Canada? ;)
CaptainShort19: Poor them? Why? For other nations' reactions will be in the world's conference chapter.
