chapter 3
It was time for a Junior rangers meeting and there was going to be new Junior rangers joining them. Among them was Booster's little brother Benjy, Mira's little sister Mizi, Rocket's little brother Rory, Emily's little sister Nancy, Buzz's little sister Brianna, Warpnia's little brother Walter, and Ty's younger brother Tommy.
"I am so looking forward to being a Junior space ranger," Brianna said.
"I know little sis," Buzz said. "Now I hope you get along with the other kids." he said.
Brianna saw the other younger sibling's of the members of team Lightyear. "Hi I am Brianna Lightyear," she said.
"I am Walter Darkmatter," Walter said.
"My name is Benjy Munchapper," Benjy said.
"Mizi Nova," Mizi said.
"Rory Crockett," Rory said.
"Nancy Wild," Nancy said.
"Tommy Parsec," Tommy said.
The kids were so excited to be Junior rangers. "Okay Junior Space rangers we have some new Junior rangers now let's start with the the Junior space ranger oath," the head of the Junior rangers said.
"We are Juniors Space Rangers, I promise to be brave, strong and honest, to always do our best, we will always help others in need, we will show respect to others and ourselves, we will be an example to others and help out our community and we come from planets far and wide and accept others for who and what they are and we will always be the best me I can be." the kids said.
"Very good kids," the head of Junior rangers said. "Now we have guest speaking today Buzz Lightyear," the head of the Junior rangers said.
"Hello kids," Buzz said coming up.
"Hello Buzz Lightyear," the kids said.
"Today we are going to work on problem solving." Buzz said. He showed them a couple of ropes, one had a hook on the end and the other had a loop. "Now who would like to solve this problem?" he asked.
"I will," a boy said.
"What is your name?" Buzz asked.
"Rodney Martol," Rodney said.
"Okay Rodney give it a try," Buzz said.
Rodney used his strength to fix the problem. "Very good," Buzz said.
"I have another solution," another kid said coming up. "My name is Danny Lix," he said. Then used his wit to fix the problem.
"Good," Buzz said.
"Can I try Buzz?" Brianna asked.
"Of course Brianna," Buzz said.
Brianna came up. "Walter can you come up and help me?" she said.
"Sure," Walter said coming up.
"Hand me the other rope," Brianna said and the two of them joined the ropes together.
"As you all can see there are many ways to solve a problem, Rodney used strength to solve a problem and Danny used his wit and Brianna used teamwork." Buzz said.
"That sounds neat," one the kids said.
"But what if the problem is too big for a kid to fix what should they do?" one of them asked.
"It's always best to talk to an adult you trust when you have problem you and your friends can't fix by yourselves," Buzz said. "But the important thing to remember is problems always have some sort of solution," he said. "It's up to you to find what solution works best for the problem you are facing." he said. "I hope you Junior Space Rangers remember that," he said.
"Yes Buzz Lightyear," they said.
"Okay kids now it's time to continue doing your best and being the best Junior rangers you can be," Buzz Lightyear said.
"Yes Buzz Lightyear," the kids said.
The Junior rangers started to discuss somethings and showing the others their patches. "Pretty neat to see all those patches the others have," Nancy said.
"I hope we can collect some like the other kids," Benjy said.
"I agree to that," Mizi said.
Then it was time for a mission. "What is the mission?" Emily asked.
"It seems we have to get going to Roxer apparently many things have been stolen there from several labs." Buzz said.
"I will pull up the footage from the labs." Rocket said.
The video footage player and there was a guy with four arms and five eyes he punched out the camera. "Wait second." Ty said. "Rewind and freeze frame," he said.
"Hmm let's run the picture through star commands data base," Rocket said.
"Already on it," XR said. "It says his name is Torque, he's wanted on 14 different planets," he said. "He's got quite the rap sheet I tell you, it's a doozy," he said.
"Then let's find Torque," Buzz said.
"Good idea," Warpnia said.
"But first we must find out what Torque has stolen on Roxer," Buzz said.
They made it to planet Roxer. "Okay sir what stuff was stolen?" Buzz asked the scientist.
"It was several different things, some of them were microchips, a few robotics parts and several blueprints," the scientist said.
"I wonder where Torque is going with that stuff and if he's going to build something or give it to someone else." Warpnia said.
"I think I know who to ask," Buzz said.
Meanwhile on Planet Z. Torque walked through the doors and came into the room. "Torque did you get the stuff?" Zurg asked.
"I sure did it was easy with my replication powers," Torque said. "Now what are going to do with this stuff Zurg?" he asked.
"I'm going to make a nano-bug and hard wire it with an explosive and computer bug that way I can hack the galactic alliance and destroy in one fell swoop two birds with one stone." Zurg said.
"I see but why nano?" Torque asked.
"Because it will be easier if it is tiny," Zurg said.
They went to trade world. A fella was busy gathering a few things and finishing up with his stuff. "Yikes Space rangers," he said when Buzz Lightyear and his team appeared.
"Okay Crumford we want to know about a guy named Torque and what he's doing with parts stolen from labs on Roxer," Buzz said.
"Torque he's been swiping that stuff for his boss, he works for Zurg and I hear he has replication powers so it's not easy to take him down." Crumford said.
"Thanks Crumford," they said and left.
"Humph give a decent fella on heart attack," Crumford said and then he got splashed by a puddle when guy when by on bike.
The team headed for one of Zurg's hideouts. "Let's see what they are up too," Emily said as they snuck in.
Then they saw Hornets lots of them. "We need something to take care of all these hornets fast," Buzz said. "That's it we need a the wirewolf, you ready Ty?" he asked.
"You bet," Ty said going into Wirewolf form.
They were about to open the door. "Ready and now!" Buzz said let Ty loose into room where the hornets were.
There was lots of noise. "Ah gross," Warpnia said.
"Ty take it easy," Buzz said.
"Yikes," Booster said.
"Ugh," XR said.
"I didn't need to see that," Emily said.
"Oh boy," Mira said.
"Go Ty go!" Rocket said and then he made a face. "Now that is sick," he said cover his eyes.
"All clear," Ty voice called. They saw the mess and Ty shaking his wirewolf form and returning to human form. "There we go," he said.
"Nice work Ty, but next try to hold back a little," Buzz said.
They went into another room and saw Torque and Zurg. "Buzz Lightyear is here, Torque get him," Zurg said.
"With pleasure," Torque said and started to replicate himself and made many copies of himself. He attacked and Emily noticed something.
"Guys, I have an idea," Emily said.
"What is it?" Rocket asked.
"We got to get Torque to make more and more copies of himself," she said.
"Are you crazy?" Booster asked.
"No trust me," Emily said and started up a hologram show of many space rangers. Torque started to make more and more copies of himself until he got stuck make a copy.
"Uh oh," Torque said and all the copies went back into him. "Whoa baby that is quite unsettling," he said and then he stumbled and around for a bit and then shook his head to clear his thoughts. "You are going to pay for making me do that," he said.
"I thought that might work," Emily said as Torque was trying to get away along with Zurg.
"Curse you Buzz Lightyear," Zurg shouted as he and Torque left.
Team Lightyear gathered the stolen property to return it. "How did you know that would work?" Mira asked.
"I was top of my class in Biology in high school and I recall that when cells divide to much they can burn out and I thought that might work with Torques powers to so I decided to get him to over tax them." Emily said.
"Good thinking Emily that is using your head," Buzz said.
"Thanks," Emily said.
"You used your brains to solve the problem and you knew the solution," Warpnia said.
"Thanks guys," Emily said.
"Now let's get this stuff back to the labs on Roxer," Ty said.
"Good plan," Rocket said.
Once the stuff was returned everything was taken care of and now it was time to head back to star command and do their next assignment. That's the way things are when one is a space ranger.
