The next day Akagi woke up in her new bed in her pyjamas which she fortunately had with her as well as other essentials. Having a hold is a good thing not only for shopping. She then headed to the bathroom for her morning toilet. To this day she blushes at the change about how she discovered she had to go to the bathroom like any other human, one of the many inconveniences of being human. Fortunately, kanmusu last longer before having to go to the bathroom. Scientists investigating this found it to be a fact that kanmusu organs can break down all food more efficiently, and can do so with many other inedible items for a normal human.

After finishing her activities in the bathroom, Akagi decided to check the room thoroughly. Yesterday she was too tired all day to take care of it and just went to bed quickly. The room was not at all small, but also not too big and for obvious reasons it was in a western, or more precisely American, style. Although it surprised her that it had a small kitchen with a microwave and a fridge. One bed under the window facing east as the morning sun showed it. A bedside table next to the bed. A large dresser with 5 drawers and a wardrobe with two small drawers downstairs opposite the window. The whole was completed with a warm yellow colour. If she had not known otherwise she would have thought that she was in a hotel rather than a dormitory for KANSEN. I have to look up why they write the whole thing in capital letters.

She was quickly teased by her fairies that it was already 5 minutes past 8 and she should go to the canteen. So she quickly dressed in her spare JMDSF uniform, the main one was sadly left in that world and the outfit she arrived in could use a wash.

I forgot to ask Cleveland exactly where the cafeteria was! She shook her head with her hand when she thought about it, and her crew giggled at her reaction. Very funny boys. She shook her head at her fairy crew. Seeing that no one was in the corridor she decided to go outside and look for someone to lead her to the canteen. As she thought so she did. As she was coming down the stairs she was surprised by a little girl with dark blue hair who ran out of the corridor. The girl collided with considerable speed and bounced off Akagi. Akagi reacted quickly and shook her hand.

-Sorry, I didn't notice you. Are you okay?- she said to her. The girl picked herself up with Akagi's help and just made a sound of pain and started massaging herself on her forehead. -Aside from the fact that I collided with a steel wall and my face hurts I'm fine, although Sister Fletcher will scold me again for running in the corridor.- Said the girl -And I'm Hazelwood, the fastest among the Fletchers! Do you like running too?- Akagi looked at her in surprise noticing a small imprint on Hazelwood's forehead, the same as when a man collided with her. Then she smiled at her - I don't like it, unfortunately, but I have a friend who often goes running in the morning.- Hazelwood smiled - Well that's a pity, but I hope to meet your friend.- She tilted her head - And just what is your name? Are you new here?-then she held out her hand in greeting.

Akagi responded after a moment by reciprocating the gesture and replied calmly -My name is JDS Akagi and yes I am new here. Can you take me to the cafeteria? I arrived here last night and I haven't had a chance to find out where everything is.- Halzewood looked at her in disbelief- Akagi you say, but where are your fox tails?"- and then she jumped up vigorously and said- Sure I'll show you where the canteen is, quickly follow me quickly!- Then she started running downstairs and Akagi seeing that the girl wasn't going to stop ran after her. Fox tails? I wonder what Akagi and Japan in general is like here. And Halzewood is quite similar to Shimakaze though she knows how to dress unlike her.

After a few moments she caught up with Halzewood outside and then running together. Halzewood was quick to show the way and the buildings on the way to the canteen. After a few minutes they both reached their destination. -We are already there- Hazelwood said panting slightly and showing her hand. -And I advise you to hurry up today there is a cake special!- she added after a while. Akagi tilted her head with curiosity -Special cake? - Hazelwood nodded vigorously -Yes special cake, it's the cake our dad baked! -she said -I mean our commander! -she corrected herself. Akagi was amazed at that. -The commander is your dad? You two don't look alike.- Halzewood shook her head- That's because the Commander adopted us as his children. He says we need parents for us.- Akagi nodded in agreement - Oh and his wife is a mother to you? - Halzewood confirmed it and added - And because of that we have real brothers! They are cool!-

Further conversation was interrupted by a noise coming from the corner of the canteen. - Oh no, here comes the Horde! Hurry up before they trample us!- said Halzewood and pulled Akagi by the hand to go inside. Stepping inside Halzewood showed her to follow her. As Akagi walked between the tables behind her she looked around. What caught her eye was the variety of languages and costumes of each person. Most, she noticed, were KANSEN although there were humans among them. It was easy to tell one from the other as the humans were dressed in uniforms of the US NAVY and the KANSEN had a range of colourful outfits. What surprised her was that each girl had her own outfit and could be completely different looking from her sisters. Completely different from her home, where it was easy to tell whose sister was whose.

What surprised her more was the fact that she noticed two identical girls at one of the tables. Akagi seeing this unusual phenomenon asked Halzewood who they were. Halzewood looked at them and replied -These are the sisters of the Nevada, each of them is a KANSEN of the USS Nevada but both are one of the many visions of this ship. It is not that uncommon a sight or anything new at all. You've never seen anything like it?- she replied surprised that someone could ask that. -Sorry, I didn't know. There have never been twins where I come from,- replied Akagi. Halzewood looked at her in disbelief but didn't say anything considering that she was probably the new strangely human KANSEN from Sakura.

Eventually they reached the other end of the room, quite a large room as Akagi noticed, then they took a tray and Halzewood started recommending what was worth eating. They were immediately followed by the Horde, who, as they walked between the tables, burst into the cafeteria in punitive assault formation. Akagi noticed that such behaviour did not surprise anyone.

-It makes an impression on the uninitiated, doesn't it? -She said raising her eyebrows to the first girl with white hair and a headband with cat ears who stood behind Akagi. -And you are?- asked Akagi -Sims~- replied the girl feistily.

Akagi nodded and turned around. Well every base has its quirks. Surely this is better than the chaos here with the destroyers when it's breakfast and lunch time. Akagi thought. Then she took a plate and a piece, there were no chopsticks as she regretted and unfortunately she didn't take her own. Then she started to put the food from the buffet on her plate. A lot of food, so much that the cooks had to hurry up with the replenishment. The surprised looks and whispers from everyone around, and especially the look on the cooks' faces when they saw how much she had taken, told Akagi clearly that such a portion of food here was not something usual. When asked if there was anything wrong on her part she got a quiet mumble from the cook about Nihon girls' nonsense and their cartoons. Not knowing why, Akagi had the impression that she could hear the commander laughing.

Then she went to a table where no one was sitting, Halzewood sat down on a neighbouring chair. -Are you sure you haven't overdone it Akagi?- she asked in disbelief. Akagi, who had already eaten and had her mouth full, shook her head in denial and went back to eating. The food she ate was, as she read on the plate above the food, from the Commonwealth, or more precisely from its part called Polania, and looking at the plate above the buffet it said Commonwealth Week. She had to admit that the food was good and the kompot which she took as a drink tasted delicious.

While eating she noticed a strange thing: Belfast was standing over a white-haired girl and was clearly watching her. Halzewood seeing what she was looking at laughed and said -Enterprise has again a phase on MREs and Belfast appointed to watch over her in such situations is to make sure she eats normal food from time to time- Akagi looked at her questioningly, Halzewood understanding the unasked question answered -Does it happen often? In our case, not so much, but I'm told that other Enterprises have a frequent problem with it.- Akagi nodded slightly, -I think I understand.- I don't understand a damn thing! The Enterprise I know doesn't have an MRE phase and generally doesn't look like a grim reaper with those eyes!

While looking and eating like this she didn't notice a certain blonde haired sub who jumped out from behind her trying to play a stupid prank on her. Unfortunately for her Akagi didn't find it funny and being in the same fleet with Iku for a long time had made her immune to perverted things or at least she thought so until she saw the appearance of her attacker. Her appearance could only be described in one way. A lolicon trap. Her swimsuit, if the piece of cloth she was wearing could be called a swimsuit at all was so skimpy that even Iku would say it was excessive. I guess. Before she could say anything about it out of nowhere a blonde appeared whose appearance and tone of voice could be described as a typical tsundere.

-What the hell are you thinking Albacore!- she shouted to the young really young girl. -Remember what da... commander told you about wearing this outfit!-then she smacked her solidly on the head. And then she turned to Akagi in a surprisingly different tone so that you would think she was a different person -I'm sorry about her, the commander made it clear to her that she was forbidden to wear that outfit and he told us to get rid of it and gave her another one but she finds it back every now and then.- Akagi nodded with understanding -I understand, sorry where are my manners I'm Akagi- she said and shook hands with the blonde. The blonde reciprocated -I'm Admiral Hipper and anticipating questions I'm not a tsundere like other Hippers I just look like one and sometimes as you heard I sound like one. And that annoys me terribly!- said Hipper finishing the last sentence in a tone full of regret.

Then she caught Albacore by the ear -And now we are going to the commander and you will politely tell where you got this outfit and what you did to our guest.- she said in a tone full of venom and anger Hipper. She raised Akagi's eyebrows at that Suddenly she jumped up and almost spilled her drink when she heard someone with a playful tone say -It's a pity I can't unlike my sisters tease her as easily as they do theirs~- Akagi turned to her.-Oh sorry I didn't introduce myself I am Prinz Eugen- She said a grey haired girl with strange looking red eyes. She was dressed in a blue blouse with the inscription Daddy's Good Girl on it. And a grey knee-length skirt. Akagi looked at the blouse again and then at Eugen's face and then said -No, I don't think so.- in a hollow voice.

Eugen looked at her thoughtfully then smiled mischievously -I'm Akagi-chan~- Akagi looked at her, nodded her head in agreement then started to finish eating. Eugen's attempt to tease Akagi further was interrupted by Cleveland when the former tried to say something about how much the latter was eating. -Oh Akagi! When you're done, wait a moment in front of the canteen we'll fill out the rest of the paperwork.- Akagi gave her a sign that she understood and after finishing her meal and tray reference she went in front of the building. Eugen seeing that Akagi ignored her completely decided to go to a destination she only knew. And Halzewood went with her sisters.

After a long moment Cleveland arrived, who carried under her cape a bag with documents hung on her shoulder. -Good Akagi now we will go to Vestal and Akashi to help fill in the rest of the data and give you your ID and money for the things you need.- Akagi wordlessly nodded her head slowly understanding how much the KANSEN here differ in behaviour from the Kanmunsu she knew.(First ice broken what Akagi?)- said her captain on the bridge. Shut up Captain. Akagi replied in her mind.

After a few minutes and listening to Cleveland who decided to go to the destination by a longer way showing Akagi the base and what is where. They arrived at their destination namely the Vestal clinic. As they walked in behind the pseudo nun who came out to greet them Akagi realised that she was looking at an ordinary hospital where there were both KANSEN and ordinary sailors. The staff of the clinic addressed Vestal with great respect, letting Akagi know that she was dealing with quite a person.

After such a march they arrived at Vestal's office. Upon entering, Akagi noticed a green-haired little cat girl carrying a whole set of tools and an industrial scale. -Stupid commander nya. He doesn't want Akashi jewels nya.- Akagi other than the fact that it was a little girl with cat ears speaking nya didn't pay much attention to the apparent difference in character between the Akashi she knew and the one here.

After an apparent surprise caused by obvious tricks like the change of her weight and strength and the sharpness of her eyesight depending on whether she focuses on her human or ship side the whole test was unexpected and any doubts about the professionalism of the Akashi here were quickly dispelled by herself when she showed that she might not have fairies and all the weirdness associated with being a Shipgirl of a repair ship but she can achieve the same with ordinary tools. As well as Vestal herself who showed that she looks like a nun's nurse for a reason, although the result of the examination surprised her, it is puzzling that Akagi heard her speak-Interesting just like them, I must ask the commander about it.-After which she looked at Akagi's face and as if something enlightened her.

Concentrating on what she heard she did not notice it and Akagi realised something. Namely it was the commander who positioned himself in such a way that she could not see the whole of his face and mainly saw his eyes. Very old eyes although the voice of the middle-aged man partly contradicted this. She had the impression that she had seen these eyes somewhere, but could not remember where. Without dwelling on it any longer, after finishing her examination Akagi followed Cleveland who handed out everything she needed. An ID card with her home country written on it and a note that she was from another world. Cleveland's explanation that this was not the first time this had happened gave Akagi a lot to think about. She needed money and a map of the world as well as bases and a manual explaining the state of the world along with a skinny booklet explaining basic concepts.

After thanking Akagi for her help, she went to the park where she began to study what she got and started planning what she was going to do next. Cleveland, on the other hand, returned to the Bureau.

-I'm back commander- -She said. In addition to the Commander and Belfast, there was another person in the office who greeted Cleveland. A twenty-year-old woman with brown wavy hair and partly mixed Japanese-Polish features. -Hi Ola!- said Cleveland greeting her as she spotted her. -Hi, Clev, how's the guest? -

-A very cool and kind. She is almost like your mother.- replied Cleveland calmly. Ola nodded calmly -Well you probably know very well why- she said pointing her finger at the family photo on the commander's desk. In this picture there were only three people. The Commander, little Ola and her Mother Aki.-Well yes- said Cleveland tapping her head- And I wondered why she seemed familiar to me and what Vestal said- Ola smiled- Guess she's going to ask if we have anything in common, I guess she rather forgot something- Cleveland nodded- Well rather yes. She must be worried about each of us everyone would forget that you're not from here- Ola shrugged her shoulders and then turned to her father. -These papers should go to that Dark archive, dad? -Her father looked at her -Yes, that's right Buki, and from there take the reports from 74- he said to her by her nickname.
