'Don't practice until you get it right. Practice until you can't get it wrong.'

Harry was being escorted by Professor McGonagall to the place where he was supposed to stay. Even though, his doubts and questions regarding this 'Peverell house' were not completed he decided to leave that question, at least for now.

He walked along McGonagall pasting many empty classrooms. Climbing the circular staircase, he reached the tower where he was going to stay. His trunk on his hand, whilst Mavis was perched upon his shoulder.

He was a bit surprised when he found out that the staircase, but then again this was magic.

He was led to a sole tower, it was made on a considerable height. They entered inside the circular tower using the door, the tower was fairly big, with a king-sized bed in the middle. There was a study table on its left, with a table.

There were four large windows in each of the directions, allowing the cool, natural air to enter the room. Harry was expecting a dusty tower considering it was abandoned, but it was spotless. Raising an eyebrow, Harry looked at McGonagall for an explanation.

Minerva sighed, "Your room was prepared by the House-elves whilst you were talking to Professor Dumbledore. Get some rest as you must be a little tired. The breakfast is from 6-8 am tomorrow, you would be given two days for exploring the castle, the classes would start from Monday. And you this given time wisely." Professor McGonagall explained sternly, as she left closing the door behind her.

Shrugging his shoulder, he placed his trunk on the right side of the bed, whilst he did not know about the so-called creature 'House Elves,' he decided to ignore it until he reached their topic. Mavis landed on the rails of the window.

With a 'Click' sound he opened his trunk, and delve inside it. He entered his living room and ushered himself to his bedroom. He said, "Schlafen," as the room opened. 'Schlafen' was a German word for 'Sleep'.

He took out necessary things from there, including the exotic perch he had brought for Mavis from the Muggle World. He struggled with the five feet tall perch but placed it in the living room. He went in front of Acacia's door, he entered by saying, "Connaissances," it was a french word for 'Knowledge.'

He took out some third-year book which he was currently reading. Climbing the ladders which were present in the Living Room, he placed the books on the provided table. He again went back to the trunk to collect the perch, he struggled a bit in taking it out but eventually did it.

He placed the Perch near the window side of his bed. Mavis landed on it as Harry changed on more comfortable clothes. He landed on the bed with 'Thud.' He took a deep breath, he decided to sleep early today.

He put blankets over him, he made some movements, and murmured as he looked at Mavis, "Good Night..."

With a 'Caw' by Mavis, deep slumber engulfed them both.

{SCENE BREAK}

The next morning, Harry woke up and took a quick shower in the bathroom which was present inside his trunk. Casting a time charm, Tempus, he got to know that it is 5: 36 AM, he wore a half-sleeved Black T-shirt which had white borders.

He wore blue trousers, and White Trainers, he was not wearing the uniform because we only had to wear it in Welcoming Feast, Holiday Feast, and The End Of Term Feast. If anyone tried to reprimand him, then he would say this only, but simply he did not care.

He remembered the route of the Great Hall because memorized it earlier. He brought a piece of paper and pen, to make the map more carefully which would help him. In his way, he found no one, looked like everyone was sleeping. Mavis was Cawing as usual in the morning.

He entered the Great Hall, there was no trace of a single student, but the teachers were present on the Staff Table. He also took a great interest in a new table that appeared between the four houses. It was not as big as the other, but large enough that four people could dine at the time. There were also only four chairs which gave him an odd feeling.

He saw Dumbledore's eyes twinkling at him, and Flitwick was bouncing at his seat. He also noticed the disapproving gaze of McGonagall probably because of his clothes.

With another shrug of his shoulder, he moved to the table and sat down. As soon as he sat, some golden plates appeared on the table with a huge amount of food. There were glasses of juice, milk, and surprisingly shakes.

Taking some Scrambled eggs and Sausages, with a glass of Orange juice. He noticed Mavis was staring at him hungrily, but there was no look given by the Raven, he had an intuition. He cut a piece of bacon and fed it to her.

As soon as she chewed down the food, she gave him vibes of happiness, but neither did she trilled nor cawed, so how?

He pieced another piece of Bacon, the same feeling washed over him, then again, it followed many times more, but when he was about to feed another piece, he felt like she was saying, 'This is enough.' Ignoring this feeling, he took the Bacon near her, but the same feeling washed over him, but then he stopped feeding her, and the feeling stopped.

It was indeed interesting, so Mavis and he were linked in a way, he decided to research it later. Clearing his mind from the thoughts, he chucked down his meal.

He was about to finish his meal when he saw a familiar brunette coming from the Gates. She looked at him, then Ravenclaw table, then at him, then the table, this process followed for some time after she came to his table and sat with him.

Harry nodded at her respectfully, and she nodded back, he could hear whispers running through the now filled hall. She filled her plate with the food.

He respected her courage, no person had approached him, again. Personally, he was a little surprised by the courage she demonstrated. Not many sat at other house tables. She petted Mavis before she took the bite to which the Raven trilled. He swallowed his food, and asked when she was rubbing her eyes, "Not a morning person?" As he looked at her, she shook her head.

She took a bite of her food, after some more bites, she eventually enquired, "Hey Harry," She nudged at him, he looked at her, "What is this 'Peverell' house?"

He swallowed the last bite of food, and placed his plate far away, as it disappeared. He shrugged, and responded, "Don't know, as much as Dumbledore told me. Peverell House was one of the five houses Of Hogwarts, but it was disbanded because no student was sorted into it...You can come and visit if you'd like."

He retrieved his notebook from his pocket, and took out the pen, he preferred over quill as it wrote much faster. He wrote the location of the tower, and offered it to her, "Here...Here is the address."

She smiled at him, and pocketed it, "Thanks Harry, I will visit you soon," She said, as she took a bite of the Sausage.

He decided to bring a change in conversation, he thought for a minute, "So, what are you going to do after breakfast?"

"Don't know, probably do some reading, and some exploring, maybe I would talk to Megan, how she is in Hufflepuff?"

Harry nodded in understanding, "Would you like to explore together?" Ashley smiled, "Sure why not!"

She finished her food and placed the plate which disappeared after a moment, they both left the Great Hall.

After some of their exploring, they found faster routes to the classes from their Common rooms, Ashley insisted on drawing the map, as Harry's drawing is at a level of acceptable not good.

She even asked him about the pen, which he told her.

They had found 5 hidden passages to Library, to say the Library was enormous. He found many books of Potions, Charms, Transfigurations. He would definitely come back again. Shame, there was a Restricted Area in the Library. Harry could not fathom that what was the point in keeping books if you could not read them.

After they both had drawn the map, a big hurdle came towards them, "We only have one map, but we are in need of two maps," Ashley pointed out.

Harry thought for some moments before he ushered her to his room, they both entered his room, as he began rummaging to the fourth-year books, he opened the Charms one. He turned several pages until he stopped at one.

He retrieved his wand from his holster, he took the map from Ashley who was giving him a questioning look. He ignored her before he pointed his wand at the map, waved his wand, and said, "Gemino."

After a moment, an exact copy of the map was laid before him, he waved his wand, but this time he produced no sounds, and just thought about it. Another fresh map was laid beside him.

"There we go," He said smugly.

Ashley huffed but smiled, "No need to look smug, but you have to tell me how did you do it." Without saying anything, he showed the page of the book to Ashley who huffed again.

She said in annoyance, "Not all of us are this far, Harry." Harry chuckled at this, he simply handed the new rolls of the map to Ashley, "There are two you can give one of these to Megan." He told her.

She nodded as she took the maps, she examined them carefully, before replying, "I would. Thank You, Harry."

Harry nodded his head as she left his room. His thoughts were interrupted by a 'Caw' from Mavis. He opened his trunk, and delve inside it. He went in front of the Mahogony Door, and whispered, "Sabaid," which meant 'Fight' in Scottish.

His training room was larger than the rest of his rooms. The floor of the training was covered with Mahogany wood. In front of him, four dummies were wearing dark cloaks which indicate them as Dark Wizards according to the shopkeeper who sold them free.

Someone wearing a dark cloak making them Dark Wizards, that did not make any sense, personally Harry liked the black color. After some physical training, Harry took the fighting stance and pointed his wand at the Dummy.

Waving his wand, and mentally thinking, 'Expelliarmus,' he saw a blue light going to the dummy with a good speed and disarming the stick which Dummy had.

These dummies were good for now but he needed a more advanced one that repels the spells too. These dummies were given by the Shop keeper, freely. He needed to go to Diagon Alley again. There were fifteen dummies, but he would use them carefully as these dummies would not be able to hold more powerful attacks.

He waved his wand and saw Filpendo going towards the enemies.

After an exhausting session of Magical training, he moved towards his library. He said the password 'Connaissances' and moved in to read about the third-year course. He had finished the second-year course and was looking forward to seeing how the teachers would teach.

He had two days to explore the castle, so he would do.

{SCENE BREAK}

For the two days, Harry and Ashley explored the Castle, sometimes Megan even joined. In these two days, no one tried to come near, for which he was glad for. He quite liked the company of Megan and Ashley.

Megan had short brown hair and was olived skin. She had a bubbly, and fun personality suited for a Hufflepuff, which was quite opposite to Harry.

Ashley also had a fun personality, but she was serious at times. Both were incredibly studious. Harry found it interesting that he was able to talk to these two considering he was almost a sociopath, according to the test he had given.

He observed Neville Longbottom, too. He did not observe him much but enough. The boy had made friends with Hermione Granger, and Dean Thomas, the toad boy. The rest of the part he kept with himself and seemed a little shy. Neither he approached Harry nor Harry approached him.

Harry ordered a book on becoming Animagus. Animagus is a witch or wizard with the rare ability to transform into a particular animal at will. The Animagus spell is very difficult and dangerous to perform, which is one reason that all Animagi are required to be registered by the Ministry of Magic which he was not planning to do.

Animagus transformation was on hold because it was somewhat related to Occlumency, and finding one's inner animals. Sure, he did find his Animagus in the tropical forest, but his priority is on Occlumeny as of now, and he was sure that he could become an Animagus by or by the end of the third year.

Harry had read all the four years of books of the core subjects- Potions, Charms, and Transfiguration. Defense class was pretty easy, and he was looking towards more explanation of Dark Arts. He was intrigued to know what makes Dark Arts dark.

I mean, he could save a person's life using an unforgivable, Imperius. He could give painless death using the Killing Curse rather than other painful death.

Dark Arts were forbidden in-country according to the Ministry Of Magic, yet there were/are families which not only practice Dark Magic but use it too, and what was the origin of Dark Arts. Because everything had its origin.

Whatever the case was, Harry Potter was not agreeing with the Ministry's definition of Dark Arts.

Harry ended his book, and pool of thoughts. He placed the books on his desk, as he climbed the ladder, and with 'Thud' he lay on the bed. Tomorrow, his classes would start which he was looking forward to...

"Caw," he chuckled when a mental feeling of acceptance washed over him. He scratched Mavis' feathers, as they both drifted to sleep.

{SCENE BREAK}

The next morning, Harry woke up at 5: 30 AM. Taking a hot bath in his trunk, which helped him to relax, he went to Great Hall. He wore a white shirt, and dark blue jeans, with his white trainers

Pasting the portraits, and the classrooms, Harry arrived at the Great Hall and took his seat at the center table. He noticed Ashley and Megan sitting at their own respective tables, probably to get the time Table.

Unlike the past two days, Harry had encountered some students on his way. He filled his plates with boiled eggs and took a glass of Mixed Fruit Juice. He ate silently, ignoring the muttering between the student.

His thoughts went to different topics whilst he was eating. Drinking the last bit of his drink, Harry noticed Professor McGonagall towards him. He set his glass, and plates aside. Without saying anything, the Scottish Professor placed a piece of parchment upon his table.

With a frown marring his features, he took the parchment, and read it silently-

8 to 9: 30 AM, Potions X 2 (Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and Peverell)

9: 30 to 11: 00 AM, History Of Magic X 2 (Gryffindor, Slytherin, and Peverell)

11: 00 to 12: 00 AM, Astronomy (Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, and Peverell)

12: 00 to 13:00 PM, Lunch

13: 00 to 14: 30 PM, Transfigurations (All Houses, and Peverell)

14: 30 to 16: 00 PM, Charms (Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Peverell)

Harry raised one of his eyebrows, the timetable was greatly inclined towards the Gryffindor, it must be headmaster's trick. Maybe he wanted him to make friends, which he was not interested in. He ignored it, it was also pointless writing Peverell in each and every one of them.

He was, anyway, going to join all of the classes, and then only would attend which would be interesting. Taking a piece of Bacon, he fed it to Mavis, who took it graciously. Again, he felt happiness inside his mind. He pocketed the timetable and continued feeding pieces of bacon to the Raven.

Taking out the books, he would need, he bagged them. He waited at the gate of the hall waiting for Ashley since both had joined classes. After 14 seconds or so, Ashley came, and they began to go to dungeons.

Ashley took out her map, which noted the locations of Dungeons, Harry did not really need that, considering he had memorized the whole map easily.

Harry mused internally, why a school would need dungeons but then again he had been introduced to the Magical world a month ago.

As they entered the dungeons, he could observe the slight lit Torches which were embedded on the walls. The place was very dark, in fact. There was a moist smell in the dark area. He could smell the fragrance of moist mud and brick.

Shooking these thoughts, they made their way down. Harry could smell the eirie smell increasing, it was like there was a water body near them, he needed to check that.

Mavis was shifting uncomfortably on his shoulder, ready to jump if there was an attack. Not that he could blame her, this place gave the same feeling as the horror movie, he once watched in Orphanage.

When they reached the classroom, they were the first ones to arrive. They took the seat in somewhat middle of the classroom. Soon the classroom began to fill as the people took their pieces.

They waited for some time before Snape entered the classroom with a bang on the door, startling the students, with his cape bellowing. Snape was looking like a batman, as his clothes were all black. He expected the man to point him out for not wearing the school robes, but the man ignored it.

He began to introduce himself, "You are here to learn the subtle science and exact art of potion-making. As there is little foolish wand-waving here, many of you will hardly believe this is magic. I don't expect you will really understand the beauty of the softly simmering cauldron with its shimmering fumes, the delicate power of liquids that creep through the human veins, bewitching the minds, ensnaring the senses... I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, and even stopper death - if you aren't as big a bunch of dunderheads as I usually have to teach..." His voice trailed off at the last part.

Harry noted each word of the man carefully, he somewhat agreed with man, any recklessness with potions could leave to severe consequences. The man's voice was silky, his every word was clear. Harry was no master in Potions, but he knew potions enough.

Mavis cawed at the moment from his shoulder, as Snape's eyes darted on her, "Potter! What is this bird doing at my class?"

Harry shrugged, and responded, "There are no rules that say Mavis can not stay in the class." Snape kept his mask expressionless, as he looked at another side of the classroom

Mavis landed herself Harry's hand, as he caressed her every feather. Mavis trilled in response. Snape's eyes changed the target several times, as he looked carefully at both of them.

Snape began to explain something else, until he finally shouted, "Potter! Where would you look I ask you to find me a Bezoar?" Snape asked with a smug smile.

There were no facial movements on Harry's face. Harry raised an eyebrow, before answering, "Stomach of the goat," his voice displayed no emotion. Snape's eyes widened a little only for a moment, but Harry noticed it.

Snape's head tilted slightly until he asked again but this time without a sneer, "What is the difference between Monkshood and Wolfsbane?"

"There is no difference, they both are the same plant, which also goes by Aconite." Again, there was neither an emotion nor a pause between the question and the answer.

Snape asked again, "The last question. What would I get if I added the powdered root of Asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?" This was a fourth-year question, but Harry had read them all so he knew.

He opened his mouth to answer, "Nothing but a stinking mess, but they are two of the five main ingredients of Draught Of Living Death, the other three being- Valerian root, Sopophorous bean, and sloth brain." He said in a bored tone, but going into extra details.

A ghost of a smile appeared on Severus' face, "Correct, 15 points to Gry...Peverell." He stated carefully.

After this pop-up quiz, Snape assigned partners for the boil cure potions. Ashley and Harry partnered together. Although Harry was enough good to get an O in potions, Ashley was a prodigy.

He noticed Snape was staring at him several times. By the end of the class, Harry and Ashley got an 'O' from Snape, he told them to leave which they gladly did.

{SCENE BREAK}

Harry found himself talking with a Slytherin, Blaise Zabini. The guy had a mischievous aura around him. He also had a brash, and rude tongue much like Harry, but the main difference was that he could curb his tongue which Harry could not.

Zabinis were an Ancient and Noble family. Their roots, surprisingly, were from Italy. He was also telling that his mother married seven men, who all died mysteriously which left Harry thoughtful.

Harry had placed a silencing Charm, around them so that no one could distract them. Professor Binns, a ghost, was a good Professor, that he was repeating the lines written in the book. Harry had crossed the History Of Magic period on his weekly timetable.

Harry left the History Of Magic, annoyed, he had wasted his time coming here.

Soon, they reached Astronomy Tower, there was not very much to learn. It was taught by Professor Aurora Sinistra, a dark-skinned, and dark-haired young woman. They went through the basics introduction Of Astronomy which left Harry bored.

Harry had purchased a muggle telescope rather than using a Wizarding one. The first moment he tried to observe the stars, he knew that he had wasted his money. After that, he went to a muggle shop to buy a new, and perfect model of Astronomers Telescope.

The period ended leaving Harry bored more, he grudgingly went to Great Hall for lunch. After taking a rather heavy meal, which consisted of steaks, and orange juice, he went to the Transfiguration Class.

Unlike the dungeons, the Transfiguration class was located in a fresh, and open location. Harry entered the Classroom, along with Ashley. They were the only ones who had arrived. Harry looked around the classroom it was nothing new, usual desk, seats. Then, his eyes darted on the cat which was sitting upon the Teacher's desk.

The cat was furry, with black stripes. She was looking irregularly stiff and was making no movements. There was a glassy shine in her eyes. An idea hit Harry's mind.

"Caw!" Mavis screeched at the cat. Looked like Mavis had the same idea as him. Harry took a seat next to Ashley. After some time of unbearable staring at the cat, Harry slowly nodded, "Hello, Professor." He smirked at her.

Cat-Gonagall eyes widened slightly, whilst Ashley looked confused, "Harry what are-" Her sentence was trailed off when she saw McGonagall morphing back to her human form.

She gave him a rare, small smile, "15 points to...Peverell for realizing that I was an Animagus." She stated, after a moment she looked at him curiously, "May I ask how were you able to recognize that I was the cat?" She asked him.

Harry shrugged, making himself with an expressionless face, he blandly spoke, "Firstly- no cat could remain so still and stiff. Secondly- the shine in your eyes looked like a glass shine, and thirdly..." He spoke as he took out the book on becoming Animaguds, "thirdly- I was planning to become one...Animagus."

McGonagall looked at him with disbelief, "You can understand it all?" Each word was laced with shock.

He shrugged again, and just gave her a short nod, she recomposed herself, or tried, and failed miserably, "Very...Very well, Mister Potter, but I am must inform you that Animagus transformation is very dangerous."

"I know, but I must ask you to keep it secret," He turned to Ashley, "And you too."

Harry put her index finger on her lips, "Don't worry, my lips are sealed." McGonagall merely just nodded as she morphed back to the cat, and sat on the table.

Soon, the class began to fill up with many students. After some silence, the door banged open as the same Freckled skin boy, and beside him, another boy-whose name Harry did not bother to know- entered the Classroom.

"We are lucky," Weasley said to the boy, "McGonagall would have killed us if we were late."

The boy nodded in agreement, "I know. Can you imagine the look on her face if we were late?" As soon as he finished the sentence, the cat morphed into McGonagall.

McGonagall asked sternly, "May I ask why you both are late."

"We...woke up late," Weasley admitted eventually.

"Well, perhaps next time I can transform one of you into a pocket watch. That way maybe one of you can come on time. Now take a seat." She said with her stern demeanor.

She began to introduce the subject, "Transfiguration is some of the most complex and dangerous magic you will learn at Hogwarts. Anyone messing around in my class will leave and not come back. You have been warned."

"Now I am assuming all of you have read the first two chapters of your transfiguration book that had been assigned reading list you received with your Hogwarts' letter," She waved her wand, and a matchstick appeared in front of them, "which would explain the matchstick currently laid in front of you. By the end of the lesson, I expect all of you to make at least some progress in turning your matchstick into a needle. Even though I do not expect all of you to complete the spell, some should be able to make some progress. Now Begin!"

McGonagall ended as every student went to the assigned work, taking out a third-year charms book, he placed it next to the needle. Harry lazily waved his wand, and the matchstick turned into a perfect needle. It was metal pointed with Hogwarts' symbol embedded on it.

Ashley gasped at him, which went to McGonagall's ears, she came near to his desk, her eyes popped out of the topic, she schooled her features, "That was quick!" She declared. She again spoke, "Mister Potter, will you please do that again so that I could see with my own eyes."

Shrugging his shoulder slightly, he waved his wand, "Mister Potter, I must admit that you have inherited your father's talent in Transfigurations. Take 10 points for that and 10 for non-verbal casting."

Harry gave her short, McGonagall continued, "Your father was a prodigy in Transfigurations. He probably would have been the most talented student I have ever taught."

Gasps could be heard across the room, the bushy-haired girl, Hermione asked curiously, "Professor McGonagall, how good was Harry's father at Transfiguration?"

"Well, Miss Granger. If he were alive, then he would have been teaching you, in my stead."

Harry offered the woman, a sad smile as he helped Ashley with the spell. After few turns, Ashley was able to do the spell. McGonagall gave her points for that.

Harry had noticed that he had been feeling emotions ever since he had been introduced to Wizarding. He smiled more often, felt sad, even he laughed at times.

In a muggle world, Harry had never been too much friendly. As the result stated he was an 'almost sociopath.' Never did he tried to converse with anyone.

But now he was changing and perhaps, this change was for his betterment!
