In A World Of My Own – Chapter 3 – The Hero Of Wonderland
Thursday 29th April 2021 – Down The Rabbit Hole (Wonderland)
Queen Quinn (The White Queen) and Dave Hatter where on their way to the kingdom in a carriage, with Kurt tied up in the back of it. Dave still didn't know why he was in trouble, but he knew to never get on Queen Queen's bad side.
Queen Quinn was the ruler of Wonderland and kept everyone in their place. She made sure everybody had a role and was looked after at all times, and Dave owed her a lot for that.
"HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL ME!" she yelled making Dave jump in the air.
"Tell you…..what?" Dave asked confused.
"About Kurt" She put.
"He just followed me into Wonderland" He said not wanting to get Brittany Rabbit into any trouble. "I didn't think much of it" he lied. "I was just going to make sure he was fine and treated and then return him back into the human world" he finished.
She looked at him laughing hard, still her face turned a dark shade of red.
This made poor Dave even more confused. Maybe she was doing that thing where she was fake laughing and then planning on hitting him if he faked laughed with her.
"So you have no idea who he is?" Quinn asked.
"No" Dave said still confused.
An hour later they arrived back at the kingdom. Where Quinn Queen ordered her guard to take Kurt to a bed in the castle and lay him down to rest.
Dave Hatter got out confused again. "Forgive me your majesty, but what was the point of tying up the poor boy, if you were just going to untie him when we came here?" he asked "He doesn't seem like a threat to me" he added.
"I don't think he is either" Quinn replied "But we can't be too sure if I am right"
"Right about what?" Dave asked.
"Follow me" She replied.
With that Hatter followed Queen Quinn into the castle. She lead him to a tall tower filled with books, boxes and research. In the middle of the room where was a red book, decorated with gold edges of the outside of it.
It looked big and long; the sort of book you would only read if you have a lot of time on your hands, he you were just really, really board.
Queen Quinn took him over to it smiling. "Do you know what this book is?" she asked him.
The Hatter shock his head "No"
Quinn smiled "This book is The Legacy Of Wonderland. My father gave it to me"
Dave smiled "That's lovely your grace, but what does this have to do with Kurt?"
Quinn put a hand on his shoulder "My father wrote this book to warn me of a great evil that would come to wonderland and try to take over and kill us all with her army" she explained.
Dave looked at her in shock "Like Queen Rachel (The Queen Of Heart/ Red Queen) is trying to do?!" he yelled.
"Yes" Queen Quinn replied "But he wrote that the hero of wonderland was the only one who would be about to defeat her with the sword of diamonds"
"Owwwh " Dave smiled smiling "Sound fancy. But who is this hero of wonderland?"
Quinn opened the big book turning to page 150 to show him a picture of Kurt with the sword of diamonds. "I believe it is Kurt"
Dave gasped in shock "K…Kurt? But he came here by accident. This can't be right can it?"
Quinn smiled "The book doesn't lie Dave. I truly believe he is the one that will save us all"
Dave smiled a little "Then how do we tell him, and convince him to stay?" he asked.
Quinn humped "I have no idea about that, but I will try my best to do both those things when he wakes up" she smiled.
"Okay" Dave smiled "Also what about this?" he said holding up his phone "It keeps making a noise, I think his dad might be trying to speak to him through it, it keeps coming up with his name" he explained.
Quinn looked puzzled "Umm…..try to leave his dad a message saying he is going to be staying with a friend for a couple of days and that he is sorry he ran away like that, but he friend really needed him"
"Okay" with that Dave did his best to type a quick text message to Kurt's dad. He had no idea if he had done is right, there were no phones in Wonderland, so whatever he did just have to be good enough.
"What now you majesty?" Dave asked smiling.
Quinn smiled "Now we just wait for him to wake up"
5pm Afternoon – The Farm
Burt had been up all night trying to look for Kurt everywhere. His feet were aching, and his back hurt. But all he cared about was finding his son.
He sat down for a quick break when his phone went off with a text message. Finally Kurt!
To: Dad
Yo Dad ! It's me your son, Kurt. I just wanted to say sorry for running of like that the other day. I had to help out a friend who needed me. I'm currently staying at his house but I should be back in a couple of days or so, and I will try to kept you updated. Love you – Kurt xxx
Burt had the re-read the message three times over. Kurt never used the word Yo. And he never talked about this friend he had, his use to say to his dad he preferred the company more from the farm animals, then his does of the people his age in Ohio.
But never the less he was glade that Kurt finally had a human friend and that he was okay. Now he could finally get some sleep.
10pm at Night – Wonderland Castle
Kurt had woken up in a strange but fabulous room. It was his favourite colour; pink and a little blue. He was on a soft bed alone, when someone walked through the door.
It was Dave. The man with the amazing hat. "Hello again" he smiled "Glade to see your awake. Did you sleep well?" he asked.
"Yes" Kurt smiled "Although I don't remember much of it, or how I got here" he explained.
"Queen Quinn brought you here" he smiled "You can trust her she is nice. This is Wonderland castle"
"Wonderland?" he asked confused. "What's Wonderland?"
"Wonderland is where all magical creatures live, there were not allowed in live in Ohio" The Hatter explained. "The abandoned house you see next to yours use to be where we all lived. But then someone found out we were magic or weird and told us to look for somewhere elsewhere"
Kurt looked at him sadly "Oh that's terrible. I'm so sorry"
Dave smiled at him "It's okay. We are stronger here"
Kurt smiled. He thinks he is going to like Wonderland.
Dave smiled blushing and coughing to himself after he noticed he had been staring at Kurt for a good 10 minutes.
"Umm the Queen asked if you would join us for dinner" he smiled.
Kurt smiled "I would love too"
With that Dave took Kurt down to the dinner hall to have dinner with him, Queen Quinn and the other good people of wonderland Kurt smiled coming into the hall. The castle was so beautiful and elegant; like something you would see of a dream or a fairy-tale place.
Everybody smiled at him saying hello and welcomed him with open arms. He never felt more at home in his whole life.
"Welcome to Wonderland" Queen Quinn said smiling at him.
"Thank you your majesty" Kurt replied getting up bowing to her.
Quinn smiled "Please call me Quinn and no need to bow you are more than welcome here"
Kurt smiled and they all sat and ate. Santana and Brittany told him more about themselves and how Santana really was half cat and Britt was have rabbit. But every now and then his eyes would drift back off to the hatter, who was eating but who was also making sure everybody at the table had enough to eat and drink.
After everybody had eaten and drank the white guard cleaned the table and everybody apart from Hatter, Quinn and Kurt left.
"Thank you for the meal" Kurt smiled "But I really should be getting back to my father, he will be ever so worried" he said about to leave.
"Wait!" Quinn said stopping him gently "We need you. It sound's crazy but you are our hero. You will save us all from the evil Queen Of Hearts, with the sword of diamonds" she explained.
Kurt looked at her confused and in shock "Me?" he asked "I'm not a hero, I'm just a boy from Ohio who help's his dad out on a farm, I can't save you, you must have me mixed up with someone else" he explained.
"We don't!" Quinn yelled "It's you I promise"
Kurt looked at her in shock again tuck on what to do.
With that Dave quickly ran to the tower and got the book bringing it down to show him.
Kurt looked at it puzzled. That was him alright, but how…..
"Please Kurt" Dave said looking at him worried. "Your are only hope and we will all support you"
"What about my dad?" Kurt asked.
"I messaged him with this" he said handing him back his phone "He knows you are okay and that you are going to be away for a while. He send me a picture back of a thumbs up"
Kurt giggled. Oh course they didn't have phones here. "Will I die?" he asked.
Dave looked at him kneeling in front of him "I give you my word, I will protect you will my life" he said.
How could he say no to that? "Where do we start?" Kurt said smiling.
And with that Dave hugged him tightly and he and Quinn smiled.
Now they could stand a chance. And get Wonderland back once and for all.
Hey All ! Sorry for no update yesterday I got busy and was out shopping with my mum. But I hoped you liked this chapter. The next chapter will have tweedle Dee and Dumb in (AKA – Sebastian & Blaine) And Kurt will being his quest to fight off evil Queen Rachel!
