You are all so amazing! As I've said before, this is a totally new type of story for me (both in the humour genre as well as the drabble), but as always, the community is right here to see me through it all!

A quick note from yesterday, Edward is American, living in Scotland (as I was when this whole pandemic started). Bella in the first chapter is in Los Angeles (studying at UCLA. If I ever have a character at USC, you'll know I'm losing it haha). Today is Rosalie, who is also at UCLA.

As always, thank you to my beta, Fran S. Flower, and my pre-readers, Jgaff & DaniDarlingxx.

Day 1: March 13, 2020

Rosalie

11:09 PDT

Los Angeles, California

I'm getting sick of my phone. It's been chirping nonstop for the last two hours. I reach out, silencing it, but it continues buzzing, pissing me off further. I push open the front door of the house, throwing my backpack down, and toss my phone on top of it. "Stop texting me!" I yell into the house. Alice is in the living room, and she's on her feet as soon as I speak.

"Did you hear?" She demands. I roll my eyes.

"Yes, that's why I'm home and not in my eleven o'clock lecture," I snap at her. She huffs.

"Rose, this is serious. The state is going into lockdown."

I sigh. "I know," I say softer. "Any idea what that means?"

Alice shakes her head, and we head into the living room. "No. I'm trying to get more details, but it's all so unclear right now. I think the gist of it is we have to stay at home, not go out unless it's absolutely mandatory." She frowns. "Have you talked to your folks?"

I roll my eyes and flop onto the sofa. "They have decided to retreat to the country house," I say, dryly. "Where they can wait out this pandemic in comfort." It's fucking ridiculous. My parents are rich, and it's made them both assholes. They live in Manhattan most of the year, though we've had the house in Upstate for longer than I can remember. Though to call it a house is a joke; It's an estate, one statue short of being Versailles. Both have requested I join them, but I'm ignoring it. I'd rather catch whatever this fucking virus is living here with my friends than spend any amount of time locked away with my parents.

"Where is Bella?" I ask, looking at Alice. She shrugs, glancing at her phone.

"She said she's coming home, but that was like two hours ago."

At that moment, the front door bursts open, and we look up to see Bella hauling her massive backpack in. "Help me!" she demands. Alice and I get up from the sofa to take the books out of her arms and off her back.

"Damn, Bella. Did you get the whole library?" I ask, hauling the backpack into the living room. She grunts.

"There are more in my car. If we're going into lockdown, I am so not risking losing access to this shit," she snaps.

I cringe.

It's a smart fucking move. Who knows how long this lockdown will last? We're all going to need books because if there is one thing that's certain right now, we're still going to be expected to do homework.

Ugh, was anyone else in school when the pandemic hit? I was literally in the middle of my master's degree. Had to write my dissertation without my school's library or any solid resources. It was... rough. haha

Thanks for coming back today. We'll check in again tomorrow! xx
