A/N: Hiya folks! Thought I'd pop back in here with another chapter. I haven't been able to write for this fic in a while, so the chapters I wanted to post will have to wait, but I do have some waiting in the wings, so you'll see one of them today.
Fair warning: This gets steamy! I wanted to explore this kind of writing and it's very much my first attempt so apologies if it sounds weird. Nothing too explicit, I promise, so maybe give it a shot and tell me how it is? I'd like to write some more like this, but if it doesn't pan out, I'll stick to my usual fare.
Featuring a married Elsa/Georg and a way too smug Anna.
Of Well-Intentioned Distractions
Georg couldn't say he was surprised to find his wife in her study, nor could he say he was surprised to find her crinkling her brows as she studied the paper before her.
He watched as she took notes, her elegant fingers moving rapidly across the parchment as she scribbled ideas down, pausing every so often to mumble absently under her breath about money-guzzling nobles and their corrupt practices. When she released a frustrated huff and moved on to the next document in her stack, he cut in.
"Anything I can do to help?"
A startled Elsa quickly broke into a soft smile on seeing her husband, though a blush quickly accompanied the thought as she realized…
I'm actually married now.
Even though it was getting to be three weeks since the grand affair, the sheer magnitude of the fact still took her breath away. Having spent much of her life with less than adequate interpersonal skills, Elsa had considered the prospect of marriage well beyond her reach. But meeting Georg had quickly destroyed that notion of hers.
Her ice magic hadn't scared him off, nor had he balked at her cold, guarded emotional safeguards that she'd spent thirteen years putting up. In fact, he'd quickly brought them down, becoming one of the three few people she trusted most in this world.
And now, she was married to him. Till death did them part.
She'd experienced a similar feeling of astonished disbelief after her reunion with Anna, but this – this was beyond her wildest imagination.
I actually have a husband…someone I truly love and who loves me just as much.
"Elsa, is everything alright?" Georg asked, his brow crinkled into an unbelievably adorable curiosity.
She smiled softly at him, grateful for the path that had led them to each other.
"Yes, everything is just perfect."
He returned a wide grin as he drew closer, "I thought you could use some help."
Elsa sighed regretfully. Unfortunately, she had quite a bit of work that she hadn't been able to tend to during the hectic months of her engagement. It was perhaps the biggest reason for her deciding against a honeymoon.
Imagine going away for two blissful weeks and then returning to a mountain of work. How exactly was she expected to relax with that waiting for her?
"I'm sorry, Georg. If I can wrap this up by tonight, I promise we can spend some time together later."
He shook his head softly, "It's okay, I understand." He came up behind her chair and gently kissed her temple before resting his cheek on her head, wrapping his arms languidly around her neck.
It was an incredibly comforting gesture that Elsa relished for just a moment before reluctantly turning her attention to her work. She was perhaps halfway through a ten-year old document about the kingdom's defense spending when Georg finally cast a glance over her shoulder.
"Comparing budgets?"
Elsa hummed in response. "Some changes need to be made. I'm looking at previous budgets to get some ideas."
He nodded, a smirk playing on his lips as he mused out loud. "It's quite the thrilling life, isn't it? The life of a monarch? Such excitement, such intrigue!"
The queen snorted. "Indeed. I've never been so excited in my life." She returned a deadpan look over her shoulder, "Please put me out of my misery."
Georg couldn't help the wily, mischievous gleam in his eyes that emerged at her words. His dear wife had no idea what she had asked him to do.
Oh, I will.
But he merely returned a quick chuckle as he began to play nonchalantly with the hair at the nape of her neck.
The gesture admittedly caught Elsa unawares. Despite her every attempt to focus on the words before her, the incredibly feathery touch of his fingers dancing against her skin sent a tingle down her spine.
She cleared her throat and tried to keep reading.
Unfortunately, she only managed to get halfway down the page before Georg's hands distracted her yet again, this time by working their way up her neck and to her temples, where they began a gentle massage that soothed her burgeoning headache.
Elsa leaned back against her chair with a low hum, grateful for her husband's tacit understanding. "Oh, that feels wonderful."
Georg smirked a little at the compliment but continued his ministrations, working his fingers in concentric circles along her temples and pressing just the right pressure points to trigger another deeper hum of satisfaction.
"Hmm…"
Her eyelids fluttered close as the repetitive rhythm of his movements lulled her into a blissful state of tranquility. All work forgotten; Elsa let her hands drop to her lap.
Georg smiled at the sight, leaning in to whisper in her ear, "You can keep working…I don't want to distract you."
Elsa would have stuck her tongue out at him if she could. After all, he darn well knew what he was doing was distracting…
But she didn't care, because the massage was doing wonders to drive away her headache and causing this pleasant and somewhat familiar feeling deep inside her soul that Elsa was sure she didn't want him to stop.
Slowly, eventually, his hands worked their way down from her head, running along the pale expanse of her lithe neck and pausing near her shoulders, where they proceeded to knead her stiff muscles like dough in the hands of an experienced baker.
Her husband's fingers quickly developed a steady rhythm, pressing softly into her fair skin to smooth out the knots of stress that had lingered there for hours.
As the tension in her body dissipated at the mere touch of his fingers, Elsa could only manage one coherent thought.
Magic, it has to be.
A thrum of energy passed through her core as Georg's fingers brushed against a particularly sensitive spot on her neck. He'd discovered the spot on the night of their wedding, and since then, he'd taken to finding any opportunity to touch it… to kiss it… to mark it.
The vivid images of his teeth against her soft, pale skin only sent another thrilling tingle through her being, further weakening Elsa's self-control. In spite of herself, she let out a small moan, the sound barely escaping through partially open lips and escaping into the air like a thief in the dead of night.
But the sound, quiet though it had been, drew a playful, smug grin from the prince. He leaned down, his lips just barely brushing against the tip of her ear as he breathed. "I can stop if you want me to."
This pulled Elsa out of her intoxicating trance. She tilted her head back to glare at him. "Don't you dare."
The breathy reply elicited a self-satisfied smirk from the prince. He began placing soft, open-mouthed kisses on her hair and neck, his hands continuing their delicate dance across her shoulders and down her arms.
Elsa didn't know whether to thank or chastise herself for wearing a sleeveless dress, for as she felt his coarse finger pads gliding against her soft skin, she could feel her self-control ripping itself to shreds.
Her mind, her body, her soul…everything was on fire.
And then, his wayward lips latched onto that spot on her neck. The back of the chair prevented him from gaining much access, but even the bare brush of his mouth against her bundle of nerves sent her heart racing. Another tingle of electricity surged straight to her core.
"Ohh…Oh God." She arched up from the chair towards him, but before she could relish the feeling any longer, his lips had already moved to the other side of her head to begin pressing kisses to her earlobe.
She felt his knowing smile against her heated skin.
He's teasing me…the big stinker!
Elsa had half a mind to tease him right back, but the other half of her mind, trapped as it was in her growing inferno of desire, had no time for such games.
When Georg pressed his lips to her cheek, Elsa surprised him by turning her head and capturing his smart-alecky mouth with hers, the fiery passion of her gesture leaving him utterly breathless.
She pulled back with a raspy demand. "I need more."
Georg drew back to look at her, his wide brown eyes clear with surprise. The hooded look in her rapidly darkening cerulean eyes sent a tantalizing shiver down his spine. He'd never seen Elsa like this before, not when it came to matters of intimacy.
Doe-eyed, adorably naïve, and bashfully self-conscious of herself, yes.
But this, this alluring, no-nonsense, demanding side of her?
It seemed his plan had worked well…maybe too well.
"Bedroom?" He whispered, unable to say anymore over the surge of desires that swept through him.
Elsa shook her head. "I can't wait that long." With the flick of her wrist, she sent a gust of wind towards the door so that it slammed shut.
A stunned Georg looked at the door, then back at Elsa. "In here?!"
He was pulled into another searing kiss that sent a spike of heat through his being. "No one will disturb us…"
The words broke through the last of his resolve. Georg grinned against her lips and picked her up in response, eliciting a delighted squeal from Elsa. He effortlessly carried her across the room to the couch, but he could only lay her down gently before Elsa pulled him down into another toe-curling kiss, the fire inside her begging for an outlet.
Limbs intertwined and pillows went flying across the room as their tongues engaged in a dangerous dance, but even this did nothing to quell the fiery ball of pent-up frustration that lay inside her. She was sure she would explode from sheer anticipation if they didn't do something about it soon.
Desperate for more, she began tugging at Georg's clothes until he got the hint. He shrugged off his vest and reached up to take off his glasses, but his hand was caught by slender fingers.
"Never the glasses."
Georg offered a genuine smile at her sentimental gesture before diving in to nip at the oh-so-familiar spot on her neck. The mere contact elicited a whimper from Elsa. Keen on keeping him there, she wove her fingers through his jet-black hair and held him in place as he worshipped the spot like his life depended on it.
"Oh, oh…-" She sucked in a shaky breath. "K-keep going…"
An adept tongue and teasing teeth continued toying with the area while his hands roamed along her torso and came to rest on her waist. There they proceeded to knead the skin through her silk dress, moving in a familiar, comforting concentric pattern.
It all only stirred Elsa's passions more. She pulled his head up to deliver another passionate kiss, this one leaving them so breathless that Georg nearly keeled over from asphyxiation.
"Wh-where did that come from?" He managed to stutter when he could speak.
Pleased with herself, Elsa managed a smug half-shrug, "Just appreciating your magical fingers."
Georg let out a low chuckle. "So now I have magic too, do I?"
Elsa nodded honestly, her expression softening as it looked straight into his warm brown eyes. "I've always thought so."
The tender look in her eyes threatened to undo him. Eager to show his appreciation, he leaned in to trail a series of searing, biting kisses his way down her neck and to her collarbone, where, when interrupted by the fabric of her dress, he began to shrug it off her shoulders.
For Elsa, it couldn't have been fast enough. She wove her fingers into his curly locks, grasping onto the roots like her life depended on it. "Fa-faster..."
He smiled against her skin. "Patience is a virtue, my dear."
She responded with a slight annoyed tug and an uncontrollable groan. "I-I…don't have any."
Georg gracefully decided to end her plight and began inching the dress down faster. For every bit the dress moved, he planted kisses on the newly revealed skin, slowly but surely making his way down to where she needed him most.
Elsa was sure she was going to explode if the teasing kept up any longer. Her back arched into the air as she buried her hands in his hair, already anticipating the pleasure that was soon to follow-
Only to be startled by a familiar rhythmic knock at the door.
"Elsa? Are you in there?"
The exasperated groan that came tumbling out of Elsa was quickly cut off by Georg, who covered her mouth just in time. Thanking him for his discretion, she pulled herself back from the proverbial brink before managing to reply in a steady voice.
"I'm busy, Anna."
"Okay," The princess responded from the other side, "Just letting you know that dinner is getting cold."
Elsa struggled to ignore the tingling kisses Georg was leaving on her side of her neck as she replied, "Thank you love. I'll be there soon."
She attempted to return to the task at hand, but it seemed her sister wasn't done yet.
"You wouldn't happen to know where Georg is, would you?"
Georg let out a snort, but a sharp glare from Elsa quickly shut him up.
"No. Perhaps he's in the library?"
There was a brief silence. "No, I checked. Couldn't find him anywhere."
Elsa slapped away a stray hand that attempted to move her dress off her shoulders, her frustration rapidly escalating. "I'm sure he'll turn up eventually."
"Okay, just don't take too long." It wasn't until Anna's footsteps had faded down the hallway that Elsa felt herself sigh in relief.
And then she turned to glare daggers at her husband. "Are you trying to get us caught?!"
He grinned wickedly. "I'm sorry, but I couldn't help myself. You're just so irresistible when you're being sneaky."
Despite her best attempts at a frown, Elsa couldn't help but blush at Georg's statement. "Unfortunately, we don't have long before Anna gets worried. We'll have to pick this up later."
At his pout, she gave him a pointed look and huffed. "We wouldn't have to, but someone decided to take their own sweet time."
He shrugged sheepishly, "You're worth all the time in the world?"
Elsa responded with a chuckle and a bemused eye roll, but Georg knew her enough to understand he'd been forgiven. "I just wanted to help you relax," He confessed, his eyes darting away from hers in a sudden bout of shyness. "You looked like you could use a massage. The rest…that was an unexpected bonus."
The queen responded with a soft chuckle. It was a touching sentiment, and so very much like her husband.
"Thank you, love. I feel so much better." She leaned up to press a grateful kiss to his lips before pulling away with a sigh-
Only to giggle as she took in his disheveled appearance. Glasses lay askew on his handsome face, juxtaposed by smeared lipstick and thoroughly ruffled hair. "You look positively scandalous. If the papers saw you now, you'd never hear the end of it."
Georg returned a sly smile, "You don't look wholly innocent either."
Elsa rose from her spot to look in the mirror only to let out a surprised gasp. "Good Lord, I look like-like…"
"Like we've been having the time of our lives." Georg retorted with a smug smirk.
Elsa smacked his arm before turning her attention back to the mirror. As she smoothed out her dress and redid her hair, Georg came to stand behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and leaning his cheek against hers.
"I don't see why we should bother with such trifles. We're married now, they expect this kind of behavior from us."
A blushing Elsa turned to meet his eyes. "Be that as it may, I don't need the whole world knowing what we were about to do in here."
Georg raised a smug eyebrow. "Who cares? Here, there. It's your castle, we can do whatever we want…" He leaned in to kiss her neck, his next words whispered against her skin. "Wherever we want."
"Oh you…" Elsa nudged him playfully at the implication before turning to straighten his collar.
The prince watched her with a small smile as she fussed over his appearance for a bit before letting her hands travel up to clasp his face. Her cotton-soft hands brushed across clean-shaven skin to cup his cheek.
Few moments compared to the one before her. Few words existed to describe the multitude of emotions swelling in her heart at that moment, but as Elsa took in the unbelievably gentle eyes and the soft adoring expression on her husband's face, she thanked the heavens for blessing her.
"I love you, min kjaerste."
He leaned down to kiss her forehead with a gentle smile, "I love you too, mein liebling."
Reluctantly, the couple broke away from each other and quickly tidied up the room, putting the pillows and covers back where they belonged.
Once the evidence of their little escapade was successfully hidden, Elsa unlocked the door, but not before ushering Georg out onto the balcony.
"I'll check if the hallway's empty." Elsa replied when he began to question it, "If we both leave at once, they'll figure it out." Georg chuckled at his wife's behavior, but went out to the balcony anyway.
Elsa took a few moments to compose herself before sticking her head out the door. It felt wrong...being a sneak around her own home, but it was a small price to pay to maintain her dignity.
She scanned the vast hallway. It seemed the coast was clear. No servants, no guards, no -
"Hey Elsie!"
Elsa stumbled back in surprise, her heart pounding rapidly as she braced against the door frame. "A-Anna, good god, you know better than to scare the life out of me!"
"Uh, sorry?" Anna replied, perplexed by her sister's jumpy behavior. "I just wanted to check up on you. Gerda's wondering if she should serve you dinner in here instead and I…" She trailed off as she looked at her sister, and then, she laughed and smacked her forehead. "Oh, that makes so much sense. I should have known."
Elsa frowned, "Known what?"
Anna shook her head as she tried to conceal her growing amusement. "Your closed door, Georg suddenly disappearing, you acting like you got caught with your hand in the cookie jar…it's so obvious!"
The blonde went through a series of emotions, embarrassment and irritation chief among them, but for the sake of her own sanity she settled on feigned ignorance.
"Anna, what are you talking about?" She asked, but unfortunately, and perhaps predictably, her dear sister found the whole ordeal absolutely amusing.
"I certainly didn't expect such behavior from you, Elsie. To be honest, I bet against you two. Even told Kristoff you weren't wild enough to try something like that in here, of all places." Anna managed a proud smile, "But wow, I guess marriage has changed you."
Elsa could feel her headache returning. Good God, she didn't want to be having this discussion with her baby sister of all people!
Relaxing break, my foot.
"I don't have the faintest idea what you're referring to." Please, for the love of God, get the hint, Anna. I beg of you.
But Anna's smirk only grew at her sister's deepening blush. "Oh Elsie, you don't have to beat around the bush. I'm talking about you, and Georg. You two were in here doing…funny business, weren't you?"
Elsa's face blanched considerably.
Why won't the earth just swallow me whole and spare me from my misery?
"W-What? Why would you think that?" She responded meekly, but the defense was weak to even her own ears.
Anna returned a deadpan stare with one eyebrow up in amused disbelief. "Really, Elsa. You're gonna try that with me? You have a love bite on your neck."
Color rose to her heated cheeks as an annoyed Elsa turned to the balcony, "You could have told me that, you know!"
Georg peeked out sheepishly from his hiding spot on the balcony. He'd heard enough of their conversation to know that Elsa was so close to murdering him. "Um, would it make you feel better if I said I didn't notice it either?"
"You didn't notice it?!" Elsa asked, an incredulous look on her increasingly red face. "Aren't you the one who put it there in the first place?"
Georg grinned proudly at the reminder, like a cat who'd caught a canary. "In my defense, I was doing a few things at once, so I may or may not remember where I did and didn't leave any reminders-"
The self-satisfied smirk dropped from Anna's face. Suddenly, she didn't want to know just what her sister and her brother-in-law had been up to. "Uh, can I be excused from this conversation?"
It was with an embarrassed sigh that Elsa turned back, "Yeah…can we pretend this never happened?"
Anna nodded emphatically, "More than okay with me." She quickly hurried out of the room before she could be scarred for life, leaving Elsa to glare at her husband who sheepishly, hesitantly tip-toed into the study.
"You're-you're not upset, are you?"
One perfect eyebrow went up in response.
He shrugged shyly, "Cause I think it's pretty funny, actually."
Elsa attempted to maintain the glare, but it didn't take long for the absurdity of the situation to sink in. She let out a soft giggle, her expression softening into a bemused admonishment.
Relieved by the sight, Georg pulled her into a hug, "I'm sorry I didn't notice the love bite."
Elsa shook her head with a fond smile, a pale finger tracing the seams of his sleeve and working its way up his arm before she cupped her hand behind his neck. "It's okay…though I suspect Anna will be rather awkward around us for a while."
He knew that was definitely a possibility, but he shrugged nonetheless, "I don't mind. I regret nothing." Georg leaned in to kiss her softly, the gesture stirring up familiar, unfulfilled passions that drove away any semblance of shame she still felt.
It was hard to be embarrassed about something that felt so right, so necessary.
"You know what?" Elsa whispered against his lips, before pulling back to glance into his warm brown eyes. "Neither do I."
He smirked, "So we're still doing some funny business later?"
Elsa smacked his arm, "Georg!"
