John 'Sunlight' Mistry is identified as one of the greatest rivals that Doc Savage ever had. Intended to be his first antithesis, John was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan into a large, screwed up family of mixed Anglo-Indian, Pashto, Tajik and Persis descent. His mother and father were basically too uncaring for survival and perhaps quite murderous towards him, resulting in his abandonment on the streets.
He was eventually taken into Wemad's care. However, Wemad made him a tyke bomb and much later a full grown brat attempting to nuke out the world. Once freed from Wemad's ever declining and worsening control, he would undergo drastic character development from always lawful evil to chaotic neutral.
