Nah

Huff...huff...

"Hurry everyone!" A woman yelled, being followed by not only her allies.

...But legions of undead monsters.

I tried my best to catch up. I may not be as physically fit as my comrades, but just the thought that maybe we have hope after all just kept me going. My brown locks trailing behind my running and in my chest was the only memento of my father I had, which even to me looked odd, but his "Hammer Multi Tool" as he told me it was held sentimental value to me. No matter what, I mustn't lose it. More importantly I must be alive to see him.

Earlier in the day, Lucina informed us about what Naga told her, we can go back in time and stop the future from going into ruin. At first I wasn't sure what to do. Most of us wanted to stay, but the others, like me, wanted to go with her into the past. The chance of seeing mother and father one more time felt more than worth risking my life at the moment.

We eventually make it up Mount Prism and into the temple, but not without the unwelcomed army chasing after us.

"Everyone, keep running! I'll hold them off!" Lucina shouted, pulling out her Falchion, the only memento of her father. I couldn't accept this, we promised we'd all go together!

"No way!" I swiped my hand as if to emphasize how serious I was. "We're making it together, no if, ands, or buts about it!" Taking a stance very similar to what father taught me. Severa, Gerome, and Noire as nervous as she looked, also stood strong. "Gawds, you're starting to sound like him too." The redhead commented with some melancholy in her tone, making me feel somewhat proud as I knew who she was talking about. From there we decided to together to fend off the Risen.

Staring into the dark opening of the temple, panting in anticipation of the evil coming right at us. Once the first Risen busted in, Lucina and Severa charged, Gerome took to the skies with Minerva, Noire and I kept our distance and acted as ranged combatants. The two swords women sliced down wave after wave of Risen, it amazed even me. But I had no time to focus on that, I had to fight too!

As Noire cocked back her arrow and fired at far away Risen, I had pocketed my memento before firing some Thunder spells at the middle wave of the undead soldiers, many of them being charred upon impact and disintegrating. I heard a squeak from behind me, flipping me around to see Noire getting circled by the Risen. Poor girl looked terrified, I had to do something!

'Father, give me strength.' I think to myself, remembering the few times he trained me, there was one technique that he used to moe down enemies like this. I propelled myself with Elwind and took to the skies, keeping myself a float with small bursts of wind under my feet as I charged lightning in my fingertips, I must've looked fierce because I immediately yelled out the name of this move.

"NARUKAMI!" Throwing my hand down, Thunder magic hit one of the Risen which spread throughout the circle instantaneously, killing them in one fell swoop.

'Remember to land properly or you'll be left open' his words echoed in my head, and I propelled myself again to an empty space, landing on my feet.

The archer girl uttered a "T-thank you." Before she grasped her talisman, reawakening her more fierce persona. "BLOOD AND THUNDER! HOW DARE YOU CRETINS SURROUND ME!" She roared out, firing arrows at a speed that would've dizzied even Lucy's father.

I looked to Gerome, and he seemed to be doing fine, picking off enemies one by one in the sky. Lucky for us, there wouldn't be any room for flying Risen to come in anytime soon. I wouldn't need my Dragonstone for this fight after all.

Eventually Lucina and Severa cut down the final Risen, who turned to dust like the rest of them. We were safe for now... key word being 'for now.' I knew something was coming, and taking initiative, I turned to everyone. "We need to go, now!" Without so much as letting them respond, I ran beside Lucina up the steps, where we find ourselves face to face with a figure that faded in. Naga...

Stoney

"Milord, with all due respect, are you certain about recruiting these two strangers? One of them's wearing the strangest clothes even, they could be Plegian spies for all we know." The horseback knight whispers to Chrom, but the rest of us can still hear him you know!

I paid him no mind, he was called Frederick the Wary for a reason. I was here walking beside Lissa and Robin, they were much nicer company.

"Frederick, please. I know good men when I see them, and while there may be a possibility they're Plegian, they helped us stop a bandit raid. No bad person would go through with that." If only you knew, bud...

As the two had some back and forth, I was more focused on Lissa's questioning right now. "So Stoney, where are you from exactly?" The blond with her hand behind her back leaned towards me with that inquiry. I don't think they'll understand if I tell them I'm from America, so I guess I'll be vague. Faking a ponder with my fingers to my chin i responded with "Well, if you go all the way south and take a left, you'll find my hometown." I grinned to myself as I watched her pout. "Okay fine, don't tell me." She crossed her arms and childishly turned away with a "Hmmph." I start to chuckle slightly in amusement.

"You really are an enigma, Stoney." The mage on the other side comments, "I have no memories of my life, but even I should know that simple Fire spell shouldn't have been so powerful on your first try. Are you certain that was your first time using magic?" With an eyebrow perked at me, I had no idea how to respond. Even I'm not sure why or how that worked, but apparently my magic prowess surpassed even Robin's, meaning I'm basically a mage Jagen by the game's logic. Can't say I'm much stronger in every other field however, I'm still a squishy guy, aren't I?

Shaking my head I hadn't a clue either, I did keep the tome. "You know, that puzzles even me. I never used magic until today, so I don't have an answer for that." Robin smirks at me, clenching my shoulder "Well either way, I'm glad you're on our side." Geez, I don't remember you being this overly friendly in game. Then again we're both strangers with unknown origins, at least to everyone here, so maybe he saw some relation in me? Yeah we'll go with that. There is one thing I'm wondering now.

Am I in the ruined timeline, or in the Lucina timeline? Depending on the answer, I might be either screwed, or slightly less screwed.

It was getting dark however, so Chrom decided to call it a night and set up camp. It went exactly how you expected. Lissa complaining about eating bear, also eating fucking bear. Never thought I'd ever do that in my life. Though it wasn't that bad, I probably wouldn't eat it again, it tastes a little... eh.

...Then a new revelation hit me. I'm really trapped here, trapped until I either die fighting a war I have no place in, or until I find a way home. There's gotta be a way right? The Outrealm Gates aren't just a game mechanic to sell you DLC, right?! Who's gonna tell my mother, who's gonna tell my uncle, who's gonna tell my friends, who's gonna tell my lover, who's gonna tell anybody?!

Before I knew it I was shaking and sweating. It's clearly noticeable probably. Because I heard a voice speak up. "Stoney? Are you feeling alright, you look a little pale?" With a shakey voice I replied "Y-yeah, I'm just tired."

No Robin, I'm not fucking fine. I'm anything but fine. I'm this fucking close to losing my mind.

The new tactician eyed me with a suspicious look, but decided not to press further "Ooookay." He replies. Dude definitely knows I'm not okay, even Chrom looks a little worried, but being the naive prince he is, just took my word for it. Not without shooting me a 'We should talk about it's kind of look.

Happy thoughts, Stone boy... happy thoughts.

Soon after, we decided to call it a night. Well this is the moment of truth, am I gonna stay up all night with my thoughts running, or am I gonna be running from Risen all night?

Just like the game, we all laid on the floor. I guess these guys are comfortable in their armor? I can't imagine Frederick in his bulky shell would be, but I guess so. Anyway, it played out just how I hoped. Chrom and Lissa stood up from my peripheral vision, being unable to sleep because our prince felt something was off.

I won't bore you with too many details, but it went a little something like this...

When the sibling duo got up, so did I. "Can't sleep either?" The two looked over to me. Chrom speaking up, "Stoney, I kind of have a bad feeling. I can't explain it but I think I'm gonna have a look around." Lissa then chimes in with "I'm coming too. Can't leave my brother getting all paranoid or anything." The three of us agreed to walk together. Yeah this is probably around that time shit hits the fan. And by shit I mean fire, and by fan I mean this entire freaking forrest.

Like something straight out of San Andreas, the ground rumbled until it spewed upward on a pillar of lava, Lissa yelling in shock and Chrom and I ran away, with the blond following us suit. "This way!" He yells, all of us dashing and jumping down plateaus. We managed to get away and into a slightly less dangerous part of this burning woodland, not before Lissa catches up and before she can catch her breath, points up at the sky "G-guys, what's that??"

Oh I see Lucina has arrived, and she brought 'friends.' The glowing ball of light implodes on itself, then a glyph with something resembling an eyeball formed in its place, dropping down hordes of groaning Risen, which are basically the zombies of this world.

Despite them falling from quite a height and splating on the ground, they were quick to stand back up, the natural murderous gaze in their eyes when they spotted us, readying their rusty weapons at the same time. Chrom steps out in front of us, unsheathing Falchion slowly. "You two stay back." Was all he said.

"That's gonna be a no from me, I can fight as well." I pulled out my tome, tiny embers flickering in my fingertips. I was more than ready to burn some walking corpses.

"Fine then, but be careful." I nod and step in front of Lissa, who had her axe pulled out, yet she was shaking at these beasts. Not that I could blame her, but get your head in the game, girl!

Chrom dashed and slashed one in its side, but that doesn't put it down for good as it turned its head a full 180 to face him, shocking the guy. I had my own problems however. The Risen all ganged up on me, forcing me to retreat, flinging fireballs in their direction and occasionally dodging a few slashes and chops from them. I sent a fireball through one of their skulls', then out of my peripheral vision the eyeball revealed another figure, this one flipped out of the wormhole and landed gracefully and dashed at full speed at the cowering Lissa, being cornered by a Risen and crying for help.

I stood there, basically watching a live recreation of that cutscene in game. Lu- err, the stranger parried an overhead chop from the undead creature, just barely fighting back against it. Lissa finally opened her eyes to see the 'mystery swordfighter' struggling to fend off the axe Risen. Chrom sees 'him,' stopping and staring in bewilderment. I on the other hand was watching unfazed. I knew this would happen, but I hope nobody noticed my lack of expression throughout this.

The struggling fighter turns to Chrom, "Help!" 'He' barked out of desperation to our prince, who then proceeded to assist our stranger with a duo slice to its side, finally ending the creature. Once that was dealt with, Chrom and I gathered ourselves and we looked at this new face, everyone else looking mystified and curious, I stared blankly. The teen looked to Chrom, thankfully avoiding my gaze. "Quite an entrance there." Chrom says, "What's your name?"

Before they could answer, the echoing of galloping came from behind me, Frederick and Robin running in. The conversation went exactly like the game did, so I didn't really contribute to it. But there was one thing I noticed, the 'boy' ran off while everyone was panicking, their gaze landing on me just as I watched them take off. If I didn't know any better, I wouldn't have thought they looked a little uneasy by the fact I was just watching, not even bothering to stop them or call them out.

"...And I would've been toast if it weren't for this mysterious savior! Speaking of... where did he go?" Lissa trailed off. Frederick then responds "We have more important manners to tend to. Like putting these... things... to the blade!" Oh that's right! The Risen are still crawling around.

To avoid getting tedious at this rate, we fought them off, nothing flashy or anything happened. Although we did run into two more people...

I apologize for being late, but here. I forget I have to rehash most of the story before actually getting into some meaty stuff, which feels kinda bumming tbh.
