Hello again!
Hope everyone likes the previous chapter. Not my best work, but I still like it.
Yes, Techno will naturally look like SAD-ist version. You can imagine him as another fan version, but that's how he looks in this story.
Anyways, still wondering if I should have Amber and Techno become a thing. It would not matter now, but we will see in the future.
On to the story!
This is bad.
The Maiden has gone missing. Of all the times, I should have expected Qrow's bad luck to effect this mission somehow.
I do not blame him, for he could not control his own power. Nor could he watch Amber for her whole trip. Although it seems my secretary, Glynda, disagrees.
"She's missing!" She yells. "I am afraid so. We should have prepared for something like this, letting her go on the belief she is alone."
"That does not matter! Qrow should have been there to watch her!" "I believe even when tipsy Qrow will become irritable while watching her for that long."
"Yes, but the moment he was away she disappears. Even worse, there are traces of blood and an explosion, which could mean multiple things for the Fall Maiden."
"We must stay calm, for being angry will get us nowhere. If this is one of the queens move, then she will become stronger. We will have to focus on finding her, or looking for the other maidens. As well as being on high alert, if she has the Fall maiden's power, then we must keep the vault secured."
"I agree, but if she isn't dead then she can be anywhere. We should lock down the school before anyone like-"
"Like the Fall Maiden on our front door." She stops and stares at me. "It seems she has made it here OK, as well with the help of an unknown. There seems to be a man in a pig mask with her." "I'm sorry, she is with what?"
At that moment the elevator doors open to see the two. "Ozpin. I have made it."
"I can see that. Glad to see you made it OK, but who might you be?" He was quit for a few seconds. "Just a wanderer." Glynda did not seem to like that answer.
"Just a wanderer, you say? And what are you doing along side Amber." "He's ok, I was attacked while on my trip here. He saved me."
"Is that so, who attacked you?"
The next half hour was spent with them explaining what had happened. Seems the now named Technoblade is from a foreign land, and came here after an accident that had made him leave his land.
That must be a lie, or only half truth, because I do believe there is no foreign land I am not aware of that does not retain such basic knowledge of Remnant. I will play along, just to not cause conflict.
Glynda seems to think differently. "I have never heard of such a place that exists. Are you sure your telling the truth?" "Yes, why would I lie?" They were locked in a quit, mental battle.
"Please Glynda, do not be so rude to our guest. I do appreciate you helping young Amber, but what it is you wish from us?"
"Do you have any place that can help me gain knowledge on this new... place." "Amber, would you be so kind as to lead our friend to our Library." "Yes Ozpin."
As they leave, I can tell Glynda is mad. "Ozpin, you are letting a stranger into our facility?" "It will be alright Glynda, if he is a threat, than why save Amber"s life? Also, something is off about him. He may not be from a foreign land, but I do believe he was telling the truth about not knowing much about Remnant."
"Maybe so, but he could be a spy. He could be using Amber to get to us and tell the queen when to strike." "Maybe so, but if he did work for her, then why would she not just take Amber out and take the fall Maiden's power?" She went quit.
"I still don't trust him." "You don't have to. We will keep an eye on him. Besides, he will not be here for long."I watch through our security cams as they walk to their destination.
Cinder:
This is bad.
Both my henchman have been injured, and worse that pig stopped me from taking my power!
How dare he, I deserve that power more than that child. Next time we meet, I shall fill that promise.
I just hope Salem will not be that angry. I will just have to try again. That power will be mine.
Emerald was resting on the bed, while Mercury was treating his wounds. I swear, if only they were stronger I would not have to fall back.
I then notice one of Salem's creatures come in. I quickly stand up, ready to explain my failure. Ugh!
A projection of Salem appears, giving me slight shivers. I hate that she still gives me the creeps.
"Cinder, did you retrieve the Fall Maiden's power?" "No, my queen. Someone stopped us from retrieving it." "Really, who?"
I go on to explain the fight with pig. She seemed shocked by some of the details. "He threw what at his feet?" "Some sort of liquid, it looked like he had absorbed it. Would that happen to be his semblance?"
"Maybe, you said he as well figured out a way past your henchman's illusion?" "Yes, was it from the liquid?" "I have a theory, but I must prove it first. You shall stay here until you are needed again." "Yes, my queen."
In a wake of smoke, she disappears. I hope she doesn't kill that pig, for I wish to do it myself.
Salem:
This is bad.
If what cinder says is true, then it could be bad for me and my pawns. If that man was using potions, then that could mean an Alchemist still lives! I thought the gods had killed all of the magic users. Did one of them live and pass on their blood?
No, I would have heard of such a thing. Sure, a magic user is worse than an alchemist, but they still can cause trouble in the future. I hope what Cinder was describing was false.
"My army! Go fourth to Beacon and kill all that you see!" I will send them to where that Maiden was going. If the Alchemist is there, then I will try to see him use his power.
If he is there, I will make sure he dies soon.
Another Chapter done.
This one was shorter, but still meaningful. This will raise the stakes of the story.
