"We're here." I said, putting Haraguchi down on her own two feet as we reached her place. Opening the door, she turned the light on and was shocked to see that it was ransacked.

"I guess... someone already beat us here." She said, with me nodding as it was obvious.

"You should grab what you can and get changed. I think its safe, but if anything happens, I'm right next door." I said, turning to walk over to my room, but stopped once she started crying.

"It doesn't feel real, but it is, isn't it?" She said, with me knowing what she meant. "Lucas was a contractor... and he's dead." She said, where I started leaving as this wasn't my field of expertise anymore. "Wait!" She yelled, turning around and grabbing me by the arm. "Don't go, please!" She said, trembling even more.

"Ok." I said with a nod. "Grab what you need, you can stay with me." I said, with her nodding her head, tear sliding down her face.

Later

Placing an almost empty bottle of water on the counter, I looked over at Haraguchi as she laid down. "Leave the light off." She said, with me nodding as I was ok with that. Walking over to the wall farthest from her, I laid down. "Its so strange, Its like I'm home but not at the same time." She said, as I've had that feeling once before, when I was with the Brotherhood after Lance joined. "You're room is an exact copy of mine, but in reverse, just like a reflection." She said, as that wasn't true. She had stuff, I didn't. "You know, I've only been living here for two weeks now... but already its hard to imagine that I've lived anywhere else." She said as I felt the same way about the institute. "Its like for the first time, I've felt alive. I mean, here I am, me, working in a place called club pinky... and I can honestly say I've never felt happier. When I think back to the person I was and the person I am now... its harder to tell which is the real me. I figured none of that would matter though because Lucas was going to take me away... We would get to start over... But he's not coming back... is he?" She questioned, and I knew he wasn't as I was the one who killed him.

"Do you know what you're going to do now?" I asked, looking over at her as she started laughing.

"Haven't you been listening? Lucas was the one with the plan, not me." She said, rolling her eyes.

"We will figure something out." I said, shocking her. "We could run away together." I said as I sat up, with her sitting up soon after.

"No, that's crazy. You just moved in here today!" She said, with me nodding.

"I know, but, some how, this feels like this was supposed to happen." I lied as it was all planed, even this. "I think it was fate that we met today, I mean if you believe in that sort of thing." I said, giving her a small smile.

"Listen to what you're saying." She said as she moved closer to me. "What you need to do is forget about today, and forget that you ever met me." She said, looking down a the floor with a saddened expression.

"They've seen my face, so they will come looking for me eventually." I said, shocking her at that bit of information.

"Can I... Really trust you?" She questioned, not sure what to say. That was when we started hearing footsteps, with us looking at the door.

"You can." I said, standing up and moving over to the window and opening it. "Come on!" I said, holding my hand out to her, with her taking it and jumping out the window with me.

Later

"I know this guy who runs an import business in Micow, he's got a lot of connections. He can set us up with some passports." I said, with her nodding as we now sat in a dinner.

"Passports? You're talking about smuggling ourselves out of the count-"

"Shh!" I interrupted as she raised her voice a little too high.

"How do you know all of this, I thought you were just a student?" She questioned, crossing her arms while leaning forward.

"I know him from my Aunt, she's in the military." I said, with her nodding at that. "If we're going to do this, we're going to need a lot of money." I said, with her looking down at the table.

"Money, huh?" She questioned, thinking about it. "We have a problem there, I just have what in my purse, that's it." She said, with me nodding as I understood where she was getting at.

"Then maybe there's something else, something we could trade?" I hinted at, with her still thinking about it.

"How about information?" She questioned, looking back at me, with me raising an eyebrow at her question.

"What do you mean?" I asked, not sure what she was getting at.

"I mean, what if I can get my hands on some Hell's Gate files, high level stuff, top secret." She said, shocking me that she had files on Hells Gate.

"Can you? That might be enough." I said, rubbing my chin in thought. "I hear that some people would a pay good amount for any information on the gate, even if its trivial." I informed, with her smiling a bit.

"I'm talking EM plus technology and Creation." She said, with me nodding as that was something.

"Then that sounds perfect, if anything, its more then enough!" I said, smiling at her as we were getting somewhere. From my guess, EM plus Technology was something new and Creation could mean that Hells gate was made and wasn't the same as Havens gate. "We just might get out of this yet!" I said, relaxing a bit.

"I think its time I told you my name, my real name." She said, surprising me that her name wasn't Haraguchi. "I'm Chiaki, Chiaki Hanada." She said, with me seeing how she made up her name.

"Chiaki, I like that name. I'm glad I've earned your trust, any other secrets you need to spring on me?" I questioned, making her smile a bit.

"No, no more secrets." She said as our cups were refilled.

Seeing her eyes go blank, I raised an eyebrow at that as they gained life back in them the next second. "Everything ok?" I asked, with her nodding and rubbing her head.

"I'm fine, just a little worn out." She said, with me nodding as I could understand that. "I will be right back, alright? You go ahead and finish your drink." She said as she got up and went to the restroom.

"I've got to hand it to you, they said that you were good, but this is something else." Argo said from the seat behind me, with me looking over at her without turning to her. "You make it look so easy, like you were made for this kind of work." She said, with me taking a drink. "You don't care about anything anymore, you're just working for the money. No family, No home, Nothing. A true Black Reaper of the night." She said, with me placing the cup down.

"Careful with what you say, you just might be the next target." I warned, not liking what she was saying.

"Right, I'm just here to tell you to get a move on and gather the stuff." She said as she got up. They are making their move. "My advice, take care of the girl before she becomes a problem." She said, walking out of the building.

Looking out the window, I saw a man in a suit and another one in a tank top walking towards us, with me remembering them as the ones who wanted her. The first man was White, wearing a tan suit and a dark green tie. The second one was African American with a light green tank top and black jeans with a scar on his nose.

Downing my drink, I got up and made my way to the restroom. Reaching the restroom as Chiaki stepped out, I pushed her into the kitchen just as the two entered the building, and I knew we were seen. Once we entered the kitchen, two cooks looked at us as we ran towards the back door. "Wow, you cant come back here!" One of them called out, but got down once we were shot at.

Grabbing some flower, I tossed it over at them, with the flower spreading all over the place as it was opened. Reaching the door, I pushed it open and dragged Chiaki out just as all of the glass in the room exploded into shards, flying in every direction at bullet speeds. Closing the door, I looked at my arm and saw that I was cut, with me ignoring it and making a run for it with Chiaki leading the way.

Later

"How's your arm?" She questioned as I stitched my arm up.

"I'm fine." I said as she took the sleeve that I had and ripped it up, where she then started to wrap it around my wound.

"I'm sorry, this is all my fault." She said, with sighing as she was right. "It doesn't matter what we do, does it?" She questioned, with me taking the sleeve from her and tying it as she almost touched my skin. "They wont let us escape." She said, looking down with a frown.

"Listen, you're tired, you're as pale as a ghost." I said as I reached up to her cheek and took it in my own, with her looking me in the eyes, her own widening at my action. "You should get some sleep." I said, putting her under an illusion, with her nodding her head.

"I am tired." She said, with her head falling onto my lap. "Tired of running... tired of being afraid. Its always the same thing... over and over." She said, sounding more tired by the second. "Just when I feel safe, they show up again. Maybe... I draw them to me... somehow. I want this to end." She said, with me agreeing with her as this mission was getting annoying.

"No contractors or dolls, you just want to walk down the street once more." I said, with her nodding.

"When my parents died, I was dragged into an experiment group run by a secret government that I still don't know the name of. We were split into two groups. Dolls and Contractors. Contractors were turned into weapons, Dolls were turned into intelligence gathering troops. Able to blend in without detection, able to be controlled by Contractors. A girl with pink hair and red skin saved some of us, I was being experimented on when this happened. I don't know if they finished or not, but with everything, I can say that they didn't." She said, with me wondering who this girl was who put an end to the program.

"This girl, who was she?" I questioned, making her sigh.

"I never knew the others names, we were all given numbers there and were told that was our names from that point on. I was number eighty one, as for the girl, she was known as Zero Two." She said, with me knowing there was more to the story than this as I knew who Zero Two was.

"If you could have your memories erased, would you?" I asked, looking down at her, with me seeing that she was passed out.

The next day

"This is it?" I asked, with her nodding as she opened the locker and pulled out a book.

"This has all of the information on the Hells Gate when I was working there." She said, with me nodding, where I saw the same three from before walking down the stairs.

"We've got to go, they are here!" I said, with us speed walking away.

"How did they find us here?" She questioned, looking over her shoulder. Once we rounded the corner, we ran for the exit. Once outside, we started walking again, but I could feel their eyes on us as they had followed us. Seeing the police up ahead, I looked at her as I had a plan.

Walking past the police, I swung my arm up and hit her just below the Adam's apple, or where her's would of been if she had one. Hitting this pressure point knocked her out cold, with me still walking. This gained the polices attention and they rushed over to check up on her. Seeing the three ignoring her, they made their way towards me.

As I walked around the corner, I started running, where I saw Argo further up ahead. Taking my coat and mask from her and giving her the book, I quickly put them on and continued on past her. Making my way under a bridge, I stopped once Argo spoke into the ear piece. "The book is blank, we've been made!" She said, with me gritting my teeth as this was a bust.

"We've been looking for you." I heard, with me placing the mask on and looking over at the three. "You're the one who killed Lucas, The Black Reaper." He said, with me looking in front of me and seeing Chiaki looking at us with a shocked expression.

"Was it really you?" She questioned, a hurt expression on her face as she looked at me. "Are you the one who killed him?" She asked, with me nodding.

"And now the Rat falls into our trap." The leader said, with me seeing the dead look in her eyes, with me jumping in front of her just as one of them pulled out a gun, with me getting shot by Chiaki in my back. Hitting the ground, I laid on my front as my back was in pain. "This lovely thing isn't actually Chiaki, this is a Doll that was implanted with Chiaki's memories, she didn't even know her self." He said, with me gritting my teeth at this. "Now that I've used the key phrase, the Chiaki you knew is no longer there." He said, with me looking at her, seeing the dead look still in her eyes. "Besides, she drew out our target and drew you right to us!" He said as the one with a gun walked over to me and started shooting me in the back over and over again until he ran out of bullets.

"I'm surprised that Lucas got him self killed over this guy, he didn't put up much of a fight." He said, turning around to look at the others.

"He will, and when he does you're all as good as dead." I heard Yoruichi, with me standing up. "Word of advice, The Black Reaper doesn't just wear that coat as a fashion statement." She said, with me seeing everyone looking at her. "Its bullet proof." She said, running off just as the man turned around, with me grabbing him by the face and absorbing his life force until he died.

"AXEL!" The Leader yelled in shock, not expecting the sudden kill. Looking over the body, I saw the other ones eyes turn red, with me jumping away just the body of Axel blew up. Not giving him the time of day, I held my hand out and started draining him, with him screaming as he aged rapidly.

Looking at the Leader, I saw his hand on the wall and his eyes were red, with me remembering that he can replace things that he touches with what he sees. Jumping back, I was shocked to see Chiaki jump in the way, with me catching her body as a large hole appeared in her chest. Seeing him turn to water, I looked down at her, with me seeing tears in her eyes before they closed.

"We fell for a Doll, they killed the real Chiaki when they took her yesterday." Argo said as she walked over to me and looked down at the body as I stood up. "Another team already claimed the real files, they left a fake in its place. You should of killed her when I told you to." She said, with me nodding as she was right.

"Zero, have you located him?" I questioned as I placed a hand on my ear.

"Yes, he's not far!" She said, with me taking off.

Later

Watching as the Leader pulled his self out of the water, he pulled out some pebbles and started lining them up. Jumping off the bridge, I landed just behind him, shocking him as I grabbed him by the back of the head. He drowned Chiaki. Walking over to the water and placing his head into the water, watching as he started struggling. Taking out my knife, I pulled him up and watched as he gasped for air, where I slit his throat. Dropping him, I kicked him into the water, with me putting my blade away. "Targets eliminated." I said, turning around and leaving him there.

Later that day

Hearing a knock at my door, I looked at it and placed the knife down. Walking over to it, I opened it, shocking me at who it was. "Detective." I groaned out, with her staring at me with a blank expression.

"I see that you're no longer insane." She said with a tone that said she didn't care.

"I see you still don't have a heart." I said, with her narrowing her eyes.

"Right, what can you tell us about your neighbor?" She questioned, crossing her arms, with me taking notice to the man behind her.

"I've only lived here for what, three days? I got nothing." I said, with her nodding.

"Fine, I know I'm not going to get anything out of you." She said, walking away. "But we got our eyes on you!" She called out, with me shrugging and closing the door and getting back to cooking.
