Monsters of Heaven

Chapter 3:Unknown

The scene before him looked like it was picked out of a monster film. Pillars of dark smoke billowed into the air from the buildings that were destroyed in that horrible giant of an abomination's wake. All twelve arms were long, gnarly and ended in sharp claws. The hideous monsters attempts to get rid of those so-called heroes flying around her, dodging her every strike, only adding her frustration with each miss. She roared high into the sky and continued her assault, even more frenzied than before.

"Izuku!"

Aah, he loved every part of this. The fear, the despair, the terror of the pathetic humans. How long has it been since he'd visited the human world? The last time he'd seen it, no humans possessed such peculiar ability. Breathing fireballs and pissing chitinous hides like Brother Beel. Of course back then humans still uses horses and carriages so maybe his memories aren't the best frame of reference.

Whatever the case, their task is still the same as ever.

Ooh, the fear and terror. It sent shivers down his spine just thinking about it.

"Man, that is one big monster." A young man commented idly. Leviathans' head spun a solid 180 degree, bones cracking as he did so. The wizened man's eyes widened moreso at the sight of one of the Chosen.

Standing on the other end of the roof were a duo; a tall woman dressed in a traditional clothing often worn by the women of this country. Purple kimono with light blue swirls all over it and a black obi. Her light blue hair was held in a bundle with exotic hair pins. Her eyes were closed. Standing beside him was a man of small stature, reaching up only to the angels' knees.

In turn, the man has a rather weird hairtsyle; dark purple hair that looked like they were made from fusing several clumps of balls. He looked like he had been through the gutter; sunken eyes and thin to the bones of his clothing were anything to go they looked like they are about to slip down at any given notice.

"The Chosen of Gabriel." Leviathan said, waving to him with a smile."What brings you to this part of the world?"

He looked unamused, spitting to the side. "I don't know, maybe it got something to do with an ugly fuck like yourself?"

Leviathans' smile widened until the cheeks started to bleed, the skin and flesh unable to withstand the strain of such of crimson red blood, it was black ichor. The texture looked like someone had used the darkness of the night and turn it into the form of liquid.

"Hilarious, I guess Heaven must have been really desperate if they were to rely on someone like you. A disgusting little-"

"Fuck you!" The man roared, rushing forward with a murderous look on the face. In an instant, the woman who was beside him dissolved into light and leapt into the dwarf. Leviathan laughed as his body glowed a bright green, engulfing the entire building.

"What was that?"

Uravity or Uraraka Ochako, asked, startled by what she'd heard. Her head quickly turned around and there were nothing out of the ordinary. Same old rubbles, destroyed buildings and cars. Sure, the place looked like Godzilla had bulldozed through here but this horrible scene couldn't beat the one she'd witnessed during the war against the Paranormal Liberation Front.

"Ur-uravity-san." The child held in her hand and close to her bosom, no older than 5 groaned. Dried red blood covered half his face and matted the child's brown hair. A single teary-eyed looked up to her, fluttering as he tried to stay awake.

"Can you take m-mommy with us?"He asked. Ochako took a quick glance at the boy's mother and fought the urge to vomit at the sight. The boys mother or rather what's left, had her entire lower half crushed by a falling debris. The brunette's single eye were glazed over, a clear sign that she'd passed away. The child in her hand must have inherited her Quirk given the singular eye in the middle.

"Y-your mom's asleep." She told him, a terrible lie she knew, but there's nothing she can do. The only reason why she managed to save him was because she had heard him crying out for help.

"Hey, Uravity!" She tilted her head up, a smile appearing as she saw her old schoolmate from U.A and fellow hero, leaping down onto the ground, a long white line attached to one of the buildings. The man, unlike her, was garbed in his hero suit.

"Hey, Ha-" She caught herself. Hero name while at work."Cellophane."

"Me and the other heroes had checked this place out earlier. There's no survivor here." The entire helmet may covered his face and the lenses are dark but Ochako could tell he was saddened when the man saw the dead corpse beside her.

"Oh dear, looks like we missed one." He muttered.

"Yeah."She agreed sadly.

"Well, just give me that boy. I'll take him to safety. The other heroes are in Sector B, rendezvous with them and coordinate with them alright. Take Grendel and Flare. They're up on that building". He gestured to one of the unharmed building. The way he said makes it sound more like an order but nonetheless she complied."Alright meet cha there."

Once she had given the child to him, he immediately aimed one of the elbows and flew into the sky, the tapes having latched onto to one of the nearby buildings. At least the ones that doesn't look it will fall apart at any notice. Ochako watched the man swing away using those tapes like the old American comic book hero.

She shook her head, best to focus on the task. The superheroine lean down beside the deceased literal one-eyed woman. Hand moved towards the eyes and closed down and offered a silent prayer to the total stranger.

"Sorry, I couldn't save you." She whispered. Only for the woman to reach out with a single hand. Years of training kicking in, Ochako immediately stepped back and managed to miss the woman's hand by a hair's breadth.

"W-what the-" Ochako wondered. The woman, the very same dead woman, is now alive. Her pale white eyes had turned a blood red and deathly pale skin were covered with dark shadowy veins.

"Rragh!" The woman roared out like some kind of feral beast. Clawed hands swiping at the air in front of her pointlessly in rapid succession. What the heck happened to her? Ochako was certain the poor man was dead a moment ago. Is this the work of a Quirk? There aren't any Quirk capable of raising the dead though there are some capable of creating hallucinogenics gas.

Maybe if she-

"Aah!" A girl fired out in terror, snapping the woman out of her thoughts.

Sounds of windows breaking drew her attention and her head snapped towards the source. Uravity saw one of Cellophane's intern, a young teen with big beefy arms and covered in green scales. She recalled his name was Kouta or something and Cellophane had bragged how skilled the young teen was. Now said poor teen was hanging onto a ledge for dear life. She knew the boy has quite the strong body but even those have limits and falling from a ten floor building is one of them. Through the window, she saw one of Hanta's sidekick, a young woman by the name of Ibuki or Flare fending off against an old man. Or rather the headless body of an old man clawing at her. Just like the earlier deceased woman, the stump of his neck was exuding black mist.

Ochako leapt into action, running towards one of the relatively-speaking undamaged cars. A gentle tap and a will of thought, the car began to float, an effect of her Quirk. Grabbing hold of the car and turned it towards the place where the teen may fall, she raised her leg up and kicked it. No longer bound by the laws of physics, the device floated upwards as it make way to the teen hanging on for dear life.

The lizard teen saw it and dropped down onto the floating car. Despite the additional weight, the car shook only slightly and kept going up at a steady pace. Ochako watched as the boy reached out for his friend. Luckily the boy had the mind to punch the deceased corpse hard in order to get the dead man off of the poor girl.

"I'm gonna take you down now alright." She yelled. Moments before she could do that, the ground begun to shook. Earthquakes? No that's impossible. Not around this time of year at least.

The shaking grew stronger and she turned just in the nick of time to see something rushing towards them from a distance. Large could of dust followed seemingly in it's wake. The ground shook greatly as that something leapt into the sky.

In a span of several seconds ,it had kept up into the sky, grabbed the two teens and landed onto the ground, sliding across it. With a look she could already who he actually was. After all, he has been the most trending news in Japan for the past several weeks. Also, all Pro heroes are ordered to apprehend at first sight.

"Are you two alright?" The vigilante in that deep booming voice of his, putting the duo down.

"Y-yeah, thanks." The lizard teen stated, somewhat surprised by his appearance. The girl muttered a thank you as well, although hers is far more subdued and meek. He straightened up and Uravity was surprised to see how tall he was. The man is even taller than the late Symbol of Peace. And more buffed as well, surpassing any of the male heroes in terms of musculature.

"Excuse me, Uravity-san, can you take these two out of here? I need to handle these Revenants." He stated.

"Revenants?" If it was any other case, she would've arrested him per the rules. But sadly, her powers aren't meant for combat and the pro hero doubt her hand-to-hand combat training can do anything against a monster such as him, if the records were anything to go by at least. Also, while she was taken aback by his appearance, more and more of the deceased had come crawling out of the rubbles. All of them had suffered fatal injuries like crushed heads, crushed lower bodies other injuries. All of them were groaning weakly and exuding black mist.

"I assume they are Revenants." She stated, settling into a stance. Ochako estimated there are roughly thirty of them and more are pouring out.The other two sidekicks also began to settle into their respective stance at the sight of those horrendous monsters.

"Yeah," he spoke, voice akin to thunder."Undead who grew resentful and comes back to life for revenge. They only come out when there's a negative energy source to draw from. The U.M.A as you people called it serves to be a battery."

"Lovely." Ochako commented dryly, eyeing warily the growing undead. Apparently they got supernatural bullshit as well."So, got any ideas?"

"Run for your life. I'm the only one capable enough to take any of them. You're just gonna get in my way."

What he said was a sting not to just Ochako but to the other two. They were literally trained for this and this complete stranger. What gave him the right to say that?!

"W-we can fight too." The girl, Flare squealed out. The triceratops head leaned to the side as if deep in thought. The big saurian surprised, seeing how her fist and legs has ignited into orange flames.

The giant looked distraught and Ochako noticed how he looked he's talking to someone else. No, must be her overthinking it.

"No," she stated, much to her surprise she actually agreed with what he said. "Cellophane tasked me to bring you two back to safety. I'm bringing you two with me."

Her statement was met with protest and she grew irk at how they are acting. Is this what it feels like to be young? Damn, at least she knows how her former teachers felt like. Gotta cost her later.

"Listen to Uravity. Please don't argue with me. At least follow her order." He huffed. The root-like tattoos all over his body began to glow a bright yellow. The same went for his eyes. Both sidekick shared a look, a silent conversation between one of them and the flame girl looked like she won.

The Revenant roared and charged forward as one.

Kouta or Grendel, the lizard teen, growled like the animal his Quirk caused him to be, and lunged to meet one of the monsters. Moments before they clashed, multiple tendrils of earth and concrete reached up and restrained the undead. Every last one were restrained and tried to budge out of their restraints only to no avail.

"Move now!" She yelled at the two. The two didn't argued and immediately make a break for it. Ochako stopped momentarily and stared at the giant.

"What are you?"

He met her eyes and shrugged helplessly."Someone who wants to save lives. And tell all of your heroes friend to clear out of the way. There's gonna be serious damage soon."

"What do you mean?"

"Just go!"

The woman didn't know what to make of him yet. As she ran, Ochako couldn't help but think how the man might be a good person.

Izuku or Demigod in his current form watched as the woman disappeared from sight. Although the woman and the other two younger heroes had disappeared from his sight, he can still sense their footsteps touching the earth. One of the many powers, Terrakinesis, allowed him to do anything with the earth beneath them. A power that would make those with Earth-based Quirks drool with envy. The level of can control he has over the earth is like a god. He would've continue to revel in it if it weren't for their current predicament.

Are you alright?

Izuku snorted at the woman's question.

Alright? My mother has turned into a horrendous monster. How do you think I feel?

She remained quiet shortly after that. Good, he snorted. Don't need sass from the angel.

We can still save her, If we act quickly that is.

He didn't responded and turned his gaze towards the Revenant. No one's rest should be disturbed, especially the dead. Bad enough they suffered such a brutal death but they are converted into raving, undeads? No, this is an insult. A desecration.

He raised a hand up and closed it into a fist. At once, the grey tendrils tightened around all of the undead and crushed all of them in an instant. Black ichor spilling out of them like crushed prunes, pouring out through the small gaps of the restraint. The sounds of their bones crushed and flesh meshed together into a literal bloody mess. This is something he truly despised. But it's the only way for them.

The tendrils receded back into the ground and he physically recoiled at the bloody mess he'd make. How horrible. The way their bones and flesh were crushed together. The sharp and broken fragments of their bones poking out of the red meaty mess. Despite that, there was a glimmer of hope. Every last one of the undead he'd crushed, a small white orb floated out of it. Their soul or so Terra had told him.

The transformed man silently watched as their souls slowly floated upward into the sky. The blonde angel had told him how all souls that perished would go to the judges above the Heavens for their worth. The places they shall go varied based on whatever religion they believed in. Depending on the amount of bad deeds and good deeds committed in life, they will either be assigned to Heaven or Hell.

"Mother." He muttered, looking at the giant monster in the distant. Multiple little tiny dots could be seen flying around her, heroes no doubt, trying to stall her until back up arrives. Mount Lady wouldn't be able to make it here since she's in another city. If she did try to come here via her Quirk, it would prove too difficult given how many collateral damages would've done in her wake. Besides, this need to end now before more come back to life.

"I'll save you." He then ran. The world around him began to blur as he ran. The air atomized and burnt around him as he ran. The man could feel the heat surrounding his body. This much power. All of it. The speed, the strength, all of it, if he can't use it to save a family member he can't call himself a hero; much less a hero!

As he leapt high into the sky, Demigod willed a stone pillar to jut out of the ground in a diagonal direction, giving the extra boost as he jumped. The giant triceratop monster sailed through the air, arm reared back and hand clenched into a fist. Hopefully Uravity work fast and no heroes would be caught in the crossfire. He would've waited for a little while longer but his mother takes precedence first. The tattoo along the arm glowed to life and hummed with energy as it expands like balloon. A large portion of the energy within him flowed into the right arm, growing in size.

"ALL MIGHT!"

He cried out at the top of his lungs as he rammed the fist straight into the octopus' chest. A technique he'd named after the late Symbol of Peace. The fist connected and everything after that exploded into bright light.

He'd watched the giant octopus multi-armed woman expand in size. Glowing white cracks began to spread across her entire body, a stake contrast against the colour of her body. The eyes and mouth glowed a bright white as she unleashed a defiant roar. The man raised a hand up to cover his sight as the monster exploded into a bright light. He aimed all four hands down and fired as many sticky balls as he possibly can onto his own feet.

"Hahaha!" The Chosen of Gabriel laughed maniacally as the sheer force behind the explosions shockwave blew him. He was almost certain he would've been blown away.

"Not bad, kiddo." He chuckled, rubbing the chin thoughtfully. Maybe he will be one step closer to his goal just yet. A smile brightening his face. When he was told by Aqua to come back to this country, he'd wondered why. Turns out his fellow comrades is in home country! Whelp, at least this will makes his job much easier

"Time to find you, O' my fellow Monster of Heaven."
