Chapter 2 Arthur's past

When the group of the hokage, Inoichi, Mordred and Arthur open their eyes they were in what looked to be a massive library as there were big bookshelves with tons of book stored in them for as far as they can see.

"Welcome to my mind this is where all of mine, my mother's and my father's knowledge and memories are stored, please be careful with what you open as it could bring up some bad memories for both myself and Mordred." Arthur said as he walked in front of the group but what caught the ninja's attention was what he was wearing.

He was wearing what looked like thickly plated armour on his body and legs it was blue, red, and gold in some places. It looked hard to move in however Arthur didn't seem to have a problem with the weight as it seemed like he had worn the armour most of his life, however what caught their attention was what looked to be a golden crown that seem to have been made from scales, this wasn't odd but what was strange is that it looked like it was growing out of his head.

"I see, we'll be careful and is there anything we need to see?" Inoichi asked.

"Well, I guess it would be best to show you the event that led me and Mordred into the current situation." Arthur said as he walked over to a bookshelf and pulled out a book and then walked over to the Hokage and Inoichi and opened the book showing them what happened.

Flashback

Arthur had woken up to the sound of an explosion outside his house. He jumped out of his bed and materialized his armour and projected a nameless sword. He then ran out of his house to see both his mother and farther down on one knee panting. Arthur's eyes widened as he ran to their side as fast as he could.

"Mother! Farther! Are you okay?! What's going on?!" Arthur asked.

The pair looked over to him with worry in their eyes however their eyes softened when they saw his panicked face. Their panting decreased somewhat as they focused on their son.

For the longest time both Artoria and Shirou thought of Arthur as a miracle the final piece to their family however for Artoria it was her chance at redemption for her past mistakes for what she did to Mordred even giving Arthur the middle name 'Mordred'. The two and their family friends were shocked when Artoria revealed that she was pregnant as servants weren't meant to be able to get pregnant, so they consider Arthur a miracle child.

But the good didn't come without the bad both Artoria and Shirou knew that if the mages in the clocktower found out what Arthur was then they would do anything to try and experiment on him so both Artoria and Shirou proceeded to train Arthur from a young age to be able to protect himself from them and their job was slightly easier as from a young age Arthur had been reliving his parents past in his dreams so they didn't need to worry about experience.

When they were teaching him, they were shocked to learn that Arthur could trace and project any sword from Artoria's legend and make a perfect copy as he had accidentally projected Caliburn at a young age. With that Artoria knew that Arthur would be next in line to her throne.

Now their son was standing next to them as an enemy servant that they were battling awhile ago just a few were meters away from them. So, they felt their protective instincts kick in.

"Arthur get behind us, someone has started a new holy grail war and a servant decided to attack us even though we weren't participating. They have already killed both Rin and Illyia and has come to us to attack us for a slight we committed against him. So can you stand behind us?" Artoria asked her son.

Arthur puffed up his chest and cheeks and made a face of displeasure to both his parents.

"But mother! I can fight too! Just like you and farther! I have both of your powers! I can…"

Artoria lightly slapped the back of his head before gently ruffling his hair.

"What did I teach you during your training with us".

Arthur rubbed his head lightly and responded dejectedly.

"To always listen to yours and father orders during a fight or training".

Artoria smiled and rubbed his head. Then Arthur spoke

"Fine, I will stay behind you and protect your back now let's go confront this intruder!"

With that said both Artoria and Shirou ran forward with Arthur behind them wearing his armour that his mother and farther made for him. It was like his mother's and Mordred's with Artoria's breastplate and with Mordred's leg Armor it was coloured both blue, silver and red, but instead of wearing a helmet he wears a red hood that has black strips going up the back of the hood to show that his farther was also apart of him as well.

As they rushed forward Arthur projected a copy of Mordred's sword Clarent in his hand this was one of his favourite swords as he thinks that his sister was fighting alongside him.

When the family took a few more steps forward they were barraged by all sorts of swords and spears that both Artoria and Shirou deflected with their swords. When the barrage finished, they were confronted by a man with blond hair wearing golden armour with ripples behind him that had more swords and spears in them.

"Why are you attacking us Gilgamesh we aren't part of the holy grail war" Artoria yelled at the man who only looked annoyed.

"I've come here to correct a mistake, there was should have been no way that faker should have beaten me the king of heroes, so I have come for a rematch" Gilgamesh said with a face full of anger.

Gilgamesh then started to shoot the swords and spears out of the ripples however they were cancelled out by Shirou's projected swords leaving an opening for Artoria to use mana burst to try and cut him however she was block when he took a sword out of the ripple.

"I am the bone of my sword" Shirou began his aria as Artoria prevented Gilgamesh from attacking him and Arthur was in front of his to protect him.

"Steel is my body and fire is my blood"

"I have created over a thousand blades".

"Unknown to death,"

"nor known to life."

"Have withstood pain to create many weapons".

"Yet, those hands will never hold anything".

"So, as I pray, Unlimited Blade Works."

When Shirou finished his aria there was a blinding light that covered everyone and once they opened their eyes, they were in a wasteland that was covered in swords that look like grave markers.

"I see so you're going to use your reality marble again" Gilgamesh said with annoyance.

"It is the only thing that I could think of that can fight against your gate of Babylon and the countless weapons that are stored in there." Shirou said as he made two swords float above him and shot at Gilgamesh who counted with his gate of Babylon.

"The only reason why you won last time was because I was reluctant to use my most prized treasure however, I won't make that mistake again" Gilgamesh said as he opened another gate and a strange looking key dropped out.

Gilgamesh then twisted the key and there was a bright red light when they could see there was red line condensing into a weird looking sword as it did not have a blade but had 3 cylinders and a gold looking crown on top.

When Artoria and Arthur saw the weapon, they felt their instincts kick in telling them to beware of the strange looking weapon, so they went and joined up with Shirou.

Gilgamesh then started to speak an aria.

"I will tell you of the beginning. Heaven and Earth split, nothingness congratulated creation, my Sword of Rupture cleaved the world!"

"Mortar of the stars, heaven's hell is the eve of creation's celebration. Now you shall die and be silent..."

As Gilgamesh was saying his aria the sword's cylinders started to spin generating a high amount of wind that was spiralling to the tip of the sword.

Artoria, Shirou and Arthur knew what was going to happen and took a stance pumping their mana into their weapons, with Artoria's sword glowing gold, Arthur's sword glowing red and Shirou summoned all the swords that he could.

"Enuma Elish!"

"Excalibur!"

"Clarent Blood Arthur!"

"Trace on"

Once Gilgamesh called out his attack a large beam was shot towards the family however it was stopped by the families attack as the red and gold beam combined together however the two attacks were being pushed back by Gilgamesh's attack.

Shirou took this moment and summoned all the swords he could and sent the to stop the attack however even this was a stop gap as the attack was also being pushed back and in a flashed the attack hit near the family.

Once the flashed died down they were back to the streets of Japan with the family breathing heavily and panting collapsed on the floor with blood and cuts on them, but Gilgamesh looked fine.

"Hahahaha you mongrels thought that you could stop my most powerful treasure with those puny attacks of yours, but I must congratulate you at being able to survive that attack" Gilgamesh said arrogantly.

Gilgamesh the summoned then his gate again and shoot 2 swords at the parents piercing them though the chest and making them cough up blood.

"Goodbye faker, king of knights" he said as he was about to leave but was stopped when he felt a dark presence slam down on him and when he turned around, he spotted Arthur however he looked different the silver parts of his armour were now black, the blue was now a dark purple and the bright red was now a blood red and was giving of a smoky appearance. Arthur's bright green eyes were now a harsh gold and his skin paled drastically. Everything about Arthur was telling Gilgamesh of concentrated killing intent. This angered Gilgamesh because his own instincts were demanding that he run away from the child.

"How dare you" Arthur said as ominous as the thunderclouds above

"You the king of hero are said to be the oldest and best king in history is nothing more than a sore loser that couldn't take the fact he lost to someone he considered weaker than him".

"For that you will face my judgement" Arthur finished and charged at the golden man and projected countless number of swords and shot them at Gilgamesh who was too tired to summon his gate of Babylon, so the swords pierced his arms and legs making him drop to the ground.

Arthur charged at Gilgamesh who was trying to get up but stopped when he felt Arthur grab his leg and started to toss him around. Arthur threw Gilgamesh through walls, stomped his head into the ground and kept doing it. Then a broken voice called out to Arthur.

"Arthur… please… don't… stop… this!"

Hearing his mothers voice Arthurs head snapped to his mother's prone form with blood coming from the stab wound and her mouth as her face was twisted in sadness. She held her hand out towards him. Arthur seeing that his mother wanted him dropped the golden bastard in a crater. He walked over to his mother and with every step he took, the more he changed back to his normal self. His armour was the first to change, then the dark and oppressing mana faded away the closer he got to his mother. Arthur then fell to his knees beside his mother's dying form. He was fully changed back now is golden eyes were a bright green and his skin gained colour.

He couldn't speak as tears fell from his eyes so Artoria spoke to him instead "Don't follow our mistakes my son… my miracle child. Be the Hero you want to be just like your farther and myself want you to be. I don't mind a little bit of a rebellious streak every now and again however please don't follow your sister's footsteps, but please don't fall into an alter state. It is the embodiment of wrath and a good man's wrath makes the worst demons run, instead be a honourable protector. Be the best of us Arthur Pendragon, Prince of Knights, and true heir to my throne.

With those final words to her son Artoria Pendragon the Once and Future King of Camelot, took her final breath. Arthur was wracked with despair until he heard Gilgamesh groan. Arthur stood up and turned to see Gilgamesh slowly crawling out of the crater he was in, Arthur sighed and walked over to him and looked over to the king of heroes.

Arthur took his mother's words to heart; he wasn't going to kill the king of heroes inhumanely nor draw it out despite the feeling in his chest demanding that he do so. He walked over to Gilgamesh quickly and full of purpose. He stopped when he reached to beaten king.

"Gilgamesh, your arrogance and desire for the world to worship and serve you again must be stopped before you conquer the world and so that is what I will do."

Arthur lifted Clarent above his head and swung downwards decapitating Gilgamesh as his head rolled away from his body before turning into golden particles.

End of Flashback

"And that is how this all started with a sore loser who couldn't take the fact that he lost to a person he considered irrelevant and a faker" Arthur said with a few tears in his eyes and walked back to the bookshelf and put the book back.

This shocked both the hokage and Inoichi that the child in front of them was able to stop someone as dangerous as that and that the child didn't kill the man for revenge but to stop the man from conquering the world for himself.

Mordred however didn't know how to feel she knew that Arthur was her brother, but she didn't know how his parents died nor that her father wished for redemption for the actions she did to her during her time as a knight it brought a tear to her eye.

Arthur then walked back to the group with another book in his hand.

"That was the beginning, and this will show the rest" Arthur said showing the book to the group.

Flashback

Arthur was standing next to a strange looking pattern on the floor that had a bunch of symbols in and surrounding it and with in the middle of the pattern was the silver sword Clarent. After checking the pattern and symbols Arthur said an incantation.

"Silver and iron to the origin. Gem and the archduke of contracts to the cornerstone."

"The ancestor is my great master Artoria Pendragon."

"The alighted crown becomes a wall. The gates in the four directions close, coming from the crown, the three-forked road that leads to the kingdom circulate."

"Shut (fill)."

"Shut (fill)."

"Shut (fill)."

"Shut (fill)."

"Shut (fill)."

"Repeat every five times."

"Simply, shatter once filled."

"Announce, your self is under me, my fate is in your sword."

"In accordance with the approach of the Holy Grail, if you abide by this feeling, this reason, then answer."

"Here is my oath. I am the one who becomes all the good of the world of the dead, I am the one who lays out all the evil of the world of the dead."

"You, seven heavens clad in three words of power, arrive from the ring of deterrence, O keeper of the balance".

Then there was a bright light that filled the room however when the light died down there was someone wearing a suit of metal armour standing in the pattern looking at Arthur slammed the tip of the sword into the ground. There was then a clank of metal and it showed Arthur that the helmet was retracting into the armour.

The person looks a lot like Arthur's mother Artoria.

"I am Mordred, the one and true heir to Arthur Pendragon" Mordred spoke making Arthur flinch.

"So, I ask of you. Are you, my master?" she spoke with a smirk on her face.

"Yes, Mordred I am your master" Arthur said showing a red-looking tattoo to Mordred.

Arthur really wasn't looking forward to summoning Mordred as he knew both her and his mother had a difficult past, but he really wanted to have some family back that is why he decided to summon her to help him fight in this holy grail war.

"My name is Arthur Pendragon, son of the Once and future king Artoria Pendragon and Shirou Emiya" Arthur continued to speak making Mordred look at him with anger and hate and lifted her sword and went to strike him but was block by the same sword as hers.

"I see, so Farther decided to replace me with you, hmmm" she spat making Arthur flinch, she then continued to attack more heavily but Arthur only dodged or parried her sword swipes.

"THAT WASN'T IT!" Arthur yelled catching her off guard.

"I wasn't meant to be born, I was what everyone in my family called a miracle as my mother was a heroic spirit and my farther was a normal person" Arthur continued making Mordred pause.

"I was happy, both she and my farther raised me to be the person I am now but just 2 hours ago we were attacked by Gilgamesh the king of heroes and they both were killed" Arthur cried out making Mordred look at him in shock.

"I killed him But I also had and another chance for family as there was another holy grail war going on so I decided to summon someone and I thought it would be best to summon you" Arthur continued making Mordred grit her teeth in anger.

"Why? do you could rub it in my face that you had her love, and I didn't" Mordred spat at him.

"What no!. I just wanted to meet my sister who I was named after" Arthur insisted making Mordred's eyes widen in shock.

"W-Wh-What?" Mordred stuttered in disbelief.

"My full name is Arthur Mordred Pendragon, I was named after you and even if you didn't believe me but my mother loved you a lot and it hurt not being able to show it however she did what she thought was best for the kingdom" Arthur said with a large smile.

"Farther loved me" Mordred whispered in disbelief.

"Of course, she did. there wasn't a moment where she didn't, she only told you that you didn't have the capacity to be a king, she never said she didn't love you" Arthur said the a loving smile making her smile.

"Your right she never said she hated me."

"Now then get ready because big sis is going to help you win the holy grail" she declared with a large smirk making Arthur smile.

With that the two of them then confronted each of the servants in the holy grail war and with hard fought battles from Tamamo-no-mae as a caster, Lancelot as a berserker, Minamoto no Raikō as a lancer, Sasaki Kojirō as assassin and Francis Drake as rider the duo of brother and sister over came the challenges and beat their opponents and the two summoned the holy grail.

When the duo went to the grail the noticed the corrupted presence that it was giving off and knew that if they wished for something it would happen in the most destructive way so with a heavy heart the two walked away from the Grail

Both brother and sister raised their swords to the air one silver red and the other blue and gold the two pushed their mana into their swords as the silver sword came to life with red lighting and the other sword had a golden energy coming out.

The duo took their stances and called out their attacks.

"Clarent Blood Arthur!"

"Ex-calibur!"

When the two attacks hit the grail there was a massive explosion that hit the duo knocking the two of them out.

End of Flashback

Inoichi cancelled out the Jutsu as they had seen what they wanted to see and was in shock that the siblings in front of them were telling the truth that they didn't come from this world.

"I then woke up a little ways from here in the forest and started to look around, I was then found by those cloud ninja's who tried to kidnap me to take back to their village however I attacked them first and killed 8 of them, however 3 of them were pierced in non-vital areas and passed out. Then last two manged to dodge my attack however one of the last two charged at me to kill me but I killed him however before I could kill the last one I collapsed from fatigue then Mordred appeared and killed the last one" Arthur finished the story making the hokage look at the boy.

'So, this boy was able to take out 11 highly trained cloud ninja's while he was tired and injured. Not only that he is able to use a different source of energy than us and has different techniques that can make any sort of bladed weapon and has those other deadly weapons that only he can use.' To be honest Hiruzen was quite interested in the siblings as he knew that they were honest and honourable people and was contemplating asking them to stay in the village.

"I have to asked would you like to have a place in this village?" Hiruzen asked the siblings and the two looked at each other as if talking through eye movement.

"We would be happy to lord hokage. We maybe of royal blood, but I will defend your home… this home… our new home with both our sword and powers. This we swear on our honour as a Pendragon." The siblings said at the same time with a bow of gratitude to the old man.

"Very well then tomorrow morning we will put you into the ninja academy with a special notice about your different energy. you also can have one of the empty apartments within the village." Hiruzen says as he walked behind his desk and pulled out a key and threw it at Arthur who caught it in his hand. With that done the siblings and Inoichi left the office

A while later Inoichi was showing the siblings around the village and then to their apartment when they went in, Inoichi left them and went home leaving the two siblings to walk over to the only bed in the room and collapsed and fell asleep together.
