Last Time
With that one of the guardian 12 shinobi showed them out and they went looking for a store. She noticed a shinobi store and they both walked in. Naruto was trying out some outfits and none of them looked quite right until he walked out with jet black Ninja pants, while wearing a mix of red and black flak jacket. To top it all off he had a a red cape with black flames on the bottom. (Sage mode Naruto's cape.)
Now it was Kurenai's turn and while she didn't buy an outfit she did find a special red ring that one can store up chakra and when is low on chakra they can take back the rings Chakra or she could use the ring to fire off a fire jutsu just by pointing the ring at her opponent and she commands it. With that both of them headed back to Konoha.
Now
We find Naruto and Kurenai entering Konoha. After Kurenai signed in with the guards, they headed towards the Hokage tower to not only give them their report. But to also give Hiruzen the scrolls that the Fire Daimyo had sent to basically give Naruto his inheritance and a scroll that forces the Demon Tax to be lifted and for Naruto to be paid double the amount he was charged. When Hiruzen read the scrolls he smiled he didn't mind giving the blonde his inheritance just he hadn't reached the age nor the rank but thanks to the fire daimyo he could now give Naruto his inheritance.
As Hiruzen was about to give Naruto his inheritance a messenger hawk had flown in and as he read it his eyes widened like saucers and his pipe even fell to his desk.
"Naruto, Kurenai I now that you two had just gotten back from your mission but I was wondering if you'd like to go on an A-Rank mission?" Don't worry Naruto if you two accept I'll make sure that the Dayimo's order is carried out and you will receive your inheritance Naruto I'll make sure of it."
"Kurenai-Sensei can we take the mission please?!"
Kurenai looked at her student and she figured that while it could be dangerous she knew that she could handle it, as for Naruto he had Shadow clones and the Fear Mist plus his Uzumaki chains and finally he had the Kyuubi. Besides it would be a good field experience plus depending on how well he does over the next few months he could receive a field promotion.
"Alright Hokage-Sama we accept."
"Alright now before your mission starts I need to give a little backstory. You see when the leaf was just founded a country known as Yume no kuni. (Land of Dreams) This country was around twice the size of fire country.
The reason why no one tried to take over this land is because they couldn't. You see legend has it that a seal was made over the country during the time of the sage of sixth paths which made it so that the country itself became like a lucid dream to the ruler.
But this land had disappeared when the first Hokage and Madara Uchiha had their great battle. But it appears now? So your mission is to go to Yume no kuni and find out everything you can about it."
As soon as they got the scroll they both headed out towards Yume no kuni and they were making good progress. Then they stopped as they saw Team 7 walking back towards Konoha.
"So Dobe what lame mission are you going on."
"I can't tell you hokage's orders."
"Yea right Naruto-Baka you tell Sasuke-Kun right now or" but she was interrupted
"Sakura stop talking or be sent back to the academy your choice?" Said that of one Kakashi Hatake.
"I agree with Kakashi-Senpai Ugly"
While Sakura tried to kill Sai, Naruto and Kurenai had left Team 7 to get back on their mission. Soon they arrived at the border from fire country to Yume no kuni. "Alright Naruto-Kun were going to enter and whatever happens I want you to be careful."
"Hai Kurenai-Sensei."
So with that both Naruto and Kurenai crossed the border.
When they both crossed the border
Dream world Kurenai
We find Kurenai looking around wondering where her student was? I mean after all she could see was pure white. Then it started to shift to a white castle. She knew that this had to be genjutsu so she made the sign for Kai and when she did nothing happened what the hell! Why wasn't it working!
"Kurenai this isn't a genjutsu it's a dream."
"Show yourself!"
"Why would I do that? Besides if I revealed myself you'd try to attack me."
Silence
"Tell me Kurenai what's your dream?"
Silent
"Well don't worry Kurenai-san you'll experience it anyway"
The dream then shifted to the leaf where her rank in the bingo-book was updated to a triple SSS-Rank. She was smiling that she did it finally she was recognised as one of the strongest kunoichi in the world! While the Kurenai in the dream was celebrating the realization that she was in a dream but even so if she enjoyed it , then the dream ended.
"See it wasn't so bad was it?"
Kurenai frowned; she had to admit that this spirit or however this being was she did enjoy it. Even so she had to find a way to get out of here! But easier said than done after all she didn't even know where to begin she could only hope that Naruto is doing better than she was while they was thinking of a way to escape.
With Naruto
If he was being honest with himself he wouldn't ever have imagined that he'd be having tea with the queen of this land. She had blue hair that reminded him of the sea. Her eyes are warm like the sun. She wore an elegant white dress that reminded him of the one time when it snowed in the leaf a few years ago. Her name was Haru which meant spring. She seemed very nice to him. In his opinion allowing people to live their dreams was a good thing. I mean as long as it's someone as nice as her then he doesn't mind. After all she promised that after their conversation she'd let them leave. She even offered to make an alliance with Konoha!
"Naruto-Kun while you're here I have the ability to allow those who come here to live their dreams. Would you like to try it?"
"Sure but can it be the one were I kill my mother?"
"Alright"
Naruto appeared on a grassy field where his mother Kushina was running for her life! But she wasn't going to escape from him and an Uzumaki chain grabbed her by the leg. When the chain pulled her in he had Murasame and he ran at her and it cut her but it was enough as she then fell down dead. Then his surroundings reappeared to that of him and Haru having Tea.
"So did you enjoy your dream?"
"Yes I did Haru thanks"
Naruto gave her a hug and you could see her face turning a little red.
"Are you alright Haru? Do you have a fever?"
"No I'm fine. Anyway I'm glad that you liked it. So do you wish to live out any more of your dreams?"
"Well not really I mean when I stepped here I lived my dream as the hokage and it was awesome the only real bad part was that there wasn't as much fighting as I thought it'd be."
"Well Naruto-Kun let me tell you this. If you want to become the Hokage just in the hopes of fighting stronger people than you shouldn't bother trying to become the Hokage at all. My mother, the first queen of this land, once told me that if you can't find a reason to fight, then you shouldn't be fighting. I want you to remember that Naruto as there will come a time when you're fighting and you don't even know why that's when you know that's time to stop."
"Your mother was a wise person thanks for the advice Haru-San."
"Your Welcome so here is the scroll that will make Yume no kuni alliance with Konoha."
"Thanks Haru-San can you let me and Kurenai-Sensei go now?"
"Very well Naruto-Kun but one last thing before you go. I can tell that you're a new shinobi and you probably think your hot stuff and while you might be strong among gennin compared to the rest of the world you're weak. Don't get overconfident and don't get too aragonant or else you'll die five times fast before you hit the ground. "
"Yet another piece of good advice Haru-San thanks again for not killing me or Kurenai-Sensei."
"Your welcome by the way when you fall asleep you can come visit me if you like after all this is the land of dreams after all."
"Ok I will bye Haru-San."
With that after the two of them said goodbye, both him and Kurenai had appeared back on the fire country's border.
End of Dream World
"Naruto-Kun what happened?"
So Naruto began to tell Kurenai what happened while he was there. How he met Haru and she let him live out his dream of not only becoming the hokage but also allowing him to kill his mother. He also told her about some life advice that she gave him.
"Naruto-Kun she, gave you some great life lessons. But this is another one that you should know one becomes truly strong when they have someone to protect."
"Wow, Kurenai-Sensei, yet another piece of great advice. So Haru-San gave me the scroll that officially makes Yume no kuni and Konoha allies."
"Should we head back to Konoha now our mission is over?"
"I was thinking that if you'd like after I send a messenger bird to the Hokage giving the mission report I can ask him if he'll allow us to go to Uzushiogakure. How does that sound Naruto-Kun?"
"That sounds great but why would you offer to take me there?"
"Because you're my student of course and since you were able to get Haru to agree to make Yume no kuni and Konoha allied countries. So think of this as my reward."
"Thanks Kurenai-Sensei, that's why you're the coolest."
"Why thank you just for that I'll make sure that neither of us will have to go on D-Ranked missions."
After a few hours of waiting the messenger bird came back from the Hokage telling them that he approved of going to Uzushiogakure and that it would be considered a B-Rank mission. So with that both headed out towards Uzushiogakure.
